Best Restaurants in Stratford | Where to Eat Near Stratford Westfield - Eater London

"Thai Pie is another of those East End quirks that serves both Thai food and pie and mash. Curries are the standout here, thrumming with heat and depth of flavour. The goong choo chee is also worth trying: fat juicy tiger prawns stir fried in a deep amber curry sauce, redolent with lemongrass and kaffir lime, this dish is both comforting and refreshing." - Shekha Vyas

VISIT DATE: FRI 13/12/2024 VISIT TIME: 19:30 Situated a short walk from Stratford (and even closer to Maryland station), this is a nice enough looking establishment, which seems popular with locals. Portion sizes were reasonable and the food tasted nice, but wasn’t outstanding. Has a lot of seats as there is another area to sit downstairs, but points lost for the fact that upstairs you will get cold during winter as no inner door to prevent the cold coming in when people come in and go out, plus no sign of an accessible toilet. It also wasn’t very clean and the waiter misgendered my female friend based on her having short hair.

Came here before West Ham game. Was not very busy, I imagine is busier in the evening. Food was great, although I accidentally ordered 2 mains as I picked a rice that was a main to go with my red Thai curry. So very filling! Crackers were nice and fresh also.

Outstanding Thai Flavors in the Heart of Stratford! Thai Pie is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, modern atmosphere. The menu offers a fantastic range of authentic Thai dishes and Traditional pies and a fast food menu for the kids, With each bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. I tried the Pad Thai, Green Curry, red curry and some of the appetisers, all were exceptional. The ingredients were fresh, the spice level was perfectly balanced, and the portions were generous. Service was prompt and friendly, and the staff clearly care about making every guest feel welcome and attentive to their needs. Whether you're a Thai food connoisseur or trying it for the first time, Thai Pie is a must-visit in Stratford. Highly recommended!

I had a great time at tripti’s thai pie. I went with my family of 7. We ordered loads of different foods and all of them were delicious! Our favourite were the chops, they were flavoured and melted on the tongue. We also enjoyed the chow mein chicken noodles once again very flavourful. Would recommend the strawberry mojito sweet and zesty. The staff were friendly and smiley. Would go again. It’s family friendly restaurant.

Came here to try out the infamous coconut rice, its the best one by far I've had in London and its totally worth the trip just for this rice. Also loved the beef pad med mamuang...I always ask for this to be extra super spicy and they do exactly that. When sitting-in the portions are amazing, did takeaway for 2 boxes on a separate occasion and did feel those had noticeably less meat (more like a standard portion of meat other places do rather than one I gladly struggle to finish). Havent seen the place be busy which makes for a cozy atmosphere. The staff and owner are super friendly and professional. This has become my local go-to Thai place.

Came as a family and we all really enjoyed it, their menu catered to everyone's taste with a variety of tastes and dishes. The size of the portions were pretty good and it didn't take very long for our food to be served. Staff were quite friendly and accommodating, would try this place again.

We had a delightful time at this Thai restaurant. A welcome spot on the Stratford high street, the service was friendly, the food was well cooked and reasonably priced and the atmosphere was cosy and warm. I would recommend it as a place to eat.
