Great Places in Spokane to Eat and Drink

"The most beautiful thing about barbecue is whether you are eating it at a five-star restaurant in a major city or a hole-in-the-wall in the middle of nowhere, there’s always the potential for the meat to be life-changingly good. Co-owner Travis Thosath took his love for brewing beer and smoking meat and proved that exact point. There’s not much in South Spokane Valley, but fork-tender brisket and stacked tri-tip sandwiches covered in chimichurri have not disuaded anyone from spending gas money to get to TT’s." - Kris Kilduff

Husband and I stopped in here on our way through Spokane. We are BBQ connoisseurs- especially have to try the ribs and brisket wherever we go. I can honestly say I haven’t had BBQ this good in a long time. We got a sampler plate and every meat was tender and juicy- not dry and left us ordering more for later!! Staff is kind and helpful and location is very nice. Highly recommend. So glad we stopped by- wish we lived closer-we’d become regulars.

Google
Extremely good beer, extremely good barbecue in a great venue and helpful, kind staff. I'll definitely be returning. The meats were all pretty excellent, but I was super impressed by the turkey. Read that again: the turkey. That's usually the dish someone prepares half-heartedly for the "vegetarians" 😉 The sides were excellent. We loved the chorizo beans and the Mac & cheese was next level.

Google
The burgers here are quite good. They have a smokey flavor that I really liked. The one beer we had was also good -- a solid hazy IPA. Mostly posting so that others can be confident the menu is up to date. We saw recent-seeming photos of BBQ on Google, compared that to this menu on their website, saw "copyright 2016" on the website, and decided maybe the BBQ was newer. In fact, it's not a thing anymore, so you can disregard any reviews about that.

We absolutely love TTs! It’s our favorite bbq joint in town, love the Smokey goodness and always a huge fan of the daily specials. My partner is a big fan of the U-Hi…the turkey they make is seriously some of the best turkey I’ve had in my life. I tend to go with the special and today’s did not disappoint!! The BLTTA was bomb! Love all the turkey and the super thick bacon….and the cheeses corn. Oh man it is my favorite side ever. So creamy and cheesy. Always have a great selection on tap too! We had an extra fun time tonight as they had Singo…and I won! Woo hoo! We will continue coming back time and time again. The food is always consistent and delicious and the staff really shows how much they love what they do and their customers.

Had a great lunch at this place! My husband and I split the Sampler platter with cheesy corn, Mac and cheese, and a slice of cornbread. The meat was fantastic! The ribs were a little dry. But everything else was melt in your good! The cornbread was my favorite side it was very moist and more like corn cake than bread. Yum! The service was great and all the workers seemed happy and helpful! Overall a great place to grab some smoked meat and beer!

Google
Red Kingdom! One of, if not, the best BBQ spot in Spokane. They also brew! With plenty of options and great portions, they do not disappoint. The owner, Travis, is always upbeat and welcoming. He also gets points for being a Kansas City Chiefs fan! While it is available, I recommend grabbing that U-Hi? Sammy. It is so good! I attached a picture, and I have hands the size of a lineman.

Google
If I could give this place zero stars I would first off we ordered a taco salad and a burger and it took 45 minutes to get the meal. My wife paid $16 for a taco salad that came in a to go tin. It was the smallest salad I had ever seen. My burger was overcooked and very very bland. It was supposed to have candied bacon and basically it was tasteless. We thought we would give them one more try and we ordered a pretzel. I think the pretzel was $14 and again there was no taste. I don’t understand how you can ruin a pretzel but they were able to do it. I can’t believe people pay money for this food.

Google
Very good BBQ and their BBQ sauce was great! Mac and Cheese is too gooey velveetaeeee. They were out of the ranch and had no blue cheese for the wedgie salad that was not a wedge salad but on chopped romaine. Beer was good and friendly service.

Yelp
This place has the best bbq I've had in the area! My husband ordered their special burger, and I got a turkey sandwich. Holy cow (or bird?), super delicious! My friend who has gluten allergies was even able to eat there. My son loved their fries, but found the turkey too spicy that particular day. I definitely will come here again!

Yelp
Easily the best food I've had in Spokane. EAT HERE! Pork, brisket, potato salad, mac and cheese, cornbread...all delicious! This place is a must!!
google avatar

Frank L.

Yelp
They don't serve BBQ anymore or any food for that matter, it's beer only now. you can get better beer from a grocery store for 5% of the price that TT is charging. Go to Outlaws BBQ for excellent BBQ AND beer.

Yelp
Great new location in Liberty Lake. Ordered the Sampler with cheesy corn and slaw. The meat was fall off the bone tender. Best chicken I have ever had. Everything was delicious. Had a good variety of drinks too. They gave me a taste before I ordered mine (el Camino beer on tap) Recommend- they have a tangy bbq sauce, hot sauce and a mustard sauce, I am a sweet bbq girl. I am sure I am not the only one. Downfall - so busy there are hardly enough seats. Asked a couple of we could share a table.

Yelp
Today I finally got to give TT's Old Iron Brewery & BBQ a try for lunch (with my brother). The place is clean and the food was delivered quickly. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. The small salad I ordered was perfect and just the right size. The turkey was tasty, but I was a little full from the salad so had to bring it home for later.

Yelp
Quick service and great food. Clean and friendly staff as well. The entire family enjoyed it and hope to return soon.

Yelp
TT's has the best bbq in town- the brisket was tender and full of flavor. I would highly recommend

Yelp
Had their Thanksgiving meal today. So good!!! Everything was amazing and the pickup was very quick and easy. Highly recommend! Made our Thanksgiving very low stress and delicious. Thank you!

Yelp
What a find! I had the sampler and a flight of 4 beers. I def ordered more than I should but enjoyed eating till, and past, I needed to stop. The brisket, the pork and the chicken were top notch and i even enjoyed the spicy sausage. The ribs were good if tough to eat due to the small bones. Def get it again. I got two ipa - a hazy and a double juicy. They were good. I also got a smoked scotch and a black ipa which were....just okay. I would not get them again. I left trying to make plan to order more.

Yelp
We have passed TT's many times but haven't made it in. We made it this time! And this is brewery visit #188 for me. No, not my 188th time in a brewery but the 188th unique brewery I have visited. TT's has a little patio area outside, which was closed today as it's cold. The inside has a big bar with a register to order food at one end. They do BBQ and I was very disappointed as we were in line and I saw an employee writing "Out of brisket until 1:45" on a chalkboard...Damn. Then, lo and behold angels sang as the nice young lady told me she had ONE brisket sandwich left for now. This is my lucky day. For beers I went with a flight of four while waiting for my food. The Coil Box Brown was light in flavor and would go well with BBQ. The Festbier didn't wow me. Nothing wrong with it at all. Mild and perfect for someone just getting into real beer though. Night Rider black IPA is very dark in color predictably and had nice hop aroma and flavor with moderate bitterness. I could drink several of these with no difficulty at all. So-Val Smoked Scotch ale was last in the lineup. Smooth in feel and flavor, and not overly smoky. This is a great Scotch ale. SWPFTD went with Tuckers Torpedo red, which was really good. We decided to have one more pint as we hung out and relaxed and I went with the red as well. Nice malty, caramel beer goodness! Food was very good. I paired my brisket sandwich with a side of cheesy corn. I could feel my arteries hardening as I ate it but it was SO good and completely worth it. TT's was good enough that I picked up a crowler of the red to take gone as well as a t-shirt that says, "Make Pour decisions". Yeah, my kind of place. TT's will be a regular stop for us and if you roll through you should stop and check it out. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you!

Yelp
This place has the best bbq in town. Zero question. Another huge success by chef Chad White. The atmosphere is family friendly. Multiple TVs with sports on. Always during the summer the have a nice big garage door that opens to a patio allowing you you to enjoy summer evenings. I love to come in and try the specials. They are always great. Today was a pork belly Banh Mi sandwich! So tasty and cooked perfect. There is usually 12 to 15 local brews on tap. Some done by brew master Travis and a couple from other local brewers. My only complaint is I don't live close enough to this wonderful local gem

Yelp
This place was a fun stop and the first brewery we went to as we returned to Spokane to try out some breweries I haven't tried before. The pulled pork BBQ sandwich is very good! Very flavorful and makes a great lunch along with the sides you can pick from. The craft beer is very good too! A pretty wide selection of a variety of beers in which some lean on the unusual side which is something I always find exciting! I got their El Camino Mexican Lager which was great and complimented my sandwich pretty well! TT's was an enjoyable stop and a great kick off to a fun trip!

Jeremy S.

Yelp
There were flies everywhere flying around. Sure enough I got a bad stomach ache within 2 hours. I was in the bathroom multiple times. It was either from dirty beer lines or contaminated food. 100% positive it was from eating here. Will never go back.

Yelp
Bbq is just ok. Atmosphere is good. Nothing special. Bbq is my husbands favorite so we've tried most in this area.

CJ R.

Yelp
The service is excellent and the meats melted in my mouth. Which I can truly say is rarely experienced in my bbq adventures. With open and friendly atmosphere. And not to mention great beer.
google avatar

Angela H.

Yelp
The food and service is great! Last time I had the Tri Tip Dip, higher recommend TT's!
google avatar

Yelp
Really good BBQ! Always tender and juicy. Highly recommend. Love their cheesy corn side dish.

Yelp
Delicious food. Friendly service. Great selection of beer. Bartender was really helpful when I was shopping for a gift.

Yelp
Hands down some of the best BBQ we've ever had! Their Turkey was so well cooked and flavorful. The brisket was phenomenal. The pulled pork was a little more on the dry side but still good flavor! The Mac and cheese was cheesy and delicious! Idk what is up with those pickled onions but I've never tasted anything more amazing! I put them on everything! Loved how it was served with good ol white bread just like in the south. It was all delicious and we highly recommend trying it out!
google avatar

Jay C.

Yelp
First time here and it was amazing! Highly encourage anyone looking for high quality food at a good price and awesome atmosphere to eat here. Had a burger I enjoyed the bacon was extra thick and the taste was amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent BBQ! Some of the best I've had. The cornbread was really good (I'm fairly picky about cornbread) and the Mac n cheese was delicious! I had a cider that was on tap (blackberry cider?) and it was sooooo good! I tried this place out while I've been in work training in Spokane on the recommendation of a friend and I'm so glad I did! I'm going back again within a week!

Dan B.

Yelp
Outstanding BBQ and beer. What more do you need?! I spent 20 years in Oklahoma and Kansas City and am pretty particular about my BBQ. I've tried at least 10 bbq places in the Spokane area, and, in my opinion, this is the best BBQ and the only one I would pay for.
google avatar

Randy P.

Yelp
BBQ is good good portions. Beer was tasty and good selection. Due to the current situation going on service is friendly. People are definitely getting out there and trying to get the economy going again.

Marlene G.

Yelp
Just a quick review of the service at tt. Cole Lexi and Kim are great servers. It is a pleasure to see them and have them pour our beer Very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer. Truly an asset

Yelp
TT's was recommended by our friends from Texas as "the best bbq in Spokane!" So of course we had to try it. We started out with some cold beers and were impressed from the start. I recommend their hazy IPA. The nachos were so good and packed with toppings. Both the brisket plate and brisket sandwich were so delicious. The brisket was cooked perfectly with the right amount of fat rendering. It melted in my mouth. I wish I lived in Spokane just so I could eat here every week! To add all this great food was wonderful service with a smile!

Meghan H.

Yelp
Stopped by on our way back home one day and we were so pleasantly surprised by this place! The quality (and quantity) of the food was outstanding plus their beer was excellent as well! Loved that my husband and I were able to share a plate of food and meet both our dietary needs (I have to be very careful about what I consume when eating out). We also very much enjoyed the vibe of the brewery... Very relaxed atmosphere and great service! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great BBQ and their potato and shell max n cheese are incredible sides. They catered for our event.

Yelp

Yelp
Love Beer and BBQ? What better place to go than here? There is a great selection of their beers. From Pales to Stouts and a few guest ciders as well. Delicious barbecue can be found as specials, plates and party amounts. House smoked Brisket, pork, sausage, ribs and turkey breast. Potato salad, corn bread, smoked pintos, Mac and cheese coleslaw and banana pudding as sides. It has a nice dining area and some patio space. Walk to the counter, place your order, take a number and they'll bring it to you along with extra sauces and a roll of paper towel. Because BBQ is messy! We really like this place and have never had anything we didn't eat all of. There are daily specials as well. Today was the tri tip sandwich paired with potato salad and small extras of dill pickles and pickled red onion. I'm pretty sure these are made in house as well. The location makes it feel like you are out of town, but it's just a short drive back to the Highway. Give them a shot, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Yelp
The food here is always great, the staff are pleasant and for bbq the prices are fair! Their Mac and cheese and their banana pudding are beyond incredible and their pickles are a knockout! The only downside I have to mention is that during happy hour my husband was charged full price for his beer and we didn't notice until it was too late. But we've come multiple times and will likely go again! From the outside it looks like a smaller unsuspecting place but inside has ample seating and they have an outdoor dining area as well.

Luke H.

Yelp
AlwAys pretty solid place food wise. Today they were off. Brisket was dry. My daughter was distraught they did not have the spicy sauasage....so please baby Jesus in this resurrection season bring it back. Mac was solid. Tried the carrots to, not my thing. Beer is always just meh. Probably 3.5 today.

Yelp
If you're looking for good BBQ in the valley you gotta try this place. Lots to like here including all your favorites. Brisket, pulled pork, ribs, & more. Sides particularly good here and they are as important as the nest in my book! Prices isn't cheap but you get a pretty fair deal.

David T.

Yelp
I rarely go out to eat, because I like cooking; but every few years I look for bbq place around me, just to check the landscape. I purchased the 2 meat platter, brisket and sausage. As someone who grew up in Texas, I loved good smoked meats, so that was my first taste. While it didn't have the strong smoke flavor I grew up with, it was very good and the meat was tender. The Andouille sausage was also authentic. Be aware, that means spicy. Excellent flavor. It came with two sauces. Again, coming from Texas (long ago...), I don't have much use for those with red meat, so it didn't surprise me that the red did nothing for me. However, the mustard sauce was excellent with the sausage. The guy I talked with while waiting said he was from SC, and they're known for their mustard sauces, so that was no surprise. The sides were slaw and cheesy corn. I like slaw with a bit of a vinegar bite. While it was cut with mayo, the bite was there and the cabbage was fresh and crunchy. I don't ever remember having cheesy corn, but I lie corn. I thought there was too much cheese and too little corn, but the mix was great and the spices/bacon with it worked well. I'm very pleased. Some day I'll drive there rather than ride, so I can try what looks like a nice assortment of beer.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
I love it all. Every bite, for all eternity. Trying to talk my old man into getting a job here so he can bring that delicious aroma home with him :)
google avatar

Yelp
Hands down our FAVORITE bbq here in Spokane valley. We always order the brisket and we've never been disappointed!! Freaking love this place.

Yelp
TT's is so tasty! Get there early to get the best selection for food. They will sell out. We love their drink on draft and the location.

Yelp
Good and service was awesome . the place is small and very inviting. The servers were very friendly and helpful

John T.

Yelp
Been here a few times and the food has not been great. Service was really slow for not being busy.

Brenda T.

Yelp
Great food, filling portions and friendly staff with an upbeat feel. I love the cheesy corn and loaded baked potato, too!
google avatar

Jack H.

Yelp
Best BBQ place in Spokane! We love the food, beer list, and atmosphere. Since we live close by, it is a great option to order and take out when family is in town. Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Logan H.

Yelp
Honestly I recommend going up the road to Outlaw BBQ. The food here is not great, the mac and cheese is terrible. Kraft Mac and cheese is better.I hate to say it, but I feel I could make better BBQ at my house. Service was great. Ambiance is cool. The best thing about this place was the happy hour beer. Sorry TT's I want to like you, but this was a bad experience.
google avatar

Larry J.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in here for the first time for lunch today; appropriate social distancing was in place because of COVID-19. The place has a nice upscale pup look and feel. We ordered a brisket sandwich along with a pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, beans, and banana pudding; also a orange Ale to wash it down. The meat on both sandwiches was very tender and flavorful; the brisket was exceptionally good. The potato salad used large slices of red potatoes with a tasty dressing, very good. The beans were just standard. The banana pudding was delicious. The Ale was smooth with a touch of orange, my wife loved it.

Yelp
Check it out Spokane!! We stumbled across TT's today and were NOT disappointed! Wife and I Had the sampler platter...pulled pork, brisket, hot sausage and smoked turkey. Two sides, cornbread and mac n cheese. Added the wedge salad, holy pile of food. Only complaint would be that I was too fed and full to have multiple beers!!
google avatar

Ed N.

Yelp
Had lunch with my Mom and sister. The food was very savory and the beer and cider was tasty and cold!
google avatar

Austin D.

Yelp
I've been to Texas for a bbq trip. This place stands its ground and competes for sure. Everything was very good. Flavorful, moist, good bark on the ribs and brisket. Super solid.
google avatar

Alia Z.

Yelp
Yea!!! We found our go to spot for BBQ!! We've tried em all! Our go to dish when we order BBQ out is brisket. We like it charred and fatty and super tender. This is it!!! By far the very best brisket in town. I lived in TX for awhile and man oh man!! This right here is as good as you would get in TX. I'm so impressed that I'm going to try some of their other smoked meats! Usually I'm not a fan of other bbq meats at restaurants but I bet it's all good here. I'm also not a fan of baked beans but their pinto beans with brisket is delish! The max and cheese will give you a heat attack instantly if you eat a small side to yourself. It's incredibly cheesy so super heavy cheesy. I think I'm in love with you TT's! Will you be mine forever? Please don't ever close down! Sincerely, your new best friend.

Yelp
I tried TT's BBQ!!! It was good. The waitress was attentive to our table and there were a decent amount of tables taken up. ... I had a 2 meat plate with 2 sides.. so I got to try their brisket and ribs.. the brisket was juicy and packed full of flavor and the ribs melted in your mouth... F'n A good..... I had the Mac and cheese and slaw for a side.. the Mac and cheese was a powerful punch of cheese hardy flavor and the coleslaw was good... more and more I respect food the more I find coleslaw a great added flavor. TT's slaw was up there rank for sure. at first I wanted to complain about lack of meat but after eating the brisket, ribs and sides I was waddling out the door!! .. My wife had had the cheese steak sandwich ... looked yummy, she blessed me with a bite.. lucky for me it is a lot of sandwich and now I get some left overs!! My daughter had the pulled pork.. she said it was good but she didn't eat much of it... I like this place! I drank a grapefruit pale it was flavorful and good.. today was a good day.

Yelp
Pretty Good BBQ. Beers are good. Really enjoyed the Smoked Scotch Ale. I had the U-hi Sandwich. Definitely would do it again. Get there Early, when there out, there out.
