Best Restaurants and Bars With Fireplaces in NYC | Eater NY

"With over a dozen cheeses on its menu, some even made on-premises, Tuffet is a favorite spot for ordering craft beers with a plentiful meat-and-cheese board. Thanks to the bar’s outdoor fireplace, hanging out here is cozy year-round. Drinks run to cocktails, coffee, and a seasonal sangria, which goes perfectly with cheese." - Eater Staff

Nice ambiance, with a beautiful outdoor space filled with plants. It’s quiet and perfect to chill. The food is good, and the service is excellent.

Five-Star Review for Tuffet – A Hidden Gem for Cheese & Charcuterie Lovers After a long flight, there is nothing better than returning to a familiar and welcoming place, and Tuffet never disappoints. My husband and I make it a point to stop by whenever we can, and each visit is a testament to the exceptional quality and warm atmosphere that make this establishment truly special. The moment you walk in, you are greeted by the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, who embody the spirit of hospitality. Whether you are a regular or a first-time visitor, they ensure you feel right at home—much like the classic Cheers bar, where everybody knows your name. Their attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm elevate the experience, making every visit feel personal and inviting. Of course, the true highlight is the food. The cheese and charcuterie platters at Tuffet are second to none, offering an exquisite selection of the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. Each bite showcases a perfect balance of flavors, carefully curated for an exceptional tasting experience. Whether you prefer a classic combination or something adventurous, there is always something to delight the palate. The ambiance is equally inviting—cozy yet refined, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a long day of travel or simply to enjoy a relaxing evening with great food and great company. Tuffet is not just a place to eat; it is a place to savor and appreciate. If you’re looking for a spot that combines top-tier food, outstanding service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, Tuffet is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

Tuffet rocks. Good people. Good drinks. Very chill vibe. If I’m being honest, I dislike the exterior of the building so much, that it took me a while to first come to Tuffet, but now it’s a go-to for friend meetups, and even a birthday party in their reservable back room. The patio is a god damn delight. It’s not exactly instagrammable, but I think that actually keeps a lot of the nü Williamsburg riff raff away, which is wonderful. Hooray for Tuffet!

*Review by a cheesemonger* Loved it! I was looking for somewhere to replace my prior favourite, Murray's Cheese Bar, after a terribly disappointing experience there ever since they changed locations. This is a great spot and alternative to Murray's! They have a chalkboard of featured cheeses and meats and you can create your own platter. I did four for $27. I do wish they would give a little more cheese but the amount is what I was expecting, knowing how expensive cheese is. Everything tasted great, at least. The bartender/server (she was the only FOH staff on a Tuesday evening and was doing it all) was super friendly and quiete knowledgeable about the products as well. I really enjoyed everything I ordered and the accompaniments (fresh apple, dried fruits, nuts, toasted baguette and a jam) were great as well. Some of the bread was stale or just needed a bit more time in the oven to remove the moisture. Overall, had a really good experience and it was nice and quiet (but not too quiet), on a Tuesday anyway. Nice ambiance, very dark in the restaurant, soft music playing. I only ordered the cheese & meat and a drink so I can't speak to the other food. The seasonal sangria (rosemary rosé) was really delicious too! I'll be coming back next time I visit NYC :)

My favorite bar in East Williamsburg. The bartenders Ellen and Tyler are a riot. The food and drinks are incredible. I would highly recommend!

Hosted a small get together here. The food was delicious, the blonde ambition pizza, phenomenal. Alicia and the rest of the team were wonderful to work with and accomodating!

Tuffet was the perfect location for our intimate "modern tropical" wedding in September. We were able to hire outside catering, bring our own cake, and have a DJ. There were some restrictions with the DJ (e.g. could not play past 11p outside), but all the restrictions were reasonable and made clear ahead of time. The backyard is beautiful. The string lights and greenery along the walls made for a very romantic atmosphere. More than anything, I am so grateful to Alicia and her staff for being so organized and on top of their game. Alicia is experienced at hosting events at Tuffet and worked with me and my wedding planner to accommodate our 87 guests for a ceremony, dinner, and dancing. The backyard space was flipped three times for each of those events at the wedding. Alicia helped us figure out seating arrangements, and was very helpful the day of the wedding by organizing and making sure things were running smoothly. Her staff were awesome and the bartenders even pitched in when one of our servers could not make it. Overall, highly recommend Tuffet for a wedding, or any event, really.

Incredible cocktails, great cheeseboards, the staff is DELIGHTFUL! We were there for a wedding and it was honestly a perfect evening. The patio is magical. Would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone!

Yelp
My friends and I had a private party reservation here and thoroughly enjoyed the space! Tuffet was kind enough to let us use the entire back patio, which had tables, chairs and a fire to keep us warm. My party and I shared their meat and cheese plates, where you can easily create your own. The boards were delicious and really elevated the party, along with various drinks including wine and really well made cocktails like hot toddys (my favorite of the night). Despite being outside the majority of the time, the inside seemed lovely as well and I hope to get to dine here with a smaller group inside soon!

Yelp
Super yummy appetizers. Great backyard ambiance. Awesome seasonal drinks. A little on the pricey side but you can't beat this quality and ambiance. Worth it. The employees are always wonderful as well.

Yelp
I love Tuffet so much! It's a place to take dates, friends, and yourself! They have a wonderful selection of drinks. Plus, they have unique frozen drinks in the warmer months! The foods is delightful. The actually place is so darn cute and the backyard is sublime. The staff is sheets super sweet and helpful!
google avatar

Yelp
Great atmosphere and decent selection of wines/ charcuterie! People grab tables outside and hold them as long as they can, so you'll have to be vigilant if you want outdoor seating.

Yelp
Came here the other day with a girlfriend to enjoy the back patio and partake in some cheesy nosh and wine. I loved the selection and appreciated that they were able to accommodate my friend by providing gluten-free bread. The bartender helped me choose a delicious wine but I did end up switching to one of their frozen drink options. I loved these and highly recommend them. Alot of flavor and booze! The space itself, both inside and outside are gorgeous. Plenty of seating options and would be able to host a decent-sized group but also allows for a more intimate setting if that's what you're looking for. The servers were lovely. I'd highly recommend this spot. 4.8/5

Yelp
Good cocktails and cute backyard with a fire pit for when the weather decides to dip again. Inside is also spacious, lots of two people tops, and booths in the front.

Sarah R.

Yelp
Lovely place! My friend and I were looking for a wine bar in the area and saw this online. We chose to sit at the back patio near the fireplace and it was the perfect place for us to catch up. They had interesting bottle options, so we started with the Dry Tokaj from Hungary. Ended the night with a crisp Gavi, which we enjoyed in the back room. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

Yelp
Stopped here for cozy spot to grab drinks in Brooklyn this weekend. We ordered the two hot cocktail options, a spiced cider and a mulled wine, and got a charcuterie board with two meats and two cheeses. We took our drinks to a cute back patio with a fireplace and some heaters, along with blankets provided by the bar. The blankets were definitely necessary as the fire really only warmed the table directly in front of it and the heater we sat under was not working well. The mulled wine was delicious, although the spices in the cider were a little overwhelming. The charcuterie portions were small but everything was delicious.
google avatar

Michee C.

Yelp
Such a cute and quaint bar that I would never think to stop by. They have a lovely backyard in the back with a fire place and a few tables to sit at with your drinks and friends. A nice selection of charcuterie, beers and cocktails to enjoy.
google avatar

Melissa F.

Yelp
Good vibes, wine/beer/cocktails, excellent service AND an outdoor area!? Tuffet is the embodiment of why I love Brooklyn. It's very unassuming outside but don't let that fool you. This is a great hidden neighborhood gem with some of the best service around.

Garrett C.

Yelp
Hi, I hosted my 27th birthday at Tuffet, and they let me reserve the back half of the patio, and the staff had done their best to accommodate me and my party. I had 30 or so friends come and join me, and the staff did a wonderful job of making us delicious drinks. I recommend this spot for anyone throwing a party, or even a cute date night :).

Yelp
My cousin had a baby shower here and it was magnificent. Great service and perfect variety of Brie, Blue and Hard cheeses. Also their Pizza was amazing with varieties of margarita, spinach&garlic, and caprese. Unlimited champagne and samosa with nice selection of top shelf spirits and various beer on draft. Can be tight if a party larger than 50 but the outdoor area is pretty big, highly recommended for events like this!

Yelp
I celebrated my 50th birthday here last night and it was magical. The backyard is beautiful and the owner and staff were wonderful. They made everything so easy and perfect. I will definitely back for more wine and cheese and next time I'll bring my pup (very dog friendly)!
google avatar

Kat T.

Yelp
I really liked the backyard and I thought the cheeseboard was yummy, it was just a little expensive considering how much you got. However I really liked the variety of bread that came with it, some had dried fruit in it that really complemented the burrata and jam. You also got some nuts with it. The burrata and salami were my favorite of the charcuterie options. Drink-wise, we got slushies, and I love the cocktail umbrellas (!!!) but wasn't a huge fan of the rosemary sangria. It fell flat. The cherry slushie was much better. The overall ambience was great and I'd definitely consider revisiting but it's not a standout place for cheeseboards and drinks.

K M.

Yelp
Just had my 50th birthday last night! A wonderful classy vibe in the backyard and bar. We ordered a few platters for guests. The staff, Ellen and Rebecca, were wonderful!!! The rosé slushies are divine! My friends all loved the vibe! Thank you Tuffet! Beautiful evening!

Yelp
We used Tuffet as a venue for our wedding welcome party on a Friday night. We started with a partial buy-out for a casual rehearsal dinner and then did a full buy-out for the rest of the night for the rest of our guests. The space is great, everyone loved it. We really enjoyed the food and the people working there were super helpful and our friends and family enjoyed chatting with them. Alicia was very helpful getting the night set up. The venue is so flexible in how they arrange events. Everything was high quality and affordable!

Yelp
Was at Tuffet for an engagement party on a rainy day in NYC. Such nice people who made everyone welcome. If you live in the area, a nice neighborhood bar too, not huge selection (some nice local craft beers) but everything is good. Our daughter lives a few minutes walk away, so I'm sure we'll be back
google avatar

Yelp
I cannot reccomend this place enough. We had our engagment party here and everyone is still raving about it. The space is beautiful, the staff is amazing and the food and drinks are great.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday here - was able to book a private room, preorder food as well which was great. Owner was so helpful and it was amazing! A very cozy vibe, like a cozy apartment feel. The staff were really lovely. The drinks were great - we even spent some time by the fireplace, too. Food was on point as well! Will be back again very soon!

Yelp
I attended a small friend gathering there and was nicely surprised by the level of COVID-19 enforcement measures. The whole staff was wearing masks and gloves, as well as you get your body temperature checked at the door. The backyard patio is decorated nicely with string lights and green plants, which makes for a cozy atmosphere. Their cheese dip is absolutely amazing, sadly the portions are not that big. Their red pizzas are pretty good, too. The couple of things on their menu which weren't bad, but definitely not as good as the aforementioned ones were the white pizza and the cheese board. They were just okay.

Yelp
Let's start out by saying the actual cheese and charcuterie deserves 5 stars (which is the only reason this review isn't 1 star). My friend and I are in a constant struggle to find a place with a good selection at an affordable price. When we looked up the place, based on the yelp rating and website, we knew we HAD to come to Tuffet. As soon as we arrived, everything went down hill. We walked in to see about 7 patrons and 2 gentlemen that seemed to look like they work there. Upon walking in, we were not greeted - barely even acknowledged. We waited to see if he'd say something as to where we should sit - nope. We sat ourselves at a high table right in front of the bar. As we get settled in, still nothing. My friend had to go grab a menu herself because he just refused to acknowledge our presence. We picked what we wanted and waited. Nothing. So I walk up to the guy behind the bar and ask him if I could place my order. I tell him and he puts the drinks on the bar and walks away. Fine. I walk my drinks over to my table. This whole time I'm wondering who guy number 2 is because he was just there talking to the bartender - I was unsure if he worked there or not. Eventually our plate comes out and we enjoy the deliciousness it was. I ordered a second drink from my table. At that point, we were the only patrons left in the bar. Instead of bringing the drink over, he puts it on the bar for me to have to get up and go get it. Although my friend and I both have YEARS in the hospitality/food industry, we could not leave a tip. Saying he did the bare minimum would still be too much. We understand every possible thing that can can go wrong as a server/bartender but the service quality had NO excuse. Sucks because the place is so cute and has a lottttt of potential. Hopefully the owner takes notice of this review, along with the other ones complaining about the same issues. I may come back, but I'd leave if I see the same guy working. I definitely don't want to feel like I'm a bother at a place I'm spending my money.

Yelp
During the Covid Winter of 20/21 this was one of our go-to spots. Great drinks and really delicious bar snacks. Their sausage rolls are dangerously good. Mix em up with some coarse mustard and you'll be tempted to double/triple down on your next order. The back yard is also very nice. There's a fireplace with chairs next to it (I recommend getting there early to nab that spot) and an awning with heat lamps in the back. But what made it so lovely were the small details. Free, clean cosy blankets for anyone and hot water bottles to wear on your lap. When it was cold outside that was such a nice touch. Brrrr. Finally, the bar staff are cool. My girlfriend is obsessed. One even spins up pizzas on a Friday night. Check in out.

Yelp
Very rude staff (Wednesday night), depressing atmosphere and over priced drinks. Never again!

Yelp
im not a cheese board person but i ate the entire thing without knowing what anything was. it was so good! even asked for extra toast. that honey butter and fruit spread was so yummy! their alcoholic hot apple cider was also very delicious, strong but not overpowering the apple cider taste i really like. Lots of different choices of where to sit; bar, tables, high tables, and a cute quaint background area with a little fireplace. super cute clean restrooms too.

Yelp
Calling all wine, cured meats and cheese lovers! I found you a place that has great prices and a charming outdoor space. I went on a Thursday after work and they had a $6 wine special which included a red Cote du Rhône and two others so ask about the specials. The meat/cheese boards are reasonably priced too and they have a great offering with all the fixings. Outdoor space was clean and simple but on a hot humid day, I was incessantly swatting away flies from getting into my wine. I moved inside and was able to enjoy a cool space near the front window. I noticed there were some mixed reviews on service and unfortunately I need to add my gripe to the list. I really felt like I was the biggest inconvenience to the bartender that day. She did not want to be bothered by me and at no point did I actually feel welcome. That being said, we've all had our fair share of bad days and I still think Tuffet is a great, spacious wine bar in this neighborhood with some solid deals. Worth checking out!

Yelp
So cute and super clean bathrooms! Friendly staff, great vibe. Vintage feel setting :) great for pics

Ellie T.

Yelp
Cool spot Convenient location, pretty big place with a cozy vibe at night. Great prices for the cheese and meat plates even though they are outdated from what it shows here in the pictures on yelp. For example 4 cheese plate is $21, not $19 and sangrias during happy hour are $7, not $6 (differs during the weekend). Unfortunately they didn't have any sangrias tonight (though I heard they are great) only a cider chili special that I was not the biggest fan of. The cheese platter was very generous for the price we paid. We got 6 cheeses for $29 that came as about an ounce, maybe less, each. It comes with bread, nuts, apples and honey. The presentation is really cute with writings in chalk marking the number of the cheese you chose. We came at 6pm on a Friday and the place was pretty empty This is a very cute spot for a cozy date and just for wine and cheese lovers! Nice addition to the neighborhood p.s : they have a cool backyard thats open when it's warmer!

Yelp
Tuffet is a hidden gem of East Williamsburg. It's pretty unassuming from the outside - I walked by it plenty of times before checking it out by recommendation. Turns out, the place is completely lovely, serves meat and cheese boards, and has a great selection of cocktails. I came here a few times in the summer and definitely indulged in the frozen alcoholic slushies, too! I loved the one with rosemary and sangrita. I'd recommend this spot for date nights and hanging with smaller groups of friends over drinks.

Ruby G.

Yelp
My favorite hidden gem that should not be so hidden! A lovely backyard. Drinks are delicious, especially their frozen! Cheese is always a hit. I had my 30th birthday there in the winter and it was so fun and easy to book. They have hand sanitizer, bug spray- you name it to make everyone comfortable. Owner is usually there and bartenders are great. Dog friendly! Can't say enough good things. I LOVE TUFFET.
google avatar

Lisa D.

Yelp
Little Miss Lisa sat on a tuffet* Drinking her water and wine. I can really get behind the concept of this cheese/meat/bar. The only other wine bar that bills itself as foremost a cheese bar is Cassellula, which gets uncomfortably crowded and always has long waits. If you are willing to trek out to a less frequented part of Williamsburg, you will neither have to wait nor abut hordes of people. I was here for a birthday party, and the space worked well. Tuffet offers a well edited and organized variety of domestic and European cheeses as well as cured and cooked meats, artfully presented and well accompanied on rustic platters. The wines seem to rotate and are reasonably priced. There is also a space called "the study" that parties can rent out, which is also open for laptop users during the day. If I lived closer, I would definitely come here to read or write while drinking the Gimme! coffee that they serve here. *"Some of Mother Goose's rhymes have very old English words in them. Some people say a tuffet is a three-legged stool and others say it is a little grassy bump big enough to sit on. Did you know that curds and whey is an old word for cottage cheese? The curds are the lumpy parts and the whey is the milky part." http://www.librarysupport.net/mothergoosesociety/rhymes/littlemissm.html. Or, according to Tuffet the bar, "Tuffet is just a comfortable space to eat and drink something delicious. We think that definition will do."
google avatar

Amber K.

Yelp
Dark, modern interior + classic, delicious (affordable!) menu, free wifi and a banging playlist. Yes yes yes & yes. I had a blue and a soft, young goat cheese paired with a white wine. It was perfect. The cheese plate comes with raw honey, slightly sweet walnuts, cranberries and two kinds of bread for $10. I hummed along to the Talking Heads and other new wave. I got to order an extra half glass of wine. Couldn't have been happier.

Katherine H.

Yelp
The cheese boards and drinks were amazing as well as all the entrees and apps. The overall location and vibe of Tuffet is also so adorable and aesthetically pleasing. However, I was a bit upset with the service. The man who waited on us gave off energy that he was annoyed with us the moment we walked in. I was genuinely scared to ask any questions about the food and drinks. I had planned to spend lots of time at tuffet but after the unwelcoming nature I decided to just cash out and not open a tab. Idk why were treated so poorly but my friends and I were genuinely so stressed the entire time.
google avatar

Sinead K.

Yelp
Tuffet is great, just all around. The wifi is wonderful and they are very accepting of freelancers hanging out and doing their thing for hours on end. Staff is knowledgable and helpful. The beer is great, so is the wine and the daytime sangria specials. Cheese and meat platters are not to be missed, and if you're in the mood for a sandwich, "the sandwich" has a killer plum sauce that is pretty amazing.
google avatar

Dudeman S.

Yelp
Its a great date spot, especially if you like cheese. Wines were nice too. Their menu changes often enough that they dont post it online, but you can order various cow, sheep, and goat cheeses by the ounce, and have young, aged, rind, bleu, etc varieties. I sampled quite a few, and even had one of their melted cheese dipping bowls. I did not sample any of the meats. For the price, Id say we got a great cheese and wine meal, and their sampling plates do come with an ample amount of trimmings. There is zero information available as to the sourcing of the food or agricultural practices involved with the animals the dairy comes from, though the bartender did her best to use the "pastured" and "grass fed" buzzwords (without knowing any info about sourcing...).
google avatar

Nicole K.

Yelp
Wow. I love Tuffet. The outdoor space is my favorite in the whole city. The drinks are wonderful. The snacks are amazing. That cheese pretzel! Staff is so lovely and helpful. I really love this place for some midday drinks and snackage.
google avatar

Matt T.

Yelp
This is a great spot in an amazing neighborhood. Great beer with some good micro-brews. And the outdoors space is beautiful with a lot of seating. Strongly recommend checking it out.

Lisa K.

Yelp
Very cute place. Great outdoor seating and wonderful bartenders. Had a good selection of wine, drink slushies, and a selection of snacks.

Yelp
Very nice! I was my friend's +1 to a blog launching party here, and it was my first time at a cheese/meat bar in BK. Overall, the ambiance was great and the bartender who served us was really nice. It can get pretty cramped up, so try to secure a table against the wall, or go outside to the back patio if the weather's not too bad. Very chill atmosphere with cool staff.

Allyson P.

Yelp
Last Saturday, my fiancé and I held a couples' wedding shower at Tuffet. Everything was great, and we received many compliments on the event. Alicia and her staff were helpful and flexible in the preparation for the party. Their food was fresh and delicious. We had veggie plates, fruit plates and meat/cheese platters that were great. Both the burrata, tomato, pesto and salami, cheddar and fig jam sandwiches were delicious. We also had a potato salad, watermelon salad and bean/avocado salad which everyone enjoyed. We did a beer, wine and sangria bar and they have a great selection. Everyone loved the homemade sangrias, particularly the ginger pear flavor. I would definitely recommend Tuffet as a fun and convenient party venue!

Eoin O.

Yelp
neighborhood bar without the neighborhood friendliness let me start by saying i love tuffet. it's close, it has a good vibe, and it's consistent. the downside to the consistency however is a couple specific bartenders who go out of their way to make you feel unwelcome. the male bartender specifically is amazing at making you feel inconvenient to his shift here - be it with his dirty looks or walking away mid order. but hey, it is what it is... there are only so many places as convenient and close as the now defunct ore bar (rip). a note to him: i get it dude, living in NY is hard - it's grueling. but this is a service gig, maybe it's time to move back to Ohio.

Zach H.

Yelp
One of my favorite bars in the neighborhood. Great backyard. Great drinks. Great snacks. I also love most of the staff -- but wish the guy bartender was nicer. He seems to always be in a bad mood.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
Cozy little spot with great cheese. The menu has enough variety to try a few new things, but isn't overwhelmingly long. The herb chevre was incredible, and I loved the Bleu cheese from Wisconsin! The sangria comes in fun flavors, and honestly seems to be more of a cocktail than sangria. Our server was friendly and helpful. 10/10 would return.
google avatar

Polina B.

Yelp
We had our wedding reception at Tuffet a few weeks ago, and everything exceeded our expectations! Employees and owner Alicia were extremely helpful with the planning and on the day. All our guests absolutely loved the food and drinks, and the menu/bar options were quite unique yet delicious. Everybody had a wonderful time, thanks again - you'll sure see us and some of our guests again in the future!

Yelp
Best snacks in town, great atmosphere, and amazing staff! Short and simple cocktail menu with quality ingredients.
google avatar

Reena R.

Yelp
So the pros are this place is super cute and has great wine and cheese. The crowd tends to be more mature so it's not the kind of place you come to pick someone up. Plus they have Lambrusco!! Woo woo!!! The cons? I'm went on a Friday and it was dead. And they were playing the WORST old R & B. I'm talking Babyface, Luther Vandross, and Toni Braxton. I actually heard "Unbreak my heart". Nothing wrong with that music. But Friday night at a bar I'm not interested in listening to 90s heartbreak music. It's was actually really distracting and odd. It's Williamsburg. Play some indie or classic rock and call it a day.
google avatar

Rosa B.

Yelp
Was in town for a quick trip. My friend recently moved there so she luckily knew a couple hidden spots for us to check out and Tuffet was the best. We ordered cocktails, beers and of course a meat and cheese spread. Our inital plan was to eat light and grab dinner after but the platter hit the spot and was more than we expected and could have asked for both quantity and quality wise. There was a truffle salami that may have been one of the best things ive ever eaten. There is a cute outdoor space and inside is dimly lit which made perfect for our mood and outing. We ended up staying for hours and it was one of the highlights of our trip

Yelp
Yikes I must have come on an off night! The service was a real detractor. I'd give 5 stars for the atmosphere, this is a beautiful bar. Spacious and well decorated with lots of candles and good music. They have a backyard that might actually be heated somehow but, you know, it's January so I decided to just stay inside. They have a solid wine selection, a few interesting cocktails, a handful of good beer options and a full menu of cheeses and meats (plus some desserts and two sandwiches). I was interested to try The Other Sandwich (the vegetarian one) but they weren't serving it when I went so my friend and I split a two cheese platter ($11). This place is pricey for what you get. Our cheese plate was beautiful but we got a small cup of the chevre and a very, very small slice of the brie-like cheese from VT that we ordered. It comes with 4-5 peanuts, walnuts, and dried cranberries and a small spoonful of fig jam, along with a small dish of sliced and toasted breads. Like I said, you're going to need to spend quite a bit here if you're actually hungry but the cheese plate was delicious. Drinks were pretty good, my friend ordered a wine that she liked and I had the Winter Sangria, which was good but felt sort of weak. I'd stick to wine next time. The real issue here was the service. I came at about 10:15 on a Thursday and only one person seemed to be working at the bar. He saw me standing at the bar and took my drink orders but asked me to wait to give him my cheese order. He made the drinks and gave them to me and then walked off again, obviously overwhelmed with filling other drink orders. I stood there for about 10 minutes and could not get his attention. When I did, I asked if I could place an order for cheese and he asked me to wait two seconds and he'd come back. He seemed sort of apologetic but it was frustrating watching him take and fill orders while I stood there and waited (and I'm not picky about service!) This seemed to stem from the fact that they need to wear gloves to handle the food and setting up a cheese plate takes some time. Obviously more people should have been working and he should not have had to handle all the drink orders while also making food. Still, there was a pretentious attitude about this place and having such bad service definitely put me off.

Yelp
We had a baby shower at Tuffet this past weekend at Tuffet and it was incredible! First of all, the garden area is gorgeous!! The food was amazing; we had a buffet of salads, sandwiches, fresh fruit, veggies, 6 cheese dip, and an assortment of meats and cheeses. We also had an open beer, wine and sangria bar. They had 4 varieties of sangria and one was better than the next!! The service was also incredible!! The platters were refreshed all afternoon and the servers were very accommodating and friendly!! I would definitely choose Tuffet again for another party in the future!

Yelp
My new favorite place. My new favorite thing about this new favorite place. Their meat and cheese platter (for 2 options) is only $10. Completely and deliciously affordable. They're drinks aren't too shabby either. They have a nice-looking garden though I didn't go back there. There's seating at the bar, in the very front and along the wall. It's a small place, but intimate. It's definitely more of a date spot where you're not quite ready for the dinner but where the charcuterie won't make you break the bank if you choose to go to dinner. TLDR: Go here!
