"Sky Blu, a rooftop bar at Tru by Hilton Dallas Market Center, is opening on Thursday, June 23. Cocktail enthusiasts are welcome to sit at the bar or in interior leather club chairs and enjoy a classic cocktail while admiring the views around this location right off the Stemmons Freeway in the Design District. If you’d like a glass of something new, Sky Blu also offers half a dozen cocktails. At the opening, these include some twists on classics like iterations of an Old Fashioned, a margarita, and a passionfruit rickey. But there are also some inventive options, such as the Normal Clothes, made with mezcal, charred pineapple, lemon, and habanero shrub or the Tally Man, made with Maker’s Mark, Plantation dark rum, Averna amaro, and a banana liqueur." - Courtney E. Staff was really pleasant! The location next to the interstate is a bit of a throw off if you’re sleeper. However, they to do have white noise generators to mask the sound of the highway(quite ingenious) The remote controls everything in the room so it’s really modern. I’d stay there again if I was in town.

I don’t know how this place isn’t one star. It’s newer but has the worst soundproofing I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Considering it’s right next to the freeway, that’s a huge problem. This is especially true when big rigs drive by with their Jake brake on. I felt like I was sleeping in a tent on the side of the freeway. They give you ear plugs and a noise machine on the nightstand in an attempt to mask the freeway noise. Maybe you should have built the hotel with proper soundproofing for the location.

Be aware that the proximity of the expressway will keep you up at night, especially if you're assigned a room on the expressway side. I complained about the noise, and to their credit, I was assigned a different room. However, they invaded my privacy, went into my room, and moved all my possessions without any communication or permission. This is actually illegal, as it wasn't an emergency and I've paid for the hotel room. This isn't cool. You pay these people good money for privacy and comfort, and Tru couldn't care less. No apology or acknowledgement that what they did is wrong. There are much better options out there. They stuffed my clothes into a grocery bag...

Google
The parking was free and they provided a welcome bag that included a bottle of water and popcorn. The room was clean with plenty of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The towels and wash clothes were clean, fresh and soft. They went the extra mile and provided ear plugs on the night stand, since our room faced the highway. The staff was pleasant and friendly from the moment we checked in the time we checked out.

I can’t recall what floor we stayed on but I couldn't hear the club music, maybe because we got back after 2am. Check in there was a long line but the room was clean and nice. The freeway everyone is complaining about is not that bad. They have ear plugs. Not having a working elevator is insane but it worked when I was there. Having to pay for parking in a city is pretty standard even though it sucks to have to pay extra. It’s a cheap hotel though. Seems like most of these reviews are left by people that don’t travel much and want 4/5 star amenities from a 2 star hotel. Get over yourselves or spring for something more than $120 a night. Heading to another hockey game soon and will stay here again as long as the elevators work. 😂

Rooms: Our room was located right next to a Shell gas station. Gas station customers were peeling out the parking lot and blasting music throughout the night( now we understand the complimentary ear plugs in the room) Service: Charged for valet- No valet available. Elevator still not working after several months is CRAZY!! Location: This CANNOT be an original TRU Hilton hotel. The hotel already looks run down. This is NOT the Hilton quality hotels that I’m use to staying at. It was NOTHING about this hotel that screams luxury, great view, quiet or great value about it. Highly disappointed!!

Google
I stayed here to attend a convention and it was walkable distance. The room was clean, charming, bathroom was clean and nice too, but this hotel is next to the express way, so it was very noisy, so if you are light sleeper, you should ask the hotel for a room on the other side(my friends stayed on the other side and they said it was quiet). There is no alternative milk for a coffee or a cereal :( but you have a small fridge big enough to be able to store a gallon of milk or less. There are some cereals vegans can eat. So.....when checked in, you have to swipe credit cards as a procedure, and it's normal, but normally you won't be charged anything until you checked out. But...my friends booked rooms through booking.com and trip.com were double charged or charged full amount of deposit money right away, so we told the staffs about it, and they said they would consolidate, but my friends were charged on their credit cards. So please be aware if you book through those 3rd party booking company. There is no store in walking distance, I cannot say it is safe or not, but I didn't have problems while I was staying.

Great for the low rates. I read reviews before I stayed and was a little worried about the parking and highway noise, but we had no issues with either. You can definitely hear cars on the highway, but it didn’t bother me, my husband, or our 14 month old. If you are sensitive to sound, just bring ear plugs. Great breakfast, very clean rooms, friendly staff, and great location for everything we wanted to do.

Yelp
ALL AREAS ARE REVIEWED 1-5, 1 being the worst and 5 being the best. Reservations- 5-easy with Concur Parking-3-Not nearly as much as I would have expected for a large hotel Room-3-The room itself was gigantic ( I believe it may have been a wheel chair accessible room). The decorations were spartan, one cheap desk chair, one very small desk, no table, a few lamps and a bed. As my trips are working trips I utilize the desk for work and usually a table to eat. I ended up having to eat off of the ironing board... Mattress/pillows-2-Hate to say it but mattress was ok and pillows were horrible. Each pillow felt like it was way past its expiration date and was super mushy. Elevator speed/availability-1-Big hotel, two elevators and one out of order the entire time. The clients and staff had to take turns and it could take a long while to get a lift. Took the stairs down a lot but you can't take the stairs up as the doors are internally locked. Also a note, you must use your room card to access your floor. Gym/pool-4-Gym was ok, several treadmills, dumbbells, bench, ploy-box. A machine would have been nice for variety. Restaurant-n/a Breakfast only Staff-5- Very polite and as helpful as possible. Price-2-The variation in daily price was a little ridiculous, with the room doubling in price from Monday night to Tuesday night. Overall-2- A lot of work needs to be done in my opinion to meet the Hilton quality. This is a TRU so maybe that's just the way they are... Shout out-Front desk- always very helpful.

Yelp
Don't believe anyone who gives this place a 5 star. It's a 5 star for price. It's a 5 star for the free coffee and tea served 24/7. But that's about it. Probably a 2 star place but I'll give it a 3 star for a few reasons: I think it being so cheap and for the coffee and tea served 24/7 gives it a half star. It's located right next to the highway and it can get noisy at nights but they provide a white noise machine and that helped cut out a lot of noise. That gets a half star. Huge tub of lotion that comes with the room. It's not the greatest of lotions but gets the elbows to not look ashy. The bed was also pretty okay. Didn't wake up feeling like I slept on a cloud but didn't wake up sore. It was slightly above average. Half star. Staff just goes about their business and keeps it pushing and the cleaning crew does a spectacular job keeping everything sanitized. A half star there. There is a lot of signage of things to do. It's colorful. There's a pool table. There's also a bar on the 9th floor. Little things like that makes up for all that it lacks. I'll give that a whole star. Why it can never be a four or five star place? Location. Breakfast was okay. Front desk staff was also the market staff. And also changing out the coffee and tea. And also cleaning a bit in the lobby. And also guarding the bags if you need to store them somewhere. They were doing a lot of work. Which I appreciate them for. But if they stepped away from the desk for too long, then a long line could build up. The gym was pathetic. There was four cardio machines and dumbbells that goes up to 50. And a ballet bar for stretching. I was hoping for a slightly bigger gym with one or two more equipment. Basically it's good enough for cardio and stretching. I also hit the gym pretty regularly so I may be expecting more than what the price of the room calls for. Given the price, I think it's a pretty good place to stay. If it increases, I'll think twice about staying here. Mostly saw business people and solo travelers here. Not a ton of families. 3 stars.

Yelp
Pathetic! Stayed here in October for one night. Paid a pretty penny($270) Upon checking out, after I showered I noticed this exposed wiring in the bathroom. When i brought it to the Hotels attention it was about a week later. I called, the manager began to question me as to why I didn't bring up the matter when I was there... dude you want to combat me? It was 4:30 am when I checked out i'm half asleep. He offered 15000 points which hasn't shown up in my account. At this point i just want a full refund because this is pathetic! Its been over a month.

Yelp
The "Tru" is a truly simple hotel. The brand was launched by Hilton to snag some of the low cost market. It's around 20% cheaper than Hampton inn on average and there's many pronounced reasons why. 1: it's cheaper so they had to cut some corners. The decor is cheap, it's a new hotel brand so it still looks decent but you can tell by looking at the idea Furnature that if they don't remodel in 5 years it will look pretty gross. 1a: the gym is small , limited amenities in the gym and there's one out of two treadmills that don't work and the other one is full of nasty stains you can tell it's not well maintained. I gave it the benefit of the doubt at first and came back the next day at noon and still, the same stains; the same machines broken, cleaning staff didn't think that guests don't want to touch dirty things. There's even critters running around right outside the gym. 1b: the breakfast is limited and they close it down earlier than other Hilton's so less people can eat it. 1c: they boast the best rooftop view in the city but then everytime i come here it's closed and I can't go. So it's sort of useless, they should at least open it up to guests to bring their own wine and use as an observation deck of the city when the full service isn't available. 1d: the managers are rude here, especially the ones closer to the top of the food chain. It didn't happen this time but last time they were very confrontational. You might be wondering why I came back. Well sometimes I come to Dallas on a layover, and I'm just coming to rest my head, so I don't get an expensive place and on days they have conventions most of the hotels are expensive besides the tru. 2: your Diamond status means nothing here. Be it as it may, even though you had to stay 60 nights per year to earn your status, this hotel won't honor a 2pm late checkout, which is your normal right. Even if they are completely empty and able to do it. I know, I've tried a few times, even the Hilton Diamond concierge couldn't convince them to honor it, last time Hilton had to end up paying the hotel for the extra 30 minutes I spent as an apology to the hotel insisting to charge me for it. 3: I've read a lot of reviews about the valet being rude and greedy but luckily I haven't parked my car yet to experience that. 4: the room itself was not in stellar condition, we found a few crumbs on the floor which led us to believe that it was not cleaned perfs

Yelp
Run dont walk away from this hotel. 35$ a night only option is to valet. No where to get water in the lobby (have to go to basement in gym). Sign in the room about room service says every other day yet we stayed thurs-sun and never got it. Asked the front desk on check out day - "you have to ask for your room to get cleaned". The breakfast is terrible. Truly poison food. It's hard to get in and out of the parking lot with homeless people all around. Dirty in the lobby. Need to work in your room? I wouldn't! It's a little tikes rolling desk. Can't believe how much we paid for this.

Shaun J.

Yelp
Where do I start? I know, with the positives. The hotel staff were very polite and inviting. The location is extremely convenient to downtown. The lemon and sugar body wash was very invigorating in the morning. That was it. Upon entering on Saturday, the lobby is bright and festive. But as I went to reach for a luggage rack, there wasn't one. Check in went fairly smooth. I went to the elevator, only one elevator was working. The hotel was full, therefore, it took a while to catch an empty elevator. Upon arrival to my floor, I noticed I could hear the highway traffic in the hallway. My room was clean and earplugs were provided by Hilton for the highway noise. My darkening shade was broken. Our room was never serviced from Saturday-Wednesday. They had very tiny trash cans that were never changed. Towels were never replaced. We even had to go downstairs for toilet tissue. On the last day, the toilet clogged. The room was so noisy at night, especially when large trucks passed by. I thought it was a thunderstorm outside. Breakfast was decent the first day. However, the remainder of the days, it was inedible. The sausages were never browned properly. The oatmeal was either too thick or thin. There was cereal with no milk. Two of the juices were out of order. I only ate a couple of pancakes when we found the breakfast attendant to refill the machine. Buy check out, we were swatting gnats. Also, the rooftop bar was never open. They had private events there two of our nights stay. They were closed the remainder of our stay. Disappointing.

Racheal S.

Yelp
None of the elevators work. No shitter fan. Loads of homeless in the area. Parking was confusing. Rooftop bar isn't open to hotel guest. Front desk ladies are sweet - ambiance was good. Seems clean enough. No ice machine on 4th floor, but one on every other floor. Cheap for a Saturday night.

Paul H.

Yelp
Initially hotel was great! Clean, staff was extremely friendly and forced Valet was not bad at all. Day 2, the rooftop bar was shutdown for a broken AC, shortly after all the elevators broke, so everyone was forced to travel to and from their rooms by only stairs. The kicker is, the front desk staff never told anyone checking in until they tried to use the elevator. Location is rough, it's centralized downtown, but right next to a highway, that's abnormally loud. Morning breakfast is fine. Our last two days there, the front desk attendant was a lovely older woman, but she had no idea how to operate the computer system and was alone a lot, causing a lot of frustration in her part. Note: the valet attendants customer service range is wild. One day, 10/10 amazing, the next I would get handed my keys and have to ask where they parked my car at. I'm sure if everything was working, this would be okay, but for us, it just kept going downhill.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Elevators didn't work, no option to self park (valet only). Would never stay there again.

Karla B.

Yelp
This hotel is so so so dirty!!!!!!!! I got bitten by bed bugs this weekend. This isn't even half of how my body looks.

Scott H.

Yelp
Positive: Staff was very nice, but that's it. Negative: Tru is a cheaply appointed hotel. The price should have been less than $100 for multiple reasons. The biggest being the location which feels like it is under the freeway. We carry a small shop fan whenever we travel by car for overnight stays. Even the noise from it couldn't cover up the noise from the freeway. If you can't sleep through traffic noise throughout the night then don't stay here. I wouldn't ever recommend this location to anyone!

Fabian R.

Yelp
In Dallas for another work event and stayed here for a few. Check in was seamless and I booked my room for $120 per night. I wasn't aware that there is also required $35 per day for valet parking, there is no self parking. My room was clean and well cleaned but be aware there aren't any closets. Each morning I was pleased by the breakfast options, with items such as cereal, muffins, sausage, eggs and even a self cooking pancake maker which all came as part of my booking. Overall it was a good stay and conveniently located near central areas of the city.

Justin W.

Yelp
Terrible front desk attendant. Room was paid for with work and would not let us check in- showed confirmation email, gave card holder name and card. Was rude and did not help.

Drew D.

Yelp
Paid for our visit up front and there was an issue with how they handled the payments prior to our arrival. They tried to charge us another $480 for the room and $150 of incidentals. Remember where I said we paid up front? Well Erin, I'm assuming the Front Desk Manager, got the situation figured out...or so we thought. Next day, our card is declined, location after location, and having warned the bank about our travels, we knew the card wasn't locked. Looking into it more deeply, we have been DOUBLE charged for the room. Ruined the entire vacation. Came here for a concert and couldn't get any merch because of this. I have spoken to the same person at the front desk, who spoke over me, and wouldn't answer any questions; wouldn't even give me her name. I was told that Erin would be here today at 11AM, and calling at 3:50 she's already left for the day. The woman at the front desk told me there's NO ONE ON SITE to handle this, and that I'll just have to wait until Monday. Not everyone just has $500 set aside. This is the WORST experience I've had traveling. In addition to all of this, I am a disabled veteran, and my sister is also physically disabled. We were NOT informed until check in that their elevators were not working, and were put on the 4th floor. The only redeeming quality of this visit, is the poor bellhop who seems to be the only one working and is demanded to do everything for everyone.

Mark K.

Yelp
$500 for two nights in a tiny room. Barely enough room to get around using my walker. The ONLY parking is valet at $35 per night plus tax. The TV had Netflix, however I had to sign in with my own account to use it. Saturday when I was ready to leave for my event the elevators were out of order. A staff member had to come up and carry my walker down the stairs while I made my way down by myself. Sunday morning at 5:30 the smoke detector went off and woke me out of a sound sleep. The staff was friendly enough but the hotel sucks.

Sara B.

Yelp
Kayla was very nice & great with giving us info about our stay! Rooms good, pool table in lobby, rooftop bar

David B.

Yelp
Staff was Excellent! Hotel was clean! Hotel sits ON THE HIGHWAY - so it is EXTREMELY NOISY with highway traffic. Our Room faced the highway and the noise was awful. They gave us a sound machine which helped "a tad." Also, the pillows were AWFUL - feather pillows and flimsy. My head touched the bed!

Maryanne M.

Yelp
The noise from I-35 is horrendous, even when staying on the top floor. Only stay here if you plan on not sleeping. This is miserable! I'll never stay here again.

Kimberly C.

Yelp
I got a call from my spouse that said "pack us a bag we are going on a spontaneous trip to Dallas. I will pick you up in 40 minutes " I said awesome and got us packed up. When we were almost there we said hey let's go to the state fair tomorrow. We were so excited. We got on our Hilton app and found this hotel. We pulled in and went inside and boy did we pick a bad weekend it was Texas/OU weekend. Everything was booked. So I got on our app and it said there was still one room left so I booked online and with points and bam...we were in! It is a very nice hotel and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were very nice with microwaves and mini fridge. Of course our highlight was the rooftop bar over looking downtown Dallas. We basically parked our car in the valet parking and Uber and walked to all the fun stuff around the hotel. The hotel was very festively decorated with balloons for photo selfies and the breakfast was outstanding. We will definitely try this brand of hotel again. Only down fall was that you had to valet park. Lots of great restaurants right there as well.

Israr K.

Yelp
Too much noise from traffic. Valet parking is $35 once you pay for your parking they will give you direction where to park. Microwave was super dirty

R M.

Yelp
This is the noisiest hotel. I have stayed at many hotels on freeways and even inside airports and none were this noisy. Not only is it noisy from the freeway, but they play loud booming music in the bar that you can hear and feel throughout the hotel. There are signs in the hall that request quiet starting at 10pm, but the booming went on last night until after 2am. No respect for the guests staying in the hotel. I will not stay in a Tru Hotel again and do not recommend it. I did not even want to give one star, but you have to if you want to post a review.

Kevin S.

Yelp
My experience at Tru by Hilton was less than stellar. While the staff seemed to be accommodating, the facility is definitely not worth the price. The rooms have absolutely no comfort appeal and limited amenities. The desks are small, there is no carpeting in the rooms, there is no drawer space, and what's worse, the toiletries come from a squeeze bottle rather than an individualized soap, shampoo, and conditioner. You must request toothpaste from the front desk. There are only basic cable channels and my room faced the highway, so it was very noisy. It's great that breakfast comes with your booking and available from 7 am to 9 am. However, don't expect the meal to be recommended by Gordon Ramsey. Hand sanitizer was available at the elevator, but the container was empty during my 4-day stay. If you want luxury and amenities, do not book here. If you need a nap and nothing else - enjoy your rest.

Meagan S.

Yelp
Immediately had a bad taste in our mouths from the valet. They were unprofessional and thought we were bribing them with cash to not valet but we were just trying to pay over night. Almost kept our cash until my husband called them out. The website we used advertised a pool, which we booked so that our kids could play. Upon arrival we learned there was no swimming pool. Rooms are subpar at best. Breakfast was fine but basics were out by 8:30 and coffee creamers were gone. All small things that I would have let slide had everything not been such a horrible experience. I voiced my concerns with the operation manager, Jakory, who was very kind and polite but unfortunately had nothing he could do to relieve our frustrations. Would not recommend if you are used to anything above the bare minimum when it comes to hotels.

Naddia P.

Yelp
It was my first time at a Tru, I was booked at the Sheraton and were overbooked and moved us here. Never again. The hotel is near the highway therefore very noisy, in the room it was that there is a white noise machine and ear plugs but there isn't, when I asked at front desk they say they run out, so why have the sign in the room. Then I keep getting the texts from hotel asking how is my stay and when I express my issues their reply is just this is a basic hotel, not for the price you charge! And finding excuses why the machines are not available, again, don't put the sign in the room saying that it is in the room. Too basic rooms, hate that there is no wardrobe, no drawers, no safe! It is near the Market center so mainly is business people staying here, not sure anyone would like this concept. I will for sure never stay again. Breakfast was pretty basic but no peanut butter, I thought that was very basic to have, not here

A W.

Yelp
Gave this hotel 2 stars for the ladies at the front. Had it not been for their sweet smiles I would have given this hotel 0 stars. If you want to overlook a gas station while the freeway noise keeps you awake or rocks the hotel , stay here! The only hotel we've ever stayed at that came with ear plugs on the night stand! We should have left when we saw them.

Johnna S.

Yelp
I give Tish at the front desk 5 stars ! I was greeted with the warmest smile as I approached the desk ! She was very personable and great. She made the beginning of my weekend the best! She is a definite staple for your hotel . I will be back if Tish is there !

Kim S.

Yelp
Keri aims to please! She has an amazing presence, goes above and beyond. Love to see her smile! The hotel was spotless, coffee & tea bar stocked well. Nice size room with nice decor. So very pleased. Keep up the amazing work! God Bless! Kim

Party H.

Yelp
We stayed at the Tru by Hilton hotel to attend a hockey game. We were greeted by the friendliest warmest people. The gentlemen in charge of valet parking, impeccable. The ladies at the check in desk, our person "Charisma" was an absolute doll. There was a meet and greet going on the roof top lounge, plus a busy check in and these ladies were handling it like pros. The rooms were clean, fresh and updated. The location is great. Centrally located. We will def book here again.

Shannon H.

Yelp
Really didn't want to write this review because I've had a number of visitors with fine stays here however, after this past weekend I had to share. There were a number of issues but for the sake of time, I'll narrow it down to a few. My in-laws stayed here this weekend & 48hrs into their stay they noticed house keeping didn't come to their room once. When they requested house keeping they were told it had to be requested 24hrs in advance. Although confused, they then requested house keeping for the next day. The head of house keeping then said "no sorry, it's a holiday weekend & we're too busy." They then asked if they could just get a few clean towels then & she rudely replied "no we ran out." Additionally, they had paid for overnight valet. Due to changes in the trip, they would no longer need to park the car at the hotel any longer, so they asked the concierge if she could accommodate their stay & only charge the $10 day charge as opposed to the $35 overnight. She then told them that she couldn't do anything about it that day & had to take care of it the next day. They obviously didn't want to wait till the next day because they would likely be charged the full overnight fee but abided her rules. The next day they luckily spoke to a much nicer & understanding employee who not only took care of the issue on the spot but also told them that there was absolutely no reason why the employee couldn't assist them the previous night & apologized for their trouble. Like I said, there were a number of other issues just in the short duration of their 3-day stay. Hopefully this review can save some people from experiencing the horrible & unpleasant service my in-laws did.

Mitch E.

Yelp
I'm assuming my experience was certainly a one off but felt the need to share. Tru is located off the freeway and is a clean and nice building. The amenities are sparse compared to other Hilton locations. The rooms are modern. At about 11 pm during my stay the alarms went off and we were to evacuate. The fire department was there and allowed us back into the hotel after about 20 minutes however no one turned off the alarms so it was loud speaking and noises. I had to fall asleep over the loud alarms. I woke up and the noises ended but the alarms were still going off. I'm not one to ask for a discount but they also didn't apologize or give any explanation. The free breakfast was mediocre with dry eggs and decent bacon. Staff was friendly. For my first experience at a Tru, it was disappointing. Luckily, Hilton has many options.

Rebecca T.

Yelp
Room was clean, Staff was friendly, but it was basically a dorm room literally! No real furniture (dressers, night stands, closet, coffee pot, or tub). Pegs and pipe to hang clothes, dorm bench to put luggage and shoes. The bed was uncomfortable and I would roll into my husband. Pillows were soft but flattened. It was right on the interstate (35E) and so loud they give you earplugs and a white noise machine which did not help. They charge you $35 A NIGHT for your vehicle. Will be the last time my husband picks a hotel.

Josh K.

Yelp
Predatory fees. I visited this week, was shocked to see an additional 125.30 charge on my AmEx when I checked this morning. I called the hotel for an explanation, I was advised that this was a pet fee and a valet parking fee, neither fees were disclosed at the time of check in. I told the rep I had not used the valet service and had elected to self park. The rep advised it did not matter if I declined it or not, the valet charge was still applicable. This will unfortunately be my last stay at any Hilton owned property. I understand we now live in a fee excessive world but I do expect for these fees to be disclosed before I agree to them. A big middle finger to you Hilton and the rest of the fee obsessed companies that make up corporate America.

Yelp
Poor customer service. Erica at the front desk needs to be fired. After a long exhausting trip I arrived at the front desk to check in. I gave Erica my name and reservation number she told me that Booking.com canceled my reservation. I found that strange because I didn't receive a email notification. I call Booking.com from the hotel lobby and was told my reservation was not canceled. I asked Erica twice if she had availability and if she was sure that my reservation was canceled she said yes the reservation was canceled and no she had no availability. Booking.com was nice enough to call the property however we already begun to make reservation at another hotel. We were in town for the State Fair and wanted to ensure that we had a place to stay while in town. Don't get me started on the cancellation fee debacle due to hotels error (Erica) Erica needs to be fired.

Yelp
You know it's going to be a bad visit when you walk through the door to your hotel room and the funky smell hits you and you look out your window and the view is of a gas station. The noise is so loud that one of the amenities is ear plugs. No full length mirror and bare bones furnishings. Imagine if Ikea had a hotel, this would be it. Do not stay here! This place is a dump and I have to imagine no better than a Motel 6. I'm a Hilton Honors Diamond member, in town for the Final Four and I wish I could cancel this reservation and I would be willing to drive 30 minutes to the game.

Yelp
The staff is wonderful and the hotel is very clean and nice. But the room is so loud from the traffic on the interstate. Make sure you bring ear plugs or get pass-out drunk if you decide to stay here.

Yelp
Hidden $35 daily valet fee, NO other option for parking. Tiny parking lot, I could walk steps to my car myself and drive off but had to wait for valet person to retrieve it. That was a bit much.... such a hassle to come and go, which we had to several times a day. Really worried about so many people being in and out of my car, and getting door dings. Would not have stayed here had I known that. Make this more visible on your website please! Most employees were pleasant but a few were very unhelpful, spoils it for all. We did feel safe here, given the area. Comfortable beds, hot shower, quiet room. Decent breakfast, wish they had ice or water available in the breakfast area. That was weird, and inconvenient.

Yelp
Staff is so friendly & this is good for what it is. I would HIGHLY recommend you ask for a room not facing the freeway though, I had a lot of trouble getting sleep. Other than that, clean and simple.

Yelp
Worst hotel stay I've had. Checked into the 8th floor, as soon as I walk in my floors are so sticky my shoes stuck when I walked. Ignored it, got back from dinner getting ready for bed and I see cockroaches by the door. I call and get a new room immediately and they move me to the 6th floor. The freeway noise is much louder to the point where it's hard to fall asleep. Old food was left in the fridge and the alarm went off at 6 am, which means the fridge was never cleaned or the side tables with the alarm and lights if the alarm hasn't been reset from the previous guests. I stayed in a different tru Hilton location the night before and didn't experience this at all. To say I'm disgusted would be the least. I will never stay here again and would never recommend this place to a friend. Would give 0 or negative stars if that were an option.

Yelp
Raymando was ab absolute jerk at check in. Very unpleasant and not in the least bit helpful. Room was on highway side. I think we heard every dump truck in texas hit the seams in the bridge on said highway. Worst night ever in a Hilton product. Stay away, on top of a very small room, $35 dollar a night valet parking only...

Yelp

Yelp
Upon checking in, we were informed there is a $22/day parking fee. Plus incidentals. Everyone infront and behind us were just as shocked as we were. Erika and her co worker, not sure of his name but initials are R.R. Were INCREDIBLY rude and said we should have been told over the phone. Obviously we were not, and neither was anyone else in line. They said it can't be removed but they can give us a couple of drinks to compensate. We decided to stay, let them charge our card, and they charged our card twice. They rudely argued that neither charge was approved and made us call our bank, and still argued with the bank that neither charge was approved. We decided to leave and cancel our reservation since no one showed any compassion, professionalism, or remorse for treating us like trash. I don't care how nice the hotel is, you don't treat customers this way.

Yelp
Girl working in the front is very rude, does not try and handle situations correctly, would not let me check in over my reservation Having a typo. You are in the hospitality business this should not happen.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed in this hotel this weekend. It is a beautiful hotel. STAFF WAS AMAZING (5 stars for them). The rooms were clean, very spacious. However, the bathroom was not the same as the picture on the website. Their soaps, shampoos and conditioners all smelled so good! I loved that. Sadly, I am giving this review 3 stars and it comes with a warning. They are now charging a $21.00 parking fee to park at their hotel. I think this is unnecessary when you are paying to stay at the hotel. If anything, just include it in the price of the hotel and not make people pay right as you pull up. We just got out of our car and was met in the parking space by an employee who nicely explained the new rules of parking. We booked through a expedia, so there was no warning of this before hand. There may be if you book through their website. Just be aware before staying at this location.

Yelp
Even though I'm a Hilton Rewards member I had never tried Tru. Now, I question whether I ever want to try Hilton again. This was a new and clean facility or I couldn't even manage one star. The staff, on the other hand, were the most rude I have ever experienced in an overnight stay and I actually spent a few nights in a Mexican jail years ago. If Hilton had any part in training these people they need to reconsider their role in the hospitality industry and consider government service. Also, though I am accustomed to a parking charge, I have never seen it held from disclosure during the booking process or even the "What to Expect During Your Stay" section of the Hilton app, so just know it's coming even when they don't tell you. And because of that, the online check-in is not a streamlined process because you have to wait and wait and wait on the previously mentioned rude staff to register your vehicle even if you checked in online or through the app. My advice, if you come in a car you're just better off sleeping in it.

Yelp
Front desk employees are very rude and make very ugly faces as soon as you walk in, they don't make you feel welcome. I told the lady the button wasn't working she didn't even acknowledge me until I figured it out on my own like a minute later and she just proceeded to finish my check in. I told her I checked in online and she said our e check in isn't working and I I said okay we'll I filled out the information also just letting her know and she said "I just told you it's not working so it didn't work".there was old red lipstick on the bathroom floor which we didn't have and the floor seemed like it wasn't swept. I won't be coming back mainly because the lady was very rude and unapproachable. It's the second time we've stayed here and the customer service was just as bad.

Yelp
Nice and clean but I won't be staying here again. Highway noise is very loud even on the 7th floor.

Yelp
The staff was phenomenal. Very friendly. The room was a little too small, I felt like I had no room to put anything anywhere. My main complaint is the parking fee. I specifically picked a hotel that said free parking onsite because we have had so many bad experiences with high parking fees. Then all of a sudden when we arrived it had changed to 22 dollars a night. They have their own large parking lot. Why do we have to pay to park? It really made what was going to be an affordable stay very expensive. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you. We had homeless (who are staying under the bridge right across the street) fighting and a car accident that missed hitting the hotel by feet plus very loud traffic. Will not stay again.

Yelp
If I could give 0 reviews I would. We came here on a business trip and booked here as it was convenient to where we needed to be. Upon getting here they were unable to find our reservations. We booked 5 rooms. 1 earlier then the rest. So we booked again at a higher price for the 5 rooms. And somehow, miraculously they found the reservations the next day. And refused to help with getting a refund. The manager Erin came out and didn't even give us a chance to talk about the issue. She kept talking over and she was really rude. I don't want to say race was an issue but it sure did feel that way. I have never seen treatment like this in this type of business. Usually hotel managers are here to help you and not come to a problem with aggression like this manager did. I hope that in the future this doesn't happen again to anyone as this was one of the biggest inconvenience of our trip. (Patiently waiting in the lobby as i write this so our staff that got here earlier can come and get their belongings. Currently looking for a new hotel)
