Best Restaurants in Stratford | Where to Eat Near Stratford Westfield - Eater London

"Thai Pie is another of those East End quirks that serves both Thai food and pie and mash. Curries are the standout here, thrumming with heat and depth of flavour. The goong choo chee is also worth trying: fat juicy tiger prawns stir fried in a deep amber curry sauce, redolent with lemongrass and kaffir lime, this dish is both comforting and refreshing." - Shekha Vyas

First, they accept card but prefer cash. We bought cash to be safe because I wasn't sure from these reviews. Food was delicious! Super fresh (we came for lunch on Sunday, were the only people there so had to wait a while for everything to be made from scratch), punchy flavours, seemed authentic. £90 for 4 people. We got the fried fish with chillies and lime (the centrepiece), pad kra prawn (spicy), panang curry, papaya salad (the spiciest dish there, as it should be) and chicken/prawn salad. We have high spice tolerance and were definitely feeling the heat, it was great.

VISIT DATE: FRI 13/12/2024 VISIT TIME: 19:30 Situated a short walk from Stratford (and even closer to Maryland station), this is a nice enough looking establishment, which seems popular with locals. Portion sizes were reasonable and the food tasted nice, but wasn’t outstanding. Has a lot of seats as there is another area to sit downstairs, but points lost for the fact that upstairs you will get cold during winter as no inner door to prevent the cold coming in when people come in and go out, plus no sign of an accessible toilet. It also wasn’t very clean and the waiter misgendered my female friend based on her having short hair.

My visit to Tripti’s Thai Pie was a delightful and memorable experience that brought authentic Thai flavors into a cozy Stratford setting. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a relaxed vibe and friendly décor that made it perfect for both casual dining and a comforting meal with friends. The food was excellent. The Thai curries were rich, aromatic, and beautifully balanced, with just the right level of spice. The pies were the standout – a creative fusion of Thai flavors wrapped in a comforting, flaky crust. Dishes like the green curry pie and massaman pie showed both originality and authenticity, making the menu feel unique and exciting. Fresh ingredients and thoughtful presentation elevated the experience further. The drinks complemented the food well, with refreshing options like Thai iced tea and a selection of wines and beers that paired naturally with the bold flavors. Service was warm, attentive, and genuine. The staff explained the dishes with enthusiasm and made thoughtful recommendations, ensuring that the visit felt personal and welcoming. What made the visit special was the combination of authentic Thai flavors, creative fusion, and heartfelt hospitality. Dining at Tripti’s Thai Pie felt less like a routine meal and more like discovering a hidden gem in Stratford. Overall, Tripti’s Thai Pie is a must‑visit in London – a place where Thai tradition meets playful innovation, offering delicious food, great drinks, and a cozy atmosphere.

Came here before West Ham game. Was not very busy, I imagine is busier in the evening. Food was great, although I accidentally ordered 2 mains as I picked a rice that was a main to go with my red Thai curry. So very filling! Crackers were nice and fresh also.

Outstanding Thai Flavors in the Heart of Stratford! Thai Pie is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, modern atmosphere. The menu offers a fantastic range of authentic Thai dishes and Traditional pies and a fast food menu for the kids, With each bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. I tried the Pad Thai, Green Curry, red curry and some of the appetisers, all were exceptional. The ingredients were fresh, the spice level was perfectly balanced, and the portions were generous. Service was prompt and friendly, and the staff clearly care about making every guest feel welcome and attentive to their needs. Whether you're a Thai food connoisseur or trying it for the first time, Thai Pie is a must-visit in Stratford. Highly recommended!

They accept cards but clearly favor cash. We decided to withdraw some money to stay safe, especially after reading mixed reviews. The food was outstanding—way beyond what we expected—with fresh ingredients. The flavours were bold and authentic. The bill came to about £90 for four of us. We chose dishes like fried fish with chillies and lime (the star of the meal), spicy pad kra prawn, Panang curry, papaya salad (the spiciest, true to tradition), and a chicken/prawn salad. Even though we all enjoy spicy food, these dishes delivered just the right amount of heat, which we really appreciated.
