Instead, opt for the dry-hopped golden lager, which is made with malt and hops produced by growers in Massachusetts. Great small brewery! We are from out of town and it was definitely worth the stop. Very informative owner and a variety of different types of beer. We did a flight of 6 and between the two of us, enjoyed all of them. Cool vibe with indoor/outdoor seating.

The place has a selection of a handful of fresh beers they make and have on tap. The beers arent bad. I'm no expert on beers by any means but they taste pretty good to me. Not entirely sure why this place had so many toddlers and babies running around as if it were a playground but🤷🏽‍♂️ I guess parents need a drink or 2. I like how they have a open kitchen like area in the back so you can see their setup where they brew the beers, which is pretty cool. The open outside setting is very nice to enjoy the weather. Very popular spot to just sit down and enjoy a beer and socialize with others. Definitely will come back and try more. Wish the place maybe had some music just for extra background noise. If your ever in the area definitely check the place out.

The outdoor seating is great! Nice small selection of beers and a very relaxed atmosphere. Great place to grab a beer in the JP area. You can bring in outside food as well. (Also, important to note they have clean, individual room bathrooms 👌)

The beer here is not good enough for a detour. There are so many good breweries in Boston and the greater Boston area, don't waste your money at Turtle Swamp. If you are in the area and interested in a beer outside, then go up the street to Sam Adams. Turtle Swamp has a decent outdoor area but that's all. The only reason to go is if your family member works there.

Great experience! The tables are all spaced far apart and creates the perfect relaxed experience. Beer is delicious, I tried the porter, sour beer, and pale ale and they all were great. Also their patio is super cute set up

Turtle Swamp is a great brewery! I love the inside and outside seating area — it allows for a great place to be outside with a beer on a nice day but then also has good seating inside downstairs and upstairs for a colder day. They also have a bunch of board games that are really fun to play and an afternoon of the place! They have a good variety of beers from sour to IPAs. I also really appreciated that the cups they used were glass and not plastic.

Fantastic small brewery with a cozy friendly atmosphere. While you won't find the latest beer trends on tap, Turtle Swamp has a solid lineup not a diverse bunch of beers. A great local watering hole in Jamaica Plain, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive and the brewery has a very homey feel.
