Amazing tuna food. Service far away from excelence. I do not want to be disrespectful, their food and hundreds of tuna variations is really good. Tuna cutting experience? Yes, huge tuna on the table, cutting, watching, learning for 2 hours. My feedback for improvement: - when your experience is only in spanish language, tou should inform about this when people are buying on english version of your website - when you have 30 hungry guests arriving at 19:00, letting them starve for first 2 hours of experience (only with two spoons of “amouse buche” directly from the tuna on the table) is pure not caring about the guests - when hearing feedback about two hours starving in person, you could act better. But we ve got not really polite care and immidiately we felt hostile instead. - so we ate all the courses and left. I heard, that this is “spanish” tradition, but I do not agree. I ve experienced this only in Barcelona. And even here, I was in amazing restaurant with amazing service, with amazing hospitality (slow & low with Michelin star). So dear Tunateca, Balfego has amazing product, try to have amazing hospitality as well. You can definitely do better.

In one word - Amazing!!! My friend and I went to their sushi cooking class and had the best experiences! If you love sushi, love cooking and enjoy fine dining- don't skip!

We ordered a menu, but wow an experience! Great service. Nice place! Fantastic food experience. Only bad thing to say it there was too much food in the menu. Best recommendations from my end. If you like sushi, Japanese food and tuna 🙏

Tunateca Balfegó is owned by the Balfegó company which sustainably farms bluefin tuna near Tarragona and distributes their fish to restaurants around the world. Tunateca serves a tasting menu of their tuna served in both Japanese and Western preparations. I loved my meal. The tuna is of the highest quality and all the preparations showcase the fish without overwhelming it. Where else can you find a restaurant that serves an all tuna menu? Maybe in Japan. If you're visiting Barcelona, Tunateca is one of my top suggestions. Some of the most interesting dishes: Tuna carpaccio Sashimi with 3 different cuts: akami, chutoro, otoro. I actually liked the chutoro the most, even more than otoro. Tuna sobrassada Paté with cured tuna heart Stew of tuna cheek I had the shorter tasting menu at €93, which is a great value. The award-winning design of the dining room is creative yet tasteful in a Mediterranean theme with a school of tuna swimming above you.

Simply incredible experience. The finest quality tuna, served with creativity and skill. The dishes were incredibly well balanced and the flavor of the tuna was king. The wine choices were also very extensive and really good. Would definitely recommend to go for the red menu to have the best experience with a nice wine pairing.

Great experience, amazing food. 2nd time visiting Tunateca with almost flawless experience. Good ambience, music is not too loud. The service is great, and most importantly the food is just on point. Everything is super fresh and delicious. The red menu is quite large so if you are not that hungry I would recommend the blue one. Had one issue with a small piece of plastic is one of the dishes from the wrap they used for shrimps, but upon complained they apologised and discounted our drinks from the bill, so can’t complain on how they have addressed it. Overall, highly recommend this place, especially if you are a fan of tuna

I went there for my 11th anniversary, with my boyfriend. We were seated in a black small room that was loud, not blue and beautiful like the pictures, the food was mediocre, it was very typical, I could have been to an all you can eat sushi for 20 euros and I could have gotten better service and better food. Honestly. I regret going to this place. I normally love Michelin restaurants, but ai lost a lot of faith in them after my visit to Tunaraci

If you arrive later than 10pm you will not be able to taste the set menus (red-blue), however, the waiter built a menu for us from the a la carte menu. We started with the trio of tuna (I had better sashimi in other places), the nigiris are very tasty and they recommend eating then with your hands and upside down so the tuna is in your tongue. The seaweed bocadito is tasty, especially the smoked eel on top enhances the flavours. The carpaccio is not something I would recommend. The solomillo of tuna with foie was tasty and well cooked. The dessert was correct.
