The truffles are fine. Honestly, almost everything that gets called a "truffle" nowadays, which is often just a fancy chocolate, falls flat to me. If you've ever had a really good truffle, you know what I mean. But this place is still above average for that sort of thing. It does not stand up to The Chocolate Bar in Boise, which has been my gold standard for years, preferring them to much more expensive places in Seattle and Portland.
Where this place really shines is the ice-cream. The ice-cream is the real star here, by far. This ice-cream is right up there with Salt & Straw, better even. Probably right up there with the real old-school places in New York. I can't say enough good about it. The quality is top-notch. Very few if any imperfections. And the lemon blueberry flavor is just...wow.
Lastly, the local art selection is much better than one would expect from this area. Very good stuff, and makes a much more heartfelt gift than the same old Sino junk from Target or WalMart.
P.S. Oopsies, I accidentally hit "no tip" instead of "custom tip" on their register last time I was in, and felt bad because I didn't bring cash either, and the lady was super helpful, really the service is fantastic every time I go in.
P.P.S. My only complaint is that sometimes they give you a bag covered in glitter, not something I want around my food, also there is the environmental aspects of glitter to consider.
