Truluck's Ocean's Finest Seafood and Crab

Food was out of this freaking world. Crab cakes, lobster bisque, salmon, and seabass was TERRIFIC! My fiance loved her blueberry margarita and raved about its deliciousness! The crab cakes were soft and delicious, the bisque was hands down the best thing I’ve ever had in Miami, and the salmon was just utterly amazing. Our desert was also fantastic, as it served as a good way to end our meal. Service was good, but not phenomenal. Some long waits in between ordering food and getting drinks, but our waiter Antonio made up for it by his terrific hospitality and customer service. Overall, I’d recommend this place if you love delicious food for a good price. Ambiance was also pretty and pleasant!

What a great Birthday experience , once an again. Glad to see Jason, the Manager was there just like last year and great. My server Ramon was exceptional. Superb service , knew all the items. , outstanding is an understatement .. the food was magnificent.. the broiled salmon perfect and potatoes. Wow. Now for my bday dessert flawless and the wine. The scallops had a concerning chemical taste. The filet mignon was great. The chocolate cake was dry. So overall the food was hit or miss. The valet was terrible! I paid and tipped them and then they took 20 minutes to bring the car and asked if I could sit at the bus stop bench to wait. Then asked everyone waiting to walk to the entrance of the garage to get the cars. For that I would’ve parked in the garage myself.

We had a great experience at Truluck’s in Brickell. Opting to sit at the bar, we were immediately impressed by the attentive and knowledgeable bartender, who provided excellent service throughout the night. For food, we ordered the Caesar salad, the NY strip, and the miso sea bass. Every dish was perfectly executed—the salad was crisp and flavorful, the steak cooked just right, and the sea bass was beautifully tender with a delicious miso glaze. One of the highlights of the night was the live music on Wednesday, which created a lively yet upscale atmosphere. The combination of great food, top-notch service, and a fantastic ambiance makes Truluck’s a spot we’d definitely return to. Highly recommend!

The food here was delicious! The cocktails are yummy, the food comes in a timely fashion, and the ambiance is candlelit and romantic. The food was delicious; I love the branzino. Our waiter was very friendly and their recommendations were all spot on!

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and the staff at Truluck's made it a very memorable evening. I cannot say enough how great our waiter and the rest of the staff was and the food was absolutely amazing. One of the best restaurants we've ever been to. when we arrived, they had a card and rose petals on the table for us. The waiter was exceptional and explained everything very well. We both had the lobster bisque which was so savory you wanted to lick the bowl. I had the Filet Mignoon flight, all 3 steaks were cooked and seasoned to perfection, there is no way I could choose just 1. My wife had the lamb chop which she absolutely loved and said was one of the best she's ever had. We had steamed spinach and my favorite, Au Gratin potato's as side. As a surprise for desert, the restaurant gave us a baked Alaska which I'm generally not a fan of but they put something magical in it and both my wife and I loved it. They have a good wine selection and the Old Fashioned was very good. I can't say enough how amazing this restaurant and the staff were. We will definitely be returning.

Where do I being?! I arrived... and went inside and it was something to remember. If white women are dancing like they don't care that's where I wanna be! The ambiance, music, service and food is near God Level! Again the service, the service, the ser-vice!! Possibly the best ever here in Brickell. I dined outside and the weather was perfect to add. The sweet & spicy grouper will change your life. I paired it with a chardonnay. I'll be back to add more to this amazing place.

If you are looking for a true fine dining experience in South Florida this is a must visit. From the tasty cocktails and fresh cracked stone crabs to the lamb chops and red snapper everything was DELICIOUS! The atmosphere is great and they even have lighted menus so need to turn on your cell phone flashlight. 😀 The service was superb and attentive without being overbearing.

Back with an update! Service was great and food was delicious per usual. They had a small remodel, looks great inside and more modern without the white table cloths. I really enjoyed my branzino and the lobster tails my brother ordered were also very tasty. I have to say though, I miss the crab tower!! I noticed it gone last time too but still hoping it'll make a come back again. See you next week again Truluck's :)

Another great experience at Trulucks. We went for my husband's birthday. Our server was very attentive and we all had a great time. I cannot stress enough how awesome the food is, everything we tried was delicious. Decor is chic without being ostentatious and the noise level is low enough that you can converse with your party. A must go.

Came here with some friends/colleagues as a few of them have been here several times and in other states. They bragged how amazing the food is and that they have not been disappointed. Make sure you make reservations, though! Came in and you can definitely tell us a pretty bougie restaurant. However, the people working there were so warm and welcoming. They had live music which was icing on the cake. I first started off with the salt and pepper calamari. And I have to tell you this is one of the top 3 places that I had calamari yet. I then had the scallops and risotto. And yum! Finally for dessert, I had the chocolate cake and that just completed my meal. Will come here again. I'm sure it was a bit privy, but my amazing friend treated us!

We had a dinner here for my friend's 30th birthday a few weeks ago and had a wonderful time. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed my filet, I asked for medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. A few of the people at my table who preferred their filet more done said theirs were under cooked. We shared a few sides, my favorite being the Parmesan mashed potatoes. Baked Alaska for dessert was a great finisher. A few of us had a feature cocktail that had vodka, aperol, and raspberry that was really good. I also enjoyed their espresso martini. Their wine list had some reasonably priced bottles as well as some pricier options.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Truluck's evening. The food was exquisite, absolutely the service was top tier. I would highly recommend this if you want a nice dinner out with family, friends, or business contacts. I really loved the add of the pontchartain topping to my grouper, and I loved the spice and flavors added. Plus, ending the meal with Baked Alaska was perfect.

We absolutely love Truluck's! We had an amazing time at the Naples location so had to try this one too. They are the best for special occasions! We came for NYE and our anniversary. They had fun hats, tiaras and other NYE decorations, and for our anniversary, they had rose petals on the table, a free baked Alaska dessert that was delicious, and a half bottle of Gloria Ferrer champagne to take home. They really know how to make a celebration special! As for the food, the lobster scampi was the star - the pasta was perfection. Another highlight was the crab cake - just as amazing as we remembered it in Naples. We also got the Chilean seabass over crab fried rice, jumbo stone crab claws, a Sonoma greens salad (which they kindly divided into two plates for us), and their tasty carrot cake (the petite portion is more than enough - it's a large slice good to share between two), all of which were good as well. The wine list was also impressive and we appreciated that there was live music (a singing pianist) and menus that lit up in the dark so you could actually read them. The ambiance was perfect, as was the food and service. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend esp if you are celebrating a special occasion!

Dining at Trulucks's was like the perfect online dating scenario - his profile was intriguing, his pictures were beautiful, and it was all so perfect that you worried it might be too good to be true... Then you meet IRL and it's even better than you'd imagined! That is what dining here is like We were celebrating a birthday, and from the moment we walked in were greeted with warm welcome. Our table was decorated with celebratory confetti and a handwritten card that had been signed by the entire staff. The menus light up, which led to some opportune "we are old" jokes, and it all set the tone for a wonderful evening. THE FOOD THO. Holy crap, every bite was unreal. We started with the Voila cocktail, whose smoking bubbles make it as much art as it is beverage! The calamari was spicy and elegant and perfectly cooked. The crab stuffed lobster tails were succulent and rich - the lobster sherry sauce was to die for. And the standout of the evening was the sea bass!! Never in my life have I had a more perfectly cooked, buttery, rich, and flavorful piece of fish. The crab fried rice that accompanied it was *chefs kiss* The other standout of the evening was our server, Maria. She was joyful and fun, made impeccable recommendations, and her table side service of our flaming baked Alaska for dessert was perfection. We are so grateful that she was part of our experience!! 10/10 Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? YES YES YES Take a chance and swipe right on Truluck's. This was my first time at a Truluck's. We were in town for a concert and chose to eat here for dinner. The food was yummy and the service was phenomenal. Ricardo (Ricky) was our server. He is friendly and very attentive. He was happy to make some great suggestions on the menu. He even brought out a nice dessert for my boyfriend's birthday. Later during our time there, a live singer performed on the piano. It was lovely.

First of all, the ambiance was amazing. It's great for a work meeting or a date. The lights are dim and there was quiet but upbeat live music for entertainment. We didn't have reservations and showed up around 8pm on a Tuesday evening. The place was less than half capacity. The host got us seated without a wait. We were delighted that the menus had a bit of backlighting, which despite the dim ambiance, made it very easy to read! We asked our server to help us with a wine selection based on some things we told him we enjoy and he picked me a white and my guest a smooth red. We both really enjoyed our wine. Then for appetizer we started with a large stone crab leg each. This was so fresh and delicious. It was both of our first times trying this delicacy. The mustard sauce on the side enhanced the taste a lot. This was a bit expensive but worth it to try! For our main meals I got the scallops with mushroom risotto and my guest got the petit salmon. The scallops were pretty marginal. I often have this dish at ocean prime or the like and I prefer it there. There wasn't enough sear on the scallops and they just weren't as juicy and tender as I like them. One of them was also a little sandy. The risotto was also more or less standard. This is my go to dish at most seafood places but I'd say this was good but not great. The salmon was cooked perfectly but the bernaise on it didn't really have the rest of the flavors. The flavoring was a bit of a miss. The service was amazing as we were checked on often and the bathroom was also incredibly clean. Overall, the wine and stone crab were the highlights.

Amazing food! We were adamant about trying stone crab while in Florida and I do not regret it. Our server and host was attentive and professional. So thankful. Sometimes lack of service can break the experience. The portion sizes seem a little bit smaller for the price but was delicious so easily overlooked. I recommend coming here with colleagues, family or as a date. It really accommodates to all. The carrot cake is a must! Also a heads up- they will ask if you want to get started with their bread; it is around $6 and will be charged on your bill! It's worth getting but don't be the a-hole who complains that you weren't notified (even though it would have been helpful to know ) Recommend this place if you're looking to try stone crab but not wanting to spend $$$ that are priced at other stone crab restaurants.

We were looking for crabs. They were excellent as well as the lobster. Nice ambience. Great wine list, but if you step at the bar first, you will find interesting bottles at 50% discount.

A top notch restaurant right in Downtown Miami/Brickell area. Having had the brand before in CA, and not wanting to trek all the way to South Beach for Joe's, this is a great place to get Florida Stone Crab. You can order by the piece or get a platter which comes with mashed potatoes and asparagus depending on your hunger level and/or group size. I went for the platter, and while the stone crab was excellent, the asparagus that came with it was lackluster as it was old and not trimmed/shaved down as many fine dining establishments do. I also got their version of steak frites, which was cooked perfectly, though more akin to sliced beef medallions than a traditional version of steak frites. The truffle fries that accompanied it were excellent. Very thin short shoestring style loaded with flavor. Service was top notch with both the waiter and the assistants constantly checking to ensure my meal was good and I had everything I needed. As for the ambiance, the dining room was nice, though the music from the live piano player in the bar area was a bit loud and would have preferred a softer, more mellow music choice during my meal similar to that of Trulucks that used to be in La Jolla. Overall, a great alternative to Joe's if you're in downtown or just don't want to trek too far to get some good food. The service was definitely the star.

While away for work, we tried this local restaurant. When we arrived the place was very nice. Paola was our server, and she was great. We started with drinks, and I had the lemon drop martini, which I wasn't a fan of, so I switched to the old fashioned which was good. For appetizers, I tried the crab cakes and calamari, which were very good. For my meal, I got the sea bass with the said of mac and cheese, and they were really good as well. The whole experience was really good!

The food here is delicious, and the service is fantastic. We dined here for my mom's birthday. For starters, we had the lobster bisque, the Sonoma greens salad, and a caesar salad. For our mains, we had the seabass, scallops, stone crabs, and a petit grouper prepared with just S&P for my 3 year old. We also did a creamed spinach as a side. All were delicious. I loved that the menus were backlit, so that they were easy to read in the dimly lit restaurant. The hostess and waiter were polite and attentive. I also love that they brought warm lavender scented towels between courses. Between apps and mains, the waiter only brought them for the adults but saw I shared mine with my kiddo, so between mains and dessert he brought one for him too, which made him feel extra special. Oh, and don't skip the carrot cake! The other desserts are good, but the carrot cake can't be missed. Since we were there for my moms birthday, they did bring us a baked Alaska, which they flame at the table. Very nice touch, and very tasty. But we still got the carrot cake to go!!

It's been a while since I've been to Trulucks, but nothing has changed. The service and food are still supreme. The attentiveness of our waitress was perfect. I went with one of my good friends for happy hour and we just had drinks and oysters. The oysters were so fresh, the best oysters iv had in a longggg time. The champagne mignonette, great added touch.

We chose Truluck's to celebrate Valentine's Day together. The ambiance is very upscale and intimate. Loved the view of the city from our table upstairs. I had the "Voila" and the Tru Romance for my drinks. I have to say the "Voila" was my favorite! From the dry smoke to the raspberries to the flavor! It had a hint of a grape flavor which I loved. Next, we had the lobster bisque. Which I was really looking forward to. We order the lobster bisque anywhere that has it so we can compare to other restaurants. I will say, I wasn't super impressed. It had a very strong sherry taste to it, almost so much so that it over powered the lobster flavor. It did have lots of lobster pieces in it, which was a plus. But I think Ocean Prime is still my fav so far. Blue crab stuffed lobster tails were delicious! My husband had the filet mignon flight which was pretty good as well. All in all, it was a lovely dinner.

Great food, atmosphere and experience from beginning to end. Calamari stir fry app is phenomenal, and the lobster mashed was as well. Steak was good, but nothing over the top.

The restaurant has a fancy ambiance. There was not a long wait for lunch, which was nice. Only problem is the food took forever to come out. Maybe order apps to prevent hangriness. I also ordered my steak medium well (don't come for me) and it came out pretty red. Steak was still delicious tho!

Started out negative with an unfriendly greeting from the hostess. The food and ambience are descent though.

Delicious. A classic steakhouse with all the service elements you could hope for. Clean tablecloths, prompt seating with options. We opted to sit away from the live pianist and performer since my fiancé is hard of hearing. Thankful we were given choice. There is outdoor seating as well. I had the sea bass which was fantastic and my fiance had a steak cooked to perfection. The bread served table side is fantastic with a great compound butter. Cocktails were great as well, we both had spicy margaritas with a fruit element.

I bookmarked Trulucks on Yelp before I even went to Miami or decided for sure that I was going on a trip. This place was beyond wonderful and the food was amazing. I'm glad I got to come in here to try this seafood restaurant out. I made reservations and walked here for dinner from the hotel. Overall the inside is clean and dimly lit. The menus are kind of cool since they light up and glow! You can read all the items quite clearly. Ordered some stone crab claws, lobster bisque, and shrimp cocktail, and for my main, I had miso-glazed sea bass. Everything was so delicious and super fresh!

Great first visit. My friends that live locally in Miami all ranted and raved about this place. I ordered the power lunch which I think is a good deal for lunch. Of course you want more but this is just lunch. Can't wait to check out the happy hour scene and the new Fort Lauderdale location soon to open.

My flight got delayed so I wasn't able to make it to my reservation for Joes Stone Crab. I desperately wanted to try stone crab and found Trulucks, not too far away and with even better ratings than Joes and a better menu. I was not disappointed making a reservation here ! I was able to easily snag a last minute reservation on a Saturday night outside. I was worried about the dress code, but was able to get in without issue or question or comment The food and service were great. Every single dish we had was delicious. Joes jumbo crab claws - $38 per claw. Juicy , fresh, cracked served with mayo sauce. Parmesan Yeast bread rolls - don't sleep on these. They were freshly baked and amazing dipped with the lobster bisque. The sea scallops and mashed potato's paired well together and came with a tasty sauce For my husbands birthday, they provided a complimentary baked Alaska with chocolate and vanilla ice cream inside. Wonderful place for food. Make sure to check out the dress code before hand to avoid any potential issue. Highly recommended for special occasions.

We were craving something healthy like fish so we walked to @trulucksrestaurant for dinner! I noticed that they offer regular & petite portions, which is a really nice option. We both ordered the petite grouper, blackened & it did not disappoint! It was served over a bed of mashed potatoes ( which isn't the healthiest, but they were so yummy we couldn't complain ) ! We did order a side of broccoli & my hubby started with the lobster bisque. The bisque was delicious ( of course I had a bite!). My favorite part was when the server came & offered us fruit to flavor our water! What a cool service . They offered orange slices, lemon slices, lime slices, and cucumbers . It was a nice , impromptu dinner. The ambience is beautiful. The food was really good and the service was good. The crowd this restaurant attracts, though, is surprising . No one was dressed up very nice and there definitely was no one under 35, there. ‍ An unusual scene ( or lack of lol ) for a nice restaurant in Miami. I love that their menus light up when you open them! I wish more restaurants had this, especially in the really dark restaurants! Upscale seafood. The Cesar salads is one of my top choices. Always a great experience as the seafood is fresh and cooked to perfection. The service is top notch as the wait staff is extremely attentive and accommodating. Great choice for a special occasion.

This was my first visit to Truluck's! My coworkers and I wanted to have a girl's night out and we decided to try a new restaurant. What an amazing experience. We were pleasantly greeted and immediately taken to our table. Our server was very attentive and gave us some great suggestions. The salmon was outstanding. The manager, Kim, stopped by our table to see how we were doing and suggested the carrot cake for dessert. It was delicious! Whether you are enjoying a date night or catching up with friends, I would highly recommend Truluck's.

We went for Happy Hour - stayed for Miami Spice dinner! Enjoyed rolls and all of the three courses from the Miami Spice menu. We will be back! Bartenders and servers were excellent to us. Two managers stopped by to check on us. We like that.

I came here once for an intimate business lunch and it was TRULy a luxurious experience in the heart of Brickell. First of all, to get the most out of it, I recommend having nothing planned on your calendar so you can spend hours here enjoying your meal, your company and the ambiance. All the seafood I tried was delicious, but what stood out to me was the lobster bisque (thinking about it makes me salivate!). Service is 5 star and no one is trying to rush you, and the manager stopped by to see how were doing. I recommend Truluck's for a first class seafood dining experience in Brickell, and I can't wait to go back!

Truluck's was a by chance dining experience. I booked our anniversary dinner for when we would be on vacation in Miami. I had never dined at Truluck's before and the reviews steered me in the correct direction for a wonderful experience. I was impressed from the moment we walked in the door. We were a bit early and they seated us right then. They took us to our table and we were surprised to have fresh rose petals on the table along with an anniversary card, signed by the staff. The ambiance was so elegant. The lighted menus' were impressive. The food was awesome. Our waiter, Jose, made our experience the best we have ever had. We have dined in many fine dining establishments across the country and Truluck's is by far more than 5 stars. The next day, I received a call from Truluck' to follow up on our dining experience. That is 1st class!

The service is consistent now and the staff are super respectful and kind. This is the only steak place to go in Miami!

We love it here. We always come here to celebrate our milestones. While the food is always great and consistent the real reason we always some back is because of the service. I'll start by saying over all AMAZING. The service was fast and friendly. The server was knowledgeable and made suggestions. The food was fresh, delicious, nicely portioned and decently priced. Back when Truluck's first opened at this location, I worked in the building and this was my go-to spot for Happy Hour & celebratory lunches & dinners. Although I wirk nearby now, it had been like TEN YEARS since I had been back, but that will definitely change after yesterday's fantastic lunch! We were celebrating our co-workers birthday & decided to head to Truluck's for this last week of Miami Spice. As soon as we arrived the service was immediately noticeable. The gentleman at valet was very nice & once we walked in, the lovely hostess (who was there back when I used to frequent) welcomed us with such warmth! We were promptly seated in one of their lovely booths & the hostess cane back to sprinkle silver confetti on the table when she overheard there was a birthday! Such a sweet detail. Our waiter, Marvin was great too. He made some excellent wine suggestions & was never more than a few feet away. Truth be told, some Miami Spice menus are terrible & you wonder why the restaurants bothered to participate at all. That was NOT the case with Truluck's! The options on the menu were delicious, tried & true favourites. We started with the PARKER HOUSE STYLE ROLLS (butter brushed, and parmesan finished). This heavenly cloud of bread was sooooo beautiful, fluffy & delicious! Totally worth the carbs. For my meal, I chose the SONOMA GREENS SALAD (spicy pecans, goat cheese, apples, kalamata olives, honey vinaigrette) which is quite possibly one of THE best salads I have EVER HAD. Soooooo good! Flavours were perfectly balanced with great textures throughout. Next, for my mail, I chose the JALAPEÑO SALMON BÉARNAISE (blue crab, shrimp, béarnaise) the perfectly cooked fillet sat on top of a mound of masked potatoes, then covered with the most incredible, silkiest, crab filled béarnaise sauce! The one shrimp was also to die for. If no one was looking, I would have licked the plate clean. I'm STILL thinking about it & plotting my next visit. For dessert, I went with the classic VANILLA CRÈME BRÛLÉE (rich creamy custard infused with madagascar vanilla beans) which was perfect! As we were just digging in to our desserts, Marvin surprised us with a birthday BAKED ALASKA & proceeded to set it up in flames while we excitedly oooohed & aaaaahed! Such amazing food, great time & such incredible service from everyone at this top-notch establishment. Will definitely be back soon!

This was an amazing steak and seafood experience! This was conveniently located near our hotel too! One of our team members highly recommended this restaurant and I can see why. It was a warm evening and our group of 13 was seated in the outdoor patio. We started with the prime meatballs and the shrimp cocktail appetizers. I also had the lobster bisque. My main course was the snow crab claws. The shells were cracked and the crabmeat was easy to remove. For dessert I had the carrot cake--the cream cheese frosting wasn't too sweet and the cake was very moist. I wasn't able to take food pics, other than my crab claws, so you'll have to believe me that the entire meal was delicious from start to finish. The ambience, service and food was excellent. My Fiancé proposed here. He did NOT know where we were going to dinner. So the staff worked with him behind-the-scenes and less than five minutes to create a beautiful memory for us. Thank you to all who helped him pull off the surprise of a lifetime.

Came here for an intimate birthday dinner. Lovely service, they think of everything. The ambiance is beautiful and elegant. The food was great but I for some reason was expecting better? Maybe it's what I chose to order. Id definitely come back and try again.

This is one of my top go to restaurants whenever I visit South Florida . I've been to this establishment twice and literally have no complaints . Food is spectacular. Service is impeccable and the live music is enjoyable

The food and service was amazing! We ordered Caesar salad, lobster bisque, crudo, creamed spinach, seared tuna and mock tails. Everything was soo tasty!! The portions are also well sized especially for a nicer restaurant. I'm already craving it again and will definitely be back when I'm in town.
