Just had the most incredible green chili and chicken cream pasta at the Sawmill Market! The staff was incredibly friendly. The food was prepared in a matter of minutes, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Tulipani Pasta for a delightful and satisfying meal! Can't wait to visit again!

Google
Tulipani is the best it hits every time! I love the their pasta I also recommend the green chili chicken pasta. I promise you will not regret it!

Google
Delicious fresh made pasta. I had the Putanesca. It was spicy but absolutely delicious. My wife doesn’t like pasta and she ate about a third of my bowl. The serving is a very healthy portion.

Google
Fantastic pasta that you can tell is made with love! Very cheesy, and the lemon sauce was extra creamy. Tried a bite without the chicken, and found it to be very unique and tasty. Only took a star off as he said the chicken pieces were a little undercooked, and he had to take them out. Will try again soon and order something new.

Tulipani Pasta gave me the best dish I’ve had ALL YEAR! = Green chili and chicken cream pasta. Thank you!

Google
The truffle pasta at Tulipani was THE BEST pasta I’ve ever eaten. I will be dreaming about this pasta until we can return to ABQ. We got several dishes at Sawmill Market and they were all fantastic, but the pasta was our best bite of the night.

Google
At Sawmill I decided on trying Tulipani and got the lemon cream chicken pasta that additionally came with capers. It looked delicious, and the airy shredded parmesan on top was intriguing. What a disappointment. The pasta itself was slightly dry (versus al dente) and the chicken was both tough and dry. With some of the larger chicken pieces they were rubbery in addition to tough. The pasta was counter serve, so of course the chicken was not cooked fresh and had likely been sitting under a heat lamp or in some sort of warmer for some time. I wish I could say the sauce would have saved the pasta had the noodles and chicken not been dry, but it wouldn’t have even if those were moist. The sauce was… there. It wasn’t memorable either way. I think two stars is a fair assessment. The service was fine, the presentation interesting, and the food not unpalatable. But would I eat there again? No!

Google
We ordered lemon cream & green chile and both pastas are delicious! Especially love the green chile cause the little spicy kick makes it “fresh” with creaming sauce. Only wish that you can choose your own pasta types, or there are different types of pasta dishes you can choose from.

Yelp
Got the #1 most popular pasta dish... the green chili. Had a 3/10 on spice scale. Was amazing. They said 15 minutes and it came in 5 min. Overdeliver. Pasta was soooo fresh and tasted like it was made that day.

Yelp
I've stopped here a few times now and it's been pretty good! The food is served hot and fresh. I do wish there were more protein options. Currently, you can order any of the pastas and add chicken for an additional cost, but I'd love to be able to add shrimp. My favorite of the pastas I've tried is the pesto pasta served with chicken and tons of delicately shredded cheese.

Yelp
Very nice place, they have a very good menu of pastas per day, the price is pretty good they also have a selection of drinks. We try like 3 different pastas and the best one was the truffle one, also this is the first place when ai try the pesto pasta in marinara sauce and it was good, different but good. The place It's convenient for an afternoon with your family or friends when they all want different things because it's located inside of a very nice food court with a variety of good food. The staff seems very busy and probably that is why the girl who is taking the orders was not so nice but I hope that changes.

Yelp
You'd not expect to find food of this caliber at a tiny little mixed venue - BUT - Tulipani Pasta gave us the best dish we've had ALL YEAR! = Green chili and chicken cream pasta. Thank you!

Yelp
This market is super cute and once I saw housemade pasta I knew I was gonna get some. Mushroom truffle pasta was awesome, next time I'm gonna ask them to put some chicken in there and it would be perfection. Service was great, u order and they had u a little button and it goes off when it's ready. Fancy some pasta? They got great options.

Yelp
My daughter ordered this mini pasta shaped like pumpkins with zesty marina sauce and a squiggle of pesto and lots of cheese on top. It is called Pomodoro. Everything is made fresh, so we had to wait 15 minutes using a pager to know when ready. For such a small place, they sure can put together wonderful meal. It was big enough for 2 as we got stuff from other genders here in the Saw Mill Market. It was so delicious and worth the wait. Thank you.

Yelp
The green chile chicken cream pasta was sinfully delicious. They put just the right amount of hatch chilies inside, it was spicy enough to add a kick, but not too spicy to rule out most people enjoying it. The flavors were also quite delightful. The cream sauce wasn't too watery nor was it too thick, perfect consistency, flavor, and texture. We also tried the creamy lemon pasta and that one was not as good. The flavor wasn't bad but I feel like it was missing something to really bring it home. It was just okay. They also make their pasta fresh and sell them in bulk by the pound. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, and you get the ambiance of the sawmill market food court. I would definitely go back for the green chile chicken cream pasta.

Yelp
3.5 for the truffle and mushroom pasta. Good flavor, but not a lot of mushrooms. Portion size was perfect. Service was good, and the Sawmill is a great spot to grab a casual meal. Love that they have compostable containers... to bad Albuquerque doesn't have commercial compost. Perhaps the Sawmill could switch to reusable plates or bowls.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
The first posture is excellent and the dish with green hatch chilies Guess the right kind of spicy and since I'm in New Mexico I ate local ingredients.
google avatar

Rebecca F.

Yelp
Tulipani is my favorite spot in Sawmill! I always tell myself to try something new, but I can't get enough of this fresh pasta and amazing flavors. My go-to is the truffle pasta, and I'm obsessed with the generous topping of fresh grated cheese. The green chile chicken is also a good option if you're looking for something spicy. The lemon pasta is also great, so you really can't go wrong with any of their offerings.

Yelp
This place is located inside Sawmill Market. Service was friendly. I ordered the green chile chicken pasta (When in Rome, right?) I could tell that the pasta was very fresh and the chicken had a nice flavor. Unfortunately, it was SO incredibly spicy (very heavy on the red pepper flakes) that I literally couldn't even finish it, and I really wanted to enjoy my meal. I would go back but would try something else.
google avatar

Yelen P.

Yelp
I loved the green chile chicken pasta. Loved the spicy kick. The pasta was also cooked al denote - perfection. There was also a good amount of cheese shaved on top. Service: average, not the fastest, not too slow Ambiance: Sawmill is a fun place to walk around, and it was nice and warm enough to eat outside.
google avatar

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
The handmade pasta here caught my eye while I was browsing options at Sawmill Market. My husband and I shared the Green Chile Chicken. The chicken was a bit dry, but I loved the sauce. The green chile definitely had a kick. There were several other things I wanted to try, so I would come back again.
google avatar

Thao L.

Yelp
Located in Sawmill market. Delicious, creamy, intense flavor of truffle and mushrooms. The cook of the pasta is a perfect al dente.. not undercooked or overcooked pasta. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Anabel U.

Yelp
Have you ever wanted pasta without that "too full" feeling after? This is the place to fill that pasta fix. They make small batches of the pasta so it is cooked to perfection and the right portion. They then top it off with fresh cheese but feel free to ask for less or none at all. The sauce was light and creamy, with the right amount of seasoning. The chicken also was seasoned right but there wasn't the opportunity to add more to the dish. They are conveniently located as soon as you walk in and there is plenty of seating near by.

Yelp
I have been buying this pasta when the owner just had a booth at the farmers market. She would always give me ideas as to how to prepare her pasta and it was always fantastic. And now, I can actually experience her food the way it was intended. I am so happy she is now at SawMill market and almost exclusively eat there when I go. I want to try everything, yet I always turn back to get a warm bowl of pasta with homemade sauce. I just can't help myself. Pro-tip - the take and go cafe across from here sells wine by the glass.

Yelp
Place was awesome. The truffle and mushroom pasta was the perfect size for us to share and tasted delicious. Price was a little high but that's to be expected!

Yelp
Now THIS is pasta. I've had pasta from eataly in NYC to the bay area, and this spot is just as good/even better in my opinion. Prices are pretty affordable pasta-market wise, and was surprisingly blown away a bit by how good it was. All the food is via ordering at the booth and then eating it at a table nearby. Great energy and a lot of options inside the market. Came with a large group of friends, so we ordered the entire menu: Creamy Lemon (4/5): Sauce is a bit thick, very lemon zesty and tangy, and cheesier due to the slight bitterness from the lemon. Very filling and delicious. Pomodoro (4/5): if you love the classic pasta with a twist, this is perfect for you. Comes with a classic pomodoro red sauce that feels lighter than regular store-bought pasta sauce. It's very smooth except for the pistachio/pesto bits which spruced up the pasta overall. I'd recommend this option as a go-to! Truffle + Mushroom (5/5): if you love truffle and mushrooms, this is for you. The truffle flavoring is pretty strong, yet not overpowering. Compared to the other two, this pasta sauce is slightly thicker than the pomodoro yet lighter than the creamy lemon. I still dream of this pasta. As a non-local, was so cool to see all the options they had, and would gladly come back the next time I'm around!

Yelp
I ordered the lemon cream pasta! I love anything lemon, and it was delightful! The service seemed a bit lacking, in my opinion. I just hoped the staff to be a little bit friendlier. But as I said, great pasta, so I'd love to try another kind next time!

Yelp
I was first introduced to Tulipani at the grand opening of The Sawmill Market just days before the 2020 Covid lockdowns. Boy was I glad to have had the chance to see what was unfolding here... During the remainder of 2020, I was able to order bags of pasta online, and have it delivered at no charge which was such a generous and fantastic service, and, I have tried several variations. Most recently, I picked up a bag of spinach rigati in person at the Sawmill Market, and ordered the Pomodoro to go *that famous tulipani pasta shape, basil tomato sauce with burrata and pistachio pesto topped with crushed pistachios* - it was delicious. This is a very special place, and it's an absolute pleasure to continue to support this local business.
google avatar

Eliza H.

Yelp
I ordered the Creamy Lemon Pasta and it did not disappoint. The service was swift and the pasta was high quality. You can taste all the fresh ingredient that's topped with the most decadent parmesan.
google avatar

Diane A.

Yelp
Second time coming here but the pasta was different this time. Regardless, both times and both styles were very good. Cooked made to order, cannot beat that. I had the Creamy Lemon pasta without capers and it was perfect. If you enjoy a full lemon taste then order this if your looking for a hint of lemon, don't. I asked the server/cook what he preferred and he shrugged his shoulders. After I ordered a second dish which was their special, green chili chicken he then said that was his favorite dish. I thought it was odd that he decided to finally offer an opinion after I ordered. The chili was not hot at all but it did offer a good flavor to the dish. The red pepper they add is also not hot. A mild dish for sure. I would have appreciated Oscar having a bit more friendlier customer service otherwise the food will not disappoint.

Yelp
Located in the center of the saw mill right where I need it! They carry a wide variety of local brewery beers. The servers are always knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions you might have. There is plenty of clean seating and parking available. Bathrooms are clean as well. They are surrounded by some great eateries for you to enjoy as well!! Remember to always tip your servers!!!

Yelp
I absolutely love the pasta here!! The pasta they have is uniquely shaped and absolutely delicious and interesting to eat. I like to order the green chile chicken with its touch of New Mexican flavor. They never skimp on sauce or cheese. Every time I go to Sawmill I consider trying new things, but always go back to Tulipani's and don't regret it afterwards. A must try!
google avatar

Yelp
Omg this place is to die for! Absolutely delicious and pleasant, quick service!!! We tried both the pomodoro and the creamy lemon and both were served on their signature tulipani pasta. The creamy lemon was perfectly balanced and the chicken was tender and juicy. The pomodoro was a flavor explosion with basil tomato sauce, smooth and tart burrata, pesto drizzle and pistachios across the top! We weren't interested in any of the drinks they had on offer. Tip: get complimentary glasses of water across the hall at the mercantile Excited for them to get some different pastas back in stock to try but we will back even if they don't!

Yelp
Ordered the green chile chicken pasta. It was really good. The flavor was perfect a the chile was delicious. Loved the type of pastas this place serves. So unique and fresh. It was so nice to get out and enjoy a warm day at the Sawmill Market today. Enjoyed it with some Elephants on Parade.

Yelp
I've been to Tulipani twice now. The first time I got the pomodoro (basil tomato sauce, burrata, pistachio pesto, and chopped pistachios). For $12.95, the price wasn't bad and plenty for the price. The cream balanced perfectly with the spice of the tomato. Orders were out prompt. The second time I tried the creamy lemon (lemon parmiagno cream sauce, chicken, capers), which wasn't one of my favorites out of the choices. The lemon was very subtle, but the flavor of the capers was too sharp of a contrast to the lightness. As I was going up to the counter to get a lid for my bowl, the guy at the counter wanted to know if I wanted an extra pasta. He had made an extra green chile cream (green chile cream sauce, chicken breast, pecorino sheep's cheese) for himself, but wasn't hungry anymore. Actually, this was perfect because I had a hard time deciding between the green chile and the lemon cream in the first place. The green chile had just the right amount of heat, so this one was right up there with the pomodoro. Next, I will conquer the Amatriciana (spicy tomato sauce, pancetta, seasoned breadcrumbs, pecorino, chives). 2021 #9

Yelp
Our trip to sawmill market Is a gastronomic delight. But it also presents a dilemma - what to eat? Everything looked and sounded delicious. I settled on Lemon Pappardelle. Not solely because of my love of pasta, but the creamy lemon sauce - it sounded good. I was not disappointed, it tasted as good as it sounded. Homemade pasta(their specialty is small batches of handmade pasta) covered with a creamy lemon pesto style sauce. The lemon flavor is evident, but not overpowering. A definite stop deserving of at least a return trip.

Yelp
We had the kids buttered noodles which were amazing!!! I can't wait to try their other dishes!

Yelp
What's the statute of limitations on reviewing an experience? I have no idea, but I'm about to drop a memory from March 10, 2020. That was the day the Sawmill Market opened and it was the last day of the year I ventured out of my house without worrying about an invisible foe. Myself and a homegirl eventually settled on grabbing lunch at this teensy tiny pasta shop in the Market, for two reasons: the line to order was pretty short and "Whoa, look at the color of that pasta!" I cannot tell you precisely what the tulip-shaped, yam-hued orbs of hand-made pasta was sauced up with, can't remember and frankly it wasn't very potent, it just accented noods that were clearly made just minutes before I picked up the dish. The meal was memorable enough to stick with me seven months later, and I'll note this, which continues to be true around the Duke City, in general: it's very hard to find truly great noodles in this metro, anywhere. Tulipani is a rare, welcome and exciting exception.
google avatar

Kamie H.

Yelp
The best restaurant in sawmill by far. I don't really crave pasta when eating out, but this place is one of the few exceptions. The mushroom and truffle pasta is everything I want in a sauce, creamy, rich and buttery. I absolutely adore their homemade noodles. The shape is so fun but also grabs onto the sauce so every bite if full of flavor. And it's cooked with the perfect amount of chew. Go try it!
google avatar

Nikke A.

Yelp
Walking into Sawmill is always an overwhelming experience - especially if you don't know what you are going to order. Today, I did not know what I was going to order. But, something called me to order pasta. The truffle and mushroom pasta were to die for. The sauce blended perfectly with the homemade pasta. I only added red chile flakes because I wanted some spice. Don't pass this pasta place by! My only regret is not buying some pasta from I take home.
google avatar

Emily R.

Yelp
Tulipani is my local pasta favorite. I've tried both the pomodoro and the spicy tomato/pancetta pasta and both were incredible - both had amazing flavor and a great mix of textures. I would have to say if you're a first timer though, pomodoro is the place to start! The menu is small (3 entrees) but they excel at what they have. And there are quite a few options of pastas you can buy to make at home!

Jeffrey P.

Yelp
Wow, I had the Lemon Cream Pasta. Served hot, delicious, and a generous helping! You can also buy their greah pasta to take home.
google avatar

Lincoln S.

Yelp
Tulipani is all about quality, great user/customer experience, and feeling connected to their mission -- no matter who you are. They have a wholesome brand and are clearly led by intelligent staff and a thoughtful chef/leadership team. Bottom line: You cannot go wrong with ordering anything on the menu based on quality ingredients, friendly staff, and a great price point for the tastes you get.
google avatar

Craig B.

Yelp
this place was amazing. got the truffle pasta and am thinking about it 3 days later. their pasta is absolutely amazing and sauce was extremely flavorful.
google avatar

Jose O.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I loved this place! It was probably the best meal we had on our trip to Albuquerque. Both dishes we ordered were infinitely better than any traditional New Mexican cuisine we had.
google avatar

James G.

Yelp
This was the fourth time we ordered the green Chile cheese ravioli. It is great. They usually do not have it , except frozen, so ask for it and take it home. Just the right amount of heat!

tmara c.

Yelp
Mushroom and truffles is the BEST !! Have eaten there twice, once last year and once this yr during the balloon fiesta. Happy to see it is going strong. Ordering for shipment.
google avatar

Janelle M.

Yelp
Simply one of the best places at Sawmill! It has become my go to and sadly usually by the time I remember to take pictures I'm already have way done. So far my favorite is the green Chile pasta a perfect combination of cheese, green Chile and pasta. In second place is their creamy lemon pappardelle pasta, which is bright, savory, and I love that taste of the capers along with the sweetness of the sauce. Its amazing how delicious it all tastes and while it is above $10 per plate its worth it to splurge on cause you will leave satisfied and wanting to come back! The amazing homemade pasta not only tastes good but it looks AWESOME in pictures.
google avatar

Storm D.

Yelp
Easily one of my favorite places at Sawmill. While I like to try the different restaurants, this one is definitely my go to. I especially love their creamy lemon pasta, and they're always nice enough to make it without capers for me! As someone who loves pasta but can't have tomatoes it can be difficult to find good pasta dishes I can eat, so I'm really glad this place offers some! I've heard from other people that their tomato sauce based dishes are great too. I'm a fan of Sawmill in general, and this place is so cute. I keep meaning to try the fresh pasta to take home and make dishes with yourself.
google avatar

Alec B.

Yelp
It's between a 3 and a four. The pesto, pistachio, and tomato pasta was good but lacking. I think it needed some sausage in there to complete the flavors.
google avatar

Tristan H.

Yelp
I have visited here twice with my wife. In two visits I have had the creamy lemon pasta 3 times. Probably my favorite pasta dish that I've ever had
google avatar

Kami H.

Yelp
We needed some fresh pasta for my efforts at making Marcella Hazan's tomato, onion and butter sauce. Tulipani to the rescue! We wanted some tube type pasta, so got the rigati. Some of the others looked so good we got them, too. It's all pre-packed and frozen with simple directions. It was terrific! Excited to try the two flavors in the freezer. Plus, everyone was very helpful and friendly.
google avatar

Annie M.

Yelp
Great place! When I go to Sawmill market this is one of my go to stops. Their pasta is super fresh, especially early in the day. Get some to go for just $7 and make a gourmet pasta at home! Anything on the menu is great and they're faster at preparing your food than a lot of the other businesses at Sawmill. Servings are hearty and flavorful. Perfect for a chilly fall day! My favorite so far has been their truffle mushroom pasta. Give em a try!
google avatar

Margo D.

Yelp
One of the best Puttanesca sauces I've ever had! So pleasantly surprised. The spice was perfect, ingredients fresh. Superb!
google avatar

Roberta S.

Yelp
This is a small Italian restaurant that sells its fresh pasta to take home and features one delicious fresh entree at lunch and another at dinner. They are simple but delicious and fresh! The staff is excellent! You order, wait for your order claim it and find a seat inside or outside the Sawmill Market!

JD D.

Yelp
Great taste but the beautiful blond cashier was rude. My wife asked for a sample of the green chili white Sauce and she said we don't do that. I asked for extra sauce and chili on a separate order and she said we don't do that. Just plain Rude, No. What's the point of having a restaurant if you're not there for your customers. I won't be coming back that's for sure and I won't refer anybody else either.
