Yelp
Wow. Found my fav pizza place in LA. By far the BEST of the ones I've had. I had pizza all over north Italy (where thick square pizza is claimed true pizza) and the thin round style from Naples (also claimed to be the real Italian pizza). This, I have to say blasphemously, tasted even better than the square northern Italy pizza (the comparable type to this).
Triple Beam's pizza has several ridiculously good qualities:
1) The bread is like a thin focaccia bread, so has air bubbles allowing it to be light, airy, and crispy. (They probably did add quite a bit of oil to it as it has a moist taste: but not really caring about the calories when indulging on pizza day lol). But emphasis on the THIN, so it doesn't feel heavy and its crispy. YUM.
2) Their flavor choices / pairings, are unique and gourmet (reminds me of Italian pizza, aside from their offering of pineapple with prosciutto which Italians may revolt at lol). Their ingredients are equally FRESH and high quality tasting (no canned pineapple sir/madam). The mozzarella tastes so fresh.
3) The pricing! 1st, I've never seen a restaurant that actually offered their food for the same price on the delivery apps as if you ordered directly via phone/in-store (they typically add on a few dollars to compensate platform costs). Triple Beam's price was the same on Door Dash as their menu! Awesome! So fair, and THANK YOU! Thank you for being kind to your consumers. 2nd, their pricing of the pizzas, I consider it fair and the options provided, delightfully smart and considerate! I can order just a 1/4 of each pizza flavor, try more pizza flavors, all for fairly the same price as if I was ordering 1/2 or a whole pizza! Their single slice (which honestly is enough for 1 meal) is literally just 1/2 price of their 1/2 pizza or 1/4 of their whole pizza...+.50 cents difference for some flavors (which I can definitely live with for the option of having more flavor choices in my order). This is probably feasible b/c their pizzas are squares rather than whole pies. So no more having to buy myself 2 whole pies just so that I can have a 2nd flavor option.
Other insights are that the ones reliant on ingredients, like the mushroom shallot pizza, is generously jam packed with ingredients (meaning I can't even see the pie), while the more sophisticated ones like prosciutto pineapple are elegantly, tastefully decorated.
Finally, this is the first pizza EVER in my life that I got delivery (then waited another 40 mins) and didn't feel the need to reheat my pizza in my airfryer. Unlike other Americanized pizzas heavily reliant on and covered in cheese for flavor (which needs to be hot to be enjoyable), their pizza cooled down was delicious still (can be like a savory light, crispy focaccia bread you get from a bakery). Of course, certain flavors with more cheese covering on it/heavier, are still tastier reheated (airfryer 320F for a few minutes does wonders for reheating pizza, makes it like freshly made).
I got:
1) San Marzano Tomato Fresh Mozzarella (was my favorite! The most light yet just right seasoning. Keeping it simple really tastes the best! Aside from very fresh + plentiful basil leaves, there seems to be a slight drizzle of olive + chili oil? Delish!),
2) Acorn Squash (3rd fav, just right slight sweet + savory)
3) Pineapple prosciutto Jalapeno (2nd fav b/c I love pineapple pizzas & that combo Prosciutto is a saltier meat tho)
4) Roasted Mushroom Shallot (4th fav b/c also love mushrooms)
5) Bolognese: this was delicious reheated, cooled down it was a bit saltier.
Honestly they were all delicious and aside from #1 choice, the others are ranked due to personal ingredient favorites & purely b/c have to rank. Or else 2-4 are same level. Highly highly recommend. Muah.
