Truffles, Etc.

I hesitate to write this one because I like that this place is quiet and mellow, but delicious chocolates, decent coffee, Gelato, and lots of locally sourced items such as diaries, book marks, earrings, and lots of other knickknacks. I just did a lousy job of describing the knickknacks, but the photos will bail us out.

This place is AMAZING! It's cute, quaint, and always has top-notch customer service. Hands down, they have the best ice cream in all of Idaho! It is super creamy, packed with delicious mix-ins, and thick like a Blizzard. You can really taste the difference with their house-made ice cream, so fresh and high-quality. My favorite ice cream by far is the mud pie, but anything you try will be fantastic. They also have coffee which is pretty good! The seating area is cozy, and I love browsing all the adorable little items they have for sale. I truly can't rate this place highly enough!

Great place for a delicious sweet bite! They have various truffles and chocolate. Delicious ice cream flavors, try the honey vanilla!

This little shop is amazing! They have so much to see, we went in to get ice cream. Which was delicious but we ended up come out of there with so much more, I got a hat, my kids got a soap set and natural bug repellent and more. Stop by if you are around the area.

Such a gem in downtown Meridian! We're so fortunate to have this fabulous little place that offers so much variety. The gourmet chocolates are smooth, creamy, and delicious! The staff are super kind and attentive. Great atmosphere, we love visiting this shop!

Lovely shop with many fun gifts- plus chocolate AND ice cream! Some of the chocolates are so pretty, it's hard to believe they are edible! Idaho roots store that supports other Idaho roots.

This is just the cutest ice cream, chocolate and all things Idaho shop. Walked in for ice cream, walked out with new earrings and watch bands. Taking husband for coffee Saturday. Locally owned is my favorite way to shop.

Found this place while searching out the best local Chai tea and instead found absolutely delicious homemade ice cream and chocolate. They do have the chai tea but instead opted for a scoop of the chocolate brownie and the vegan chocolate homemade ice cream and a homemade chocolate truffle.....Yum!!! As an added bonus, they have the perfect little gift created by local artists. What a treasure!!!

So many delicious types of truffles. We tried at least five. My iced mocha was really delicious. Come in and check out all the handicrafts from various vendors!

Super tasty home made ice cream. Lots of interesting flavors and my key lime was excellent. Met one of the owners and she is passionate about her products. Beautifully decorated you can hand crafted items here as well. Lots of chocolates to choose from also handmade. Would highly recommend!

This might be my new favorite ice cream shop. The chocolate brownie ice cream was amazing and we also got some chocolate covered cinnamon bears that were delicious. My wife got a scoop of toffee and a scoop of Junior mint and loved them both. We can't wait to go back and try their hot chocolate and some truffles.

Hidden little gem. Such a cute ice cream shop. They have a lot of cute local vendor items and super reasons prices. The ice cream choices are great and the chocolate ones even better. The variety was great. We got the 2 scoop waffle cone with cookies and cream & strawberry...10/10. Waffle cone was perfection. We also got the 4 pack chocolate with the following flavors: milk habanero, regular milk chocolate, honey truffle and milk chocolate with orange. Wow wow wowwwww to all of them. Finally my husband got a Affogato with honey vanilla ice cream. Blown away on how outstanding the flavors were. Please get this. Thank us later. He had one to drink there and took another one for the road. *ice cream is made by the husband/owner and chocolates are made by the wife/owner of the store *they have a punch card reward system so get one *convenient parking and bathroom inside *they have high tables and regular tables and chairs...along with board games to enjoy your ice cream, chocolates or coffee while you play.

This place is truly a hidden gem! Super fun local place to go get ice cream or if you're looking for a gift with local flair this is an excellent place to find a gift! We ended up getting the raspberry ice cream and a scoop of nondairy coconut ice cream. The waffle cone was crispy and delicious and the ice cream was fruitful and flavorful and delicious! Since it was 108 outside we opted to sit inside and eat our ice cream. Therefore we didn't leave without purchasing a few local art items! We love supporting local and will definitely be back!

I love truffles etc! I actually learned about this shop through a Yelp event and I am so glad I did! I have returned quite a few times for delicious truffles and even cute home decor items. My favorite truffles are the s'mores, whiskey and peanut butter. I love the bourbon pecan ice cream. It's just a great place to grab a treat and some unique local handmade items for gifts or for yourself.

These ice cream is so good, I had the bourbon walnut and it was wow! You can taste the bourbon the sea salt it was so well blended. My neice had the cookies and cream so good. My daughter had the amber candy and she liked it not much the candy but the rest was good. This ice cream was the perfect thing for this Hot day..I need to bring my husband to try some ice cream. Such a cute shop they have so many little things to buy great ideas for gifts .

I just learned of this spot few weeks ago, and found out it's been here for 3 years! Awesome little family owned dessert spot that specializes in ice cream and truffles. Located off Main St in Meridian, I highly recommend coming here to wrap up your night for coffee, ice cream, or a truffle for the ride home. They also have local crafts and clothing for sale that feature ID logos. Great customer service and friendly staff.

Amazing chocolates! This hidden gem is in downtown Meridian, I went in for a coffee and found the most amazing selection of chocolates, all house made, each one more mouthwatering than the other. I tried orange dark chocolate and caramel marshmallow milk chocolate with a hot latte, amazing! You must try it!

Yesterday I had one of the most delightful experiences when I walked into Truffles etc. I was greeted with a warm and friendly smile from Annika, the lovely attendant. She was not only helpful, but also very personable and someone who really enjoyed her job. I had the Happy Hour special: 'out of this world' ice cream, a very nice coffee and some truffles to go! Probably one of the BEST ice creams I've ever had (cowboy cake and giant cookie ?) wonderful little chocolate and coffee shop: clean, tidy with awesome service ... It was A GREAT DAY

Such a great local business in DT Meridian. Came here during triple digits hoping to cool off with some ice cream. Two youngsters working behind the counter today, very friendly. Great service. Tried a few samples of ice cream, decided on my old stand by, raspberry. Delicious waffle cone, delicious ice cream, just tasted so fresh. Quaint, clean shop. I got a few sea salt caramels, as I had been gifted some before. So decadent. If you are dining nearby, maybe at Deja Brew or 830 common, you must stop by for at least a piece of chocolate or a scoop! You. will. Not. Be. Disappointed.

Wonderful, little local shop in downtown Meridian. Found it last year and got coffee and chocolates. Since that visit, they changed the space - utilizing it for sit down tables, instead of the artsy items they sell. Local artist wears are now along the wall and I love checking them out. Besides the chocolates in the case, truffles are available in gift boxes . . . and they are beautiful! So glad I saw them, as I've been looking for gifts for out-of-state friends and relatives. Their ice cream is so rich and has intense flavors, especially strawberry. The downtown area is slowly growing and I hope this shop continues to grow with it.

Truffles Etc. On 7/31/21, I visited Truffles Etc. In Meridian. It is a cute store, full of local art, that sells handmade Truffles and ice cream. I didn't buy anything but I tried 4 ice cream samples: Honey Vanilla, Bourbon Pecan, Cherry Cordial and Jan's Delight. They were good. One of my friends ordered a scoop of Jan's Delight ice cream, which is cardamom and marzipan soaked cake. She enjoyed it but thought the cardamom was a bit strong. Then she got a bite of the marzipan and thought that was a little strong too. All I could taste in my sample was the cardamom. My other friend bought a caramel. She thought it was a bit stale due to the texture of the caramel. I intend to go back at some point and try a scoop of ice cream. The reason I didn't get a scoop then it's because I couldn't find a flavor that I liked well enough and they don't do scoops of two different flavors.

This adorable little shop is a must try whenever you're downtown Meridian. The coffee is to die for. And the affogato....good lord. They have a Texas Sheet Cake ice cream in the summer and with espresso over the top, it is the ultimate caffeinated dessert. Did I mention there are truffles? And amazing truffles at that? I highly recommend literally every flavor. Each one is made in house, just like the ice cream, and pairs perfectly with any cup of coffee. I can't espresso (HA!) enough how great this place is, and especially after dinner.

YES! YES! YES! Alright, first of all...I'm not much of a chocolate person. I'm not a huge fan of any dessert, but chocolates especially tend to hurt my teeth. I know, I'm lame. But... I love to give away chocolates and I always fill my husband's and children's stockings with handmade candies found local in the Treasure Valley. I usually have to drive downtown or to one of the bazaars to find these treasures. But not this year! Truffles Inc has opened up a brick and mortar in downtown Meridian and it is perfect. Stunning truffles fill the glass case, pre-packaged gift boxes are carefully laid out to fit each person in your life (vodka, wine and beer chocolate are all options!), and incredible house made ice cream and hot espresso drinks are also available. When I went in mid November 2020, they had super cute local crafts available for purchase as well. I was also able to take care of the gift for my Mother in Law and a convalescing friend. I will also be ordering some custom hot chocolate bombs for our Christmas Tree cutting tradition. I spoke with the young lady behind the counter for quite a bit. She's the daughter of the owners - mom makes the truffles and dad makes the ice cream. Also brother makes the ceramic plant pots available for purchase. A true family-run business. Let's support this beautiful store and stock up on all the holiday treats!

Absolutely not to be missed. Their truffles are unique, absolutely gorgeous, and a delightful treat. The coffee is excellent and their customer service is always warm and welcoming. Although to be honest, I go to this place for the ice cream! Their rotating menu of flavors are always creative and truly delicious.

Such delicious chocolates and even have a dairy free ice cream that my husband said was the best he's had in the city. Delicious chai and so many wonderful handmade local goods in their gift shop

The truffles are fine. Honestly, almost everything that gets called a "truffle" nowadays, which is often just a fancy chocolate, falls flat to me. If you've ever had a really good truffle, you know what I mean. But this place is still above average for that sort of thing. It does not stand up to The Chocolate Bar in Boise, which has been my gold standard for years, preferring them to much more expensive places in Seattle and Portland. Where this place really shines is the ice-cream. The ice-cream is the real star here, by far. This ice-cream is right up there with Salt & Straw, better even. Probably right up there with the real old-school places in New York. I can't say enough good about it. The quality is top-notch. Very few if any imperfections. And the lemon blueberry flavor is just...wow. Lastly, the local art selection is much better than one would expect from this area. Very good stuff, and makes a much more heartfelt gift than the same old Sino junk from Target or WalMart. P.S. Oopsies, I accidentally hit "no tip" instead of "custom tip" on their register last time I was in, and felt bad because I didn't bring cash either, and the lady was super helpful, really the service is fantastic every time I go in. P.P.S. My only complaint is that sometimes they give you a bag covered in glitter, not something I want around my food, also there is the environmental aspects of glitter to consider.

This is a bit of an overdue review, but let's just say Truffles etc does not disappoint. I happened upon this shop as I got sushi from Sushi Shack across the street. This area is filled with little shops that were so adorable, I had to wander around to see what was in the neighborhood. It was during this little exploratory trip that I found Truffles etc. Truffles etc not only has such friendly staff, they also had a delightful amount of chocolates, ice cream, and caffeinated drinks to choose from. I chose an Early grey truffle and a lavender truffle. My lavender truffle also has pieces of lavender on top to accentuate the flavor. Each of their displayed chocolates were beautiful and unique. There were so many things to look at, it's definitely a place to visit more than once. Additionally, they have board games to play while you enjoy some of their snacks. Truffles etc is definitely worth the visit!

Wow!! This place has some of the best truffles I have ever had! We popped in this afternoon and bought a few to try and the peanut butter truffle was phenomenal. My daughter, who isn't a big sweets girl, loved it and wanted more! I plan on going back soon to try the coffee :) also the girl working there was super welcoming and friendly!

Love their chocolate!! So good. Huckleberry truffles are my fav. They also got some Idaho local artists earrings and gifts. Love this place.

So delicious! A waft of chocolate and sugar hit you as you enter this sweet little shop of tastiness! The ice cream is like a dream and the portions are generous. THe staff is as sweet as the chocolates on display and the local art displayed for decor (and sale!) only adds the cute vibe they have going on in here! Can't get enough of the ice cream! Keep taking out of town guests here to sweeten their palettes! And the 3 vegan/non dairy ice cream choices they offer may rotate but are always on point! Yummy, yummy, yummy!

Don't go to Truffles if you have ANY dietary restrictions and you want to taste any sugar free chocolates, no nope, not for you!! They may have a packaged sugar free chocolates but NOTHING ELSE!! Now if you can eat as much sugar as possible, no problem, that's the place for you, with a diverse variety of chocolates in beautiful displays. When asking why they did not have any sugar free merchandise displays the word "cross contamination" came up again, plus how the sugar free candies and chocolates taste was not as good (than make it delicious) Maybe just maybe management should educate and train themselves and their employees on sugar free candies, truffles and chocolates for all clients suffering from dietary restriction and not make us feel discriminated!!

Just had the peppermint bark ice cream and it was out of this world!!! Hope they decide to carry it year-round. The hot chocolate, chocolate bombs were a hit. Hope they keep them around all winter.

Wow, this little hidden shop is so Awesome!! I had a small Peanut Butter Choc. Dairy free made from Coconut milk Ice cream cone, OMG!! it was the best tasting treat ever!! going back, the Ice Cream and Candy are all handmade, everything looks amazing. The little shop is just around the corner from Deja Brew.

All I can say is Wow! This is the best ice cream place in the Valley! The owners were the sweetest! Plus they have super delish truffles! My new favorite treat place! So excited to come back for more!
