The Best Nepali Restaurants In NYC - New York - The Infatuation

"From the people behind Phayul, Trisara Restaurant and Bar is a Jackson Heights spot with Tibetan and Nepali dishes. The dark restaurant has a large bar in the back and a collection of tables up front, all of which have views of televisions which loop videos of Mount Everest. In the evening, pair your fried beef momos with a cocktail, and at lunch, salty, glistening butter tea, which a server will pour from a large thermos perched on the bar. The only soundtrack is momos frying, and the chatter of people who realized they really needed a thali set with free refills tonight. We especially like the dal bhat here, which has baby-soft lentils and a few scallions on top." - willa moore, sonal shah, bryan kim

We had visited Trisara for our family get together after getting reviews about the restaurant. For me the restaurant is over hyped restaurant. Type:People calling the restaurant fine dining have no idea what a fine dining is. It's casual dine in. Service: Average, compared to the rates the food is charged. Vibe:The good thing about this place is live music. Food is average. No wow factor, 3.5 /5 Dislikes: Not a good place for beer lovers, they only serve bottled beer (as per the f&b server) I had to go for the bottled beer instead of draft beer these days. No Sherpa, no barhasinghe selling just old traditional bottle beer shows how much they listen to the customers. No chilled glass for serving beer. Hope this brand will not perish adamant to changing eating habits of the customers. Kids friendly: it's not kids friendly as it doesn't have non smoking zone for families having kids. Wishing them best of luck.

I had the pleasure of dining at Trisara, a fine dining restaurant in Katmandu, Nepal, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the warm and inviting ambiance, which set the tone for a truly unforgettable evening. Food: 🍕🍛🍲🍴 The food at Trisara was outstanding! I ordered a variety of dishes, including pizza, fruit salad, soup, and fish, and each one was expertly prepared and presented. The flavors were bold and exciting, and the portion sizes were generous. Standouts included the wood-fired pizza, which was cooked to perfection, and the fresh fruit salad, which was a refreshing and healthy option. Live Music: 🎸🎹🎤🎶 The live music at Trisara was a wonderful addition to the dining experience. The musician was talented and played a range of songs that were both familiar and enjoyable. The music added to the warm and intimate atmosphere of the restaurant, making it feel like a special occasion. Ambiance: ,🏮💡🪩🪴 The ambiance at Trisara was truly exceptional. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, with a warm and inviting color scheme, comfortable seating, and elegant table settings. The lighting was dim and romantic, making it the perfect spot for a date or special occasion. Tips for Future Visitors: - Be sure to make a reservation in advance, as Trisara can get busy, especially on weekends. - Don't hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations – they're knowledgeable and happy to help. - Be sure to take a moment to appreciate the beautiful decor and ambiance – it's truly special!

The live music was awesome with good song choices, music and vocals. It was a bit loud though. Food and service was good too. What we didn't like as a group of non-smokers is that there were no separate places designated for smoking and people were smoking next to us in the building. Either smokers should be sent outside for smoking or have them seat separately Trisara. The smoke was ruining the otherwise lovely experience.

It wasn’t just dinner. It was an experience and one I’d happily relive again, one of the top-rated restaurants in the country. The ambience with lighting, tasteful decor, and that made the setting feel special. A live musician (Prasanna Adhikari) performed throughout the night soulful music, It created a perfect backdrop for the evening. The food was outstanding. Each plate was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. By the end of the evening, I understood why Trisara has earned its reputation. It wasn’t just about the food or music, it was the seamless harmony of everything..the ambience, the passion behind the service, the surroundings.
