This is hands down the best lentil soup and baklava I’ve had in the U.S.! The owner is absolutely lovely. The soup was incredibly flavorful—it tasted just like something my mom would make. The Turkish delights were also fresh and delicious. Everything felt homemade and full of love.

The vegan red lentil soup is out of this world! It tasted so good, I could cry. I smelled the soup from the street and decided to check it out. I don't know what they did with the red lentil soup, but it's the perfect combination of everything: saltiness, flavor, and texture. The spices were ground to the perfect level of fineness, so you'd occasionally taste a bigger chunk of cumin or other spices for a bolder flavor, while most of the time, it's creamy and smooth. The vegetarian gyro/sandwich was amazing as well (note: the pita bread does contain whey). The portion was generous, and the prices were very reasonable. With eating out being so pricey these days, I’m grateful for that. I'm also glad that they marked the vegetarian options to be cheaper than the counterparts, which is how it's supposed to be. (Update: they can make a vegan platter without the pita bread, and use a hummus sauce instead of the yogurt sauce. It tasted just as delicious!) We ended up buying two quarts of refrigerated lentil soup to take home. We paired the soup with the savory vegan filled puff pastries from Piroshky Piroshky—holy moly, I was transcended! (Update: I had a total of 32 oz of the lentil soup in one day, yet the image of that soup still kept popping into my head while watching TV. It's not an exaggeration to call it liquid gold!) To my surprise, their Turkish delight candies are also vegan. They are super fruity and flavorful, and they're made by hand on-site. I love the lychee one and all of them tasted superb. On top of all this, the owner and her daughter are incredibly friendly and kind. They showed me a photo of them in front of the Piroshky storefront, which was their previous location. In the photo, the mom is holding her daughter, who was still a child at the time, in her arms. It was such a lovely and moving image. They have been at the Pike Place Market for decades. I'm so glad they survived all the turmoil and truly appreciate them for bringing such delicious plant-based foods to us. They are a small family business in a touristy location, so if the service is a bit slower or less personal during rush hours, it's totally understandable. Let's all be kind to each other and appreciate the hard work, amazing culture, and incredible food they have gifted us. I can't wait to go back! (Update: I went back after weeks and they even remembered my name. Turkish Delight is definitely one of my favorite places in Seattle!) For parking, there is the affordable Pike Place Market garage nearby. $5 per hour up to 4 hours, and $26 for 4 to 10 hours.

It's not about the atmosphere. It's all about the food. Go to this place. The two girls behind the counter were super sweet and accommodating. Made me what I wanted and it wasn't on the menu. Incredible lamb stew and chicken salad. Their yogurt sauce is to die for. Don't miss out on this gem tucked away north of the Pike place market.

Google
We found this place just as we were about to give up and walk away from Pike's Place hungry. On a hunch I asked them if they were halal and they were. We were very close to closing time but they served us fresh food anyways. The food was yummy and delectable. The owners were amazing. Thank you for your kindness and the amazing food.

Baklava is out of this world. Both walnut and pistachio baklava are amazing. Would highly recommend stopping by and enjoying freshly baked baklava.

Google
This is probably one of our favorite food spots in Seattle. Excellent food and friendly service from the sweet family who owns (works) in the store. Whenever we are visiting Seattle, we try to go a couple times because the quantity and quality is worth fighting the crowds near the Pike Place Market. Today we ordered the chicken Döner Kebab and the Chicken Combo Platter (chicken over rice with salad and yogurt dressing). The chicken was very flavorful! The yogurt sauce was nice and tangy. While we waited for the food we also got some Pistachio Baklava and a Turkish Espresso. (They have walnut baklava too).

Google
The lamb stew! You must stop in and try it. As their description reads, it melts in your mouth! The lamb stew at Turkish Delights is a must try if you’re at the Pike Place Market. It had me dancing and humming! Soooo soooo delicious!

Miguel Bautista, JR.

Google
The lamb stew was incredible! Melted in your mouth and full of flavor. I would visit Seattle again just to have this again. The baklava was great too. I was introduced to Turkish food when I deployed to the region after the earthquakes. The people shared so many dishes that I never had before or was to afraid to try, since then I have craved some of these dishes. This place delivered and I understand why the line was around the corner. I didn't try to the Turkish delights but maybe on another trip for sure. The service was great and there is some seating inside but plenty outside. Worth checking out.

Yelp
Over the counter service was fast but friendly. The baklava was excellent. The Lamb stew combo plate was fantastic and plentiful. Their menu is short but what they do have is prepared with pride and will not disappoint. They are located in the busy tourist area by pike place but the ambiance is still quaint.

Yelp
TDLR: food and staff are a true delight ! Food is well balanced between meat, carbs, veggies, and sauce. Can't wait to go back to try the lamb & Turkish delight desserts ! Walked by this place one day and was drawn in by how good it smelled. First time visit, we got the döner kebab sandwich and the chicken combo plate (they ran out of the lamb), a cup of lentil soup, and a yogurt drink. Lentil soup was thick and slightly sour. Never had a lentil soup like it and it was delicious! A perfect appetizer to start off the meal. Yogurt drink was also slightly tangy and salty. Plate comes with rice topped with chicken, plus a side of salad with raw red onions, tomatoes, and hummus, all topped with yogurt sauce. Could mix all together and eat like a bowl OR eat each part separately. I also recommend buying an extra pita bread to enjoy the side salad and hummus in. There is some seating along the wall but not much. Probably fits about 3 groups of 4. Workers were mom and daughter and were some of the sweetest people I've ever met. You can tell they really care about their food and their customer service. Highly, highly recommend !

Yelp
2 Wonderful, warm, women served us Lentil soup, Baklava, and Turkish coffee. All were SUPERB. Lentil soup was like straight from a farm feeling, the Baklava was sticky, gooey, and not too sweet. Turkish coffee with a tad added sugar was perfect. AND, even if none of the dishes were good, the 2 women working would make us go back to give them business. Just wonderful. We went 30 minutes before closing and next time we will go early enough to try the Lamb stew which sells out fast. I've past by this place a million times, I apologize for not coming in earlier. It will be a 98% stop in whenever walking Pike Place Market again.

Yelp
The food here was great, but the most impressive part was the Turkish coffee or as they call it Turkish espresso. This coffee brewing method is my favorite coffee method and Turkish Delight here in Seattle is the first place outside of a home where I've had it done correctly. They truly take care to ensure that they serve you the same coffee they would be proud to serve their family.

Yelp
Holy Moly this place is outstanding!!! My husband says 10 stars, if that's possible. This family run spot has everything- great food, great customer service, and a sense of community. It was refreshing to witness the friendly staff engage with everyone who came in. The service felt like you were at home. Even though they were clearly busy, they took the time to engage with everyone. The food delivered the same level of energy as the amazing family. Fresh and full of flavor, this was the best meal of our whole trip. So much so, we had to go back to thank them. I was skeptical of a place in such a tourist spot; however, the reviews convinced us to try it. We were not disappointed. I honestly can't recommend this place enough.

Yelp
Not a bad place to have a Turkish coffee! They make it really sweet and strong, so be ready! The restaurant felt a little cramped, some of the empty tables were a bit dirty and appeared a little neglected. However, the coffee was good! I might try this place next time I'm in Seattle...hopefully they'll clean their tables by then!

Yelp
The food is amazing, service is spectacular- ambiance is cute it's perfect for the downtown location quintessential Seattle . I smelled the food before I saw it, and followed the wonderful smell. Check the hours I think they are closed on Mondays maybe? The prices are so reasonable and I can say everything always been excellent. They don't take cards so bring cash.!"Lentil soup, lamb stew, baklava it's all authentic-

Yelp
After seeing this restaurant on my first full day in Seattle, I knew I had to try something from them. I ended up getting there the next day for a late lunch. The line moved relatively quickly and those with more complicated orders moved off to the side to wait while their orders were filled to make room for the next customer. There was an older and younger woman working and when I got up to the counter I was helped by the older of the two. Both of them seemed very friendly and I know that I received excellent service when ordering. I ordered a small cup of the lamb stew, as I do love lamb and hadn't had any in a while, and it wasn't long between placing my order, paying in cash (they take card as well but I try my best to use cash when supporting local/small businesses), and then receiving my order to go. The restaurant was clean and fairly quiet with those dining in and those getting orders to go, but it was such a lovely day I wanted to go find a good spot outside they do have seating inside and roll up windows, great for how sunny it was at the time, but I wanted to be completely outside). I ended up at a public bench not too far away and finally dug into the stew. It was fresh, flavorful, hearty, and hot! One of my favorite things I had in Seattle. Very meaty, with each morsel of lamb being nice and tender. I highly recommend stopping here for some flavorful food.

Yelp
We love this place. The main reason we come to Seattle. So delicious! It is a simple "mom & pop" type shop with the BEST food. It is a hidden gem. Right near the end of Pike Market area across the street from the park. A MUST STOP!!!
google avatar

Caroline M.

Yelp
So delicious. My office is nearby so I eat here a lot. The lentil stew with chicken and rice is so flavorful and beautifully spiced it's hard to want anything else. However their doner kebabs and lamb stew are fantastic too!!
google avatar

Steve T.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! Had the lentil soup and added chicken. One of the best dishes I've ever tasted. Hummus solid also.
google avatar

Semra Q.

Yelp
Just like in its name this place was such a delight! Definitely recommend adding this place to your list if ever visiting pike place! The service was so nice and friendly. Semra is so heartwarming and welcoming as she makes conversation with every person while taking their order. I got the doner kabeb sandwich and it was full of flavor and super filling! Bonus points for being HALAL. It's so hard finding halal eats in pike place - this place will not disappoint! Seating is limited most people were standing and eating in the shop but great for a grab and go situation.
google avatar

Hnin T.

Yelp
This was a little Turkish shop along the streets of pike place and it was absolutely delightful. We went to go get some Turkish delights which were little soft fruit desserts. The lychee and rose were delicious. The ladies who work there were super friendly and nice. They also had a bunch of delicious lunch items too!
google avatar

MarkAndMiranda C.

Yelp
This local spot in Pike Place Market has amazing food and is family owned. So good, so local, so go! I suggest the lentil soup!

T M.

Yelp
A pleasant surprise in downtown Seattle. We loved our vegetarian wraps and the lamb stew (albeit a bit too sweet). The old lady was extremely friendly and even gave us some Turkish delights for free. Oh their pistachio baklava was as good as the best ones we had in Turkey. Will def come back! Tip: grab food to go then eat at the Overlook public area with the best ocean view!
google avatar

K R.

Yelp
What a delight to find terrific Turkish food in the pnw! I can't even deduct a star for the set up, there were tables turned over, not looking very inviting and put together but the food and service make this place absolutely terrific. Introduced my friend to the world of Döner Kebap and was not disappointed. Would have liked to see more veggie options for the filling, but it was great nonetheless!
google avatar

Jay F.

Yelp
The Staff: They are so kind and wonderful! They are super heartwarming and welcoming! I also love the Pike Place community and I witnessed a fellow business owner came by to visit just to deliver flowers! What a great post-mothers day celebration! I love the energy here :) Turkish Delights Omg I am so surprised how soft the candies were! I ended up buying more of each flavors to bring home! Lamb Combo Great quality! I would rather have you go there and try it yourself because my words wouldn't be enough to describe how good they are! Turkish Coffee The espresso is very rich. I would definitely come back for this. I FORGOT TO BUY THEIR COFFEE TO TAKE HOME-- woops! Well, that's another reason for me to come back! Wee Thank you again!!!
google avatar

Nija M.

Yelp
One of the most favorite places to eat at Pike Place Market. Delicious lamb stew, chicken kebab and walnut baklava (baklava is rather smallfor the price). Family business we love to support but they really need to hire more help on the weekends to make service faster. ‍
google avatar

Benny T.

Yelp
The food is great, the woman who work up front are super nice. The service is just extremely slow. I work in the market and i only have thirty minutes to get food and eat; I've tried calling to place an order on the phone or just waiting in line and it's kind of not an option anymore. If you have the time definitely go

Marie N.

Yelp
Food was delicious. They offered us (4 people) free lentil soup. It was soooo good! It was a typical October rainy day and felt warming. Their welcoming was worm. Our visitors from France said that they thought we are close friends. They met us as a friends. We got free Turkish delight, too! I definitely would recommend this place and return. The place is a little cozy but wasn't crowded.
google avatar

Rebecca Q.

Yelp
The sweetest lady working behind the counter enthusiastically took our order and made friendly conversation, even though we came in 10 min before closing. Ordered a 1/2 pound for ~$13 and fulfilled my childhood chronicles of Narnia dreams.
google avatar

Heidy J.

Yelp
Located at the end of pike place. Husband & I decided to try something new we would not find back home. First impression was how welcoming they were. Felt the warmth of the place, like I was at my moms house. I tried the lamb stew & the flavor and softness of the lamb was delicious! Tried their Lokum, made with honey and cornstarch. Super delicious! Thank you!
google avatar

Ingvarda B.

Yelp
The most delicious food, so yummy, flavorful, and healthy at a reasonable price! The people who own this shop are wonderful, kind and thoughtful and this food is a weekly comfort for us locals! We often bring it home too for the days the shop is closed. Patience and kindness are needed as slow cooked food and this level of service take some time--it soooo worth it! Try it!
google avatar

Kali C.

Yelp
I've never had Turkish food before this, but I'm so glad I stopped! I got a vegetable sandwich for myself, my favorite part was the yogurt sauce. My husband got the döner kabob sandwich. He said it had a good flavor! We both agreed the pita was the best part. So good! We also got the pistachio baklava....drool. I wish I had bought more. Entire meal was fantastic and the two women working were SO nice. The place is small but we were able to sit at a booth and enjoy our meal and some time away from crowds. We will stop again next time we are in Seattle!
google avatar

Lori S.

Yelp
Reviewed on behalf of my Cousin Izzy! I love this place! Super nice people and very big family feel. The line was pretty long and she gave us free samples of the rose Turkish delight which was amazing! Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Ashok S.

Yelp
This is one of the Market's best food treasures! Try the chicken shawarma. Everything here is homemade and delicious. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The desserts are a treat to watch and also enjoy like the baklava. And do try their great turkish coffee. Be ready to wait for them to prepare it. They were generous enough to offer a second pour.
google avatar

Moriah L.

Yelp
Had to come here after watching Narnia! I passed by after visiting the 1st Starbucks. The owner is so friendly. She gave recommendations and we ordered rose, raspberry, and passion fruit. Turkish delight has a light and chewy taste. Definitely recommend the original rose flavor!
google avatar

Blind Watchmaker A.

Yelp
Just the most fantastic and authentic food . Best Shawarma I've had in Seattle , lentil soup that is to die for and everything I've had is so authentic and delicious (and made with love by the lovely friendly owner). One of my favorite places to eat . And of course they make their own Turkish Delight too ...
google avatar

Oscar L.

Yelp
Stopped here for some turkish delight and have to say I was quite delighted with the little treats. Highly recommend the rose flavored one, as that is the classic. The owner was also very kind and patient and gave great recommendations for flavors.

Mai D.

Yelp
must try: lamb soup. you will never regret that decision. i fell in love with that soup at first sight!!! i wont forget about it for the rest of my life. also, the old lady is very nice, welcomed, and makes me feel like grandma. she is lovely. food and service are lovely. i cant wait to go back
google avatar

Jason G.

Yelp
I went back to Turkish Delight to see if they were still 5 stars and yes indeed they are truly 5 star worthy. The baklava was so delicious, sweet flaky, gooey, and just the right amount of chewiness. The lentil soup and lamb stew are also still the best that you'll ever have.

Greg M.

Yelp
Came in on a busy Sunday afternoon. Seems like a small shop and the older lady took our order quickly. Since this is at the pike marketplace, you're probably going to be waiting in line for a bit. The Turkish expresso was great, but reminder that there're grounds at the bottom of the cup. Baklava was amazing, and the Turkish delights were definitely worth the wait. Firm in the container but melts in your mouth and the flavor comes through. Wishing I bought more
google avatar

Jennifer Q.

Yelp
The Lentil soup Delish !!! And there Pita to pair with it perfect . Little but cozy customer service 100%
google avatar

Eric F.

Yelp
Food: 4.5. Came by for a lunch on a Sunday. There was a short line but it moved quickly. We ordered the Doner Kebab Sandwich and Lamb Combo Platter with Extra lrotein. Food took some time but was provided at the right temperature. My sandwich was excellent. Such good flavor even though not beef, pork, or lamb. I'm not much of a chicken person but this sandwich was so tasty. Nice flavor and texture. My brother said the lamb platter was very good. Service was very friendly. This place is more of a takeout restaurant. There are booths but not very comfortable Service: 4.5 Ambiance: 3 Value: 3.5

Nicole M.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place since I was a kid. While I miss their chicken and mushroom borek to this day, I can't fault anything I've ordered. And the service! This is a true family run business, with a mother and daughter team running the counter. They always greet repeat customers with genuine pleasure, and are deeply invested both the food and service. I usually get the chicken gyro, which is delicious, but the lentil soup and lamb stew are both excellent as well. If I were to give one critique, it would be to bring back the borek, though I've been assured that if I were to do a mass order, they'd make it for me again.
google avatar

Abha S.

Yelp
Cute little hidden treasure near Pikes palace. Wonderful homemade selection of Turkish delight. Very charming cafe which seems family owned. Polite service
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Just delicious! All fresh food with amazing flavors! Not to mention how friendly and inviting the owner and staff are to everyone. A must eat at Pike Street. You will be back!
google avatar

Richard U.

Yelp
I come here for the delicious lamb stew! You can get this served by the cup or bowl as well as served over rice. The lamb is very tender and has chunks of eggplant and other vegetables in there. The Turkish delights are also a big reason people come here. There is not much seating available so I usually take mine to go. Perfect warm treat while you graze the market!
google avatar

Beata K.

Yelp
This in one of the best Döner Kebabs I have ever tasted. So fresh, you see your meat cut off the döner as you watch it spinning. Order it as they recommend it - such a wonderful combination of flavors. Enjoy your food or dessert and Turkish coffee wile watch busy live of Pike Place Market. The family run business marking you feel so welcome - I love them. I know this will sound funny but I will say it anyway because this place made me feel home I grew up in Sweden, and we have a wonderful Swedish-Turkish population, and this brings amazing perks of fabulous food. Turkish Delight reminds me about wonderful, fresh from the döner meats I had privileged to grew up with - thank you for making my belly so happy today.
google avatar

Craig H.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been here but eating at another restaurant of the same name in Anchorage made me think of here. I've only eaten here once and tried another time but they were closed. I recall fondly that I had probably the best Döner sandwich I've ever had here. The woman who worked here was so sweet. My daughter commented warmly that our food was prepared with so much love. I highly recommend this place if you're near Pike's Place.
google avatar

Claire W.

Yelp
SUPER good. Honestly one of the best doner kebabs and lamb stews I've ever had!!! The owner also let us sample her lentil soup, and I'm obsessed- if I weren't already so full, I would have gotten a huge bowl. Must visit spot when you're in Pike Place!!! They also sell homemade baklava and a lot of differently flavored Turkish delights. Thank you!!
google avatar

Brad H.

Yelp
My idea of Turkish delights is Applets and Cotlets, which I love. These are the real deal, however. They are delicate in flavor and in texture. Offered in 1/4 lbs. and 1/2 lbs., I opted for 1/2 lbs. with all the flavors they currently had. There was pistachio, rose, strawberry, walnut, peach, and chocolate raspberry. All were fabulous. I love how mom and daughter were working the counter and dad was in the back making the delights. Mom and daughter clearly love their shop and what they were doing and are a "Turkish delight" in of themselves. There are also food items available on their menu. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
google avatar

Reiko K.

Yelp
Turkish Delight is a MUST. This delightful specialty shop makes the most delicious Turkish delights and baklava. I love bringing these home with me. The turkish delights have soft and delicate flavors--exactly the treat I imagine that Edmund indulged in while with the White Witch in Narnia. This shop has been open since 1982 and I am beyond thrilled to be back after the pandemic to find them still here and thriving! The owner is welcoming, friendly and kind. Make your walk all the way down to the very end of the street when visiting Pike Place. Enjoy a lovely treat with coffee or grab a nice kebab or shewarma here. delights: 1/4 lb for $6.25 and 1/2 lb for $12.50 They are wonderful gifts.
google avatar

Amy C.

Yelp
Oh my dear God. The lentil soup. The pistachio baklava. The Turkish coffee. The woman who runs the place. The vibe of it all. I'm a pretty picky eater (I like to cook and I tend to cook my own over going out for fear of spending on disappointment) but I went rogue today and I AM SO GLAD I DID. The spices! The flavors! The smile that the woman who runs this heavenly bodega put on my face! I think I've died and gone to heaven. I think I'll die and go again next week.
google avatar

Kierra P.

Yelp
The lamb stew is such a comfort food. Filled with rich flavor and cooked with love, handed to the school person with care. The ambiance was causal, there were only 3 booths but plenty of standing food counters. I also recommend the baklava.
google avatar

Liz N.

Yelp
Probably one of the best doner kebab sandwiches I've ever had. Really sweet owners as well, you can tell they actually care about their business.

Yelp
There are so many wonderful options to choose from at Pike Place in Seattle, Washington. During our most recent visit, we tried several more places for the first time. One of the places we tried for a quick bite was Turkish Delight. We got there early and beat the crowds! Since we wanted to try several places that day, Wifey and I shared. We had their Lamb Stew, and it was delightful to eat. Full of flavorful yummyness. Wish we had tried their actual Turkish Delights. Will have to do that next time. Anyways, for a good affordable meal in Seattle, give Turkish Delights a try.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
My friend came back from a visit to Turkey with Turkish Delight to share, so I had to check them out. Doner Kebab Sandwiches are awesome. Cut straight off the cooker. Turkish espresso is STRONG, will wake you up. Highly recommended.

Jo W.

Yelp
I love turkish delight! The old lady who works here was so sweet and worked hard to give good customer service. She weighed and gave me a quarter pound of rose turkish delight, and when I asked which baklava she recommended, she gave me a pistachio one. The baklava was AMAZING. Perfectly flaky and flavorful, I wolfed it down in a few bites. The turkish delight was definitely delightful! I got rose, my favorite flavor. It made a nice breakfast the following morning. So happy to see Turkish Delight in Pike Place!
