Amazing Sushi and Margaritas at Tsukiji Sushi! I recently visited Tsukiji Sushi with family in town, and it exceeded all of our expectations! The sushi was fresh and flavorful, and we were blown away by the amazing margaritas—some of the best we’ve ever had. Even though it was a busy Saturday, the customer service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and gave us excellent recommendations that really enhanced our dining experience. Whether you’re a sushi lover or just looking for a great night out, Tsukiji Sushi is a must-visit. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back!

Although it was my first time here and I'm not usually a fan of Latina cuisine or sushi, I decided to celebrate my birthday at this place. Oh my goodness! I absolutely loved it! Everything was delicious, and the drinks were fantastic! It turned out to be the best birthday experience. The owner and her husband were very sweet.

The owner Jessie and her husband are the nicest people. The hospitality and serivce was so amazing. The food was great, we got the mangonada & the rumba sushi rolls. Definitely coming back again. Margaritas amazing too! I recommend coming from 5-6 because happy hour, only $10 for amazing drinks.

Definitely coming back. My friend and I started with happy hour and got ourselves a Jamaica and dragon fruit margaritas and they were sooo good and refreshing! Had their spicy edamame which were so addicting. Our waitress was very attentive and asked us what type of sushi we liked which was awesome so we did go with the Guacamole fusion which was full of fantastic flavors and then we went ahead with the Tokio roll and it was just also really good and very fulfilling. The music was really good too so it was definitely a vibe. Can’t wait to go again.

Food: we got the lobster wontons, ocean, jalapeño, and Santana. They have lots of drink selections as well with the syrups being house made. The mango and strawberry margarita with tajin rib was really good, it was sweet and tangy. The lobster wonton had real chunks of meat blended with the filling which was creamy and delicious. The ocean heart was good with the chili oil on top to take away the flavors. However, the Santana was rather underwhelming, and it was bland. Even with the eel sauce, it couldn’t really fix the flavor. I would come back here again to try the other items in the menu. Service: the service was great, very bubbly personalities and making sure that we had a great first experience Ambiance: it’s a fusion restaurant between Latin culture and Japanese giving that sleek modern design perfect for a first date. It gives a very low light ambience, with Latin music to vibe against with. Location accommodation: they do have outside seating but very limited. They also take reservations and parking is on the side streets.

The owners are fantastic, but we keep coming back for the incredible food and drinks! My favorites are the Tokio roll and the hibiscus margarita—both are outstanding! And I can't forget the lobster wontons; they're simply delicious!

I had the best experience. Jesse was amazing and the food was to dream for! The margaritas are a MUST. The miso soup is 1000/10 same as everything on the menu. I highly recommend. I will 100% come back and bring everyone! I appreciate the amazing service and i am so grateful that we found this beautiful place!

We are semi sushi eaters lol which means we eat anything tempura based. We decided to try out this restaurant for a late night dinner. We ordered strawberry / mango mocktails which were very tasty. The lobster wontons were AMAZING! You could literally eat this as a meal, just make to order at least 3 orders of them. We ordered 3 different types of sushi. The Tropical wasn’t bad, I love plantain but I thought it would be a fried piece in the middle. However it was a large piece wrapped around and it was more riper than I prefer. There wasn’t enough shrimp to offset the large amount of plantain for me. It wasn’t bad but this would be a great vegetarian option if modified. The Tokio was great and well put together. The crunch was perfect, we preferred a little more spice but that’s just us. Lastly was the calamari roll. We were hesitant about the fish eggs but they didn’t change the dish in a major way (remember we are fake sushi people lol). It was very light like a California roll with the right amount of kick. Awesome experience and would definitely recommend.

Fun spot we found while on vacation in Chicago. We didn't have a reservation so did have to wait 15-20min. It's a smaller restaurant so not as much seating. They have some unique rolls. We enjoyed everything. It was very filling. Especially the chicken udon. Good flavor. Wish we had a microwave in the room for leftovers. The sushi menu has some regular favorites, but also a few unique fusion rolls. I can't remember which one this is but had a shrimp tempura base which I usually prefer a non fried roll. There were too many options to pick from and think I just picked something. Would go back if I were in the area again. The ramen also looked solid.

I've been wanting to try this spot after seeing a lot of social media posts and came during happy hour. The margaritas were too sweet, and the food items on happy hour were no difference in price. I also was charged extra for a spicy margarita. The lobster wontons were tasty with nice chunks of lobster inside. The rumba roll was interesting and weirdly sweet because of the fried plantain- I honestly wouldn't order this again. The salmon ikebukuro was fresh and delicious. Service was great and friendly. Interesting fusion concept!

Delicious sushi and Japanese food with a Mexican twist! The couple who own this place are awesome-- come support a local business! To start, our table shared the yellowtail jalapeño and Hawaiian poke appetizers. Both were delicious! The yellowtail was the perfect amount of spicy and I loved the crunchy wonton chips with the tuna poke. We shared three sushi rolls for our main course-- the lime fusion, creamy scallop, and escolar jalapeño. The lime fusion roll is a must try. The lime zest topping the roll makes the freshness of the fish pop. All three rolls were flavorful and I'd order everything we tried again. I also had a guava margarita. I loved the tajin rim and large portion on this. They have cute outdoor seating in the summer and a fun indoor area for when the weather isn't as nice. Service here is good and it's obvious that the owners truly care and are passionate about their food.

My daughter took me to dinner for my B-day. When I say I've turned over a new leaf, I did just that! When I experienced sushi years ago, it was raw. Never did I look back until Tsukiji. Service was amazing , and the food was great, and the margaritas, all I can say, Bang, Bang, Bang! The music and lightning were perfect.

I had heard good things about Tsukiji so I was excited to try. The service was friendly although very dismissive to our concerns and the interior was clean and nicely decorated , and unfortunately I was disappointed overall. I ordered the Matsu Sashimi which was $36 for 9 slices of sushi, which is expensive for the value in and of itself. It came with miso soup and a bowl of rice. Even though we came with a party of 5 people, and the receipt indicated that a 20% gratuity was charged for parties 6+, we were still each charged the 20% fee and they would not remove it even after I asked. The ginger it came with tasted a little milduey/sour in a way that it shouldn't have. The miso soup was definitely overly salted. My friends ordered two salmon avocado rolls, and you could clearly see that one of the rolls had significantly more salmon while the other had a lot more rice. This was disappointing. We notified the server and he just told us he'd let the chef know but we never heard back. The fish was of okay quality, I definitely think there is better elsewhere. I definitely wouldn't come again, I think there are much better sushi places in the area with much better value.

Delicious Margaritas! They taste natural and come in a cute cup. I had the mango and it was very good. We also ordered lobster wontons that were delicious they do have a strong lobster flavor so I'm assuming it was made with real lobster. I ordered the santana roll which was super good!! I think the salmon on top is torched or something but it gave it an amazing flavor. Tasted super fresh and delicious. I will say the pieces are a little small for it being 21 dollars but the quality of the sushi was great. The lobster Wontons I felt were well priced. The service was friendly and helpful and when we went it was a lil busy so the sushi took a little bit to come out. Will definitely come back!

Two words: Sooooooo good!!! The sushi was great.. but, you must try the ramen!! If you can, go during happy hour for the $10 margaritas!! Everything was Chef's kiss!!

My first time here, I found this place on google and I'm glad we came. Jessie is a butterfly that has a beautiful spirit her and her husband Sam were awesome. The sushi was delicious. Very welcoming place! Definitely coming back

Customer service is seriously lacking here. We arrived for a reservation for 2 and it took quite a bit of time for the waitress to come take our order, when she finally arrived she took our drink and appetizer order but refused to take our entree order. Considering we were there for 20 minutes we would expect to be able to put in our entire order. The appetizer came before she brought our drinks and we waited another 30 minutes to put in our 2 roll entree order. We waited another 45 minutes for the rolls. There seems to be an issue on how they flow their service here based on the other reviews talking about service delays. Why would you not take a parties full order knowing that you are about to hit a dinner rush? I'm not sure what type of service method they are trying to execute here but clearly they are lacking a consistent approach. All-in-all we spent almost 2 hours here for 1 appetizer and 2 rolls. Considering the rising cost of doing business you'd think the owner would implement some sort of urgency to turn tables. Imagine how many more guest they could accommodate if they just got their act together. Being in the West Loop there are so many other options for quality sushi spots you can visit with outstanding service. And by the looks of it the owner does not really care to better their service as seen from their copy/paste responses. Save yourself the headache and walk down the street to Butterfly.

Sushi was good. We had a little bit of everything, and the lobster wontons and daisuki were definitely a hit! The Chicago Blackhawk was interesting because it tasted just like a BLT. The lime fusion wasn't what I was expecting because I was hoping for a more citrus refreshing taste, but doesn't necessarily make it bad. I think the rolls are underwhelming for their price. Service was great! Everyone was so nice and friendly, and the ambiance was so much fun! I think I'd prefer to have a fun girls night for good music and drinks than food.

I think one of my biggest mistakes while visiting this restaurant was not taking pictures. I was so blown away by how incredibly delicious all the food looked and smelled that I completely forgot! As a ramen enthusiast, the first thing I do when visiting a new city is check on local ramen spots. Now, this restaurant serves sushi predominately, but oh my, the tonkotsu ramen was the thing of dreams. The broth had such immense depth to it with robust flavor and creamy richness. One thing that stood out to me was the option to have chicken instead of chasu. I've tried that option at other restaurants and was left wanting; I'd get bland chicken with no seasoning. This chicken however, despite being immersed in broth, had the most tasty, crispy chicken skin. I honestly could have had a serving of the chicken just on its own it was so good!! Now that I am back home in Arizona, I am sad all over again that I tasted the most perfect ramen and it's so far away!!

The crazy roll was so so good and highly recommend the lobster wontons! We also had the lime roll and liked that. Will need to come back to try their margaritas!

Top 3 Sushi restaurants in the City hands down and service to match. From the second you walk in the staff welcomes you, gets you situated and the amazing experience is off and running. From the Unique and delicious rolls, fantastic drink menu (Amazing Spicy Margarita), or the owner (Sam) and his lovely wife, this is a restaurant that you will not regret visiting. My wife and I with our sons drove from the far Northern Suburbs and we couldn't be happier, will definitely be back.

Saw this place on TikTok and thought about trying it. The food and the service were so bad right from the start. We ordered food after about 10 minutes of waiting, no problem, we were patient. Our drinks came out, but not the appetizers. About 45 minutes later, the manager, Jessi came over to our table to acknowledge that they were really busy after and appreciated our patience. Another 30 minutes passed before our sushi came out. That's 1.15 to 1.30 minutes in at this point. The food was awful. The salmon was overcooked in the Chicago Fire roll and the Toki roll was bland and mushy. Oh, my niece's food never came out at all. We asked for the check and to see the manager. It took another 25 minutes for the manger to come over. She was nonchalant and dismissive about our experience. All she could say was "sushi is made to order" as if we didn't know that and "we are really busy". We paid $150 for one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while! The margaritas are the only good thing they have going bc the food and service are not good. I hate I wasted almost 2 hours at a place that was selective about who they paid attention to the entire night. Although they have 4 star ratings, the 1 star ratings are spot on too.

Had an amazing experience. Make sure you try the roll with guac. And a margarita with homemade syrups. 10/10.

I went here with a friend first week of April. I was really excited to try their sushi as they have a fusion of Latin and Japanese. I love the vibe, it's intimate...this is the kind of place you go to catch up with a friend- the service is great...this place reminds me of a dining overseas...no rushing to get you out of there, very patient, explained the menu well.... to be short they treated us like family. The vibe is special here. ok ok the marg's are SO freaking good, the best I ever had.. they make their own syrup and it speaks for it self. We got the Lobster Wontons, Chicago Fire ( literally comes on fire, dope for insta :D) Tropical Roll (I dream of this) The sushi is fantastic, I wasn't sure how Latin influenced sushi was going to work but I can't wait to try the other rolls on the menu. Can't wait to come back! Shoutout to our server, she was so sweet!

My friend and I had dinner here on a weeknight after work. It was definitely buzzing. The music was such a vibe. A lot of Spanish songs. Service was a bit slow but they were nice nonetheless. We started with the fried calamari. It was so delicious. I got the crunchy drago and my friend went with the guacamole fusion. She had some margaritas and really enjoyed them! We were still hungry so we shared the spicy fusion. Once again service was slow so we were there forever. Good sushi though

We started off on a high note - we sat for a while without being acknowledged but the waitress apologized and provided a comped edamame, which was a nice gesture. We ordered the guava and the tamarind margaritas which were huge and delicious. Great flavors but I don't think very strong. $14 each. For rolls we ordered the Haru, the Spicy Fusion, and the Tuna Fusion ( I think it was called). My haru was subpar... just nothing special, my husband said the same about his tuna roll. After sitting for over half an hour without our third roll, we finally asked about it and she brought it right away but a bit ridiculous. I didn't want to eat too much of my current roll bc I was looking forward to it so we kinda just sat... When it came, it was the tastiest of the bunch. I'd say 7.5/10 on that one. We also got the chicken bites which were decent. Nice, light breading. We wanted a little more flavor or spice in the sauce but that may be personal preference. Overall, the waitress was very nice and apologetic but the level of sushi for $20 per roll, we wouldn't come back.

It's a family owned restaurant with lots of choices, even lots of ramen! Here's what we had for our meal: Lobster Wontons Fuufu Enman Gyoza (pan fried vegetable dumplings) Spicy Fusion Sushi roll Guacamole Fusion roll Tonkatsu Ramen (big enough for two) Mochi ice cream They have the biggest margaritas in several different flavors, which are delicious, and a really great strawberry whiskey sour. They also have a separate area in the back that is perfect for private parties and celebrations. Yes, we do agree that they do serve some of the best Sushi in town! We loved everything that we had here! We are already planning our next visit! You've got to go here!Y

I've been wanting to try this sushi spot for awhile now as I've been seeing it pop up on Instagram a bunch... and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! This is a small family owned restaurant, and we were able to meet the owners Jessie & Sam, and they were so nice. I got the mango margarita, which I was told on the sweeter side compared to the other flavors, but I like sweet anyways. But it was probably one of my favorite margaritas I've ever had! Then we got the lobster wontons to start off, the filling was creamy and delicious. After that, we shared the Lime Fusion roll, Chicago Blackhawks roll, and Fat Buddha roll. The lime fusion did have a bit of a kick, but that was probably because of the spicy tuna. I think out of the 3, the Chicago Blackhawks one was my favorite because it had crispy bacon and the flavors just meshed together so well. The service was a little on the slower side, but we weren't really in a rush. Can't wait to be back again!

Scintillating food that will make you go back for more. Tsukiji is the newest addition to the sushi world of Chicago and it has come with a BANG!! Absolutely LOVED IT!! Before talking about the food I need to tell you all about the AMAZING service. The owner and all the staff are so friendly and personable. Such a friendly vibe. Everyone is smiling and so welcoming. The owner Jesse made great recommendations and checked on us often. I like that they have tv monitors , so you can watch a game while dining . About the food, everything we tried was incredible. The Japanese Latin fusion is fantastic. I really liked the unique take and loved the flavor fest in my mouth with each bite. We started with the spicy edamame, miso soup, and lobster wontons. Make sure you ask for the spicy edamame and spicy miso soup. All three apps were excellent and got me ready for the main course. From their signature plates we tried the Guacamole Fusion, Tuna Jalapeño, and Spicy Fusion. OMG OMG they were delicious, we were so full but couldn't stop eating. They have a Fun to Eat section on their menu, and we tried the Ikebukuro that was recommended by the owner. This is a must order. Words can't describe how good it was. We also ordered the Shioyaki Entree (Saba fish). The broiled Saba fish was a 10/10. First time tried Saba fish. It was so fresh and perfectly cooked. Must must try for a seafood lover. Overall a wonderful dining experience. Don't forget to ask for fresh wasabi. You can thank me later. Highly Recommend.

The food was amazing. They have nice happy hoir drink and food specials. Very quaint, family operated. All the food made to order, with many chef creations that are mouth watering. They have Margarettia's made with homemade syrups.

This little broke and mortar , mom and pop sushi place is giving Latin vibes and I'm so here for it ! I just went with my friend and our kids and the owner was so accommodating . My toddler loved the yakisoba noodles with chicken . I had the lime-cilantro tuna roll. We also ordered a lot of appetizers which were all so fresh and delicious. I'm definitely going back for the margaritas ! Go support this cute family business !

MY FAVORITE SUSHI & MARGARITA PLACE!! I cannot rave enough about Tsukiji. It is one of my top favs. The lobster Rangoon and spicy edamame are a must. You cannot go wrong with any of the sushi there because it's all my favorite. For margaritas, do a mango gauva!! You won't regret it. The staff and owners are so so sweet. They really take the time explaining the menu and make you feel so welcomed. The place is always packed, fun and great ambiance.

Best sushi in town!! We ordered the hamachi jalapeno dish to start with, it was fresh & had the perfect kick! Then ordered specialty rolls & classic rolls, all were amazing! The taste, portion size, presentation all 10/10!! You have to try the margarita's, they are delicious!! Highly recommend!

All I can say is WOW! The ambience setting , the hospitality, the food, the drinks were all 10/10. This new hip spot is a must to stop by if you're in the area or not. The sushi taste fresh , and every roll we tried was a winner. This is definitely a perfect date night to take someone. Margaritas taste so flavorful! I believe I got the guava one and it was sweet but nothing over powering . A huge thank you to the owners wife and husband for making my experience that much more memorable . Next time I am back in Chicago this will be a spot I go back to for sure .

We had a wonderful dining experience at Tsukiji last week. Started with the delicious Lobster wontons for appetizer and it just kept getting from there! We tried several different sushi rolls from the menu and I wish I could remember the names of them all. They were all so very fresh and delicious. You know when you're too full to keep eating but everything is so delicious, you just keep eating? Yep, that was us. The best sushi we have ever tried. The service was wonderful as well. Owners Jessica and Sam, and the entire staff were so welcoming. We will definitely be back again soon.

This place right here may have just became my favorite date night sushi spot. I took my wife here as an early mother's day present because she is working tomorrow. The ambiance is great. The service was outstanding. The food was amazing. It was Asian and Latin fusion. I will definitely be back. There is so much more I need to try.

Please go visit!! It's a cute, small and quiet place, perfect for a date or small group. The sushi is amazing. We had the calamari with wasabi Mayo and lobster wontons. The wontons will have you wanting them once a week! Lol I got the Chicago Blackhawks which has bacon, avocado, cream cheese and salmon. Deliciousssss! The owner told us how they make their margarita syrup in house daily, I got the hibiscus mixed with mango. *chefs kiss* I'll be visiting the next time I'm there!

Sushi was really good and the margs were delicious! The only reason I gave them 4 stars was because the service was extremely slow. The owner brought us a free order of edamame which was nice, but in comparison to how expensive the food was + how long we sat there, it didn't really make a big difference. Would return when they're less busy

Overview: If you can get past the initial upselling (Lobster wontons and fruit margaritas) the food here is amazing. Food: The food here is top notch. My recommendation; actually read the menu and order what sounds good to you. We ordered two vegetarian rolls, even though the waiter tried to steer us away from them, and they were incredible. Also, the miso soup is not free, but it amazing (yes, I'm writing a review on the miso soup at a sushi restaurant!) Seriously, it was the best miso soup I've ever had... I actually had to chew (that's a good thing). Ambiance: Hip, very hip.

This is such a sweet neighborhood owned restaurant serving Latin Fusion food. Its owned by a husband and wife team who pair margaritas and sushi. Who doesn't love both of those? The margaritas are all made with fresh juice and the flavors go above the traditional to include tamarind and guava. The sushi brings in Mexican flavors and their signature rolls are both unusual and delicious. Lots of vegetarian options on the menu including a very flavorful plant based ramen with some of the best tofu I have ever had. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Amazing place! Sam & Jesse are incredible owners (husband and wife!) and run the place with comfortability and ease. So unique to have a Latin Japanese fusion restaurant. Sushi with a margarita!? Sign me up!! Highly recommend for a date night, work dinner or anything in between.

We came on a Friday night and didn't have a reservation but we were seated really quickly. The restaurant was packed though so we were lucky to get a seat. For apps we got Spicy Edamame which were cooked perfectly and had a bit of a kick to them. Then we got the Fried Calamari with honey wasabi sauce. It was unique but I probably wouldn't order it again. Lastly we ordered the Lobster Wontons and oh my gosh we couldn't stop talking about how good they were. I've never had a lobster wonton but this was the best thing we ate all night! Gotta eat it right when it comes out though, if you let it sit for a few minutes the sauce that's drizzled on top will make it soggy. For entrees we got the Hamachi Fusion Roll with Yuzu Ponzu sauce and for me the yuzu ponzu was really overpowering and the fish tasted a little too fishy. I wasn't a fan unfortunately. The Kara Miso ramen was good and the noodles were bouncy. The service was really good, different people kept coming by to check on us and fill our waters. This is such a cute date spot! I will have to come back and try more items!

The food here was AHMAZING and so were the margaritas! This is a cozy sushi spot that serves some of the most unique rolls I have had to date such as their roll with bacon in it and their spicy guacamole roll. We also had the lobster wontons and they were sooo good! Now to the service- The service was excellent. We had the opportunity to meet the owner and she was such a fun, bubbly person who takes pride in her establishment and it truly shows through the food, drinks and overall experience. We noticed her walk around and chat with each table which we thought was very nice and honestly makes a difference to the people who visit your establishment. We will be back to try more of their rolls, drinks and also grab a bowl of ramen.

Came here for some Japanese food and the food and drinks were really good. They have some sushi with a Latin influence and they were pretty good. I loved the one that had pieces of bacon and salmon. Their drinks were also really good. All of the food was amazing and the service was really amazing as well. The people were very friendly and were very knowledgable. The restaurant has nice decor and is very classy. The only 2 downsides are that parking sucks and also, the food is pretty pricey. Don't get me wrong, it's good.. but I've never paid that much for what we got. You might pay less at an all you can eat sushi restaurant and eat so much more. If this restaurant was a rooftop or had a really nice view downtown I am sure I'd be one of the bests restaurants in Chicago, but for the price and portion size it wont be my go to but it's deff top 5. Amazing dinner and service by Tsukiji! Went on a whim with my wife as part of Latin Restaurant Weeks and we are glad we did. They did fusion cuisine justice by representing both Asian and Latin influences in both apparent and subtle ways without compromising on any of the flavors from both cultures. Jessie, one of the co-owners, went to extraordinary efforts to provide excellent service and made us feel at home. We appreciated the extra details on how certain plates were prepared or ingredients added to highlight her latina background. A few of the highlights were the decadent lobster wontons (available at a discount if you go in for happy hour), the taco trio that fired on all cylinders (especially the spicy salsa verde that's not for the faint of heart), and the house-special Strawberry Daiquiri that struck a perfect sweet and sour balance. We will definitely be coming back to check out the rest of their menu, and recommend you all do too!

Bit overpriced for a neighborhood Sushi joint. Tuna certainly wasn't as fresh. Don't get the all Margarita menu at a sushi place. Service was good.
