Best Pizza Restaurants in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"Technically a high-end liquor store with a full-service restaurant on the side, Trevor’s Liquor is an unassuming spot to find standout pizza. After a certain internet agitator/online pizza reviewer drew attention to Trevor’s, lines were out the door, but the initial frenzy has since calmed and it’s now easier, finally, to find a table. Pizza remains the main draw: Made with flour from Hayden Flour Mills, the crust has an earthy, complex flavor and nails that elusive crispy-chewy balance. Cooked at a lower temperature in a combination gas-and-wood-fired oven, these pies aren’t fully Neapolitan — but come close. There’s no carryout for pizza, so plan to dine in (and possibly wait) if it’s busy." - McConnell Quinn

Stopped in for the first time to celebrate my birthday with some family. Fantastic experience Gabby was hilarious and such a treat to have taking care of us. Pizza was amazing and didn’t disappoint and the drinks were awesome. No complaints

I absolutely love this place. The wood fired pizza is delicious! And the cocktail Summer Daze is my all time favorite. So sad that they took it off the menu. I’d go there just to have it. Luckily, they are next to one of my favorite book stores—so, I’ll be back, even though the drink won’t be. Seriously Trevor’s management re-think taking it off the menu.

I usually go to the Trevor's on McDowell. I know that layout pretty well, but this time I was on Indian School and saw this Trevor's. Lively and happy sound filtered through the parking lot. I wanted a High Noon and thought here's a quick stop. The cashier told where to find it, then I headed towards the wall of coolers and a sea of cans. No luck. Asked the next staff person. The second person got me closer. After a few more minutes of searching on my own.. There It was, on the very bottom shelf. THAT would have helped had I been told it was bottom shelf. Anyway, I was already frustrated, then I found an empty space where I was supposed to find a Tall Boy...and it would have been $7.99. Dang... Back to the car..

I go there for friends, ambiance. & Salads. Arugula is EXCELLENT )I substitute for romaine). To have A high rated pizza (my friends love them), i find them average. This time it was not good (reason 3 stars). By the time we soaked up the grease (that settle in the center) the crust was like paper. I always request not to burn the outside crust. (Ive owned pizza joint, so I’m aware.)

Bro. You get what you pay for. Very good and strong cocktails. I had a Sidecar and it was tasty and strong. We also had two of the 23 beers on tap. I had a Hefeweizen and my wife had a Mexican lager. Totally awesome. Large Caesar salad was one of the best I've had in decades. You know in one bite there is garlic anchovies and some spice included with all the appropriate ingredients. The pizza, in it's style category, is absolutely worth the hype. The tomatoes in the sauce, the mozz blend, the meat quality, the bake , the thin crust that holds it all up is the Mohammed Ali of NY style crusts. You're like "We'll see. And then one bite and you're- whammo!" They have a "better than ranch" dipping sauce that you better get or you will be haunted by what you missed out on. Very good waiter. Attentive and professional. We went in for lunch and had no problem getting sat. Can't imagine this place during the evening rush. Make reservations if they take them. BTW It was raining and the clerk offered to walk us out with an umbrella. Top notch service.

We were visiting Phoenix from Calgary, Alberta, and knew we had to try Trevor’s—and we weren’t disappointed! Our entire experience at the Gaslight Square location was fantastic. From the moment we walked in with our two kids, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming. Our server was awesome, and gave us great recommendations and was super helpful and patient. We started with the meatballs and Caesar salad—both fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The meatballs were especially memorable, thanks to the creamy ricotta on top, which added just the right touch of richness. For our mains, we ordered a large half-and-half: Double Pep and Trevor’s Combo. Chef’s kiss! The crust hit that perfect balance between crisp and fluffy, and they definitely don’t skimp on the toppings. Every bite was packed with bold, satisfying flavor. The kids shared an 11” cheese, and our 6-year-old devoured it—she declared it the best pizza ever. Whether you’re coming with friends, family, or just craving amazing pizza and drinks, Trevor’s is well worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Phoenix!

The pepperoni on this pizza was absolutely overwhelming. Let me qualify the statement with: pizza is supposed to balance flavor with quantity. Unfortunately, Trevor's liquor pizza balances neither. The pepperoni was extra thick and there was way too much. There was not enough dough, cheese, or sauce to verify the cost to quality ratio. I have absolutely no idea if the crust, cheese, or sauce is good; because of how much pepperoni there was. The topping essentially blankets the experience and asks you "how did you enjoy your pepperoni". I don't believe this pizza was worth the $33 I paid. Maybe I need to try other things on the menu; but I'm unsure if other selections match the experience of my choice this time. Currently, I will not be returning, not because of the cost, but because of my expectations. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement; as I also feel like I paid a premium for what I recieved. If I had no other choice, and I had no other experience with pizza, I would assume that this is the best pizza in Arcadia; which is a wholly incorrect statement.

Being from New York and being accustomed to really good food Pizza is one of those things that can be important to us. While this is not New York Pizza it’s the best pizza that I’ve found here the valley so far. It’s wood fired and they use Pecan wood which adds a bit of subtle flavor to the pizza. We also ordered an arugula salad to share and it was delicious. If you’re looking for good pizza, a good experience and all around good food the. Trevor’s is a good choice! Our server Jay was very nice and helped us to understand their process and the quality of Ingredients they use for there pizza. Nicely done 👌🏼
