The Best Restaurants & Bars In Fremont

"Within the dusty facade of a wood-paneled dive, Triangle Spirits casually serves some of the best fried chicken sandwiches in town. Their brittle dredge is delicate, breast meat stays moist, and simple toppings—lettuce, pickles, and plain ol’ mayo—prop up the poultry nicely. Their impressively straightforward cheeseburger with yellow american and relish-y special sauce is just as exemplary. Add some crispy fries or a scoop of mashed potatoes drenched in beefy gravy, and you’ve got way more than just a friendly, chill bar that shakes a mean coupe cocktail. You’ve got somewhere to sit down for dinner on purpose. " - aimee rizzo

Their brittle dredge is delicate, breast meat stays moist without tasting waterlogged in buttermilk, and simple toppings—lettuce, pickles, and plain ol’ mayo—prop up the poultry nicely. Your Guide to a Seattle St. Patrick’s Day | Eater

"A Southern-inspired cocktail bar that has quickly become a whiskey-focused heavy-hitter, offering expertly crafted drinks like the Hibiscus Paloma and the Black Barrel Manhattan. The menu skews toward comfort-food classics—deviled eggs, meatloaf sliders, and especially fried chicken, which is the bar’s specialty—designed to pair with thoughtful cocktails and strong whiskey selections." - Vox Creative

Google
Great atmosphere for a bar. We went here for mid-afternoon drinks. I had the Great Expectations cocktail. My fiance had the Don't Call Me Karen which was a simple drink that came with a topo Chico. Both were delicious. Service was really good, and staff was very friendly. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area P.S. The Popcorn Chicken was phenomenal!

Google
Really great place for a bite and drinks. The food was great and the service was incredible!! Our waitress today was great and really attentive! Will definitely be returning.

Google
It was a nice afternoon finding after walking through a rainy day. I had a shot of Browne single malt and my friend a Rusty Nail. Each drink was $10. We didn't eat anything. Atmosphere was great. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and yet not overbearing. :-) I even took a picture of a poster to send my husband who is a Fernet fan. I wish they had told us that we were at the Center of the Universe! :-) only found out when I got to the Airbnb and looked up the place online. But hey, we were there!

This place is such a vibe! Drinks are great, they have a fun twist on all kinds of beverages. Food is awesome and staff was fun and conversational! I 100% will be back soon!

Google
This is our go-to Happy Hour spot. Staff is great, if you are lucky enough to engage with Sarah, you will leave having had some of the best cocktails around. Chicken is worth the stop alone…Nashville hot, of course. Update—there has been a shift in service the last two times I have visited. Chicken is still great. I’ll let others decide for themselves. No longer our go-to…

Google
Extremely awesome vibes every time we come to this place. Our waitress was quick, kind and loved that we were doing the Soupocalypse Fremont event and couldn’t wait until we chose a soup. We were able to split the soup 3 ways and still get our stickers the beef stew was probably the best beef stew I had ever tried. When it isn’t the soupacolypse, I really enjoy their poutine often, and their fried chicken sandwiches! It always comes out hot and fresh, never any complaints. The gravy is a spot on recipe. The bar is always popping, amazing drinks are made here, so I wouldn’t miss out on it if I were you!

Google
This is our second time going and it has been a great experience. We had their spicy chicken sandwich, the triangle burger, and their chicken & waffles. All of it was very delicious and their chicken is so juicy and not a hint of dryness. Their hashbrowns & Fries are the best we’ve ever had. The mac wasn’t good and I mean Mac because it barely had any cheese. Service was great and the waitress was very nice and welcoming. Definitely come try this spot out! Don’t forget to try out their garlic aioli sauce!

Google
Love this place, awesome cocktails, the fried chicken is amazing, thoroughly recommend. Warning: They're not messing around when they warn you about the hottest Reaper option for the chicken. I love spicy food and this is the hottest thing I've ever tasted in my life. My mouth was on fire and my eyes and nose were running for 15 mins after two bites. My whole body is now tingling and I have some euphoria vibes so that bits kinda fun

Yelp
Cool bar / restaurant with yummy cocktails, and fried chicken. Basket of fries (appetizer) is huge - definitely shareable. I love the popcorn chicken and all the dipping sauce options. Service is always friends and the tunes they play have always been vibey.

Yelp
One of the classic Fremont spots. Excellent fried chicken, great drink selection, and friendly staff. The Mac and cheese wasn't good, but that really isn't the specialty. As usual, looking forward to my next night out here.

Yelp
This place was so cute and a vibe! My friends and I stopped by for a drink before dinner and we all loved our drinks. I got the mule and it's one of the best mules I've ever had! The drinks were also so reasonable in pricing which was great and our server was sweet. She did take some time to come around with the check but was able to get us all individual checks which was great. They usually have a game playing on their TVs so that's fun and just overall good looks great too.
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
The drinks were quite good, especially the seasonal ones. The food was also better than I anticipated for bar food. The truffle popcorn was quite well down in particular. Overall tasty! The server checked in with us enough. The ambiance was fine though it was hard to find a good spot to sit and see the TVs as it was pretty full. Overall it was a fun and kitschy kind of space and I liked it!

Yelp
Believe it or not, Triangle offers some of the best fried chicken in the area. Are you brave enough to try the Reaper rub? I promise you, you're not. Wash it down with one of their creative cocktails, lots of really fun and flavorful drinks coming from behind the bar! Triangle is located right in the heart of Fremont, offering a unique layout, and an inviting patio space for outdoor seating. Service isn't always the quickest, but they'll get to you, just be patient. The food is worth it.

Yelp
Triangle Spirits is a fantastic bar to hang out and enjoy drinks. Their bar food is absolutely delicious and really hits the spot. The bartenders here are top-notch. Name a drink, and they can make it with their fully stocked bar, even if it's not on the menu. Their expertise adds to the great experience. The servers come around often to check on drinks, which I really appreciate, especially since some people drink faster than others. I've been here twice for birthday celebrations, and we have always had a fantastic time.

Yelp
Triangle Spirits has been around for decades, and it's evolved over the course of time. And in its current version, they have elevated both their f & b program with a serious whiskey selection and tasty eats. Their Whiskey Wednesdays is one of the best deals in town where you can get a shot or cocktail of good whiskey for $10 (recently it was Whistle Pig). But their regular prices on higher end spirits like Wellers are among the best in town. It's also Wing Wednesdays so that sweetens the deal. The fried chicken is rightly famous, and they also do a decent poutine. There are a bunch of regulars for good reason, and the bar is a great place to strike up a conversation or kick back solo. Definitely a mainstay of the neighborhood and always love stopping by, weather for 10 minutes or 2 hours.

Yelp
Super nice staff and SUPER dog friendly! Only had drinks and a beef stew but will definitely go back!
google avatar

Ainsley E.

Yelp
Really cool ambiance here. Nice open outdoor space, good music, nice staff, N/A cocktail options, fun cocktails, a couple TVs for catching games. Didn't eat but food looked legit. Would be a regular here if I lived in Fremont.
google avatar

Rebecca Q.

Yelp
The best happy hour deals ever with a great outdoor patio. The truffle popcorn and al dente creamy mac and cheese were great snacks and portions. Loved the midori sour and vodka collins, but the vieux carre was a bit too strong. Great speedy service!
google avatar

Yelp
Ambience (3/5) - It was Friday night when we went! By 11pm., the place was deserted. The drinks were decent and the menu was simple. This is a nice spot to go if you're looking for somewhere to casually hang out or to discover while exploring.

Yelp
A local business with strong dive bar vibes - but still upscale cocktails - we love it. I recently came in for a after-dinner drink and really enjoyed the ugly duckling - it was almost like a French 75, but with pear juice. While they have food, I did not try any - but what I saw looks good! Service was personable and quick.

Yelp
I recently made my first visit to Triangle to celebrate my birthday along with 20 or so of my nearest and dearest. I called some weeks ahead to make sure they could accommodate a group our size and emailed the manager with our details so she could reserve the front room for us. There was a bit of a mix-up upon our arrival, probably due to my having to change the date, but the person who ended up being our server for the night (I think her name was Melanie?) took the news in stride, quickly pivoted to get us situated, and took very good care of our party that night. Dim lighting, casual and lively (or maybe that was just us...), cabiny vibe complete with taxidermied animals, plus a list of great sounding cocktails that were just as attractive and tasty as they sounded on paper (or our phone, as the case was). They're also known for their fried chicken which got the thumbs up from our group. They have a Beyond burger for veggie folx and mocktails if you're not in the mood for spirits. And their fries are really good. Truly looking forward to coming back again.

Yelp
We had already eaten, so popped in here for a drink and dessert. Love that they serve buckeyes here! They were okay, not fantastic, but a great price at, like $2.00 for 2 of them. Or maybe it was only $1.00. We loved the ambiance in here, as well. We talked about coming back, then my husband excused himself to go to the bathroom. He came back frazzled, as while he was washing his hands, a cockroach crawled over his foot. Wet weather draws roaches, I know - they were practically roommates of mine when I lived off a canal in Fort Lauderdale. But it skeeved my husband out to the point he said he wouldn't be quick to come back here. Minus one star for the unwelcome guest lol

Yelp
I liked this place! They have a variety of cocktails, I had a coconut tiki inspired drink as well as a happy hour pimms cup. I had the popcorn chicken, it was really tasty. I got the Nashville hot and it wasn't too hot. The chicken was very crispy. I enjoyed it!
google avatar

Eva H.

Yelp
Triangle spirits happy hour!! Their fried chicken (recommend the spicy but the plain is very good too) is insanely good and always comes out extremely hot and crispy. Some of the best prices for happy hour food with good serving sizes I've seen anywhere in Seattle. Staff are friendly, the space is super cute and I love that it has solid seating options for any size of group. Bathrooms are clean. Overall 10/10.

Yelp
If you ever find yourself looking for a bar to hang at while your kids are enjoying (?) a death metal concert at El Corazon, trek the 16 minutes up to Fremont and come here. Delicious craft cocktails served next to cans of Rainier. Chicken to die for with perfectly crispy crust (hint, ask for extra pickles on the side) and delish crispy fries There is a neighborhood bar feel to Triangle Sprits, welcoming, where every body might not know your name when you walk in, but they intentionally find out to use it when you leave. Bartender John is an expert at his craft and service, knowing how to connect people, how to make drinks, and anticipate every need. I'd come back just for his company again! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I first came here 20 years ago when I lived in Seattle. It was a regular hangout that I loved. I am so happy to see it is still an awesome neighborhood bar that feels the same as it did back then. Even happier to report that they have upped their food game! I brought my family to show them around Fremont and when we wanted to find a bar with food, I remembered Triangle. Came for happy hour drinks and eats and just fell in love all over again. There's nothing to dislike. All the staff was super nice and the beer list is solid. And then the food! I am a sucker for all things Nashville hot and was not disappointed! The fries were crispy and the chicken juicy and proper. Paired with a happy hour special of a $4 local beer in a can and we were stoked. I'm so glad this place is still standing and love this gem of a bar. Will definitely go back next time we are in town. Don't skip it!!
google avatar

Maggie B.

Yelp
We stopped here for a drink and discovered that they sell buckeyes, 2 for $1. It was exactly the sweet treat that my midwestern heart needed! The drinks were great and service was good too. I feel like this place is always crowded so I'm glad we finally tried it. The music kind of sucked but hopefully it was just a bad night for music? Will definitely have to go back to confirm. Wanted to take off a star just for the music but that didn't seem fair, especially since we didn't eat dinner there
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
Service was nice but the food was very blah. The spicy happy hour chicken tender dish is heavily breaded and very salty. Will go back for the happy hour if in the neighborhood but not a must have.
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
The chicken here is incredible! I love the popcorn chicken so much. The fries are also very good and a very large portion for the price. Service is always friendly and quick. And I love the open window doors and outdoor seating at this location.
google avatar

Danica S.

Yelp
Great place to stop towards the end of our long walk. Right in time for happy hour from 3-5pm! Tried the spicy chicken and fries basket which was juicy and flavorful, and not very 'heat' spicy. Plenty of crispy fries and I left full for $10! The old fashioned was delicious too! Wonderful customer service to top it off! Looking forward to coming again!

Kaelan O.

Yelp
A fun spot for food and cocktails! We ordered the poutine and Nashville fried chicken sandwich and both were delicious!

Scott W.

Yelp
Soundly Defeated! Carolina reaper wings are not a joke. And to be clear the staff gave ample warning to my wife who more or less said, "I'm from China I got this". Well they were very nice and got us a glass of milk because no, we did not "got this" not that I ever stood a chance. So pass on the ghost wings is my advice, but you can't dock a point for your own hubris.
google avatar

Thomas L.

Yelp
Been in the restaurant industry for 25 years. Grew up in the south eating fried chicken. This place to me has the best chicken sandwich in Seattle!
google avatar

Semih A.

Yelp
When god made the chicken, he did not expect it could be fried like this. If pope ate Triangle Chicken, he would excommunicate all other friers for committing sins. Go there after 9p and eat the spicy three piece chicken and you'll no longer eat another fried chicken.
google avatar

Yelp
The building is well named for its architecture. We went on a Saturday night and walked - I felt quite safe in the neighborhood. It was busy but we found a table right away, the waitperson was attentive, had to scan a qr code for a menu. I ordered a rum and coke that was really coke. Was quiet enough to actually talk.

Keith A.

Yelp
QR code menus and the bartender was super rude when I asked for a regular menu. Need to name and shame these places. I walked out. I go to Fremont regularly. All told. Me not going there will cost $1k in business. Is it worth it?
google avatar

Pratima M.

Yelp
A fun little bar in the heart of the Fremont neighborhood -- stopped by for some late night bites before heading to a nearby midnight comedy show and it was the perfect spot to hang out while we waited until showtime. The atmosphere is super laid back and we had a great time there. The servers are very sweet and check up on you without being overbearing. The have a limited menu but serve food late into the night, as well as a ton of great drinks! The fries were super yummy and the mac and cheese was fairly basic but just about what you'd expect. They have a great drink combo called the 'Come Hell or High Water' which consists of a tequila shot with a watermelon High Noon. I would totally come back again!

megan w.

Yelp
Had a great night here last Friday! We brought our pup so we sat on the patio. The entire staff was so kind and attentive and very knowledgeable about the drink menu and gave great suggestions. The food was really great too! We'll definitely be back, our pup loved all the attention and will be happy to return
google avatar

Hansi D.

Yelp
Walked in here on a whim and was immediately created by the cozy atmosphere. Perfect spot to sip a cocktail at the end of the night. Great service and reasonable prices. Can't wait to go back to try some food too.
google avatar

Yelp
I've always passed by Triangle Spirits when I'm in Fremont but glad I finally was able to check it out. We were there during happy hour so we ordered wine and beer. We got hungry and ordered the popcorn chicken and fries, both really good and needed after a few drinks! The atmosphere is chill and it wasn't too packed for a Thursday. Would definitely come back!
google avatar

James C.

Yelp
Excellent service, chicken and fries were delicious. Great outdoor patio. Popcorn Chicken is delicious too and plenty to share.

Yelp
If there's anything that you know about me, I'm like most of us who have a cultish devotion for fried chicken. Good fried chicken has a magical quality in its combination of tender, juicy chicken, and crispy, fatty coating. Triangle Spirits is a warm, welcoming bar with an inviting atmosphere. I love its concept of "booze & bird." These are my thoughts: AMBIENCE: cute historic triangle building and 21+ FOOD - Dark meat (3 pc) - the dish came with thigh, drumstick, a flat wing, and a choice of 1 side. The fried chicken can be served with different spice levels: traditional, hot or reaper (very spicy and adds $2). I got spicy, which I thought was very tolerable, so I'd love to try the reaper one day. The Mac and Cheese as the side was creamy and comforting, but it didn't have the Panko-Parmasan topping I craved for. DRANKS: - THE O.F. ($13) - classic drink with old forester 86 bourbon and bitters. - UGLY DUCKLING ($12) - bubbly drink with Sipsmith gin, pear, and lemon juice. I'm a sucker for pear cocktails, and this drink did not disappoint - Triangle Spirits has an impressive whiskey list. I want to come back during the winter when they have seasonal specialties like boozy egg nog, spiked hot cider, and hot buttered rum. Yup, it's that time of the year. I look forward to trying their happy hour! This place is unquestionably delicious.
google avatar

Yvette 'Divie' E.

Yelp
I'm not surprised this place has 4.5 stars; it's a great find in the middle of Freemont! Food/drinks: I enjoyed 2 different types of old fashions (strong and quite good) and the happy hour truffle popcorn (the size of a small at the theatre). The happy hour menu is a great deal; I saw that the chicken and fries plate was the size of a meal and the mac and cheese was a cup. I'm curious to try their food menu since they have gluten free buns! Service: Really good! We sat outside and we were checked on regularly. We also were there for a very long time and didn't feel bothered, pressured, or rushed. Ambiance: Reminds me of a tavern inside. Has character and was packed! I can't wait to come back! Tip: the HH drinks use a cheaper liquor and different ingredients than the full menu drinks (at least for my drink), so it's worth trying multiple versions!

Yelp
Triangle is worth the wait. I kept telling myself that since I've tried to eat here twice before, but the line was just too long. I've heard legendary tales about the greatness of Triangle's crispy boiis, and I knew I would stop at nothing to try it. We arrived with voracious appetites, and ended up waiting about an hour to get inside. I was fired up about the Restaurant Week deal, and tried to order it but they stopped serving it after 8. I was striking out left and right, and was frazzled about what I would order now. But then we came together as a TEAM and decided to take down the MONSTEROUS DINNER FOR FOUR! It was a half-spicy, half-original recipe battle to the end. With four sides of mac and cheese, and two of green beans, this with a meal for the ages. I felt better about what I was about to do to my body since we had some vegetables. The chicken was outstanding, with a great level of crispiness on the outside. Each bite was crispy, salty, AND juicy. It was seriously a mind-meting experience. Exactly what you would want out of fried chicken. The spicy version wasn't overly hot, and had a very nice flavor to it. I also didn't feel ridiculously disgusting after eating an absurd amount of chicken, so I was very happy about that. A great spot to chow down on some chicken, can't wait to try other things here.
google avatar

Alex G.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, food, drinks, and service. They have some creative cocktails and we enjoyed the ones we tried, as well as their thoughtful and fun presentation. The fried chicken sandwich was amazing! Ridiculously crispy and well seasoned breading surrounding a juicy chicken thigh! The staff was laid back and attentive. Definitely coming back!

Annymous M.

Yelp
Very underrated and under assuming! Had great service and great drinks! It's a really cozy cute place for dinner or quick drinks!

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night around 7 pm and had no wait, which was great. Saw many groups of friends, couples, and first dates. Its a great vibe! We got a "don't call me karen" drink and and O.F. - the "dont call me karen" was not great, it was very bitter and I thought it would be sweeter. They gave mineral water on the side of the drink and I wasn't sure what to do with it so i poured it in my drink... maybe thats what made it not as tasty. We ordered a mac and cheese app, it was pretty tasty but they used rotini pasta instead of macaroni noodles so that threw me off a little. I ordered the traditional dark meat plate with mashed potato and gravy. The chicken was SO good, the perfect cripsy chicken. It was very flavorful and not dry at all. The mashed potatoes were ok, they were overwhipped and didnt have much flavor, I asked for salt on the side. We also had the Nashville hot chicken sandwhich served with fries. The Sandwich was amazing and the Nashville hot was a dry rub which we prefer. The fries are honestly AMAZING ( i would go here if i was ever craving fries)! I want to come back here for brunch since so many of their photos are of their brunch food!
google avatar

Katie G.

Yelp
Went here for the second time and we will continue coming back! The chicken sandwich and happy hour cocktails were amazing.

Tony S.

Yelp
Loaded review: best friend chicken I've ever had across the continental US, absolutely magnificent service every time I've been here. Every food and drink item I've ever had here is exquisite! The only complaint I have is that they stopped making and selling pickles. They used to have the most magnificent pickles for sale, and they no longer have them. Please bring back the spicy pickles.
google avatar

Bubba H.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quickie...this place is killer. The bartender came up with a drink I've never heard of before....Rainier, all the fruit behind the bar and a shot of vodka in a pint glass!! I highly recommend. #spodielife

S G.

Yelp
Happy hour is not that good. We tried aloe of items and just MEH. Slow service. Average food. Glad we tried but won't be back

Devin D.

Yelp
Eat here all the time. Food is amazing and the drinks are stiff. Thanks for being a consistant eatery in our neighborhood.
google avatar

Lauren A.

Yelp
Fun restaurant/bar option in Fremont, and would definitely stop by if you're doing a bar crawl! They have great Happy hour appetizer options like popcorn, popcorn chicken bites and massive delicious fries (pictured). Glad we didn't order 2 for the table, 1 was plenty! Lots of outdoor patio seating but the inside is really charming. It almost feels woodsy like a saloon while still very modern. The prescriptions bar theme is awesome!
google avatar

Tara H.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour, while wandering around in the Fremont area. We had our dog with us, but were able to sit outside and still view the inside TVs. We only ordered things off of the happy hour menu, since we weren't very hungry. We did enjoy deviled eggs, meatloaf slider, and mac&cheese. The deviled eggs were good, simple. The meatloaf slider was flavorful, just a tad bit salty for our taste. The mac&cheese was also good and fulfilling. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here and would come back again.

Yelp
A nice chill vibe going here. I stopped in today when I had a few minutes and was walking by. I had some time on my hands and I thought, why not had a scotch before I continued on my bike about the city. I popped in and pulled a seat at the bar. The sign advertised "spirits" so I had high expectations of what they might have. The bartender was a nice fella, and quick with the drink menu. I scouted over it but noted they really didn't have much variety to their scotches. No matter, I ordered an obvious but good one. "We are out of that one" was the response I got. Back to the drawing board. So I looked directly at the shell and ordered a common scotch. It was plenty good. I soaked up the rustic vibe they had going. It was solid. Their were many other patrons even though it seemed to be the slow part of the midday. I enjoyed my quick drink and bounced out. But not before telling myself that I should spread the word a bit on this joint. So I have :)
google avatar

Jesus R.

Yelp
The spicy bbq sauce was amazing! I really enjoyed the pricing. With half orders and small portion size bites you can try many menu items without spending too much money. The server was very attentive and we had a great day watching people walk by from the window table. The full lunch and full brunch menu was available during weekend brunch.

Yelp
I used to come to this place all the time when it was One Hundred in Unmarked Bills. Then it changed hands and the food went downhill fast. Decided to give it another chance at the urging of a friend and I'm so glad I did! Same great drink menu and fantastic whiskey and bourbon selection AND the food is fantastic! Can't wait to return again!
