"Situated in Marmora/Beesley’s Point on the mainland, not far from Ocean City’s 34th Street bridge, is the sensational seafood spot Tuckahoe Inn. Enjoy the red snapper pontchartrain and broiled sea scallops gratine entrees in the indoor dining room’s pleasantly cool climate or satisfy your seafood cravings outside on the seasonal Back Bay Cafe bayside deck where you can grab a crab imperial grilled cheese, clams casino, and other seafood bar bites while listening to live music and taking in the water views." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

"The French onion soup at Tuckahoe Inn is a signature menu item and one that serves as an excellent start to your meal or as an accompaniment to a sandwich of your choosing. Rich beef broth intermingles with caramelized onions and is then topped off with garlic croutons and Swiss and muenster cheeses for pure soup perfection." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

"Head over the 34th Street Bridge from Ocean City and a few short miles away you’ll find the Tuckahoe Inn located in the Marmora/Beesley’s Point area. Located along the Great Egg Harbor Bay, the Tuckahoe Inn offers many indoor dining tables within the enclosed porch area where you can sit by large windows that highlight the eye-catching water views. If you want to dine alfresco — take a seat at one of the tables or at the bar of the Back Bay Cafe, their outdoor drinking and dining spot where you can catch live entertainment throughout the week." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

We went to dine outside since the weather was gorgeous. Our waitress must of forgot she had our table so we waited about 15 minutes to be able to put our order in. The ocean view was nice. My only complaint would be the palm trees definitely need more attention, a bigger pot perhaps. My chair had a large rusty spot which may or may bot cut someone in the future. The outdoor dining just needs some attention back there. Our food was good!

The staff are incredibly kind. The bartenders are very polite and very fast with drinks. The prices are extremely reasonable, and the food is delicious. Had a work event here and I was fantastic.

Impeccable service! Meghan was excellent! This restaurant is located on the water and has a great view. It was decorated for the fall holidays. There was a big selection on the menu. We had the 3 for $25 lunch special. I had the clam chowder, broiled platter & key lime pie. The food was excellent, but the clam chowder is the best I have ever had. A must! This place is a 3 minute drive off of the GSP. We will definitely return when we visit again.

We make sure every trip to Cape May involves a trip to The Tuckahoe Inn. Watching Egg Harbor Bay while eating is why we come here. And in the warm weather when you can sit outside it’s magical. Close your eyes and absorb the breeze and sounds. H E A V E N

Google
Food was good, service was fair, yet polite. I felt rushed throughout this entire experience. Wait staff hovered like vultures and swooped in to immediately wish your plate away before you were finished chewing your final bite. It was hard to enjoy our meal; we just felt as if they couldn't get us out the door quick enough! I'm not sure I would eat here again or even recommend this place to others. This is too bad since the food was really good.

Google
Off the beaten path, but worth the drive. We brought our crew here while visiting Ocean City. We were very pleased with the service, ambiance and menu options. The place has a southern style charm which we really liked. The food is OK, not bad AT ALL but not overly impressive either. Very fairly priced - would return with kids/large groups.

While vacationing in OCNJ my husband and I decided to have dinner at the Tuckahoe Inn. We sat outside right on the water and it was really lovely. Food was delicious (try the crab stuffed onion rings and the clams casino) and our server Kerri was great and so attentive. 100% will be going back and recommend!

Google
The Tuckahoe Inn has a great location just a few minutes away from Ocean City. The parking lot and overflow lots get filled up pretty quickly, but there is more parking on the street. I'd highly recommend making reservations, especially during the summer months. Lots of seating both indoors and out on their large back patio. There are loads of drink choices (full bar); and the food menu is pretty extensive as well. Our party of 11 was seated quickly (with a reservation) and was very well attended to throughout dinner. It's not cheap, but it's very well worth it. I'd highly recommend this place for a nice dinner.

Yelp
Everything was absolutely wonderful Especially our great server Marcelo Best crab cakes I ever had and the Mezcal Margarita lovely

Jim L.

Yelp
The crab cakes are always amazing at this place! You must get it when you're here. We were here for the sandwich night on Thursday. We got filet sandwich and crab cake sandwich. The filet was somewhat tough but crab cakes literally melt down.

Lori W.

Yelp
Went here around Halloween with my parents. They love this place and like to go when in the area. The food was delicious and the service was great. Attached a picture of the view and of the decorations in the lobby.

Carol J.

Yelp
The food and the service is lacking in a big way. I used to really like this place and it is definitely trending downhill. My husband isn't one to complain and he brought his prime rib home as it was so tough he couldn't chew it. We figured we would give it to the dogs. He went to cut it and the steak knife wouldn't go through it. I thought he was kidding so I tried with a better knife and sure enough hubby was right. He actually had to use the vitamix to chop it up for the dogs. Tuckahoe Inn should be ashamed. The server was also not great or attentive and trust me with all the open tables he wasn't being overworked. The only one who seemed like he cared was the gentleman that poured the water. The actual waiter was useless. The other items we ordered weren't all that great either. The roasted potatoes were just that...potatoes void of any kind of spices or embellishments. The vegetables were salty. This food was mediocre at best. Sad but seems Tuckahoe Inns days are numbered. Its a shame as I really liked this place.

Yelp
Overall rating: 1.9 stars out of 5 stars! Rather disappointing. Last time I was there was in the early '90's. This place has not improved nor even stayed the same. It's on a downhill slide! Visit Day/Time: 8 pm on a Saturday. Nov. 11, 2023 Wait for table time: 5 mins. with reservations. Ambience: An old, large Jersey Shore dining institution. A local mainstay, but Just an old clunker that really needs updating! It appears to have a very large full-service bar that is crowded. Local entertainment(?) provided. Menu Selections: Provides a limited selection for all, but a typical Jersey diner would have a better selection. Obviously, the people of Marmora/Beasley Point just don't know that there are better places to go to for Dinner. Prices: $ 25 to 35 average per person, no drinks. Food ordered and served: Crab Cakes diner and Roast Turkey diner. Crab cakes were rather good. Hard, tasteless green beans Turkey appeared rather brownish and had an off-taste, mashed potatoes were the powered type and watery. Green beans were somewhat hard/tasteless and the stuffing was tasteless. The best item on the plate was the canned/jelled cranberry sauce. Service: Slow, lacked attentiveness. Best bets: None that was observable. Issues: This place is far outdated, needs interior and MENU updating. Avoids: Everything. Would we go back? Nope, unless fully updated, or burnt to the ground and rebuilt. Reason(s) to go (or not go) there: Refer to above comments. Follow-Ups, if any: None yet.

Yelp
Crab cakes are delicious! Service was super friendly and attentive just wish the deck was open

Yelp
We arrived early - 2 of us for a 4 person dinner. The receptionist could not find my name although the book was not too full. The manager came out and found my name after I repeated and spelled it. I do not have a difficult name, although unique. I was sure of my reservation because I called and double checked earlier. To the bar for a drink. They were served quickly and although pricey, they were good. Our last 2 guests arrived and we went to our table. The server came over after a bit and was not paying attention. We placed our orders and repeated several times. We asked for separate checks and she glazed over. We ordered drinks, apps and entrees. 3 of the four apps came out along with our salads. My soup did not come out, a porter asked if everything was ok and I made him aware that I had not received my soup. He came back and stated the server forgot to put it in. The soup came out fairly quick but was warm not hot. Ok, not going to Judge over a simple mistake. My wife's "bisque" was a beef like broth. No taste of seafood at all. The oyster Rockefeller was over seasoned with fennel. Finish appetizers and the server comes to check on everything and has her butt right in my face as she is asking the table. It would have been ok if she didn't actually back up into me. The entrees started coming and 3 of the four were served. 2 were ok but the lobster raviolis were a watery lemon concoction. Bland to say the least. The same porter came by again 10 minutes later and asked why I was not having an entree. I stated I had ordered the fried seafood platter. He rushed off and the server came over shortly and stated the order would be right out. Everyone else was done their entrees and mine arrived. The scallops were mushy and warm. The shrimp were ok and the flounder was cold. You could tell the fry oil was old, it just had that funky flavor indicative of old oil. The server stopped by later and asked if everything was ok and I stated no but it was ok. Not going to make a mountain out of a mole hill. At no point did anyone apologize or offer to rectify the bad situation. The ambiance inside was holding like but the building is showing its age. It was not crowded even though most places are packed at this time of year. We will take our business elsewhere, I am sure this establishment will not be around for too much longer. Shame, this could be fixed if the ambition to fix what is broken is taken seriously. Wake up Tuckahoe Inn....

Yelp
Great Place on the bay!! Food and service were awesome. You can pull your boat/board/or jet ski right up. Dog friendly--always a plus!

David K.

Yelp
Been going here for years but something has changed. We walked in and the whole place smelled like an outhouse. The window next to our table was crawling with flies. My wife ordered the seafood combo and the lobster tail was over cooked on top and raw underneath. I don't even know how you could accomplish that. My filet steak was also over cooked and flavorless. Don't mind paying for a good meal but this was awful.

Yelp
A nice seashore dining spot .. that's very popular with locals. So you know it has to be good. Good food, nice service, reasonably priced .. & .. on a nice evening the semi-outside dining area is beautiful. The only concern I have is, every time I've been to The Tuckahoe Inn " they run out of their seafood special ". That's a very good sign, as far as the quality of the food .. but .. for someone like me who loves fresh seafood .. it's disappointing. But ... that's strictly a " timing issue ". You've heard the saying, " The early bird catches the worm " .. well .. at The Tuckahoe Inn it's, " The early diner gets the seafood special ". All in all, a very pleasant & enjoyable dining experience. I would definitely give The Tuckahoe Inn a solid thumbs up .

Yelp
I liked the atmosphere and the view. We went for a late lunch around 2:30 pm Saturday 1.14.23. Service was more than satisfactory. We had two J. Lohr Cabs, 1 Riesling, Burrata app, Buffalo Shrimp, Crab Cake Entree, and Filet with Shrimp and Crab Imperial. $140 total without tip. The good- Crab Cakes were low filler and quality lump crab. I liked the vegetables on the side. They were fresh and cooked al dente. All the food lacked seasoning in a big way. I was underwhelmed overall. My dining partner said the filet meal tasted like nothing. That is sad considering it was topped with crab imperial and had shrimp on the side. The place was pretty busy for an afternoon in the Winter on a biting weather day! I did notice most of the patrons were way older than us. I am 50! Perhaps that is where the mild seasoning decisions originate. This is a bit of a drive for us so we probably won't be returning anytime soon.

Rob M.

Yelp
Still a great spot and sunset specials are a must and the view is still amazing!! I have been going here for forty years and love the traditional seashore vibe

Jacqueline C.

Yelp
The Tuckahoe is Jersey Shore classic! We LOVE the Tuckahoe!!! We get excited each and everytime we go to see how lovely it is decorated for whatever special occasion is coming up next. They go out of their way yo celebrate the American Life we are all honored to enjoy! Great food, service and the ambiance are all appreciated!!!!

Stephen D.

Yelp
Chef Tyson's crab cake sandwich is my go to here.. Can't get past that. Very festive place to go out to eat around Christmas.. This place just has a lot of atmosphere and history.. Shhh it's good...

Barbara T.

Yelp
Excellent food and service Don't skip the dessert Have been there several times and always enjoyed

Travlnman1 H.

Yelp
Stop with the Fabuloso spray on the tables! Smelled like my bathroom! Food was good but the smell of fabuloso totally overpowered the aroma of good food. And we were outside!

Jeff K.

Yelp
This place is a food factory. Super noisy, super crowded. Know what you are in for and embrace it and you can have fun. Major issue was we had a bad table in the back corner and the waiters and bus boys were just slamming dishes and cabinets so loud it was insane. Not many options with a bar in the area, so you take what you can get. Older crowd, glorified diner food. Attentive bar service. Might be best to sit outside and get causal food and enjoy the view of the bridge and power plant, lol.

Gillian W.

Yelp
I'm not sure which was worse, the food or the service. The quality of the food was amazingly poor and overpriced. Such a disappointment. Our server knew nothing about the wine list, only referring to the house red as the "cheap" wine. In pouring our water he reached in front of my face and across my dinner plate for the glass. Geez! Who trained this kid?! Don't waste your time or money on this place. The Inn's best years are clearly behind it.

Brian C.

Yelp
This place used to be awesome. The food and overall experience has dramatically declined. They need to hit the reset button! So disappointed!

Marissa B.

Yelp
This is a quiet place with a gorgeous view during sunset. The back of the restaurant has large windows that give you a pretty view of the sunset and the bridge. Has a very comfortable "grandmas kitchen" ambience with a car in the front. We ordered the bruschetta to start and it came on crostini with balsamic glaze. Highly recommend. Our table also got the NY strip, crab cake sandwich and flounder stuffed with imperial crab. Each entree comes with a side salad. My guests loved the crab items! Giving four stars as the NY strip while I understand is "grilled" the outside was super charred. Otherwise, very delicious meal! for drinks we tried the margarita, blue vodka lemonade & a cosmo. Drinks came slow but we're good! They have an extensive drink menu and full bar.

Bart S.

Yelp
Just ate there today and I must say they are the real deal . My girlfriend had the honey glazed and garlic salmon and it was perfection. I had the crab cake which was the best ever. The clam chowder was the best and I have had many bowls of chowder in my life. Desert was Bread pudding with a caramel glaze which was heaven . The service was fantastic and so was the atmosphere . All and all it was 5 stars plus.

Makoto F.

Yelp
Ugh, what an overrated overhyped restaurant. Guess this is a local favorite ... age old favorite? The place was full with locals and tourists. Had their "crab stuffed flounder." The ingredients were so mashed together and overcooked that I truly could not taste any specific flavors. Sides, potatoes and veggies, were, sort of, OK. My dinner companions appeared to be satisfied. In fact, wildly pleased with the restaurant and the food. But, if this is one of the premier restaurants of the area, I am saddened by the local taste/cuisine. Glad I am only a visitor from quite a distant location. The service was very slow. Barely saw our wait staff who did not not check on us for any additional needs or water.

Will M.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch today and are sure glad we did. The fire place was roaring and it was cozy and warm. Sat at the bar and got served right away. The bar tender was very personable and made some really good drinks. Turned out they had a nice happy hour lunch menu and we couldn't resist. The service, food and price was great. Going back for sure.

Alexandria R.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had the best New Year's Eve outing because of the inn and because of one of the bartenders. I wish I got her name but unfortunately we were too deep in our fantastically crafter drinks to ask haha! I had asked if it was still possible to order food but the kitchen closed so she offered me her dunkaroos. She was such a sweet heart for trying to share them and then on top of that put up with my pickiness of drink ordering. I was trying to go out of my comfort zone and try something new and when I didn't like a drink she did what she could do make it better and did a great job. On top of all that she made me a drink that's not on the menu that was perfect for my cravings and the hydration. All in all we had a great experience

Jason H.

Yelp
The Tuckahoe Inn is seafood location on the water. They have a nice outdoor deck where you have a nice view of the back bay, as well as a nicely sized interior. The service was good, and our server did a nice job of taking care of us. The food was just OK, however, and overall it was somewhat disappointing in that respect. I got a surf and turf, and ordered my steak medium rare. Unfortunately, it came out medium well, and I asked them to re-fire it. The second steak came out rare...I'd even say "blue" as most of the steak was totally raw, with just a barely cooked outside that was maybe 1/8" think. I just kept it, took it home, and cooked it myself. Overall, the place has a great deal of potential, but the inability to cook a steak at a place that has steak and seafood as a part of their menu was not ideal. Definitely a great location, but not a place I'd return for just the food.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
To the Management at the Tackahoe Inn, you truly are doing a disservice to your patrons and to your servers with the way you seat and give out tables to your servers. We recently sat in the small closed off room by the front of the restaurant and there were 7 servers serving 7 tables in our room and not one table was given any attention or adequate service. We asked to speak to the manager George before we left and we were told he was "predisposed" and couldn't be seen or spoken to. This is unacceptable as management of a restaurant. We have been frequent patrons of the Tackahoe Inn for 10 years but we may never come back after our service tonight and lack of management. Shame on you.

Diane J.

Yelp
Great views!! Service was slow but sweet. Food was just alright. My flounder had little taste, salad was wilted. My husband's prime rib was overdone. The meat had good taste. My bread pudding was just alright but my husband's peanut butter pie was delicious. The New England clam chowder soup was not very tasty. The rolls were warm and yummy.

Sharon M.

Yelp
The entrance area smells like a subway! Food was overpriced and horrible. Coffee was out of this world!

Bill Q.

Yelp
We have been loyal customers here for over a decade but service has declined considerably. There is one bartender that has an attitude towards my father and either ignores us or talks down to us. When we first got there tonight he wasn't around and other bartenders were attentive. When he walked in, saw us, he went and talked to the other bartenders. After that we were ignored and had to flag someone down after 15 minutes to get another drink. My last beer wasn't a full pour- she never tilted glass and I had lots of foam. I left it on the bar and never did she ask why I wasn't drinking it. I took it off the bill and left a tip they deserved. I won't be back

Stephanie S.

Yelp
We visited here during a recent vacation. We chose to sit outside on the Back Bay. Food was so/so, quite pricey. Limited tap beer, fairly warm canned beer. What concerns me is the wait staff. The kitchen/service station was visible from where we sat. From what i could tell the chefs would plate the main course and the wait staff would then add the sides from this serving station. The issue here is many of the wait staff would just reach in and pick food up from the serving station with their bare hands and eat it. No sanitation between serving, plating, eating. Then walking out towards the tables still chewing. Poor practice ! Very unprofessional.

Christine B.

Yelp
Quaint little place decent portions and upscale presentations. Sunset views are romantic and beautiful.

Joseph M.

Yelp
Been eating here for 20+ years. Got the prime rib it was so bad and mushy. Full of fat and drowning in spices. Tasted like it was sitting in water for hours. Also was supposed to have crab there was hardly any on the steak. Manager was too lazy to come over and at least say sorry. We paid $90 for two prime ribs that were god awful. Went downhill here I'll never go back again. Manager should be fired there was no one in place and they didn't have the balls to come over they made the poor waitress come over and give us an explanation. She also said many people were complaining about the cuts of meat. Very disappointing. A homeless bum on the streets of AC would have spit that steak out. Also flies everywhere inside

Ariadne B.

Yelp
very good food:) and the mus is amazing

Dusty S.

Yelp
Awesome ambience! Great live music that wasn't too loud so you could hold a conversation. The service from the waitress to the managers and food runners was exceptional and the food was great to top it off. Wouldn't recommend any where else for a nice evening on the water with good music, food, and drinks!

John M.

Yelp
We had our annual OC vacation dinner. All dinners were delicious. Several ordered the flounder stuffed with crab meat. It was really good. Great beer and cocktail selection. The Tuckahoe tomahawk was especially tasty. Our server was attentive. The only improvement I can suggest is a remodel. The restaurant sits on a beautiful coast, but the interior and exterior of the actual restaurant has seen better days. There is a musty odor. It doesn't prevent us from bringing the whole family every year so it's not that bad.

Victoria D.

Yelp
stopped for dinner on a Saturday afternoon with two children. The wait staff was very nice and the restaurant is clean. My drink was perfect. However, very disappointed in the food. My grandsons soup, one of their signature dishes was good. My red snapper with crabmeat topping was served with a mound of sliced almonds very small amount of crab meat....small tiny cubed pieces and the fish was dry. the sides were small potatoes with skin, not cut; and green beans. I asked the waitress if I could switch out the potatoes, and she said I could have mashed potatoes but its a $2 up charge! I laughed. My dinner was awful. the children's food was mediocre at best. While paying my tab I gave the waitress a gift card and she told me that the restaurant does not accept gift cards due to their "new POS system". What? I won't be back.

Miriam L.

Yelp
Had a delicious dinner with awesome apps and entrees. great atmosphere outside with nice music. will definitely be back.

Phil N.

Yelp
The reviews for this place seem a bit hard to decode 5s and 1s. I knew something was up so I went to investigate. By the way, about 8 of the 1 star reviews appear to be from one day and perhaps one party This location is off the island and a 20 minute drive. We had 8 people with one in a wheelchair. They are one of the few places that take a reservation and had any kind of HC Accommodation. The HC accommodation was not quite up to code but workable enough for us. The venue is giant and bustling on a Friday Night. Several hundred folks easily there. The restaurant was opened in 1963 and had that vibe. Traditional seafood house vibe. Nothing fresh here but totally clean if a little worn. They do not try to be fancy but they do not try to be. Summer casual spot. Not the place for big city hoyty toyty There is a outdoor area with a great view, live band and rustic accommodations. It is on the water and folks bring their boats in. It has a casual vibe. They have a very limited venue. I think that some of the reviews with low food scores at reacting to this. Indoors, bustling. Hundreds of customers, dozens of servers working there asses off. The servers are very friendly but very busy. They all have multiple tables. They do have a system and food comes out in a reasonable time The food was prepared in a workmanlike fashion. Simple preparation and execution was a B+. Originality was a C Freshness was a A. Cost was high but it is seafood. Look, if you are coming here, get in a island state of mind and you will enjoy yourself. And be flexible, take it easy. You will get no better service anywhere in a casual beach resort in New Jersey. Sorry, no sushi Suzy, try Belize. I would go again.

Len S.

Yelp
What a nice place to bring the family for dinner. The view from the dining room is great. You can choose to dine outside if you prefer. The outside bar has a different menu. The first problem you find is parking. Cars were lined up on the road leading to the restaurant. I dropped G off to check our reservation and drove around the parking lot until someone pulled out. Inside even with a reservation we waited 1/2 an hour for a table. We ended up with a nice window table. Starting off with a bottle of Malbec for $18.00 that was very good. Not the soup that I would put back in the can and ask for my money back. The crock of onion soup was 70 percent cheese. After eating the cheeses the crock was 2/3 's empty. Absolutely the worst I ever had. Oh and it was a $ 5 dollar up charge over the bad soup that comes with your dinner. As the sun was setting the entrees arrived. I will say sorry the one steak was undercooked. However the fish and second steak were very good. If we return it will be to try the patio food. People outside looked like they were having a good time .

Gary S.

Yelp
We ate at the Tuckahoe Inn last night. We had a 5:00 pm reservation and were seated shortly after that. We enjoyed a little time at the bar with an attentive bartender while waiting. We had requested and received a table in the porch area that looks out at the bay. We promptly received waters and rolls soon followed by the waiter. We placed our orders and soon received our salads. My wife had a very good NY Strip Steak and I had the Red Snapper. Both meals were presented well and very good. They both came with green beans (outstanding) and small roasted potatoes. We shared a dessert of their excellent bread pudding. So, prices are comparable, service and dinners were great. One great point is, unlike many shore restaurants they take reservations. Enjoy!!!

Lauren F.

Yelp
Haven't had such a bad experience at a restaurant in a long time, if ever. We were seated at 7 and food did not arrive until 8:45. We had 4 young kids with us and even their food took that long. When complaining to the manager, it was very evident that he did not care one bit. He said he would check in with the kitchen, but then never followed up or gave any sort of apology. Drinks were actually terrible. Food, when it finally arrived, was mediocre at best. We were shocked when the bill came and not only was nothing comped for the wait, but drinks we didn't have were on the far-too-high bill. Never again!q

Jim B.

Yelp
Ambiance is typical New Jersey shore, food is good, not gourmet, and the waitstaff work their tales off in providing great service usually very pleasant.

Marqus R.

Yelp
From reading the reviews I knew Tuckahoe Inn was going to be crowded and it was, like it was really, really crowded. But through some miracle my party of five got right in and were promptly seated. I also thought the food and service might be a hit or miss type of thing considering the crowds, but for us it was a totally delicious fantastic hit. Our service couldn't have been better and my meal was over the top excellent. I started off as I usually do with a Woodford Bourbon Manhattan which drink turned out to be rather good and of a decent size pour. Then I had their 1/2 dozen raw oysters which were excellent tasting from nearby Delaware Bay. For my entrée, and this was really a top notch standout of a dish, I had their "Black and Blue Prime Rib with Crabmeat." On their menu they claimed it to be outrageously delicious and indeed it was. The hand cut piece of prime rib had been seared in Cajun spices then covered off with an in house blue cheese dressing and crab meat finishing. It was so good I ignored any thoughts of cholesterol intake because if does any harm, for me it was worth it.

Liz B.

Yelp
Terrible food . The worst prime rib I've ever had. Very poor quality , full of fat . Manager didn't even come out and address our complaints . Don't waste your money coming here . I did .

Lynn M.

Yelp
We love it there. Food always good. Staff great! It's always decorated beautifully especially during the holidays.

Yelp
I fondly recall this place from two decades ago. Upon visit this weekend found it likely had not seen major renovation since then. Indoor main room uncomfortably crowded and shabby. Deck room better. Bar is ok We had a wonderful waitress. She understood diet needs. That was essential since the menu is not transparent re gluten free etc It was very loud. Food was just ok. I'd go back on a summer eve - but only to eat outside for a light meal and drink

Yelp
Thanksgiving dinner was a wonderful experience for our table of five. Most of us enjoyed the Turkey plate, but I had the honey glazed salmon and my partner loved the broiled seafood: Lobster, stuffed flounder, scallops and shrimp. Hoo-boy! Butternut squash soup all around, and a couple of rounds of Yard Lager kept the evening festive. The wait-staff was impressive. Despite a full house tables were cleared with little interruption, and food and drink found their place. Loved it! Credit to our waitress Terry. What a beautiful establishment.

Yelp
The Tuckahoe Inn was just off our route on our trip to Cape May. Since it was just before lunch we decided to stop here. The reviews didn't look promising but pictures showed beautiful waterfront seating and views so we decided to stop. The restaurant is located at the end of a dead end residential street. When I arrived with my friend we couldn't help notice the large steel factory just to the left. The area is extremely quiet. We were seated inside near the windows, the outdoor area wasn't open. The views are definitely the best part of this place as long as you don't look left towards the factory. Me and my friend both ordered the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The chicken tasted like it was cooked days before and reheated. The lettuce barely looked washed. The Caesar dressing was watery. Our waiter was nice but didn't even question why neither of us finished our meals. I'm just thrilled neither of us started off our girls weekend being sick from this meal.

Yelp
We have enjoyed the Tuckahoe Inn in the past, but it seems to have gone down hill. Perhaps that is a result of COVID, although very crowded restaurant. The service was definitely short handed, but they were trying hard. The food was prepared fine, but pretty bland and average for the price. Nice view on the terrace porch. The place has seen better days. Will give it another try next summer when things are bit more back to normal we hope. Redfish was the best dish we had and would consider again.

Yelp
went there for the first time last night, what a huge disappointment!! as soon as you walk in it smelled like a port a potty. atmosphere was just ok. the food was eh, not great by any means. The service was just ok, forgot the salad that comes with the dinner, waited too long for the check. needless to say, I won't be going back.
