I am the first person to admit I don’t eat vegetables. I came to try a seasonal pizza I saw in the reviews but it was no longer available. I ended up ordering the ancient grain bowl + steak. Tbh I was thinking about what I would eat later bc I knew I wasn’t going to like my meal. To my surprise I loved it. All the ingredients brought their own layer of texture/ flavor to the dish and they all complimented each other so well! The sweet potatoes added a nice sweet flavor, the char grilled onions and peas added a nice crunchy texture to the dish. The pistachio pesto was semi acidic and packed with enough flavor to season the whole dish perfectly. I did add steak to my bowl (which was not needed) and it was over cooked and tough. Will definitely eat here again.

Great restaurant choice for ppl with restrictive diets and/or health conscious! So many choices and lots of vegan options. Wide open atmosphere with lots of natural lighting, decorated very nicely with greenery and floral accents. Service wasn’t the best, but I think our waitress was overwhelmed, seemed like she had a lot of tables. Lots of seating available and can accommodate large groups. The ancient grain bowl was a definite hit, would definitely recommend that. The edamame dumplings were okay. Glad to have restaurants like this in the city.

Google
I’m so tired of restaurants giving terrible quality Togo food. I placed an order tonight for 2 burgers; one vegan and the other was the American burger w/o cheese. My food was cold and looked disgusting. I opened the burger to see that cheese was placed on the burger but scraped off. And it was cold! I did not get 3rd party delivery. I called and they were pleasant on the phone and apologized, and offered to give an adjustment bc of their mess up. Instead of them refunding me for the meal (Burger and lettuce (listed as a small “salad”) (~$20)) or even just the burger portion; the adjustment was for $9 and some change stating I wasn’t satisfied w/ the burger. Of course I’m not, I COULD NOT EAT IT!!! I was able to scrape some of the cheese that was still on there off with my finger. So disgusting and disappointing!

We were walking down the street at like 8.40pm and walk past that restaurant, so we decided to go in for dinner but no one told us they’re closing at 9pm so we sat at our table and they were stressing us to order and acting little annoyed. After a few minutes the waiter finally said that they’re closing in a few minutes so we would have to order now. Which is totally understandable of course but they could have just told us earlier or in a nicer way. Then they didn’t had the things we wanted to order and when we ordered something else they told us if we can have it a little different so it’s faster to prepare. We said of course and after a few minutes we got a really small portion, that was a bummer since we were starving. It’s kinda expensive for that small portion which you get, taste was good though. While eating we noticed two little mice running around on the floor which was a shock for us…

Google
The food was bursting with flavor! You could definitely taste the ginger or hibiscus in the refreshers. The waitress told us they’ve that the manu was recently change . We had the hummus, guacamole, and salad - all absolutely delicious and healthy. I hope they keep expanding!

Google
Server was super accommodating when the dish I tried was overly salty and not pleasing at all, which was the Korean noodle dish. Switched out for the salmon market salad very $$. Overall, chic and mediocre food. Fruit files swarming me

Google
Great service. Clean nutrtious food. Outstanding cleanliness throughout. Jadore our was so accommodating of my allergies. Even a coconut vegan ice cream for my affogato.

Google
Rarely say this about a place, but our waitress was our favourite part of this restaurant. She was a real gem, and gave great suggestions for what to order. If the service was faster and they didn’t run out of the food we wanted every time, I’d give this a higher rating. If you have no evening plans, and you like eating healthy food, this place is for you.

Yelp
Great atmosphere/vibe! We had the guacamole appetizer. It was very unique but best I've ever had! Needed a few more chips though! He had the Bison pizza and he even ate the crust finishing up the guacamole. I had the Thai noodle bowl and it was amazing! A little spicy for me but probably just right. I'm just a baby. Great service. Great food! Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
First of all, gorgeous restaurant. We were wow-ing like we were "uncouth" and hadn't been anywhere in life. LOL. I ordered the creamy tomato soup, loaded fingerling potatoes, asparagus, and Hangover drink. The creamy tomato soup was definitely creamy with a beautiful tomato flavor. The tomato flavor was not overpowering. I really enjoyed this, though a smidge salty on the back end. The loaded fingerling potatoes were okay. I wish they added more of the toppings as some of the potatoes were very plain. The asparagus were plain with a bit of lemon sauce. That's it. I did not taste any salt, etc., but I am okay with these being basic. The Hangover drink was delicious. The pineapple and aloe vera really came through. I also tried a slice of the Spinach and Mushroom pizza. It was pretty dang good! I loved that burst of ricotta. Overall, I rate this restaurant a 4.5. I'd definitely go back, especially when I'm really cracking down on my diet when dining out.

Yelp
Maybe because I'm from another urban city with amazing vegan food but this vegan burger left me pretty unsatisfied. It was a little bland and pretty pricy! The kale salad was really tasty with a great dressing. The ambiance was nice and clean but The service was pretty slow, my waiter was training someone which might be the reason for the delay but they forgot my hot sauce for like 10-15 minutes despite me asking twice, and my sandwich got soggy in the meantime. I had their cold brew coffee which was really tasty and had a ton of cinnamon on top(see attached picture)

Yelp
I tried something different this time and it was amazing also. I had the edamame dumplings and ahi tuna bowl. Both were tasty. The bartender/service was pleasant and attentive. Always smiling and making sure I was ok. I also had dessert. It was a rough day and after eating so well, you don't feel guilty. The seating at the bar was a bit messy. I must have missed the after lunch rush and it appeared she was by herself she was playing catch up once I arrived. Overall it was a great experience! I know I'll be back again! Side note, the kitchen is always entertaining unknowingly. This unique setup places the kitchen staff very near to guests tables and seating areas so they must be mindful of what they say and how loud they're saying it. A few "F" bombs were tossed around .

Yelp
Wow! I wish we had one of these in the lake Charles/ Lafayette area! Everything tasted so fresh and delicious! And our server, Teddy, was awesome! The place looked amazing as well. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Bright and welcoming. Good location. Hostess was friendly place was empty service was a little slow. Food was ok probably would have been better if it was cooked right. I ordered a burger cooked rare it was well - I was hungry ate it anyway. Nice story behind the food. Bathroom was clean.

Yelp
I hadn't been to this place in years, but it's just as fantastic as I remembered! The food was delicious, and I decided to be adventurous and try the avocado margarita--it was definitely different, but worth a try. The honey bison pizza was absolutely amazing! The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was vibrant, spacious, and welcoming. I'll definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Amber T.

Yelp
The edamame potstickers were amazing! Highly recommend. The margarita pizza and hummus was also delicious!!! I don't normally eat at vegan restaurants but someone in our party wanted to eat here so I went for it. I would eat here again! The service was excellent and the ambiance was inviting and very open. Beautifully decorated. It was very cold, almost to the point of needing to go outside for breaks because I was shivering. Would recommend they turn the air up by 1-2 degrees.

Yelp
Easily one of my favorite lunch and brunch spots in the downtown area. True Food Kitchen consistently delivers fresh, amazing-tasting dishes. The aesthetic and vibe are fantastic, adding to the overall dining experience. Clean ingredients are particularly important to me, and True Food Kitchen never misses the mark in this regard. The spaghetti casserole is my all-time favorite lunch meal, and the OG Drop cocktail is incredibly refreshing and delicious. It's the perfect pick-me-up for a workday lunch or a delightful addition to a brunch outing. Definitely a must-try!

Yelp
Updated: we ordered delivery tonight. Huge shoutout to the takeout team that went the extra mile to mark the food that was NOT gluten free as well as clearly marking the food that was GF. Such an awesome touch to keep my celiac safe. This place rocks. Love TFK. It's one of the few safe places my celiac can eat. They get GF, the food is always good, and service is great. Try the flourless chocolate cake it was amazing. Also the meatloaf (not GF) was amazing.

Ryan B.

Yelp
Plenty of vegetarian options. Great quality food, nice atmosphere, and riendly service.

Yelp
True Food Kitchen is a beautiful elevated/casual spot no doubt. However, the price of a takeout salad was astronomical! I am a person willing to pay for quality food and ingredients, but $25 for the plate in this picture was steep! This was takeout. No delivery, service or tip was added to that price. I went and picked it up/ordered it directly from the restaurant mysef. I will say that the staff was very nice & chatted while I waited for my order at the takeout bar. I do however wish they had more attentive service at the door and more signs/clearly marked where and how to order.

Yelp
I've eaten True Food Kitchen several times as takeout and have been downright delighted by my food each of those times. So my expectations were high when I dined in a few weeks ago to celebrate a family member. There was a big group of us. We'd made a reservation a week before, but I was nervous that the service would not be accommodating. Thankfully, they were very kind to my family. The restaurant even comped my relative's meal- a gift they offered when another relative called to make the reservation. Our server seemed nervous and made some honest mistakes (double charged us, forgot some drinks) and some of the plates were over-salted even for our very New Orleans palates. Still, all of these snafus were remedied satisfactorily. It's hard to be upset when all the other staff are super kind. She was maybe new? The decor is open, airy, and green. The high ceilings are accented with faux greenery that somehow manages to be tasteful. I was transported back to some Playa Del Carmen, Mexico restaurants that have very similar tropical motifs. Here's a rundown of everything I either tasted or ordered so I remember what to order for next time: Tuna tostada 10/10 Charred cauliflower 10/10 Roasted corn soup 10/10 Ancient grains bowl with salmon 10/10 My salmon was cooked medium which is perfectly my preference. :) Chicken sausage pizza 10/10 Roasted Street corn 8/10 Kale salad 10/10 Pink key lime tart (forgot the name and what made it pink (beets maybe?), it was a seasonal dessert option) 10/10

Yelp
I was introduced to True Food Kitchen by a gluten-free friend, and have gone back several times since. It's a great place to go with a group of people with varied dietary restrictions/needs. They truly have something for everyone and their menu is extremely diverse, offering a burger next to Pad Thai! Everything is delicious and fresh. The few times I've been, service has been a bit slow, so that would be my only suggestion for improvement.

Yelp
What a great establishment. The server and kitchen staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us. My mom has a severe gluten allergy (celiacs disease) so she struggles with eating out and trusting that items won't be cross contaminated. The menu has lots of gluten free options. My mom make the server aware of her allergy when she ordered and the chef PERSONALLY brought it out to her just as she ordered on a separate plate and said "this is all gluten free, I can assure you." Just WOW! What a positive experience we had. Such an amazing chef to take the time out of his busy day to make just one customer feel safe about what they were about to put in their body. Ambience is so cute and food was yummy and HEALTHY! Which is so hard to find in New Orleans with all the fried food.

Yelp
I went to True food and decided I'd grab a drink while picking up my food order.. i decided i wanted to get a Margarita $15 for a half cup of ive because basically that's what it is

Yelp
Holy good food Batman! This was my first time here, though the people I was with had been here before, and it was amazing. It is such a cool place with a great ambiance. It's open and inviting, but the best thing is the food and service. I had the Korean Noodle bowl with Tofu and it was amazing! We had a question about some ingredients and the chef (Patrick B.) came out and answered all of our questions. He was SUPER nice and dealt with our vegetarian and gluten free issues. Abby was our server and she was awesome as well. We will be back
google avatar

Tiffany F.

Yelp
Stopped in for an afternoon snack and drink. The watermelon salad and edamame hummus were both delicious, and this place is really cute. I guess we came during a shift change. Our first server was great. We told the second server that we were about done, and then she ignored us for like twenty minutes. I had to flag her down to get the check. I would go back but during a regular meal time.

Yelp
Nice setup. True is VERY open and spacious inside. It's clean, modern and gives the ambiance of "fresh" everywhere you go. The vegan options weren't crazy but I was very happy with the butternut squash pizza. I can't and choose not to eat much in the ways of "vegan meats"and would always rather an unfried, plant based option if available. My husband had the burger, the vegan double "cheeseburger" which on MY taste was meh. I however really enjoyed my Butternut squash pizza. It was very flavorful, fresh, nice thin crust and the lemon garlic "cheese" was incredible. It was pricey but good food. I think the prices were high for the quality and portion but the food was good. Definitely a good choice for a healthy option in NOLA.

Yelp
There's such a cool vibe in this restaurant. I love the atmosphere. I tried this place because I had went to an art gallery earlier in the evening about a block away. I was walking back to my car when this place caught my eye. I tried their margarita pizza and it was excellent. I want to try many things here so I will definitely be back!

Dulcie H.

Yelp
The place was basically empty . Food was delivered in this order , my husband's entree first , then the appetizer, then my entree . . The app came without the ingredients listed and they delivered the dates separately later , my entree came too spicy to eat and there were no spicy ingredients listed and no little pepper signs . The manager said she hears that everyday from people . The manager also said they were super busy . She was very nice and took my food off the bill.
google avatar

Hannah H.

Yelp
The new athletic fauxjito is amazing and so is the blueberry sundae. The staff is super friendly. Overall great vibe.
google avatar

A B.

Yelp
In every experience, I have ordered ahead and my order is never ready at estimated time provided. This location is extremely slow even when they are not busy. In addition, I think all staff should wear gloves in the kitchen when plating and preparing either to-go orders or table orders.
google avatar

Thuy A.

Yelp
I recently stepped into True Food Kitchen, and boy was I in for a treat! The food was so fancy, I felt like a gourmet guru. The vibe was like a cozy hug from a friendly unicorn, and the place was cleaner than my grandma's prized china. True Food Kitchen is like a food magician, making sure everyone gets a taste of the good stuff. And let me tell you, the staff were like food fairies sprinkling service magic everywhere. If you want a dining experience that's out-of-this-world awesome, True Food Kitchen is your foodie fairy godmother!

Yelp
Came to true food because friends with dietary restrictions had recommended it to me. We were immediately greeted by the hostess upon arrival. I had made a reservation which was easy to do online as we were going to be on a time crunch and I wanted to make sure we were seated hopefully right away. The hostess was welcoming and had a classy look about her. The restaurant itself was clean, bright, and wonderful decoration. It felt pretty classy. We waited quite awhile for our server to come to us even though there was only 1 other couple in there at the time. The restaurant menu is clearly labeled for dietary needs : gluten free, vegan, vegetarian. I ordered a Mediterranean salad no cheese, some sweet potato hash, and a kale juice. My husband got lasagna and a beer. My food was really good. My.husband enjoyed his lasagna but it was very watery and a seemingly small portion for $20. Overall our bill was $75. Eek!!! I appreciated healthy fresh food while in the land of fried and unhealthy.... but just check prices b4 you come to make sure it's in your budget.

Yelp
Thank you Macee! Excellent service, and amazing food!! Big open space, airy and clean. The garden scramble was outstanding, avocado toast as well. The coffee though, wow. The best I've had so far! They only have oat milk, no problem for me! I'd recommend if you're looking for a farm to table type meal! Did not disappoint!!!

Yelp
This is a chain I often goto in other locations I came here just before it opened and waited to order something to go as I was flying back home that day. I ordered a simple Ancient Grains Bowl..... I wanted to bring good food to the airport to eat instead of the stuff they sell at the airport. I ordered and waited and sat down at the bar stool area and waited somebody asked me what I ordered told them....but still waited.... Finally, he looked at a bag that was sitting there for awhile and asked if that was me I said yeah! Seriously, I had to run back to my hotel with the a simple Ancient Grain Bowl because they had no clue to check why a bag was sitting by itself there! This was from the kitcen side as the lady who placed my order was not the server nor person handing out food to the others waiting to pickup for Uber Eats/DoorDash or whatever it was or just to go..... I can't say much else other than it was a bad experience to make me wait long knowing that I didn't have to!

Yelp
delish!!!! love it a little tart but it is made it house. 10/10 PINK LEMONADE definitely recommend

Yelp
I go to True Foods every time I visit New Orleans! The food and atmosphere is fabulous. My server the last time was Abby. She was very pleasant and had good recommendations of what to eat and drink! I completely recommend this place.
google avatar

Bobbye A.

Yelp
If you're in New Orleans and need a break from fried food, this is the place to go. The food is well balanced and delicious, the service is quick and friendly, and the restaurant itself is really bright and colorful. I had the Sonoran bowl. I didn't think I would enjoy the brown rice and quinoa as much as I did, but it was so tasty and comforting!
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
I often get takeout from True Foods and it is always delicious. I highly recommend the edamame dumplings as they are incredible. The kale salad is also delicious. They have lots of healthy and healthier options which is definitely appreciated when you need a break from the decadence of traditional New Orleans food.

Yelp
Arrived, it was really slow, there was no host around, i saw many tables and sat down. There was a menu to scan on the table so i proceeded and ordered. 20 min later a waiter came, surprised that i had ordered (ha?) and said i could have ordered with him. I told him that i assumed the menus to scan (and pay) were there for that reason (i did not tell him that by then i had already been there for 20plus minutes. The pizza was good, fresh crushed tomatoes and mozarella. The dough was woodfired. The size was completely sufficient however $15 for that pizza, i think was high. The drink was great (ginger /lime) Restaurant was clean, colors everywhere, i should have probably ordered ancient grains or something but i was lazy to look and hungry. I believe the true potential of this place is more about the good good than the pizza i chose. This location in particular is in the middle of nowhere.

Yelp
We just took a HUGE group -- 18 of us -- for a work party to True Food Kitchen, and it was an excellent experience. Connor, our waiter, was all over while we were there: serving, bartending, bussing, you name it, he did it. He was attentive and kind, respectful, and speedy. We all had excellent food, even the vegans and GF in our group. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Anoush N.

Yelp
Spare yourselves the generic food and the disrespectful service. Try the many wonderful options nearby instead. I came in for lunch with a group of fellows and mentors of a fellowship program for underrepresented students in AI. When everyone arrived it turned out that there were 16 guests. The reservation was for 10. The result? Despite there being *no one* in line to get in for the majority of our time at the restaurant, the servers and the manager they consulted with refused to seat and serve everyone. Eventually six of us, including myself, left. Some of our party were African, some women were wearing headscarves. Most spoke with accents. This is what happened when we asked to accommodate additional guests at our table: 1) First, True Food Kitchen staff said they had no more chairs (!?) This was strange: there 10+ vacant chairs at the multiple vacant tables right next to us at the time 2) Then True Food Kitchen staff they said they had no tables (!?) This too was strange: there was a whole room full of spare tables and chairs visible behind a curtain and the area where our table was set was right next to it...and we didn't even need an extra table...we could all fit at the table we had! 3) Then True Food Kitchen staff said they are just overwhelmed with having to serve more people than were on the reservation (!?) This seemed strange as well but some of our group offered to sit with the group without ordering if that was going to help ease the stress. 4) Then True Food Kitchen staff said they can allow 12 to remain at the table and need everyone else to get in line at the front door. This also was strange, and: unhelpful...by then a line had formed so 4 of us would have had to wait rather than spend time with the group. Do better, True Food Kitchen. Your racism and xenophobia are showing.

Yelp
This became my go-to spot for a healthy and wholesome meal. Have enjoyed everything I've ordered here and I like that no matter what time k come in there's always space at the bar and lovely bartenders. My favorite has been the salmon and butternut squash soup. I've also had the turkey burger and the kale salad that it came with was BOMB!! Can't wait to try more of their menu.
google avatar

Kelsey S.

Yelp
We have eaten at True Food locations across the country and this one is terrible. Barely cooked chicken, terrible service.
google avatar

Cynthia R.

Yelp
This was the worst food I have ever had at a True Food. The guacamole with edamame was over salted and lacked acid (almost inedible). The poke was as gray as a corpse. The old fish should never have been served as it would have surely made a patron sick. I sent it back and ordered something else. I heard people at another table say a food item was salty, so I know our table's experience was not unique. The server apologized, but the fact remains that our party went here for a clean, healthy meal. This True Food needs a refresher on food safety and a visit from corporate for quality control and adherence to the recipes. The best part of this restaurant was the art made out of Mardi Gras beads.

Megan A.

Yelp
Great environment and kind staff!! Food was all delicious and restaurant can accommodate many special diets with excellent quality. Kids loved the freshly made lemonade and everything they ordered off the kids menu. In fact my almost 10yr old won't stop talking about how much he loved his burger! My wife and I both enjoyed our brunch items as well. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Ray H.

Yelp
Disclaimer: we have eaten in TFK's other locations in Texas and Tennessee and loved them, so we arrived expecting a 5-star meal. We were NOT disappointed. Very attractive, comfortable space, with Connor as a totally comfortable, competent, and helpful server. We each had a 9 oz. carafe of wine, my wife had the O.G. grassfed cheeseburger with GF bun and I had the Forbidden Poke'. Both were prepared perfectly: a flavorful, delicious, clean final meal of our most recent N.O. trip. Tab before tip just under $100.

Yelp
My friend and I had the rare treat of having time to have lunch together yesterday afternoon, and we unanimously chose True Food. We had both eaten there multiple times, and the food and upbeat ambiance had never disappointed. Because of a convention being held nearby, the restaurant had a very large lunch crowd, but we hadn't made reservations and were willing to wait. To our pleasant surprise, the hostess, Avian, was able to seat us within 10 minutes of our arrival, and our server, Rachel, was at our table within minutes, ready to take our drink and appetizer orders. We started with one of our favorites, the edamame dumplings. But upon trying to decide on a light dish to share so late in day, Rachel recommended a dish neither of us had tried - the grilled chicken / mozzarella panini with he herb-roasted potatoes. Excellent recommendation! And, of course, I had to have a side of my fave, the kale-jicama slaw, which compliments any dish. Everything was so fresh and satisfying - thank you True Food kitchen and staff for creating such an enjoyable afternoon. We will most definitely be back!

Yelp
Fresh clean food. Variety in menu. Tasty food. Industrial modern open bright atmosphere. Happy staff. Friendly service. Excellent cocktails. Had three meals over the course of a day. Only complaint - only one toilet working in bathroom.

Elizabeth I.

Yelp
First off, ambience here is excellent. The color scheme and interior design match the vibe of the menu very well. Very nice clean bathrooms as well. Take the rest of this review with a grain of salt, as we did walk in as a large group. The restaurant was nearly empty toward the beginning of our experience, but picked up during. That being said, it did take about 20 minutes for my party's drinks to come out, followed by mine at the half hour mark. Our food took almost a full hour, and my panini arrived lukewarm. The chicken was a little on the dry side as well which did not help the situation. At an average of $35 a person tip included, I was a little disappointed by my experience at True Food Kitchen.

Nancy P.

Yelp
We tried to eat a healthy family dinner and instead were tortured with slow service, waiting over an hour to get our lazy overpriced dog food and even excuses from management. They said that everything was behind because of a 25 top table... If your kitchen cannot support large parties & regular customers you probably need to choose between the two. We love TFK BUT THIS ONE SUCKS! Don't waste your time or money honey.

Yelp
Huge windows help illuminate the charming, vibrant interior. I ordered the vegan burger, subbing in some melted Gouda. The homemade patties were delish and the jalapeño remoulade gave the sandwich a nice little kick. I enjoyed the sweet potato hash and kale salad sides (they'll let you have a half portion of each of you want to try both). Service was outstanding. Healthy and perfectly satisfying - TFK nailed it.

Yelp
5 stars for the food, 2 (maybe) for the service. Previous evenings it had been packed, so we made a reservation and then felt silly when we showed up and there was plenty of seating. Possibly because it was the last day of our conference and most people had already flown out of town. Service was slightly off from the beginning. We ordered our drinks and 2 of the 5 were completely different from what was ordered. Appetizers were quickly brought out. And then we waited, and waited, and waited for the entrees. Tables around us who came in after we did were already eating and we were still waiting. Definitely magnified by how exhausted we all were. While we waited, our water glasses weren't refilled, and we had to flag someone down to order more drinks. The food was delicious when it arrived, and we all enjoyed our orders. However, some of the second drinks that were ordered never arrived (thankfully they also weren't listed on the bill). Just overall odd service. The food on the other hand, was amazing. Really nice to have more fresh options after so much southern cooking. We split the edamame guacamole as a table, and it was such a fun combination of flavors--and not too spicy either despite the chili that was mentioned. The rose sangria was delicious--sweet and refreshing. I really enjoyed the seared sea bass, and the mushrooms and broccolini were delicious balances to the seasoning with the fish. Ambiance was lovely. Super cool inside with lots of greenery and plant life all over the place. Restrooms were clean. It was comfortable but still chic. All in all, the food completely saved this review. Hoping it was just a one off with our server. I've been to different True Food locations in the past and had much better service so I'm hoping this isn't a sign of the future and just a fluke.

Yelp
Very welcoming and chill vibe. I visited at about noon on a weekday. Enjoyed the trendy and new looking colorful aesthetic. I had the peach lemonade which was amazing. The food is very fresh and many options are healthy in nature. I had the grilled shrimp with roasted veggies and they were really good. It was fairly busy around this time but I didnt wait longer than 5 minutes to be seated. Def worth a visit for something fresh, tasty, and notnot crazy heavy. Good place just to vibe during your lunch hour or with a pal during the day.

Yelp
New Orleans (well, all of Louisiana) is a food lover's heaven, but so many do love our food to be fried on rich breads or linger on your pallet sauces with beds of delicious local rice. My group was happy to find True Food Kitchen to start our day with a healthy meal, filling us all up. While I do try to avoid chain restaurants in a city filled with local places galore, this was much needed dose of fresh veggies. Also, so many gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options to select from, it opens their menu up to so many more people. I started with the strawberry margarita, a light and refreshing drink without a punch of liquor ruining it. For my brunch meal, I ordered a breakfast scramble with a couple of pieces of chicken sausage for some extra protein. There was a beautiful mix of sweet potatoes, spinach, cheese, fluffy eggs, and mushrooms. It was perfectly seasoned so you tasted each of the ingredients without being overwhelmed with too much salt or seasoning. Service was friendly, and everyone was quick to smile or lend a suggestion. We left feeling very satisfied without being weighed down. Additionally, the ambiance was a much needed oasis in this humid New Orleans heat - light, airy, and as refreshing as the food. I'll certainly remember this place for future visits when needing a lighter and fresher meal.

Yelp
There's not a whole lot of healthy food options in New Orleans. I eat pretty healthy most days but that also means I usually have to cook my own food. True Food is a great option for me when I want to eat healthy but don't want to cook. It's also delicious! So for my starter I decided on the edamame dumplings. I chose something that was different from anything I would normally order and it was good. There was a cheese like filling inside the dumpling that was sooo good. My only complaint is that over half of the dumplings didn't have the filling. It's definitely a dish I would get again. For my entree I got the lasagna. Whew! It was wayyyyyyyy better than I expected. It was so delicious. I didn't expect this much flavor from a health-conscious restaurant. My bad for underestimating y'all lol. I also had the wild blackberry limeade. That was also really good. Overall this was a good experience.

Yelp
I recently came in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by how great our experience was. My favorite thing on the menu was the edamame dumplings. I also ordered a margarita which was very enjoyable. Our bartender Akasha was attentive and helpful. The whole experience was enjoyable and I will definitely be coming back.
