We have been to this location several times. Friendly and prompt service, delicious salads, and great desserts- esp gluten free options! Chris was our server most recently and was very attentive, friendly, and efficient. Pictures below the citrus salmon salad and poke bowl.

True Food Kitchen took my taste buds on a sublime culinary journey that felt both nourishing and indulgent. We started with the Hummus, a zesty and tangy delight that came paired with warm, perfectly seasoned bread — each bite an invitation to savor rich, earthy flavors. The Farmer's Egg Scramble brought an unexpected yet exquisite harmony of sweet and savory notes, with tender sweet potatoes balancing beautifully with the seasoned eggs. For the main, the Salmon was a standout: cooked to perfection, its slightly crisp exterior gave way to a tender, well-done center, beautifully complemented by creamy avocado and hearty wild rice. Even the Lemonade arrived as a visual treat, its refreshing simplicity underscored by a gentle, suave seasoning that left a lasting impression. True Food Kitchen is an ode to flavor, where each dish shines with thoughtful preparation and quality ingredients. An unforgettable experience!

Google
Service A+ the bartender Jamie was so nice, helpful and not annoyed by my 20+ questions . Many service people are annoyed if you are vegan and ask too many questions about the ingredients, but she was super nice, got all my questions answered and did not seem annoyed with me. I love they have MANY VEGAN options. Ancient grains bowl and pizza are always great. The kale salad was very yummy, and the chocolate peanut butter tart was very good, it tasted like a giant healthier Reese’s peanut butter cup. Squash soup was ok. JAMIE was fantastic, give her all the good shifts ;) she would also be a great manager. The manager Yordie was really sweet as well, promote her too ;)

Google
Yordie was amazing!! Atmosphere, food, and service were beyond expectation!💯 With our servicers suggestions and trying multiple menu items (butternut squash soup, lasagna bolognese, and Thai peanut noodle bowl), we were far from disappointed! Highly recommend a visit here, try multiple items to find your taste, and enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant. It's definitely a place for everyone!

The food was so good. We sat at the bar and it was clean and pleasant. Didn't feel rushed at all. We had the grass fed burger and it was delish.

Google
The food was delicious! It's definitely worth trying it. It's a bit expensive for the amount of food you get. But the quality of the food is great!

Google
This is one of our breakfast/ brunch places. You can can tell that the ingredients are healthy and organic. The service is always good.

Yelp
Service was great! Came with a friend and the atmosphere was great to just chat and have some yummy food! Keerthi was so sweet and gave some great recommendations!

Yelp
We sat at the bar with Matt and Jamie - it was awesome! Service was great and was so attentive to my food allergies. Gluten free cookie is amazing too!

Yelp
Our bartender Ari was great - very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Food is always fresh and great here. The horchata matcha latte was delicious.

Yelp
Went to true food on Valentine's Day because we had a credit on the InKjnd app and it is one of only a handful of restaurants in our area on the program. It was surprisingly busy, even at 9 PM, but we got seated within 15 min, even without a reservation. Brussel sprouts : 7/10. Biggest sprouts I've ever seen. Ton of flavor and with a kick! Crime of passion: 3/10. Some people would probably love this cocktail but it was far too bitter for my taste Penang curry: 7.5/10. Great flavor. Maybe a tiny bit too sweet and I wish the components were cut smaller. There was a whole quarter onion in there just as one giant chunk? Turkey burger: 6/10. My husband liked it but I felt there was nothing special about it. Not bad, just not great.

Yelp
As noted in my previous reviews, TFK is always a great spot for a fresh and filling meal. However, I recently had dinner here and was disappointed. Not certain if it's due to staffing shortages, but the service is notably slower than it usually is... It took a while for our food to come out, we rarely saw our waiter (he was also serving plenty of other tables), and it took upwards of 10-12 minutes to get a water refill (should've just left the glass pitcher at the table like they usually do). Let me also mention that my sister was given a cracked water glass. We didn't notice until halfway through our meal (there was also low lighting where we were) so there was no use in even requesting a new one, especially if it would take several minutes to get a replacement glass. If the kitchen was backed up, I would've liked to know so we could've ordered more appetizers. Also, we were given the check before even having the opportunity to order dessert so that was a bit annoying - I guess I'm used to the waiter asking if there's anything else we'd like before giving us or asking if we were ready for the check. Aside from the service, the food was mostly good. I really like that TFK can accommodate requests when it comes to the food and it's always of good quality. For apps, we ordered the roasted brussels sprouts and charred cauliflower. As usual they were really good! For my entree, I ordered the spicy panang curry bowl and added crispy chicken (didn't realize they would be chicken tenders, but it was fine). The curry did not taste like authentic Thai panang curry, but it was good for what it was; it should also be noted that it wasn't spicy at all, tasted more tangy than curry/cream. I would not recommend this dish if you're used to authentic Thai curry, but fine as a dish if you have no expectations. My sister had a tuna poke bowl which she was happy with, especially with being able to swap the grain option. My dad enjoyed his salmon dish. We just had plain vanilla ice cream for dessert, and there was some freezer burn on one of our scoops. I hope this visit was a one-off experience because I usually rave about TFK.

Yelp
True Food Kitchen boasts a bright, cheery ambiance and a family-friendly vibe that instantly makes you feel welcome. While it's on the pricier side, the fresh ingredients and organic options justify the cost. I especially loved the buffalo chicken ranch salad--definitely a must-try!

Yelp
Our party of three adults and two kids had a pretty nice dinner experience. We thought the food was good and the service was great. For the kids, we ordered the kids' pizza and the kids' chicken tender meal. The pizza was an all cheese pizza that was about 6inches in diameter. The chicken tender had a couple of veggie and two chicken tenders. They tasted alright. My son really liked the pizza. For the adults, we ordered the Lasagna Bolognese, Meat Loaf, and Beef Dip. Lasagna Bolognese: the mix of cheese, sauce, and a slight kick in the spice was superb. I thought this was the best dish by far. For $20, this lasagna outdid its price. Beef dip: I don't think my sis-in-law liked it that much. I thought the seasoning was a bit too underwhelming. The dish was disappointing in general. Meat loaf: we all thought it was pretty good. The taters, mushroom, and loaf mixed well with each bite. The portion size was awesome for the price. It was $105 post-tax. I'll come back for the lasagna!

Ronda H.

Yelp
We just popped in tonight to grab a quick dinner. The lasagna was delicious and so was the chicken parmigiana. Izzy our server was very attentive and answered all our questions. Great dinner and excited for dessert!!!

Erynne L.

Yelp
Had an amazing first time at True Foods! Izzy recommended the chicken Parmesan which was delicious( forgot to take a pic before I ate it) and finished off dinner with a nice vegan ice cream and cookie. I would highly recommend True Food Kitchen!

Randi K.

Yelp
Fresh and clean ingredients- enjoy a dinner that makes you feel good about eating!- without compromising the flavor. I had the curry bowl and my friend had the strawberry salad with grilled salmon. I tried a Refresher with ginger and lemon and bubbles (no alcohol) which was like a fresh ginger ale- called the OG - a perfect pairing for the dishes they serve up. They have outdoor seating and a view of the water. I didn't give it a five just yet because while the food was a solid meal and I would come back to try other dishes, I wasn't wow'd. I save my fives for wows.

Shannon L.

Yelp
Sam!!! The best vegan cheese recommendation! Food was excellent and location was easy

Tiffany T.

Yelp
I was excited to try the sourdough street corn flatbread, so I ordered 2 to share with a friend. I don't know what happened because they both looked very lackluster compared to the menu photo. The flatbreads were very thin and kind of chewy, and there was barely any corn. What I got wasn't worth $12 each. I also ordered the colossal cookie with ice cream, and that tasted more like a biscuit than a cookie. It's definitely unique because it's made with sourdough, but I would say cookie isn't the right name for it. The restaurant itself is clean and open, and picking up my order was easy too.

Chiamaka N.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots to come to with my coworkers for lunch! Has such a great aesthetic, great healthy options to chose from, and I appreciate that the waiters don't hover which allows for engaged convo. Definitely a staple!

DeAnne B.

Yelp
The food is always so good and flavorful here. Light but definitely enough to fill you up. Jamie was our server and she was amazing!

Eugene G.

Yelp
My colleagues and I decided to give this relatively new restaurant, a try for lunch today. I had the Chopped Salad with steak (protein +$8), medjool date, dried cranberry, jicama, organic apple, aged white cheddar, farro, marcona almond, champagne vinaigrette. While the salad was tasty, it was relatively small and I thought overpriced at $19. One colleague had Not Your Mama's Meatloaf, Verde Farms grass-fed organic beef, herb-roasted fingerling potato, honey roasted carrot, mushroom jus, micro-greens. Definitely not my mother's meatloaf, but it was rich and delicious. This is a restaurant that promotes itself as partnering with local growers, using sustainable methods for serving great food. While I respect the objective, when you go to this restaurant, be prepared to pay a premium price. Service was spotty and disappointing given the restaurant was virtually empty. Not busy at 12.30 pm tells us something.

Lynn F.

Yelp
The food was ok. It was overpriced for sure. The service was lackluster on a Saturday afternoon when the restaurant was not crowded. Our group ordered a number of different entrees, so we got a cross-section of the menu. Beef sandwich was good, but not exceptional, for the $20+ price tag. Poke bowl made the diner ill, although it tasted good. Tenders. Meh. Pizza -- good. Brunch bowl? Ridiculously overpriced. Missing ingredients and those that were there were barely there except for the eggs. $4 up charge for literally 1/16 of a small, under ripe, avocado. Literally four, woody, pieces of asparagus. Three small, single-layer slices of onion. No smoked Gouda cheese at all. Parm was there, but it was about 1/2 teaspoon of finely grated -- so it was about as much as could fit on a dime. At least four eggs. And about 1/2 cup of potato. So, $20+ for four eggs and 1/4 sweet potato. Ugh, no thanks. Service was pleasant but almost absent -- our food took 30+ minutes to arrive, we never saw our server during that time -- and our server was not the one to bring it to us. Server came over after we double-checked a menu for ingredients. That was it, no drink refills or checking on us. For a $130+ tab, service was unacceptable. I wanted to love this place, but we just didn't. Did they run out of stuff and our server didn't tell us? I have no idea.

Jocelyn L.

Yelp
The staff is always so welcoming. I love the menu and I'm so GLAD the pesto pasta is back! This is always a go to for so many reasons. I also love how clean and pretty the restaurant is, the atmosphere is always light. Kaliyah and Natalia are so kind!

jon l.

Yelp
The chamomile tea was super tasty and had free refills. The lasagna was decent except for the noodles. The pizza was pretty tasty - especially the crust. Service was excellent. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They try to be more natural which is generally a good thing - except if you are addicted to soda. They don't sell it. Can be a little noisy, but otherwise a comfortable place to eat.

Janet G.

Yelp
The food is very fresh. We enjoyed our meals. This location has an open floor plan and is spacious.

Molly K.

Yelp
I had a fantastic meal at True Food Kitchen. I appreciate how True Food labels vegan options and has mocktails to enjoy. This True Food location has a large dining area. I was able to get a table Friday night with no wait. The business is also located right off the boardwalk which makes for some nice scenic views. My server was extremely attentive and friendly. She helped me pick a mocktail, the Blueberry 75. It was light and just a little tart which I enjoyed. For an appetizer I ordered the edemame guacamole. I was disappointed with how few chips are provided with the dip. You definitely have to plan out how much dip per chip to dole out. The flavors were great though. Certainly not your typical guacamole but delicious and worth trying with the fun texture of edemame and crunchy pepitas mixed in. The butternut squash pizza is my favorite of their seasonal pizzas. I love that it is the perfect mix of sweet and savory. Also, those vegan ricotta balls are so much better than normal pizza shreds. I love how creamy the ricotta is and it makes the pizza feel so elegant. The vegan cheeseburger uses a housemade patty that I love. The patty stayed intact which is hard to find with housemade patties. Also the burger had plenty of toppings and the cheese was nicely melted on the patty. I ordered the burger with a side of seasonal veggies which were fantastic. This side added a nice amount of heartiness and while feeling lighter than just eating potatoes. The veggies were seasoned well and I would definitely pick this side again. Finally I loved the bathrooms at this location. The bathrooms are gender neutral and give you a lot of privacy. Every part of my experience at this True Food location was 5 stars. I will definitely visit again!

Yelp
I've been to True Food Kitchen 3 times now and have been waiting to review this place because I want to like it. Unfortunately, every time I have gone has been very mediocre. I most recently took some friends on a Friday night. The restaurants next to TFK had hour-plus long wait times for a table, so we settled on TFK (which had majority empty tables). I got their Brussels sprouts and Korean noodle bowl, and one of my friends ordered their pesto pasta. The Brussels sprouts were harder than I prefer...I wish they were roasted a little longer and had a nice dressing or sauce to compliment the savory flavors. However, the Korean noodle bowl and pesto pasta were 10x more disappointing! First, the portion of the korean noodle bowl was so small. The majority of the bowl was filled with bean sprouts instead of the Japchae noodles and protein. We had high hopes for the pesto dish because it was listed as being over 1000 calories. We were imagining a garlicky, creamy sauce but were served watery noodles with a light coating of plain pesto. 4 drinks, 1 app, and 4 entrees ended up being $200!!!?. This wouldn't be a problem if the portions and flavors were there, but unfortunately, it felt like an expensive mediocre meal. I was hoping third time's the charm, but I will not be going back.

Alea V.

Yelp
I've been eyeing this place for a while but it's always so crowded I haven't had a chance to try it out. I decided to have an early dinner to beat the crowd. I had the harvest salad with steak. The steak was a really good cut of meat and cooked to perfection. The waiter suggested a peruvian sauce on the side and it was *chefs kiss* The salad itself without the meat was an interesting set of flavors, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Nothing really brought the flavors together, so it tasted kind of just like a bowl of raw vegetables with the occasional surprise of granola. The carrot cake was good, the frosting wasn't overly sweet. It would probably be great to have with a tea or coffee, because the cake itself was surprisingly cold. My husband had the burger with a side of kale salad. He said the burger was fantastic, so I'll probably try that the next time we come.

Parisa S.

Yelp
Recently dined in true food and they had awesome new menu items that we had never tried and we loved it all! Izzy was our waitress and everything came out hot and exactly as described. Very attentive service and no complaints, will be back!

Roman D.

Yelp
"I recently visited True Good Kitchen restaurant for a lunch with my family and overall, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was inviting and the staff members were friendly and attentive. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere. The food at True Good Kitchen was generally good, with a decent variety of options to choose from. However, I must admit that I found the menu selection to be slightly lacking. The kids menu also lacked choices. There were only a few options available for children and they were quite limited in variety. It would be great if True Good Kitchen could expand their kids menu with more options that appeal to children's preferences. While the dishes I ordered were well-prepared and tasty, I felt like my OG hamburger was lacking flavor. Despite this minor setback, the quality of the food itself was commendable. The flavors were fresh, and the ingredients seemed to be of high quality. The presentation of each dish was also appealing somewhat. In terms of service, the staff members were knowledgeable about the menu and were able to offer helpful suggestions. They were attentive to our needs and ensured that we had an enjoyable dining experience. Overall, I would recommend True Good Kitchen for its pleasant ambiance, friendly service, and good healthy quality food. While the menu selection could be improved with more variety It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area."

Yelp
5:30pm and just a handful of diners, hostess offered a circle table literally right by the door (not ideal for us with two little kids) we asked for another table before we sat down and she acted so incredibly put out by our request and was just very rude about it like we were asking for her own personal table or something. Our server was friendly enough. The food was not great. My partner ordered the chopped salad. The chicken was cold, dry and tough and not seasoned. I had the grass fed burger ($20) which was served lukewarm and lacked any kind of seasoning. The mushrooms were so incredibly salty- like the salt shaker lid opened up onto their sautee pan. Kids ordered the air fried chicken which was over cooked and incredibly dry. Rainbow carrots were past their prime and could've used a peeler to at least make them look more appealing. Disappointed overall.

Alexa S.

Yelp
The restaurant is beautiful and open. When the weather is nice, they have an amazing patio section that faces the water. I ordered the Spaghetti Squash Casserole and added their tofu. The texture was amazing and there was so many layers of flavor. The Pesto Pasta had so much flavor and the vegetables in it were amazing. I added the chicken to it which was cooked nicely and went great with the pesto flavor.

Shashi B.

Yelp
Everyone in the family remembered the Flower Child restaurant in Travilah when we chose to go here for lunch. The menu is seasonal and is quite expansive. You need a burger you got it , need a pizza, I chose the spicy Penang Curry Bowl. It was quite filling and I didn't need to have taken the protein. I chose chicken which was $7 additional. The other dishes we ordered were the TFK Chicken Burger, Edamame Dumplings, butternut squash soup and roasted veggies. Ambience is very nice and the bar menu is good. They ran out of my choice of beer. Service was friendly but very casual. Had to get the attention of the wait person several times.

Marjan N.

Yelp
Very bad experience in this location today. Ordered coffee for my desert never got it and I was charged for it. Not enough bread on the side for an over price humus so we had to ask for more bread and for just a few little pieces extra charge and asked for check to be split between 2 but we were charged fully on each card and glad my friend noticed and we asked for a manager and managers seemed young and very unprofessional and told us the waiter has left and did not even apologized nicely. Just gave us his business card. Going to restaurants for over 30 years in the area at least twice a week this was one of the worst experiences. They were not even busy just a few tables were occupied. Do not suggest this location at all.

Christian S.

Yelp
Today we went for dinner to the True Food Kitchen. It started quite well, the waitress was great in taking quickly the order for the drinks, so we ordered within the happy hour. We also had the Buffalo Cauliflower which tasted nice. Unfortunately here it stopped then. We had two burgers that were ordered medium, but came well done and the Creamy Bucatini Pasta had no flavour. We even had to order salt and pepper to give it a little taste. The umami potatoes were not to our taste. I would have given maximum 2 stars for the food, but as the waitress was so attentive, I add another star. Will I come again? Probably not.

Dana C.

Yelp
The food at True Food Kitchen is quite good. The atmosphere is really light, airy, and open. The server we had was very nice; he didn't try to get us to leave even though we sat through lunch and for another hour or more. If I have a complaint it's that it is very overpriced. I'd go back but not frequently.

Wingyan L.

Yelp
After getting my blood drawn, I walked to True Food Kitchen to grab lunch. I started my meal with a zero proof cocktail - Blueberry 75. It was bubbly and tart. It tasted like apple cider vinegar. There was no actual blueberry taste to the mocktail other than fresh blueberries. After telling the server of my allergies and intolerance to spice, I ordered the Citrus Salmon Salad with a couple of modifications - no walnuts and parmesan instead of feta. The "salad" consisted of organic mixed greens, toasted almonds, grapefruit, and shaved parmesan topped with orange marmalade salmon. It wasn't really a salad in my opinion. They was a thin layer of greens underneath the salmon. I was glad that the citrus vinaigrette was on the side. Assuming it wasn't spicy, I poured it onto my "salad". It was so spicy, I had to ask for orange marmalade to balance out the flavors.

Simon C.

Yelp
Went there in fall 2024. Being a relatively new restaurant in RIO. I had very high expectations. I was disappointed by the quality and the food appearance. Taste was average, not so different from the casual fast dining.

Charlene E.

Yelp
I came here for the first time because my residence gave me a 20% off coupon so I wanted to use it. Upon arrival, the restaurant is well kept, well lit, clean, and inviting. The woman at the desk helped me choose a menu item and I ended up going with the Korean noodle bowl with salmon and asked for them to make it spicy. I had misplaced my coupon but she gave me the 20% off anyways which was nice and exhibited good customer service. The food was light, tasty, and guilt free. Will definitely be coming back.

Jill C.

Yelp
We had a great night at True Food. We came for light up night at the Rio and had a lovely view of the fireworks from our table. I had the grassfed burger which was cooked perfectly. My children ordered off of the kids menu and were very happy with their pizza and burger. I also had a Doctors Mule which hit the spot and was super yummy. I have been to this location previously and the service was slow however we were very pleased with the service this time around. It was very efficient and our server was excellent. I will certainly come back again.

Amy P.

Yelp
Had a great seat outside for happy hour. Nice selection for drinks and food; had a red wine, hummus dips, flatbread, and cauliflower apps - all yummy. Service was friendly and attentive without being smothering. Only reason I didn't give five stars was the HH prices didn't seem very happy hour-esque. Dinner menu looked fabulous with its clean, fresh offerings so I will definitely be going back for a meal.

Wailoon W.

Yelp
Our server Arianna was great and attentive to our needs as we have 2 kids with allergies. My entree tenderloin was good but only came with one little slice of mushroom and over Sautéed thin onion slices that was hard to chew. I was surprised that they don't have fries on the menu. This is our second time here and we love the atmosphere very kid friendly and lots to do outside the restaurant.

Jade M.

Yelp
Went here for a quick meal after shopping... however got sucked in by the great cocktails, Olympic volleyball tournament, & nice bartenders. The OG drop cocktail with ginger vodka was the best thing of the meal!!! Had Jason & brandon- As our bartenders- this is why I go to the bar- because you simply get the best service. Brandon was very thorough when we mentioned we had a peanut/treenut allergy & was reassuring everything with the kitchen. Kale Ceasar & Mediterranean veggie wrap was good. But really what kept us there was the personable conversation, good vibes that I could see they had with everyone & delightful cocktails I experienced. My boyfriend really appreciated the open kitchen (I am in the service industry & he loves watching Hell's Kitchen and food reality tv shows with me) so anytime we get to see that together in real time is fun. This is a good place but the service was great and I really enjoyed myself. We'll be coming back to see them sometime soon in the future! P.S. your kale Ceasar should come with more croutons... I'm here for a good time not a long time!!

Sophia L.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this restaurant because the service was super great and attentive. However the food itself was super plain and almost stale. I ordered the pasta with mushroom and it was creamy but lacked any real wow to it. My friend did order the poki and she did enjoy it. We did order the apple dessert and it was tasty but the ice cream was not tasty and had too much nutmeg almost. The ambiance can be impressive and the decor is welcoming and inviting. They have a lot of wine offerings and teas if you enjoy that. I will try to give them a second chance but I am not running there too soon.

Ngan D.

Yelp
Went here for a team retreat event and everything was really good. The place is conveniently located in Rio. Very spacious inside with plenty of seats. I requested for a private room which they provided. It was a nice room and can accommodate about 10 people comfortably. Staff was very nice as well. We came 10 minutes before opening but they were able to let us in. I ordered the spicy panang curry with chicken and it was so tasty. It wasn't spicy though. I didn't like the rainbow carrots too much since it was a bit hard but everything else was yummy. Everyone else in the party seemed to enjoy their food as well.

Antonio S.

Yelp
Febe served us very well, she was kind and was attentive to our table at all times. The food is 100% recommended and the place is very clean.

Paola L.

Yelp
True Food Kitchen has been on my list for awhile! Finally got to stop by today & I'll definitely be back. The ambiance inside is earthy and clean, more than half of the walls are window so even when you're inside it feels like you're outside - clean environment with a good amount of open space. I was a bit nervous about the edamame guac but it was very refreshing, had a slight crunch from the seeds. The chips were a great touch, pita texture but with a little extra seasoning. The turkey burger was DELICIOUS - the Gouda was melted to perfection and the turkey burger itself was savory. The jalapeño dressing really pulled it all together. Our waitress was kind too, she told us about the new summer menu and gave us her ideas of what to order too.

Andrea T.

Yelp
This large airy space has an industrial feel but the food was delicious and service was very attentive. Loads of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are all clearly noted on their menu. It was surprisingly uncrowded for a Friday night but that worked in our favor since we didn't have a reservation.

Abby S.

Yelp
I normally don't eat most of the foods True Food Kitchen has on their menu but thought I'd try it out since I've never been. The server did a great job at explaining what True Food Kitchen stands for and does. I got the summer tea, which was very refreshing and minty. My friend got the pink lemonade and it was too sweet. The inside dining room is modern, clean, and I like the high ceilings. Despite the amazing ambiance and prompt service, the food did not impress me which is why I've deducted two stars. Their chicken sandwich was two dry chicken tenders in panko between a small bun. The Mac n cheese lacked taste and I put 5x rounds of salt on it to make it taste better. My friend wasn't inspired by the Korean chicken sandwich either. And the umami potatoes tasted like they were doused in BBQ sauce. I like their mission and the restaurant interior is spacious and fun, but I'm not sure I'd return due to their menu options and lack of taste.

Anna W.

Yelp
My friends and I really enjoyed our experience here! We enjoyed our drinks and meals. There was a good variety of options for all of us, including my friend with both gluten and dairy allergies. Shout out to Brandon for the great recommendations and the exceptional service!

Gabriella C.

Yelp
At first when we walked in which was around 8 PM it took a couple minutes to be seated by the hostess, however the turnover for the food to arrive was quick! The server was polite and attentive, I ordered the teriyaki quinoa bowl with smoked tempeh and every bite outstanding, bursting with flavor, not too salty at all. Also, I dig the aesthetic of the restaurant especially at night with the lit candles on the wooden tables. Not to mention they have multiple individual bathrooms instead of a public one! We need a true food kitchen in Rockville please

Yelp
I had been wanting to come here for a while and when a friend and I were meeting up for lunch in RIO and I thought this was a perfect time to finally try it! I wasn't entirely impressed with the menu as it is pretty much a standard menu you see at all the "healthy options" type of restaurant. I did enjoy my meal. It was plenty tasteful, so for what they offer it is good! I ordered the Peruvian Grass-Fed Hamburger, which has a fried egg on top...along with the sweet potato hash. I also ordered the Sparkling Prickly Pear Tisane and it was a good thirst quencher. (I'd come here on a hot day just to order the drink to cool off). My friend order the Mediterranean Chicken Sandwich and the Adaptogenic Tulsi Tea. She recommends the Tulsi tea! We had a nice time dinning on our lunch sitting at their covered patio. It has a nice view of the Pond from some of the outside seating. Our server was sweet and efficient. The restaurant was clean with a modern cafe dinning type of set up. I will certainly come back for a quick healthy options while in RIO...
