Tso Chinese Takeout & Delivery

It’s fine. Just fine. Literally what I’d expect if I ordered Chinese in an airport or grocery chain fast food-type place. Nothing super objectionable, but nothing stood out. Our “mild” ordered dish tasted EXACTLY the same as our “spicy” dish, both of which I’d judge as “mild.” Food was not particularly warm, temperature wise, but not cold, when I got it home ten minutes later. Just okay. We ate it and none of the three of us fully hated it. Just didn’t love it. Would eat in a pinch but wouldn’t choose.

I ordered orange tofu medium spicy and paid extra for broccoli. The tofu hardly had any seasoning at all, even the orange flavor. And definitely no spice at all. And is that even one floret in the container? Disappointed because the menu sounds good but what arrived did not meet my expectations.

Perfectly serviceable delivery as long as you don't order something with too many vegetables. I used to think they were intentionally cooking their peppers, onions, and broccoli less than I'd prefer, since they were still edible, just not quite to my taste. But today, I ordered eggplant tofu, and the eggplant was raw in the middle. No one eats eggplant that way, so now I'm pretty sure they just don't know how to cook vegetables.

There were some initial problems with my order upon delivery which caused me a lot of frustration. But, Tso really worked hard to resolve the problem very quickly and had a fresh order sent right away. It was my first time ordering from them- the food was delicious 😋

absolutely love tso! my go to for delivery. always quick, efficient, food always comes out correct. the egg noodles are my absolute favorite, sometimes we’ll order just a bunch of those they’re that good. staff is always friendly & kind. would highly recommend

Would not eat here again. We did takeout. I feel like the food is overpriced for the quality and serving size. We had veggie spring rolls, blue crab Rangoon, Bang bang shrimp bowl and Mongolian beef bowl w/mushrooms. The spring rolls was the only thing we really enjoyed. Both bowls did not have enough sauce or flavor. The food was very bland. The food was not hot and the beef was kinda chewy. I do not recommend eating here.

Sesame tofu was rubber like chewing an old rain boot. The photo is what I was unable to eat. Not very much Sesame flavor either.

I don't like to leave negative reviews but this place should come with a warning. I ordered General Tso's and Orange Chicken from here (delivery). The chicken tasted old - you can tell when the chicken thighs used are getting old. Some pieces were hard and inedible. And overall the sauces had a bad sour taste. And the fried rice was just white rice with a couple of mixed veggies in it. I've attached a picture here to show that I did receive a delivery from them as well as my order. The only bright side is I shared my experience with Uber Eats and received a refund. Please take this review as advice to do better.

Most Chinese around this area is too greasy or all tastes the same. Tso is an exception. Good variety. Fresh ingredients. Ability to customize the heat of many dishes. Plenty of vegetarian choices. They are my delivery or take-out go-to when I get a hankering for Chinese food.

Ordered general tso tofu, and egg fried rice combo chicken seafood beef. Both spicy The general was sweet and watery, not like any thing I ever had. I did not finish, as It was that bad! The egg fried rice had a funky smell to it, we felt sketched out, so also did not finish... This is definitely the first and last time.

The delivery came to my hotel room door on time, which was the only thing that earned them the 1-star. But the bag of food has NO and utensils nor napkins. Fine--I could go and find a fork, then I realized when I finally got to eat that this drunken Tofu was HORRIBLE...they used the wrong noodles and the wrong seasoning. I wanted to say it was disgusting, but I can settle with very terrible. How did they call that drunken noodles I will never know.

Although Tso is great I've e noticed they have significantly cut back on the portion size, but definitely no cut back in price. I guess all good things come to an end. Tso if you're going to cut back significantly on your portions then maybe you should cut back on your prices also. Js

Pretty good food, and a great place to go to for honey walnut shrimp and crab rangoons! I would definitely get both of those again. Whereas the eggplant chicken was okay simply because I feel like there wasn't much chicken. It was mostly filler vegetables like bell peppers and onions. The drunken noodles were pretty decent too but it wasn't anything too special. It's a little hard/annoying to order in through the website because it won't let you choose the 2 of the same appetizer for catering. But if you just email your order in to the restaurant, they're really good about answering in a reasonable time. Im also not the biggest fan of the position sizing in the family meal for 20. If you have 20 people, one order of crab rangoons only feeds 12. But order two portions, and most people only get one crab rangoon, plus you're out of space for any other appetizers. I think it'd be easier to just have one order include 20 rangoons so that everyone can have one, and then your other appetizer option is still open, and just raise the price of the catering by a little. Not the most important thing, but I feel like Tso's is mostly known for their crab rangoons so this was a little annoying.

I ordered takeout on Monday night and got two orders of the Drunken beef noodles and an order of the veggie spring rolls. I had low expectations since I knew this was definitely Americanized Chinese food, but my partner and I were still very disappointed with the food we received. One order of the drunken beef noodles came with tons of noodles and only 5 pieces of beef. The other order of the noodles came with a ton of beef and almost no noodles. It felt like we received the last scraps of the night. The flavor was okay..but the beef was very low-quality meat and super dry. The veggie spring rolls were meh. There wasn't a ton of flavor and we needed to dunk them in the sauce.

Timely and reliable delivery. LOTS of food worth the money! The tofu drunken noodles were delicious, I find a lot of places I have to dump siracha on the noodles to get the spice I like but the noodles had a lot of flavor. Will be my go to Chinese takeout.

Food : basic taste, kung pao tastes like orange chicken.... To modern of a idea for regular people....they are trying to cut costz to the point....i seen two mexican guys cooking and two people sitting.....that work there......pretty simple idea...but its not for me

We have ordered food delivery from Tso a handful of times over the last year or so. It's quick, easy, yummy and cost effective! They drop the food at our door and we get timely text updates on status. The only downside is you can't customize the meals to remove anything. I don't eat bell peppers and there are several dishes I would love to try that have bell peppers.

I am wondering how this delivery and takeout has gotten so many 4+ reviews, as the food is mediocre and way too expensive. Szechuan beef was very tough and the sauce was ???? (hard to describe), and Tso's chicken was not Tso's but some mystery sauce. Egg rolls were tiny, soggy and tasteless. Hot and sour soup was neither and egg drop soup was greasy. So the entire order was a gastronomic failure, and I will never be back.

I'm really disappointed with my recent experience. I placed a takeout order in-store, and it was ready in just 2 minutes. After a 5-minute drive home, the egg fried rice was not fresh, and the orange chicken was inconsistent--some pieces were fresh while others were soggy. This was the worst experience I've had, and I won't be returning to TSO.

This not about the food or delivery. I noticed the owners responded to most of the yelp reviews but no one bothered to respond to me. I've been a loyal customer so what's up with that Eunice?

The portions are generous. The food tasted fresh and it was well seasoned. Although the delivery service is separate from the restaurant. Our food arrived hot. The tofu lettuce cups were new to me, very delicious. A must try.

We love the food at this place, but we have had multiple issues with food being delivered to the wrong address. On average it takes about an hour for food to arrive from being ordered (we live 5 minutes from their storefront). They use a third party delivery service and it sucks to say the least. They also will only resend your order if there's an issue and provide a partial credit to use next time you order. So if there's an issue it will take about another hour to get your food and you don't get any refund for the inconvenience. I'd say go pick it up or eat there. Avoid delivery at all cost.

We wanted to try a new Chinese restaurant for dinner tonight, and we tried this place out. This has got to be one of the worst Americanized Chinese food I have ever tried. We got the chicken Lomein, fried rice and wonton soup they all had so much salt. The lomein was very oily and they put so much red bell peppers it took the taste of the whole lomein. The fried rice was no flavor just salt. I am disappointed in this place. I've never seen Chinese food like this. We would've been better off having Panda Express. The only thing I liked from my order were the crab rangoons.

We were utterly amazed by the quality of or takeout dinner order in Houston! Surpasses PF Changs and other high end restaurants for about half the price. Gosh I wish that we had taken pictures. We ate our meal in the lobby of our hotel, the nearby Marriott. We had recommended dishes: BBQ pork fried rice with big tender juicy pieces of pork, Chinese broccoli in garlic wine, and beef pad Thai. So so good! We placed our order by phone and my husband left to pick up the order - 5 minutes away. He couldn't believe what a tiny place it was, but king and clean with chefs presumably at each station because our order was ready when he arrived! The food was fragrant and still piping hot and so fresh. It's probably the #1 reason I'd return to Houston! Of course, our clients are up there as another reason, lol. My only question is do they deliver to central Floria? we need them here!

This place is not what you think it is. I eat a lot of Asian food and this is probably the most disappointing I've had all year. The food was bland and over priced. I never eat Panda Express, but I know that it would've been twice as good and half the price there.

After 10+ visits since my first five star review, I wanted to give an update. (The drunken noodles brainwashed me yet again) Tso's still rocks!!! The food is delicious The drivers are quick and friendly And they still have a no tipping policy (It's nice knowing you don't have to worry about what is the 'right' amount :) !)

First time ordering from here and I was impressed. First, there's no delivery fee. Second, the food was still hot when it arrived and the online tracker for delivery was a nice touch. I had the sesame chicken and the sauce was very flavorful and just enough spice for mild. Chicken was tender and moist. Egg noodles were cooked to perfection.

Wonton soup is weird non clear broth smells like vinegar couldn't eat, wife didn't like hers either, was relatively surprised with the high reviews. Just didn't like as much as others. The crab rangoons were pretty great though. Fast and nice staff.

After so much barbecue I was so excited to try my favorite cuisine. Sadly, I was a bit disappointed with the food. I ordered delivery and they were very fast and friendly. I will also note that the blue crab Rangoon's were delicious. However, the orange chicken was hard and not very tasty. I was conflicted with the drunken beef noodles because the beef had a lot of fat on it and it was crunchy, but noodles were really good, they were fantastic. I would say they definitely need to work on their meat, but other than that they place was okay.

The Chinese food was made in 15 minutes for my pick up and was nice and hot. I got the blue crab rangoons and the broccoli beef and I was blown away! It was super tasty and I would for sure order takeout again and even try delivery. I loved the no tipping policy it's nice to know the employees get paid well and I don't have to spend any extra money haha!

My wife ordered from this place for the first time online. As all the other reviewers point out, this is a pick up and to go outfit. So she brings it home, I lay it all out on the table and it looks very good. So I start in on the beef and broccoli, and the carrots and broccoli are virtually raw and uncooked. I don't mind al dente, but they were just plain raw. The hot and sour soup and the fried egg rolls were OK, but not at all memorable. The same could be said about the potstickers. Overall the meal was somewhat decent, but for a $50 price tag, it really should've been better, so I don't think we'll be back.

I've lost count the number of times my household has ordered from Tso's, so clearly this review is long overdue! Tso's is our go to whenever we don't want to drive anywhere and need our takeout fix, or whenever we have company over and want food we know that will consistently be delicious and quick to arrive. Delivery has always been prompt, no delivery charge and no tipping policy (which they must pay their drivers well to maintain this), food is always consistently great and portion sizes are typically large enough for leftovers. Our favorites have always been the drunken beef noodles, combination fried rice, and the rangoons. Seriously, those rangoons are yummy. Far far better than Panda Express, and free delivery at your door? What is there not to love?! Support Tso's and order from them ASAP!

Got delivery here twice. They have the best crab cheese wontons I've ever had. There noodle sides 3.5/5 (fiancé says 4.5/5 because he likes no veggies and onions) There side of fried rice tastes almost exactly how I make mine with fewer veggies 4.5/5 Sesame chicken 5/5 amazing quality chicken pieces and sauce is perfect. Orange Chicken 3.5/5 more actual orange flavor than I'm used to so it's a little to tart but still good. Amazing quality chicken. Pan fried dumplings 4.5/5 so good and crispy and the sauce is perfectly garlicky. Sometimes the delivery wait is long but everything comes out perfectly and the stress of not pre tipping or finding cash to tip the driver is nice. I respect the business model and this will be our Chinese American food place from here on out. We love it and think it's worth the money for quality, taste, and convenience. Also I like that they ethically pay their employees. They do not do very many customizations though so be aware of that!

I discovered Tso when looking for some easy Chinese takeout and delivery, and I was impressed by their menu and reasonable prices with no delivery fee or tipping policy. We ordered just before 6pm on a Thursday night and it was delivered by 7:15pm (I recommend ordering about an hour out from when you plan to actually eat to allow time for the order to be made, packaged, and delivered). We ordered their delicious crab meat rangoons that have actual crab meat in them (rare; it's usually imitation crab or just cream cheese), potstickers, and two entrees. Overall, it was a pretty seamless process from ordering online to delivery. I really like the delivery tracking system they have that shows live updates from the delivery driver! Overall, we really enjoyed the food and would definitely order again. Especially for those crab rangoons - the best I've ever had. Food ratings: - Crab rangoons (5/5): Amazing. Pricy for what you get ($8 for 4 count), but worth it. 4 fat little puffs filled with crab meat and cream cheese and bursting with flavor and comfort. The best I've ever had! - Potstickers (3/5): These were good. Basic, nothing extraordinary. Very crispy. - Honey walnut shrimp (3/5): Better than Panda Express. A little bit too watery in the sauce, but overall flavor was good. - Drunken noodles w/beef (4/5): These were yummy and the portion was generous. Needed a bit more soy sauce or salt if we're being picky. Noodles seemed slightly over cooked/too squishy and not chewy enough, but the beef was incredibly tender and the dish was super flavorful!

The delivery fee is built into the price of the food. You don't save money by picking up. If you made the dumb mistake I did and try to drive to this place to save a few bucks, A. you're not saving money and B. it's almost impossible to find. It's next to Mattress Firm and Concentra Urgent Care. My favorite items on the menu are the crab rangoons and pork fried rice. The food is salty and satisfying. It is quite oily and American Chinese style. It's nice to see that they have added new items like mapo tofu and Chinese broccoli. Maybe I'll try those next time. The price is a bit high but I think the ingredients are quality and I like that they pay their drivers a flat rate and eliminate tipping. It's also addictively easy to order online and pay with Apple Pay!

I ordered takeout through an app, and omg. TASTY, TASTY, TASTY! It was sooooo good. The bang bang shrimp had me melting. The sauce is outstanding.

The Good: :: it's a local business! :: they don't charge for delivery and they don't accept tip. I take this to be that they pay their employees quite well and don't need all this extra nonsense, as they bake it into their operating expenses and prices for food. love it. :: their delivery is always prompt and friendly, and their cars are clearly marked who they work for :: easy to order on their online system :: they have a ton of locations to serve Austin in different neighborhoods :: food is good and reliable. you won't go wrong ordering any of your favorite Chinese staples. try their soups (e.g., egg drop), char siu bbq pork fried rice, and vegetable shrimp stir fry! The Bad: :: they have Westernized Chinese food. while that may not be a problem for some, it may be for others. i get food from here when i have that craving, but when i want the more authentic stuff, i go elsewhere. bear in mind and rate accordingly! The Ugly: :: none Would I go back? Sure, when I get that hankering for Westernized Chinese food, it's on my list of places to-go. You won't be blown away but you also won't be disappointed or grossed out. This place is IN.

To be honest, I was looking forward to this restaurant due to the high marks from the yelp reviews but it didn't impress me. The food is super expensive and the taste is just ok. The portions are reasonable but nowhere near what you would expect for the price. I ordered $72 worth of food and asked for utensils and they didn't include them. They also only gave me 1 fortune cookie for all the meals I ordered. That was really cheap of them. However, if your craving cheese food it's not terrible and there's no delivery charge so that's a plus. The delivery was also pretty quick because my food arrived before the ETA. Not to mention, the ordering process is easy since it was all done on my phone through their app. Would I order from here again? No but that's just me. Maybe New York has spoiled me with good Chinese food and Pizza so my expectations are unreasonable for other states. (Shrugs shoulders)

We have been ordering from TSO for several years and are happy with their food. If there's an issue, they willingly and readily rectify it. One time recently, we noticed that the broccoli in the Veggie Delight seemed quite uncooked. TSO promptly replaced the dish (at no charge)! Good food, great customer service!

We've been ordering from Tso for Christmas Eve dinner for more years than I can remember and they never fail to disappoint. I'm thrilled that they've added Bang Bang Shrimp to the regular menu. Another recent edition is smaller sized bowls. Not just for holidays - with two working parents and kids' schedules packed with extracurricular activities, a reliable dinner delivery is a sanity saver. Consistently good. Delivery can be slow on busy nights, but plan ahead and you won't be disappointed. When in doubt, we almost always go with Tso for a dinner that pleases the whole family.

Food was bland, unseasoned, and overall not tasty. Save your money and go elsewhere. Even Panda Express would've been more satisfying.

I really wanted to like TSO, but our experience was just ok. We ordered Drunken noodles with tofu, Hunan chicken and sides of noodles and rice. Drunken noodles- it's either beef or tofu, no option of chicken or rice, we don't eat beef, so only option was tofu, it tasted more like a Chinese dish than Thai, bit greasy, tofu was tasteless, noodles tasted good, overall it's a solid 4star. Hunan chicken- frankly I don't think it deserves any stars at all, it had a consistency of soup, way too watery, bland, tasteless, more like Huy Fong chilli paste diluted in water, the only thing we tasted was raw chilli paste(spicy), it's supposed to be Hunan chicken but it was Hunan vegetable( picture attached), there was hardly any chicken. I recommend Drunken noodles but not the Hunan chicken!

On this chilly and blustery Austin-in-December night, some Chinese delivery was absolutely called for, so Hubby pulled up Yelp to order our go to, Dr. Wok, but, alas! Closed on Mondays now! This turned out to be a happy problem to have run into, though! (Cover your ears, Dr. Wok!) It's been a hot minute since I've searched for a new Chinese delivery spot near our neighborhood, so off I went, and I ran straight into Tso Chinese Delivery. We're ordering, as I type, so I'll report back when it has arrived, and it has been tasted. Color me hopeful, though! (Ordered at 5:50pm) (Arrived at 6:53pm) Okay, so this delivery took over an hour, obviously, but we'll definitely cut them lots of slack because of COVID and because of them being 6.4 miles away. No judgement! This culinary relationship is new! What we ordered: Spicy Garlic Soy Edamame, Hunan Chicken, Drunken Beef Noodle, and Large Wonton Noodle Soup Our thoughts: The Garlic Edamame - The flavor was yummy, but it was saucy. We were expecting pan-fried-ish! Hunan Chicken - Hubs LOVED it! It had the perfect amount of sweet heat! A definite re-order!! Drunken Beef Noodle - This was STUPID good! I ordered it to take to work for lunch tomorrow, but my husband is definitely side-eyeing me. Lol! He wants more bites, and I don't blame him! Don't touch, I say! Well, maybe one! Large Wonton Noodle Soup - This soup had all of the warm belly needs that you could want! True potential to be one of the go to soups of the ages! Wonton, noodles, shrimp, and chicken, along with fresh veggies! VERY generously packed with delights! My only issue was that, to my palate, the broth tasted pretty strongly of hay. My husband, with his child-like palate (his wording! Not mine! Haha!), didn't detect it, but he also makes fun of what I consider to be a fantastic Top Chef-style palate o' mine. LOL! Even after he doctored it up with the included chili oil and soy sauce, I could still taste our midnight horseback ride in Sedona three summers ago. This should take nothing away from the artistry and generosity of this soup, but, on this point, I do give the deep simplicity of Dr. Wok's Wonton Soup the win! Alfalfa sprouts are not my jam, or so it seems. So, our final thoughts on Tso Chinese Delivery are these: We're definitely interested in what else they have to offer! Their menu is super-interesting, we love their community involvement and their menu creativity! It just may take a spell or two to exorcise the Dr. Wok demon in our Chinese delivery expectations! Still, Drunken Beef Noodle for the win, all day long!

Delicious!!! Really enjoyed dinner tonight. Thank you Tso for delivering on flavor all the way. We had the COLLAB 600 degree pizza crab rangoon and it was the perfect combination of creamy, crunchy goodness. The food was hot on arrival and satisfying for the family of 5. Can't wait to order again.

Quick, friendly delivery. Food temp great, flavor delicious, servings generous. Had the tofu lettuce wraps-oh so good. And crab rangoon-yummy. And fried rice & vegie spring rolls-tasty. Really like the opportunity to add in a little extra $ for food bank.

the online app is so easy. they keep you informed the whole way. they have another app that shows you how far the delivery car is. they tell you when they arrive, so easy! the bang bang shrimp was delicious. i ordered it three days in a row! Enjoy!

Ordered several times and the food has always been fantastic. Definitely recommend the sweet walnut AND the salt/pepper shrimp...both are delicious!

Meh. I've had better chinese. The "Blue Crab Rangoons" don't use blue crab..it's imitation crab. I was excited for these, but very let down. Ordered the Szechuan Beef too and it was okay. $26 for mediocre Chinese food.

Delivery driver didn't even knock on the door but called me several times leaving voicemails cussing at me to "open my f-ing door." I reported him immediately but beware - in this day and age you'd expect delivery service to be pretty standard quality, but this was the worst, most bizarre experience I've had. I even left a note on the door asking the driver to leave the food at the door ... none of this was necessary. Completely ruined our night. Tso offered a $15 credit but I'd rather know other people don't have the same experience and have to worry.

I'm highly shocked by the quality of food you get considering the cost. After being burned by other Chinese takeout places in terms of cost and quality, I took a gamble on Tso's and LOVED it. The crab puffs/Rangoons really stand out for the amount of filling you get... They're pretty fantastic. There was no charge for delivery, plus they have a no tip policy, so the price you see is the price you pay, and it's a darn good price.

Sooooo good! The fried rice is delicious, all the ingredients taste fresh, crispy carrots green onions, not soggy. Bbq pork is tender Pork belly is juicy Sesame balls are yummy My fave is the fried rice

I've ordered from their other location numerous times and it's always worked out to be quick delivery and good food and this location didn't disappoint. No issues food was hot and seemed fresh even though I question it because it seems it's made in advance then labeled what's in it then goes out as ordered.
