Welcoming place, Efe, our server was great. We start with Hummus and Falafel. We ordered marinated chicken and Mix Grill uff adana kebab, chicken kebab, and beef kebab with rice and mixed vegetables. We finished with tea, coffee, and Baklava with ice cream.

This is an INCREDIBLE Turkish restaurant. While it’s not quite comparable to a restaurant in Turkey of the same pedigree, it’s exceptional for Turkey. We had Adana Kebap and İskender. The Adana Kebap was seasoned perfectly and the İskender was about as close as one can get in the States! Our waiter, Efe, was an awesome guy. He connected with us, gave us advice on the menu, and took care of us well all without being too pushy or trying too hard. We also had the Künefe, which was excellent for America!

I've always remembered the scenario from lion witch and wardrobe where Peter when confronted by the ice queen's generosity, The soon-to-be King Peter quickly requested Turkish delight!! Turkish delight indeed. Truva, was not just a dining experience but a cultural experience, not everyone in the establishment is of the Turkish culture but everyone is cultured. The food was surprisingly delightfully textured with flavor, spice and heat, The variety was almost too much to overcome and actually decide on a single starter, and or entree, but first were the drinks, All of which seem to be signature beverages with head spinning juxtaposes of alchemy, I ordered the, basil and gin, along with the calamari which was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside it came with two dipping sauces one must have been a mango spicy dip and the other a cool cucumber ranch I'm not certain but I am certain that they were both delicious pairings to the dish. The atmosphere is absolutely hypnotic it's like being wrapped in the embrace of a thousand baby kittens lol, classy yet extremely comfortable! Our server was delightful and accommodating and our bartender was absolutely facilitating...! I hope you get the chance to enjoy Truva as we did. Don't be a fool and wait too long All good things must come to an end!! Sly B~

Google
Highly recommend Truva if you like good clean food, loaded with flavors from the Mediterranean. Tries a couple different things, one of the spreads , a meze (kinda like an appetizer) and a mixed grill entre for two (see photo) 🤩. Soooo good, in fact I enjoyed it so much I ate slowly to savor every bite. Our waiter was very personable and did a good job, all I was missing as the Mediterranean Sea in the backdrop to complete the ambience.

Great ambiance. Terrific food. The lamb chops were perfection. Our server had a wonderful sense of humor and was knowledgeable about the wine list. I definitely did not leave hungry. We will be back soon.

We were walking downtown looking for a place to have a drink & a small bite. Stopped in noticed the sign featuring their special for the evening. Lamb shank. Our favourite. Well weren’t we in for a surprise with amazing service and friendly staff. The aroma of the food was peaking our senses as we walked up the stairs. The atmosphere here is charming and the mood in this restaurant is cozy, with comfort seating and the lighting soft & romantic. We were very pleased of the few dishes we ordered to share. The flavours in all the dishes were outstanding. Everything was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back in January to enjoy more dishes with a much bigger appetite. Thank you for hospitality.

Absolutely breathtaking delicious food. The lamb was melt in your mouth tender, and the eggplant puree was plate licking great. Everything we ate we loved, we will be back next time we're in Atlanta!

Google
It’s definitely not the cheapest Mediterranean restaurant in the city but the quality is unmatched. I highly recommend kunefe as a dessert but if you’re looking for something underrated you can try the squash dessert. Adana is fire. Definitely recommend. Don’t forget to drink turkish tea before you leave.

Yelp
O . . .M . . .Goodness. if you live in (or at any point in time will be in) Metro-Atlanta, and you have not been to here - GO! IMMEDIATELY! [do check hours of operation ] A friend and I dined here for the first time today and were treated to a symphony of phenomenal flavors. We sampled several things, among them the Vegetarian Moussaka which was simply EXCELLENT. (I'm not even a vegetarian by the way) The texture [mouthfeel] was tremendous, the flavor was outstanding, and just look at that visual presentation. Also, I have no idea why it came with a side of delicious rice that I could not refrain from consuming (carbs be damned), but you should go and see if you can uncover that answer. To paraphrase an outdated movie reference, "I'll DEFINITELY be back". I also bought their popular house specialty sauce/dip/divinity which I'll be treating my Chef's Table guests to. Bravo Truva. PS - the Staff . . . equally outstanding!

Yelp
I would rate Truva a solid 4.5 stars. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by this local gem in ViHa. Being Mediterranean food enthusiasts, we're on a mission to try all the spots in Atlanta, and Truva did not disappoint. We opted for the classics - Hummus, marinated chicken kabob, and grilled salmon, all served with rice and veggies. While the dishes were typical of Mediterranean cuisine, they were packed with flavor. In hindsight, I regret not taking some of their delicious hummus home! The service started off a bit slow; it took a while for our servers to take our initial drink order. Understandably, the restaurant was bustling (Friday night at 6:30 PM), with every table occupied. **Reservations are highly recommended here to secure a table.

Yelp
Upscale casual ambiance at this cute restaurant in N. Highland! They have a covered patio that is really nice but we opted to sit inside. The menu contains your usual Mediterranean/Turkish cuisines with lots of fish, lamb, and veggies. I opted to get the Adana kebab that came with rice and a side of arugula salad. The kebab was well seasoned and paired greatly with the rice. The rice was soooooo good. I love a good seasoned rice pilaf! Service was nice and our waiter was super friendly. The food did take a bit to come out but everything tasted really good when we got it so no complaints!

Yelp
The food and service at Truva Turkish Kitchen in Virginia-Highland were outstanding. I give this place 4.5 stars rounded up to 5. This is perhaps the best Turkish restaurant in metro Atlanta. That said, there aren't many. Delbar and Cafe Agora come to mind. When it comes to Mediterranean food more generally, I think Truva still compares favorably to the competition. I went to the original Truva in downtown Atlanta during Dragon Con: https://bit.ly/47VHTBa That location closed in June 2020, leaving only this one: https://bit.ly/4bf7hom This location replaced American Roadhouse in Virginia-Highland in February 2019. We visited this location for a Sunday lunch. At that time, I was somewhat surprised to see a brunch and breakfast menu, which wasn't on Truva's website when I checked. The menu had a lot of egg dishes (e.g., omelets, Eggs Benedict) and also incorporated Turkish foods like beef soujuk (sujuk - spicy fermented sausage) and borek (pastries/pies). Truva is on OpenTable and they award points. Book your reservation there and earn points which can be used to redeem restaurant discounts, Amazon gift cards, hotel stays, and more. Here's what three of us shared: Hot Meze * Octopus ($16) - chargrilled Mediterranean octopus, arugula salad, olive oil, fresh lemon juice, grilled tomato caper sauce, hummus * Mutebbel ($14) - smoked eggplant, dehydrated yogurt, garlic, walnut, paprika, butter Chargrilled Kebabs * Mixed Grill for Two ($62) plus One ($35) - chargrilled adana, chicken kebab, beef kebab, shaved doner, Turkish rice, grilled tomatoes, long hot peppers, Everything was delicious, especially for a Sunday when service was slow. Sometimes, restaurants don't churn out their best stuff at non-peak times, but everything we ordered was on point. I was impressed. We actually ended up ordering off the dinner menu instead of the lunch menu because we wanted to try a variety of kebabs. The best way to do that was via the "Mixed Grill" option on the dinner menu. Coincidentally, I happened to do the same thing relatively recently - ordered off the dinner menu at lunchtime to try more kebabs - at Zafron Restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant in Sandy Springs. Regardless if you're visiting for lunch or dinner, Truva's Mixed Grill is the way to go if you want to try a lot of items and have a feast. At the time of our visit, the Mixed Grill was designed for one ($35), two ($62), and four ($120) people. Since there were three of us, we got two plus one. The portions were generous. We had leftovers. What impressed me the most was how perfectly each meat was cooked, especially the chicken kebab. The chicken kebab was made out of chicken breast. It was lightly seasoned and chargrilled. Each piece was consistently moist and tender. It's the best chicken kebab I can remember. The other meats - adana (hand-chopped lamb), beef kebab, and shaved doner (beef and lamb) - were terrific as well. All were very flavorful and savory. The adana tasted "clean" (no noticeable game). The doner, which is Turkish, is similar to gyro (Greek). Doner is the OG -- shaved meats like gyro and al pastor (Mexican) evolved from it. I found Truva's doner to be tougher and meatier than gyro, but still quite soft and delectable. The beef kebabs were like mini hot, juicy steaks. Really tasty. The Turkish rice was a fluffy white rice pilaf that tasted great because it soaked up a lot of the meats' juices. That and I believe it was also buttered. The grilled tomatoes, peppers, and side salads (with dressing) were fresh and nice accompaniments. The Mixed Grill also came with a couple sauces, one was tzatziki (yogurt) and the other was roasted red pepper aioli, made in-house. The Octopus and Mutebbel (mutabbal) were fantastic, as was the complimentary housemade tomato sauce they gave us with housemade pita bread to start. I believe the tomato sauce they gave us was Ezme. It's a Turkish red sauce that's kind of like salsa. The pita was appetizingly thick and had some bounce. It was yummy by itself. You can buy Truva's homemade tomato sauce in 10-ounce jars for $10 per jar. You can also buy their aioli. The Octopus dish was packed with flavor and the quality was excellent. To nitpick, the octopus could have been bigger. Mutabbal is similar to, but not the same as, baba ghanoush. Service was wonderful. Unfortunately, I missed our server's name. Otherwise, I would've put in a good word for her here. There was another person, a manager-looking guy, who took great care of us too. The ambiance is elevated casual. They have indoor and outdoor seating (small covered patio). Truva has a dedicated parking lot that it shares with other businesses in the same building. Parking is paid during certain days/hours. Follow the instructions on the signs. When in doubt, just park, go inside, and ask if parking is paid at the time of your visit. During our Sunday afternoon visit, it was free.

Yelp
From service to ambiance to food, truva is a true hidden gem in Virginia highlands! I met up here with some friends to explore more of VA-Hi( Virginia Highlands) and I made a reservation. The hostess got our reservation mixed up and seemed a little irritated she didn't hear my friend properly so I was a little nervous but they let us sit at our table and our server was such great energy. I was so excited how accommodating they were to my partner who is gluten free as well! For starters we got the Zucchini Pancake $10 GF, Stuffed Grape Leaves $9 GF, Octopus $16 everything was so good I dream about the zucchini pancakes every day since as well as the house bread that's free! It's so flavorful and yummy! All the drinks were good as well I got their gin cocktail it was very strong I think it was truva gimlet maybe and my partner got sangria it was sooo good! For dinner we all had different things I got the doner kebab $24 and it was outstanding! I also had leftovers and was very happy with two meals of this!

Yelp
A great gem in the V-Hi neighborhood! Atmosphere: you walk in the front door to a giant, beautiful bar. The restaurant itself is quaint but with great lighting. There is also a covered patio with heaters as needed. Parking: this area is hit or miss but there are a few pay lots close by if you can't find street. Allow a little extra time if it's a weekend. Food: the Turkish bread and tomato dip service was so simple but the taste was stunning. We couldn't get enough of it. We ordered the mix 3 dips which would be enough for 4 people to share. baba ghanoush- the least flavorful of the three, I don't think I'd order again. Muhammara- very similar to hummus, red in color and very delicious. haydari- our favorite of the three. Similar to a labneh but a little lighter in flavor and consistency. It was great with the tomato dip and bread! The benefit of Truva is the option to try multiple of their delicious kabobs. We did the mix plate for two, which came with all of the kabobs, rice, and salad. It was SO DELICIOUS. The meats were cooked perfectly and the chicken was juicer than I'd expect from a kabob. The lamb was probably some of the most flavorful with a lovely char that added a great texture. The platter came with two dipping sauces, too. I'd come back for this mix plate. Price: for the portion, well worth it. The mix platter was $35 and could feed 3 people. For the dips, the mix was worth the price but I think we could only finish 1 next time. Service: our waiter was WONDERFUL! Some of the best service I've seen in Atlanta. All of the staff were great. They were also Turkish which is really cool. Takeaway: don't compare this to other Mediterranean or Persian food in the city. It's truly Turkish cuisine and is adjacent but has its own flavors. Equally wonderful! Will be back!!!!

Yelp
I've said it at least 3x before and I'll say it again - Truva is a 5-star experience. I don't know why it's not jam packed every time I'm there, but I'd also be heartbroken if I couldn't walk right in and be seated every time. A not-so-hidden gem in VA Highlands, Truva is cozy, elevated, Turkish comfort food for the Mediterranean cuisine lover. Every time we say we'll try something new and we get the same stuff because TRUVA DOES NOT MISS. - Beet & Arugula Salad (not pictured, but Shepherd salad is) - Albanian Livers (obsessed) - Falafel - Iskender - Bonus: Bottles of wine $60 or less were 50% off last night! And of course the complimentary bread and tomato spread - which, you have to be careful with. We had 3 bread baskets, a new low (and high) for us. But it's warm, soft, and irresistible. A very special shout-out to our server Drew (def ask for him if you're a first-timer) who took this experience to new heights by simply being hospitable, thoughtful, and having some very reliable recommendations. Thank you thank you thank you, Truva. See you next time!

Yelp
What a great lunch spot! In the former American Roadhouse, Truvia has a spacious inside and a nice covered patio. Definitely recommend the hummus app; great flavor and texture and nice thick slices of carrot to go with. The chicken wrap was delicious (I think with an aioli that was extra flavorful) and the fries crisp and tasty. Nice service, will go back when in VaHi!

Yelp
Stopped in on a whim with a friend and we ended up having a delicious meal and drinks! Inviting and cozy interior and our server was very attentive. Forgot what cocktails we ordered but they were both tasty and layered. For an app we got the cheese and hummus that surprised us both, the cheese pull was 10/10. And for entree I got the beef tenderloin kebab which was so tender and flavorful, all I would ask for is more onions and peppers. Overall a great spot in VaHi. So del

Yelp
Despite the number of vast Turkish/Mediterranean restaurants in ATL Truva, it has to be in my top three. The food here is authentic with bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and thoughtfully done with decent portion sizes. We had the pleasure of being served by Roland he was engaging ,very personable, gave excellent recommendations, and outstanding customer service. The food was delicious. Everything was balanced and seasoned well. I had the shrimp with lamb chops AMAZING!! The lamb was so tender that it just melted in your mouth. All the dishes we tried were great. The menu isn't extensive and overwhelming they offer just enough to get you to come back and try other entrees. I'm definitely getting the lamb. No, ifs ands or buts about it...LOL All in all, the ambiance is cozy and welcoming, simple, and beautiful decor the whole staff is accommodating and extremely friendly. I'm definitely requesting Roland on my next visit.

Yelp
Man, we couldn't have been happier with our choice of restaurants. This place was just beautiful all around. The most attentive staff, absolutely scrumptious food, very clean, and wonderful ambiance. Our server Caesar, was very friendly, prompt, and knew his menu front to back. The dishes we ordered were all so fresh, with bright flavors. I'm always judgmental of restaurants where I have to salt my food. Here at Truva , you will not need salt or any extra seasoning for your dishes. They were all a 10/10!!!We ate until our waistlines were bulging, and still had a ton of leftovers. We had a reservation for 6:15, and by 7, they were at capacity. I would highly recommend a reservation on the weekend. This will be our Mediterranean go to from here on. Do not pass this one up!

Yelp
The food is absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend getting a trio of dips-- we got babaghanoush, muhammara, and haydari which was a fantastic blend of flavors and textures. The complimentary bread also comes with a delicious sun dried tomato dip, so it's hard not to fill up before the main course!! I also got a calamari and a dumpling, both of which I'd recommend. For entrees, the iksender and the branzino were wonderful. The hospitality is truly heartfelt and our server went out of his way to ensure we had a lovely evening; truly feels like a family establishment. The decor inside is lovely with a mix of tables, booths, high tops, and bar seating

Yelp
Glad to know the food at this place has not changed! It's still as good as my last visit here. I've been here a few times and the food has always been very good. Unfortunately, their service is still the same and mediocre. There's parking in the back of the building that could be tight if there's a car coming the opposite way. We ended up paying but didn't think it was necessary on the weekends as we dined here on a Saturday. We made a reservation and were seated right away. The place is cozy and nicely decorated. As soon as we sat, our server poured water into our glasses but since we were still waiting for the rest of our party, he didn't come back until way later. My favorite about this place is their complimentary bread basket with the most delicious dip. It's tomato, olive oil dip that's so good I can bathe in it. Our table ordered fried calamari and hummus as starters. The calamari was greasy but tender. Hummus was delicious and served with veggies instead of pita, but I'm assuming that was done that way because of the bread that was already served. I feel like we waited close to 30 mins until we got our entrees. The shrimp kebab plate only came with one kebab but this was more than enough to satisfy me. It was served with 5 big pieces of shrimp, pepper, onion kebab and side salad, Turkish rice and sliced tomatoes. I didn't really care for the sauce, it was like a spicy mayo sauce but wish I requested for tzatziki instead. We celebrated a birthday so once our table was cleared, the server dropped off a dessert with a candle for the birthday boy, kind of in an abrupt manner. He then dropped off the after dinner drinks and dessert menu. Food here is delicious so if you're in the area, it's a definite must try!

Yelp
Truva is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. It was an unexpected encounter since Surin of Thailand was closed. I was craving Thai that day, but decided to walk down the street and Truva caught my eye. Parking is quite easy. If you can't find any street parking on the side streets, there's a lot across the street you can pay for. It defaults to 2 hours if you use the app so make sure to update that setting if it's your first time at that location! Truva's food is absolutely delicious! The bread was also amazing.. had to ask for seconds. The server was kind to package up more in a to-go bag. Speaking of service, it was phenomenal. The server knew every detail of the menu and was more than happy to explain what each dish was.

Yelp
The apps were great! I suggest getting the mussels & dipping the complimentary bread in the cream sauce! The entrees weren't very good & the lamb was tough, I asked for medium but maybe I should've asked for rare! I can't remember the other entree (unnamed) but I didn't appreciate the texture overall would definitely return for the apps! Service was amazing too & the vibe was great totally recommend sitting outside & bringing a couple friends.

Yelp
This is the best Turkish food I've ever had ! It was even better that the one I had when I travel to Turkey ! When I saw the great reviews I knew that I had to try this place while I was in town and I am glad I did ! Everything I had was just perfectly seasoned and cooked. We all left with a huge smile . Pics show what we had. Place was clean, staff was kind and ambiance was great overall. This is a great choice if you are in the area !!

Yelp
This place almost had a perfect 5 star rating, which is honestly hard to achieve anywhere, especially in Atlanta where our food scene is competitive. My friends invited me out to a Sunday lunch and I had never even heard of this place , nor had I ever eaten Turkish food, so I was so down to give it a try. There was a parking lot behind the restaurant to park. I came on Sunday, so I didn't have to pay for my spot, but I think you have to pay to park on other days. I am not sure of the restaurant validates or not. It is definitely a nice perk to have a decent sized parking lot so close to the restaurant though. You can make reservations on open table, which I would recommend during peak dinner hours. It wasn't too busy Sunday for lunch. When you walk in the restaurant, it is beautifully decorated with bright colors and authentic Turkish wall art and design. Our waitress was super helpful at recommending what we should eat. She shared some of their most ordered dishes, her favorites, and what items would be the biggest bang for our buck since we were all sharing plates. Here is what we ordered. We ordered the mixed grilled sampler tray as our main dish. It had different types of their speciality grilled meats that included chicken, doner, beef and lamb. It also included rice, grilled vegetables, and dipping sauces. The platter is definitely what you should order if you are sharing. We shared it among three people, and I could definitely see it being shareable with up to 4 people. I tried all of the different meat types. The beef tenderloin was my favorite. It was not overcooked and had so much juiciness and flavor to it. The chicken was my second favorite because it had a great smoky flavor to it. I also enjoyed the rice. We also ordered the grilled octopus and the smoked eggplant. Both were shareable as well and very good. We put the smoked eggplant on the homemade pita bread and it was 10/10! They also bring a warm tomato and oil based dip that was created by the head chef himself out with the pita bread. That dip is probably one of the best Mediterranean dips I've ever had. Our waitress said that it is so popular that they can it and sell it in the restaurant. Their pita bread is unlike any pita bread I've had before. It looks more like regular loaf bread and tastes fresh. Overall, Truva is a unique dining experience and definitely place you should try if you are in or near the Virginia Highland area.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Ordered take out with the intention of having leftovers and couldn't stop eating. Well done. I had the marinated chicken kababs by the way.

Yelp
The food is amazing. I had the salmon and it was so fresh and tasty. The temperature of the salmon was exquisite. The atmosphere is amazing with an elegant flare. The service was amazing and the waitress and waiters are very professional and know a lot about the menu.

Yelp
I Google some Turkish restaurants and this one came up. There is paid parking in the lot across the street and also some street parking. It has a very modern and sleek feel to it but not too uptight in there. The staff were really friendly and responsive. Wasn't hardly anyone in there on a Thursday night. The food was good, great but no complaints and you get decent size portions. As for drinks I recommend the Mule, was made perfectly.

Yelp
I don't know jack squat about Turkish food. Don't know the greatest hits, don't know the deep tracks either. That didn't stop my wife and I from giving it the old college try. We headed over to Truva on a rainy date night with open minds and empty tummies. You'd have to be cold-hearted to not notice the dining room. It's really beautiful, honestly. I don't know the design elements by name, but check my pictures though, it's a kind of gold-with-dark-colors lush. We ordered the eggplant and kebab salad, which arrived with the doner (beef/lamb) and chicken adana half-kebabs. The meats were resting on a bed of (stewed?) eggplant with tomato and bread scattered about. It was super fragrant, with the smell of the grilled meats wafting around. Also ordered was the beet salad, topped with salmon. Check the pictures, all of this was cleanly presented and really very nice to eat. Service was kind and accommodating, especially considering that the place was filling up while we ate. The menu does offer some more accessible Mediterranean-style dishes, if you're eating with picky kids or something. It's tough to give a review for a style of food that I don't know much about, you know? So maybe take my rating with a grain of salt. I don't have a baseline for good Turkish food, so maybe as I explore this food style my opinion will be more valuable. We had lots of fun though.

Yelp
I remember when Truva opened downtown ages ago and I finally went. It has since moved to Virginia Highland. The building of the old American Roadhouse. I went for lunch as there is no parking space problem and no fee to park in the pay lot until 530pm. You also have a lunch menu that is cheaper. I ordered a lamb kabob. It was good tender meat nicely presented. I think the meat should have been served warmer though but overall I was very satisfied. Service was good! I will go back! The do serve alcohol.

Yelp
Have lunches here a few times and each time the service and food have been great! There's a parking lot with ample parking during the day. Probably tighter in the evening and on weekends. The bathrooms are super clean! The garlic cilantro fries are addictive and the roasted cauliflower is delicious! The zucchini pancakes are tasty and crispy but get cold and soggy quickly so you have to eat them fast. I'm following a keto diet and love that they have so many keto friendly and gluten free options to choose from.

Yelp
I love this place. We ordered a lot of stuff and everything ranged from very good to incredible. The food is richly spiced and full of surprising flavors. The atmosphere is very nice. Bathroom was clean. Staff was friendly. I already can't wait to eat the leftovers. There's a parking lot behind the building that's a paid lot after 5:30. We paid about $5 for 2 hour parking.

Yelp
I cannot believe this was my first time here. I was looking for a place to grab lunch on a Sunday afternoon that offered outdoor seating and this place came up. OMG! This might have been one of the best meals that I have had in Atlanta in a really long time. Let's start by talking about the ease of parking and tons of indoor and outdoor seating. That is always a +! The manager welcomed us and acted as the host, server, water pourer, etc. This was another + because managers should be helping and hands on when needed. Then bread and sun-dried tomato dip could be a meal in itself. It was lovely! The eggplant salad, not to be confused with babaganoush (which is also offered) was a great fresh smoky eggplant and tomato salad chopped up well and served with fresh veggies. It was delightful and so vibrant in flavor. The beet and arugula salad was a heaping serving of fresh arugula, with its spicy tastes, along with chopped beets in multiple colors and walnuts. The secret is the beet blend at the bottom of the dish so make sure to mix your salad up. The extra bread came in handy to scoop up any remaining sauce. The zucchini pancakes were two large pancakes of shaved zucchini that was friend and served with a yogurt sauce that a a slight mint flavor it it. Theses were light and crispy on the outside and very delicate on the inside. The lamb plate was large and served with pieces of lamb cooked and seasoned to perfection. It came with rice and a salad. Everything was so delicious!!

Yelp
New favorite date spot!! It was very romantic and the food blew me away! Starting off with the pita that was absolutely heavenly and so so soft. The chicken was juicy and smoky with the perfect charred veggies and salad.

Yelp
Great experience both for lunch and dinner. Happy hour is weekly I think 4-6 with great drink and app specials. The service was great both visits and we tried most of the small dishes and the kabob platters and loved everything. They have bread service too which holds you over till food arrives {although most food was super quick} lychee martini was awesome. Also loved the kabob grill for two. We were so stuffed between bread, apps, and entree.

Yelp
I meannnnn I found Truva to be just "ok." I ordered the moussaka WITHOUT mushrooms and the waitress told me that it can't be done because the moussaka is made a day or two in advance. That personally threw me off because it just solidifies that the food is not made fresh/ready to order. That might not be a problem for others but for me I didn't like the idea of eating 2 day old, heated-up food. So, I settled for a basic salad. I wouldn't swear off the restaurant I'll come back and order something different. There's many other items on the menu worth trying out and I can't wait to do so! I'll be back Truva FYI: you gotta pay for parking in the lot after 5pm or pay for street parking.

Yelp
I may want to try Truva again, but my friend and I were underwhelmed by our visit this evening. We split three plates between the two of us - the baba ghanoush, the mini lahmacun, and the zucchini pancakes. Bread comes to the table automatically. My favorite was the bread - so fresh and light! Everything else was so-so. The zucchini pancakes were lukewarm but flavorful. The baba ghanoush was pretty good but a slightly different flavor than I'm used to in baba ghanoush. The mini lahmacun was more like a taco than a flatbread. They were much lighter than I expected and not much meat. We didn't get drinks or other entrees, so maybe I need to give it another shot. Service was pretty good although not overly friendly. It is definitely a cute place with a nice porch.

Yelp
My wife and I were visiting the city for the weekend and with so many choices we are glad we found Truva! The service was great and the food was even better. I highly recommend if you are looking to go out with friends or a loved one.

Yelp
The food is excellent! We had a variety of appetizers: stuffed grape leaves, grilled cauliflower, falafel, octopus, and beets. They were all great, however, the beets with burratta and the octopus were tops! The mixed grill was fabulous! The white flan was extraordinary. The cocktails were well prepared. The waiter was helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a table outside in this beautiful autumn weather (warmer than usual). I will definitely go back with my friends and family!

Yelp
I went to Truva with a group of seven people to do a joint birthday celebration with a friend. We all loved the cocktails and food. I ordered the espresso martini and would order it again! Most of us ordered kebabs, and they were seasoned /cooked perfectly. Also, order the cheese rolls! They are unbelievable! A friend made a cake and the servers/restaurant were so accommodating. They kept the cake in their fridge, cut it, lit the candles, and sang happy birthday. Truva is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.

Yelp
Where do I begin??? My friend and I came here for an impromptu lunch and we were really looking forward to it because we both enjoy Mediterranean and Turkish food. The experience we got was pretty weird and could've been easily avoided. We enter into the spot, it's pretty empty, and I realize immediately that either half of the stuff is training, or they are understaffed because when it's quiet and nobody is in the restaurant and you only have about 5 to 7 customers, there's no reason why I should be sitting down at my table for over 20 minutes with no one coming to the table and asked me if I want water. The man in the blue shirt was on his phone, and when we asked him if he was our waiter, if we could put in drink orders, he got the attention of the woman at the bar - I'm guessing taking orders wasn't his job? Either way, she was in the middle of a task, and asked for him to give her a minute. Naturally, that made sense. When we finally got our drink orders in, my friend and I both ordered this cocktail that had Prosecco, and blueberries. I watched as someone made the drink, and then proceeded to pour flat club soda in it, and seeing as club soda wasn't one of the ingredients on the list for the cocktail... I knew immediately that I wasn't going to enjoy it. He brought over the cocktails, we tasted it, and of course it was disgusting. It had no flavor, and it was disappointing, as I had watched him muddle the blueberries. I didn't quite taste any of that, we only could taste the coconut rum and the club soda. So that was disappointing. We sent those back, my friend and asked for a Apperal spritzer, that has Campari in it, and I got a Truva Cosmo. The Cosmo went over well, but the spritzer did not taste good at all so she ended up settling with a white wine. My friend ordered a chicken salad, which she said was okay, and o ordered the Branzino. The fish was the highlight of our time there. It was not over cooked, great flavor, and fishy but not in a negative way. Now. When I asked for some fresh cracked salt and pepper - I had seen them in the window across the restaurant- our server said she's bring them over. She disappeared and we didn't see her for another 15 minutes. Again. Keep in mind the restaurant is empty. I almost walked across the way and got them myself, but someone offered to bring me salt and pepper, the shakers were held up with some condensation so they didn't quite work. When we finally saw our waitress again, I asked for the s&p grinders and she realized she had forgotten. Granted, she did apologize repeatedly for forgetting that, along with the butter we asked for in the beginning of the meal that we never received for the bread. I think she was just having a hectic day, and that's okay. The man who made the drinks came over at the end, asked us what was wrong with the drinks. In an effort to be nice we simply stated that we didn't quite like them. But he pushed, wanted specifics, so we told him what we thought. I don't think he appreciated our honesty, because he looked genuinely confused. I did notice that he was teaching someone how to make the first cocktail, and I saw he took care in making it, but it just wasn't very good in our opinion. Maybe he was offended? I'm not sure. But we tried to be honest and respectful. I won't be returning here, unfortunately.

Yelp
Food was outstanding but the service was a little off. The server had a couple of big tables, so they must have sucked up all of his time. But I will be back as the service was excellent last time.

Yelp
Really great experience at Truva. Ample street parking (metered) available nearby so that's not a hassle. The staff was very friendly and always made sure to check on us. The complimentary bread was a nice surprise. I mean who doesn't like free bread? It came with a great olive oil - sun-dried tomato dipping sauce. The zucchini pancake and Shakshuka were delightful. Cooked and seasoned well. Solid portion size on both. There is a lot on the menu here that warrants further exploration. I'm looking forward to returning!

Yelp
This restaurant was so great. My friends came here once a few months ago and were raving about it so I decided I need to see for myself. I loved it so much. The customer service was great and the food was amazing. I got the seasoned lamb which came with rice, a roasted tomato, and salad. It was so favorable! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Grabbed brunch here with friends over the weekend and let's just say we all left very satisfied. I believe we ordered about 25 items off the menu. Service No complaints! Our waitress Jasmine was wonderful and the staff were all very attentive. Drinks It was my first time having Turkish tea so I didn't know what to expect, and I'm glad I tried it. Jasmine also created a nice hot drink made of apple cider, apple branch, and cinnamon stick. Top Appetizers We tried several appetizers and here a list of some of our favorites. Baba ganoush Burrata and Beets Cheese and Hummus Tabbouleh If you order a lot of appetizers don't forget to request additional veggies and bread. Main Entrees At this point we had tried so many great appetizers, that many of us nibbled on our main entrees and grabbed a to go box. I ordered the salmon and it was well seasoned and not over cooked. I will definitely make a return visit soon!
