"This burgeoning chain focuses on anti-inflammatory foods, and menu items can read a little eye-roll trendy (think poke bowls, quinoa burgers, and plenty of kale). The end result, though, is a mix of appealing, colorful dishes that won’t put diners into a food coma. Among the standouts: seasonal salads — there’s butternut squash and sprouts tossed with a sharp horseradish vinaigrette for the winter — cocktails spiked with refreshing juices, and charred cauliflower with tahini dressing. A good option for those with dietary restrictions. Pickup and delivery through the website." - Missy Frederick

We Visited for an early lunch on the weekend. It was mostly empty as the lunch crowd hadn’t come yet so it was quiet. We parked in a nearby garage as the farmers market closes one of the roads. Plenty of parking if you get there early enough. Service was fabulous and attentive. We ordered a turkey burger and poke bowl. Both were tasty and served at the right temperature. We enjoyed the food & service and would easily return again.

I always rely on True Food for its delicious yet healthy food options. We just had lunch there and loved the ambiance - the combination of wood tones and greenery created a relaxing and comfortable feel. The staff member who greeted us was welcoming and friendly, and our server provided attentive and speedy service. Our food arrived within minutes of placing our order. The food was exceptional, especially the edamame dumplings appetizer. They were perfectly seasoned with soy sauce, dashi, white truffle oil, and herbs. The True Blue Grass-Fed Burger was also a great choice. The Peruvian pepper sauce added a pleasant kick to the burger, while the caramelized onions provided a sweet contrast to the blue cheese. The Korean Noodle Bowl was similar to Japchae, made with sweet potato noodles and veggies. However, it had a subtle citrusy flavor with garlic. Our drinks, Kale Aid with Greek yogurt and Bright Eyes, were both healthy and delicious. Their vibrant colors made them a feast for the eyes. I'm looking forward to revisiting True Food soon to try some of their other tasty and healthy options.

First time in this part of Virginia and I must say the traffic is horrible. Stopped by with a huge headache, tired and hungry to grab a bite with my daughter and had the pleasure of meeting OLIVIA. This place is lucky to have such a wonderful waitress. Full of energy, respectful, happy, cheerful and ready to help with any questions you may have. She's very knowledgeable of the menu and helped me choose the most delicious meals. Everything is fresh, great portions, the teriyaki quinoa bowl is superb! The horchata matcha tea is outstanding and the lemon ginger tea is darn good. Congratulations to all the team of cooks and staff but specially to the best waitress Olivia . We had a great time! Will be back again for sure!!

Google
I had mixed feelings about this place. May return to try other dishes. The tuna tataki was lightly seared and tasted fresh. The presentation didn't appeal to me as the plate just had this big empty space. The kaleaide was OK for a 10$drink. I'll stick with water next time to upgrade to an alcoholic beverage. My server Matt was pretty attentive. The dining room was huge and clean. Enjoyed sitting near the open concept kitchen and observe its flow during pre-dinner rush.

This restaurant was super clean and the atmosphere was perfect for dining. The workers were super kind and patient, and the food tasted absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend it to anyone!

Great location in the middle of Mosaic. Friendly staff and quick service. Food is clean and many healthy options. A fun atmosphere inside with open kitchen and a great bar. There is outdoor dining which is great in the summer and enclosed during the winter. Make sure you get the charred cauliflower and tuna wraps. The edamame dumplings are also a unique app to try.

Pablo A.

Yelp
Amazing service and recommendations from Olivia. I had the perfectly spicy pineapple margarita and the Wild-Caught Tuna Lettuce Wraps spicy chili garlic sauce.

Yelp
Food was good. Went during happy hour, available Mon to Fri. Ends at 6 pm. Went inside on a whim. Drinks: rose sangria was sweet. Peach mojito was subtle on peach, very good. Ambiance: folks were there of all ages. Nice decor. Service was good. Happy hour: Buffalo cauliflower, grilled cheese dippers, cucumbers, tuna tostada. Rose sangria and 2 Peach mojitos: about $67 with tip.

Yelp
Honestly trying to understand the hype about this place... We got the turkey burger and potatoes, it was pretty good! It's the only reason I'm leaving 2 stars. The service was nonexistent. Our server was super nice and smiley but he was MIA the entire time. We also got the chicken ranch wrap and it SUCKED. It was soooo dry, like 2 week old cut up chicken. They forgot to put the avocado in it too and by the time we could get a waiter to tell him we were done with our meal (30 mins later). But honestly not even an avocado from god could have saved that wrap.

Yelp
Given this place a lot of chances and am finally done. Really mediocre food at high prices with slow service. Every time I have come here the servers seem scared to make requests of the kitchen. For instance, today we ordered the brunch tower, but the members of our party don't eat salmon, so we asked if we could sub out double avocado toast, which seems like a reasonable request from a place that claims to be vegetarian friendly. Server was doing his best but said the kitchen usually doesn't accommodate any substitutions. Not sure what kind of rule that is. They did wind up allowing us to sub the toast, but we've had problems with minor requests in the past as well. I have several food allergies, so this rubs me the wrong way. The brunch tower was good, but the extra pancakes and fried rice we ordered were not at all. The pancakes were extra grainy and bland, I think they were supposed to be gluten free but that doesn't have to taste bad. Drinks were okay but nothing special. My friend was also brought out the wrong coffee drink, and while the waiter quickly corrected the issue, we were charged for both the right and wrong drinks. Overall, I think True Foods is sadly skippable. For the money, I'd much rather go to Kirby Club or Bar Taco next door.

Yelp
True Food Kitchen is a great option if you are seeking a menu with a nice selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. For starters, we tried the edamame dumplings and charred cauliflower We really enjoyed both dishes. For main course, we ordered pizza, pasta, curry and poke bowls. They were all good but somehow they were not as impressive as the starters.

Katlyn H.

Yelp
This was definitely a cute spot to eat in Mosaic. Our waitress told us that they change their menu each season, which I thought was pretty cool. To drink I got the spicy pineapple margarita, it was strong but could have used a little more pineapple flavor. We then shared the tuna lettuce wraps. They were served deconstructed, I wished they had been put together already, we got too much of some of the ingredients and not enough of the other ingredients. Then we got the heritage pepperoni pizza, because the entire restaurant smelled like pizza as we walked in. The pizza was incredible. The sourdough bread added a fun different flavor to the pizza. I would definitely come back just for the pizza.

Aimee B.

Yelp
Not understanding why people love this place/food...it's okay but more nothing to get super excited about. Service was okay and the dining room is big and airy (ballston location dining room is slightly nicer) and the outdoor patio is fine. But to me this place is more fast casual with elevated prices.

Hung V.

Yelp
This establishment boasts a bustling atmosphere and excellent ambiance, conveniently situated in the Mosaic Center with ample nearby parking. Reservations are advised due to its popularity and busy dinner service. The happy hour menu, particularly the tacos, is outstanding, and the drink deals, like half-price wine bottles, are exceptional. The dinner menu offers a variety of healthy options. Our experience enjoying the food, drinks, and attentive service from the staff was delightful. Highly recommended!

Amanda H.

Yelp
Service was cordial and attentive. I wasn't a big fan of the pizza and the dressing on the salad was too sour for me and my companion but the fish was cooked perfectly. The cookie was also a good way to end the meal.

Ike N.

Yelp
The restaurant was just ok. I really wanted to like it because they have healthier food options, which apparently rotate depending on what's in season. But the seared tuna I got was VERY salty (which is honestly a rare complaint from me). Other than that the dish was well seasoned and had a good combination of flavors. The service wasn't really great either. Our server was initially helpful but after we were sat she was pretty inattentive. I expected better for the price. On a positive note the decor in the restaurant was pretty interesting!

Tiffi R.

Yelp
This is close to my home in the Mosaic District and a great place to get great tasty REAL clean food without all the fake additives. My favorite is the OG Burger and mushroom pizza. I've also had the teriyaki quinoa bowl and a few other dishes but this burger remains my fave!! The relaxed vibe of the place is also nice. I eat alone at the bar pretty often and have to admit it could use a good wiping down more often. Additionally, if it ain't broke don't fix it. All versions of the fingerling potatoes suck and are flavorless. I've tried them all. I'll be getting the kale salads from now on. I also really miss the mushroom and onion pizza. It was another one of my regulars.

Hiral D.

Yelp
Enjoyed my friend's birthday here. Ambiance and service was great. We got the tasting tower that came with soup, cranberry stuffing bites, cauliflower, brussels sprouts and pizza, a turkey burger, Korean bowl, dumplings, Moscow mule, a mocktatil, and the kids cookie dough ice cream for dessert. I enjoyed everything. Food was pretty good. Dumplings were probably my favorite. I felt the brussels sprouts were similar to what I could make at home and wasn't really a fan of the stuffing bites but overall enjoyed it all. The Korean bowl was good too. The Moscow mule was refreshing, definitely recommend. Overall loved the vibes and enjoyed the food.

Yelp
Solid 7/10. Our waitress was nice and also appeared to be bartending half the time. Props to her for taking care of us and the bar seaters. Haven't been here since 2019-ish and was surprised I waited this long to try their menu again (for some reason thought they were vegetarian). Was pleasantly surprised by the hummus, served with thin pita so it didn't feel like a heavy start. It was slightly more acidic than I'd want but still refreshing before our savory main courses. The meatloaf was good and accompanied by mushrooms / potatoes that complimented it well. The carrots could've been more tender, and the meatloaf itself I wish was juicier. But flavor was all there. ~$30 pp for appetizer and entree after tax and tip. Will come back to try their turkey burger and other apps.

Yelp
The ambiance of this restaurant was so cute! From the birch tree wall art to the"feel good" bicycle themed signage, it was super appealing. Immediately upon entering you could smell the sour dough pizzas, which for me was a big plus. My friend and I got drinks and shared the tuna lettuce wrap appetizer and the pepperoni sour dough pizza. The pizza was excellent - flavorful, good amount of toppings, perfectly cooked - would definitely order again. The lettuce wraps were deconstructed, which we weren't expecting. The pieces of lettuce were on the small side and broke a few times - we were able to ask for more. The servers were excellent and extremely friendly/accommodating. We paid $70 for two people, which I thought was a little high. But overall I would visit again!

Kianna H.

Yelp
I really liked the concept of this restaurant and enjoyed my meal. This is not a traditional American fare restaurant. This is a bit of an elevated twist on traditional foods. I personally had the lasagna bolognese and would order it again! I also enjoyed the mojito. The environment is great for families or even a casual date night. Our waiter made good recommendations, and I appreciate them accommodating our requested substitutions.

Alissa C.

Yelp
True food is a delicious spot with a fantastic outdoor seating area. Their seasonal Burrata was to die for. With someone who has multi dietary restrictive friends this is a one stop shop for yummy food and can span across restrictions.

Crystal L.

Yelp
Came here for lunch during the week and it was a nice experience. The restaurant is spacious and stylish. They have a big menu, since they serve organic and specially sourced food, the price range is on the higher end. Despite that, the burrito bowl and chocolate brownie were delicious! Service was fast, the server was informative about menu, it was a pleasant experience. Will recommend!

Teresa B.

Yelp
You know those burgers you see in fancy magazine ads where you know it's staged because it looks so perfect. Well my Turkey burger could have been a burger model in one of those magazines. It was juicy. The smokiness off the Gouda didn't over power the well seasoned chef made patty. The multi grain bun was soft and fresh. The potatoes were not laden in salt and grease. The portion size of my overall meal was delicious. What is not pictured was the picture of my husband's Hawaiian rice dish. That's where our experience fell short Had a bit of a burnt aftertaste. And the vegetables were not complementary to the idea I was surprised was such a vast landscape with so many chairs and tables that there were only two bathroom stalls. If you gotta go go. Hubby's only had one urinal and one toilet. Also, this is not 1984, let's have a QR code to scan to pay. Not only would it free up your staff to serve others, it would elevate the sense of "hijacking" until the transaction was complete feeling and eliminate identity theft. Not that the identity theft happened but it could. Would I come back ABSOLUTELY! Best Turkey burger I have ever had. And the service was VERY QUICK and professional.

Yelp
Great location in the heart of Mosaic. It's next to the garage for easy accessibility. Make sure to get the cauliflower, edamame dumplings and tuna tacos!! There are many clean items on the menu.

Nina R.

Yelp
Came here for dinner recently and we enjoyed ourselves. Sat outside on the patio since it was a nice summer evening. Appetizer: Had the Charred Cauliflower with bites of diced medjool date, dill, mint, and pistachio. Absolutely divine burst of warm flavors with a slight crunch. Just enough dill and mint to balance all the flavors. Entrées were the Spaghetti Squash Casserole and Kimchi Steak Fried Rice. They were both bursting with flavors that all really complimented each other well. I took a huge, huge risk with the Kelp Kimchi Steak Fried Rice and I was not disappointed. I asked for the kimchi on the side since I just wasn't sure what it was like and I asked for my egg firm, not wet. The rice was called forbidden rice...like a very dark brown or black sticky rice. Rice is rice in my opinion! I like them all. There were sauteed mushrooms, grilled asparagus, cilantro and edamame as well. This dish was so heavenly! I really enjoyed it! I had a bite from my friends spaghetti squash Casserole and it was super good. I had a seasonal cocktail, the Watermelon Mojito. It was refreshingly delish! My only pet peeve, they forgot to bring out our glasses of water. And it was kind of challenging to find someone to bring us glasses of water. We were thirsty and my dish was spicy!! That was the only hiccup. I just thought our waitresses timing was off just a little. I know it gets busy and all, but it was a weeknight and they weren't slammed. Other than that, it was an outstanding dining experience. Delicious, healthy food with bursting with flavor.

Yelp
What's great about True Food Kitchen: 1. Relatively healthy ingredients 2. Healthy (i.e. smaller) portion sizes 3. Decent variety 4. Takes reservations What's not so great about True Food Kitchen: 1. If you don't like sweet potatoes and peapods (let's be honest -- pretty cheap filler ingredients), that eliminates half the menu. 2. Some of the portions are quite small. 3. If you order any protein with your meal, it gets really pricey. 4. Insanely loud. You have to shout to talk. 5. Young, stressed servers too busy to pay attention to your table. 6. Reservations aren't honored for outside tables.

Anthony N.

Yelp
3/5. Decided to try this spot with a friend, this is probably one of the only places I haven't tried yet in Mosaic, so was excited to see what they had to offer. The Food: I went with the "Turkey Burger with Sweet Potato Fries". The burger tasted good. The turkey patty was tender and juicy, but was a little small. The fries that came with it was less than a serving and was quite disappointing. Portion sizes here were just off, for the price. The Service: Service was good, but could've been a little better. We sat outside to enjoy the nice summer day, but rarely got water refills/check ups. Other than that, food got back to us in a timely manner. The Atmosphere: Very spacious and plenty of seating. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. The place is decorated nicely and clean. Overall, a 3/5. Average food, good atmosphere, just pricey food. Probably wouldn't be my go-too.

Michael R.

Yelp
My wife brought home some edamame dumplings and they reheated perfectly! It was nicely flavored and was filling. I didn't experience the service or the ambiance but I was so pleased to have this dish shared with me!

Bertha B.

Yelp
Delicious food!! Definitely have to see if there is A True Food Kitchen in San Diego!!

Zaid Y.

Yelp
I've been to True Food Kitchen once before and the food was healthy and high in quality. It was the same this time around. Before we get to the food, the interior was spacious, funky, but hot. The service was good, as our waitperson answered all our questions well. Now in terms of food, for appetizer I ordered a seasonal burrata dish, which was excellent, but wish it had a little more bread. My main course was the burrito bowl, which reminded me of a healthier version of chipotle. Overall, I enjoyed my food and the quality of the ingredients, so I recommend trying here at least once, but I know it's not for everyone.

Monica M.

Yelp
Great tasting food! Healthy and a bit pricy for small-portion sized meals. I've never had edamame dumplings before! It was light, and delish with the cilantro and saucy sauce. I ordered the Poke Bowl and loved the limey-avocado shmear that it was paired with. I wish the pieces of fish were a bit bigger. I loved how spacious the restaurant was and the modernly "earthy" vibe that it gives off. There is an indoor enclosed patio that gives this place a bougie feel to it. Our server was great! She was very kind, knew the menu and attentive. I wish we knew about the QR code to pay for our meal - for 20 or so minutes, we waited unknowingly for the check and eventually figured out that we were able to pay using the QR code in the middle of our table! Overall, great food - though I was still hungry after I left. And PRO TIP **find the QR code at your table to pay for your bill!**

Madhu D.

Yelp
I love the vibe inside the restaurant as well as their outdoor seating. Every time I have been here, the service has been good, though they can sometimes get really overwhelmed and it takes time to get your order. The food is mediocre but I love the cocktails! Good spot for quick drinks as you explore Mosaic.

Terrilynn D.

Yelp
We were just visiting Mosaic, and had no idea where to go, but knew that they were plenty of restaurants and shops there. We ended up just randomly walking into True Food Kitchen, and we're very pleased that we did. The decor is very nature feeling and the staff was very friendly. Tyler was our waiter and he was attentive. We both ordered a burger and they were both delicious. Also a special cocktail for a late brunch beverage. If you're looking for some good food and a nice atmosphere, this is a good place to go. (My only critique would be that it's very loud... But then I have very sensitive hearing.) The point is: the food is delicious.

Olivia I.

Yelp
We had a really great experience at True Food. We had no issue snagging a reservation on a Friday night and were seated immediately. We were worried about making a movie and informed our server and he made sure we got our food in time and was quick to give us our checks and to-go bags when we needed to hurry out. My seasonal salad with fall vegetables and salmon was delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and the salad was filling and flavorful. The rest of my group enjoyed their food and drinks as well. True Food is a great option for those looking for an easy, healthy dinner in the Mosaic area.

Cassandra T.

Yelp
Fresh and seasonal menu. Items on menu with leaf are seasonal items. Decent flavor on chicken but a little dry. Delicious butternut squash soup - slightly sweet and savory. The iced black tea has a slight peach flavor (not sweetened but surprisingly yummy). A little industrial- I'm not right height for bench at table felt a little low. Decent service. Liked the vibe of restaurant and had a nice outdoor patio.

Christina S.

Yelp
This spot is a solid 3 star restaurant. Before arriving I was really excited to try TFK as I've heard great things about their food. Unfortunately, that's the only good thing I can mention about at this place. While the food was fresh and delicious, the service was absolutely awful. Upon arrival, we waited 5 minutes or so before the host and server in front of us greeted us at the door. We informed the host of our reservation and she informed us that her servers were just sat and can't handle being sat again so we should wait around 5 - 10 minutes. My friend and I, who both have worked in restaurants for years, look around at the 6-8 servers on the floor and multiple empty tables, then turned to one another and laughed. We already could tell what kind of service we were about to get. Around 8 minutes later we were sat, and around 10 minutes after that a server came over to greet us. Eventually, we were given waters and of course our food arrived before our drinks did. Now, I'm not sure how it takes longer to pour a glass of Sauvignon Blanc than it does to make tuna tartar but they sure know how to do it. Overall, yes they have a great menu and the food was very flavorful but it is not worth the wait. For an average of $60 a head, I'd rather go some place else. Don't waste your time.

Victoria N.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Customer Service: 5/5 Decor: 5/5 I specifically wanted to eat at True Food Kitchen because of their must have edamame dumpling appetizer and Kale Aid drink! I fell in love with the dumpling appetizer. It's flavorful, light, and healthy. The Kale drink was a fantastic picker-upper after a heavier meal I had earlier in the day. It was refreshing, a little bitter, and energizing. This is my go-to drink when I feel weighed down. Along with the light appetizer, I ordered a bowl with avocado, chicken, snap peas, beats, and sweet potatoes. There was pesto sauce on the side as well, if I had wanted to stir the bowl up. It was a large amount of food for one person. I ended up only eating 1/2 and packing the rest to go. The chicken costed extra money. It was a lovely addition of meat, but not quite necessary. It was a little on the dryer end. On the way out, the waiter saw that we didn't have bags for our food, he proceeded to run after ask to ask if we would like a bag! He went out of the way to make sure that we were comfortable and happy. Fantastic customer service. I'm definitely coming here again!

Addison B.

Yelp
Do not go here. Service was mid. Food was mid. Wayyy overhyped and overpriced. So many better options in mosaic.

Vina H.

Yelp
We went out to mosaic district yesterday for lunch. Never tried true food before and heard it was healthy and delicious so we decided to try it out with a friend. I was not too impressed with the food, it wasn't extraodinary but it wasn't bad either. - the atmosphere and space were pretty big so i love that. I love the options to sit inside and outside. We chose outside for people watching and view purposes. - Parking: we park at the garage close by but they also have street parking if you come early enough. - i ordered one of the most famous burger there which is puruvian burger, the presentation was amazing and if paid with sweet potato hash, it should be a perfect combination. The egg was running so makes the yolks perfect and burger have blue cheese and enough salad on top to compliments it. I was a bit dissappointed with the sauce as it doesn't taste much different than the hot sauce so i added ketchup with my burger for a little bit of taste. - My friend ordered the poke bowl and it comes with plenty of veggies and tuna. Again, presentation was perfect and she loves her food. She said it was sour at first taste but it tasted great. - I got the rose sangria and it doesn't taste much but a bit watered down. There's not much taste there and there's also strawberries and oranges slice there. - Service was great and quick. We love how fast the food came.

Yelp
They need more help at the bar on Saturday nights. Bartender was overwhelmed and wouldn't meet my eyes for 20 minutes. At least say hi, I see you, be with you as soon as I can. Or something.

Susan C.

Yelp
Random stop in this place. The bone broth was beyond excellent--omg I want the recipe. !!! The Mediterranean salad was amazing I don't live in the area but would come back here next time I visit 4 stars The bartenders are so good. We sat outside at the bar with windows. Everything about the visit was top notch Anyway Chef would share recipe of bone broth ?

Dona P.

Yelp
Excellent skinny margarita on their beautiful patio seating ! The best spot for healthy eating out while also having access to delicious flavors. Love the denotation of vegan gf vegetarian options and portion sizes are lovely. We had the quinoa bowl with veggies- a side of kale slaw - and two cocktails. It was all excellent and just a solid good for you choice. Great location too- and lovely staff members who are attentive and helpful!

Mike R.

Yelp
This is a phenomenal spot. There's a reason on Friday and Saturday, you will find getting a table challenging. It is delicious with consistent service. Each time I've gone here, have been pleasant experiences. Also want to say thank you for having DC Brau beer. That's a great beverage! What a fun and trendy restaurant this is. That's why it fits in so well with Mosaic. The sea bass, sandwiches, and curries are of high quality. I don't know how they made the cauliflower into what I thought was rice, but that is some impressive culinary magic. You will be happy to go here, and it's business casual. A good spot for a date, or sit outside in the bar area. It's always a joy to go here, and the employees and atmosphere are top notch.

Lindsay D.

Yelp
True Food Kitchen is a unique concept of from-scratch, healthy eating. Personally, this should be a common restaurant idea instead of a one-off, but, enough on that soap box. This location of True Food Kitchen is at the heart of the Mosaic District across from the Target and at the intersection of Strawberry Ln and District Ave. Easiest parking is in one of the parking decks nearby (Mosaic District Market Garage or behind Modern Mosaic apartments). True Food has their standard menu that's available year-round, but they also feature a seasonal menu for food and drinks. I enjoy trying this menu to enjoy the flavors of what's in season now. My favorite things have been their panang curry (regular menu) with no additional protein added (it's not needed!); any of their seasonal lemonades or prickly pear-infused drinks; and their seasonal salads... especially the fall/winter ones. My most recent salad their featured brussels sprouts, butternut squash, and pomegranate. I added steak to it, but again, like the curry, it was not needed. Perfect as is!

Shurenchimeg B.

Yelp
True food kitchen is one of the best spots in Mosaic district for sure! Love sitting in their patio The service is professional and efficient. Love that their menu offers lots of healthy dishes, my favorite being the Ancient Grains Bowl. My friend tried the Bison Burger and said he liked it as well

Antonia N.

Yelp
True Food has become a Mosaic District staple for me and my friends! I love their fresh, healthy food and drinks. I usually order the same thing bc it's too good to miss. Make sure to try the Ancient Grains bowl with Salmon. At under 700 calories- it's super delicious and filling! Piled high with a grain mix, glazed sweet potatoes, onions, portobellos, pesto and avocado. Love it! Don't miss their flowerless chocolate cake for dessert. Omg. I drool just thinking about it! Topped with ice cream and whipped cream - it's the perfect dessert to split (or eat all yourself! No judgment here).

Vivian R.

Yelp
I've been a True Food Kitchen fan for over a decade, based on their California locations. The Mosaic District location is true to the reputation: simply delicious food, feel good wholesome ingredients, and great options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets. With this winter's current uptick in kids' respiratory illnesses, I was happy to try out TFK's online ordering option for takeout. It was easy and allowed me to pre-schedule our pick up. The food was ready on time and the pick location was easily marked and didn't require me to have to wander through the entire restaurant. The bowls are always solid - my Ancient Grains bowl was perfectly seasoned and hearty, as was the Seasonal Salad bowl. Initially I was worried if my husband's Forbidden Poke bowl would fill him up as the portion looked a bit small, but he said it was delicious and deceptively filling. The kids' Teriyaki Chicken was also a hit. Everybody wins!

Iulia G.

Yelp
I was here on a Monday or Tuesday evening and it was pretty empty. I figured I won't take over a whole table by myself and just sit at the bar. There were 2 employees by the side bar register - both saw me and didn't even bother saying hello. When I was finally approached by someone, it was the friendly and smiling face of the bartender - I believe her name was Julie or Julia and she was great. I quickly perused the menu and decided on the smoked gouda turkey burger with sweet potato hash. I didn't care much for the bun, but the burger itself was tasty and plentiful. My only issue is that the menu said avocado but instead it tasted like avocado mesh/ paste and there was barely any of it. I wish restaurants would start labeling the ingredients correctly. As for the sweet potato hash - it was a bit undercooked for my liking, but the overall taste was yum. For dessert, I tried the seasonal pink like tart which got my attention because it lacked ube based. It was alright, but not my cup of tea. Overall, not a terrible nor great experience. Just somewhat meh.

Yelp
I've been and ordered from here many times, and it's really one of the best spots you can go to if you want to eat well and not feel bad about it. They have everything from grain bowls to pizza to curry to salads and more, and you can tell the ingredients are quality. Some items I really recommend are: - Edamame Dumplings - Teriyaki Quinoa Bowl - Chicken Sausage Pizza - Turkey Burger - Grass-fed burger - Spicy Panang Curry Bowl - Grilled Chicken & Mozzarella Panini All of their tables have QR codes now as well, so you can just order and pay through your phone. I like that addition a lot. Thanks True Food for being my go-to spot for healthy and nutritious eats!

Yelp
Loved my first experience here! I'm visiting from a small village, so the noisy hustle and bustle was distracting, but the energy was happy, so it wasn't bad. The service was impressive! Kiara was attentive, warm, friendly, and very helpful with her suggestions. Yay, Kiara! So many different people attended us, each with a cheerfulness that can't be faked. Our friends raved about the edamame dumplings. My daughter devoured the ancient grains bowl with salmon (and a dip of teriyaki). I had a light appetite, so the chicken noodle soup and a side of roasted squash was perfect. Both were really well prepared and defied food expectations from a chain restaurant. Def will eat here again when I'm in the US.

Yelp
A friend was visiting from out of town and this was the only place nearby that had covered outdoor seating during a rainstorm. There was a bit of a wait to be seated, but our server was extremely friendly. The food was pretty good, albiet a tad marked up. I enjoyed the QR-code menu because we were able to see pictures of menu items before we ordered. We ordered the corn soup, lasagna, spinach pizza, and a teriyaki bowl. The server brought out some ice cream with a candle when she learned we were celebrating a belated birthday and even took pictures for us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restauraunt for those that have special diets or would like to have a few healthier chouces.

Yelp
Wow I was super disappointed. Ordered the Penang Curry; friend had Kimchi Fried rice. Their black rice is dry; tofu cut into tiny morsels; sauce has zero flavor. I won't go again. Good service but food mediocre. Not worth taking pics.
