"Turtle Swamp is smaller than a lot of other Boston breweries that could host adult dodgeball leagues, but that just makes the atmosphere in this converted mechanic’s garage that much more chill. It has a great courtyard that’s set back off Washington, a space with a ton of natural light thanks to those old garage doors, and the Orange Line is an excellent New England IPA. "Turtle Swamp has an impressive roster of beers, which includes one of the best hazy IPAs in Greater Boston. Alas, this map is not about all that. Instead, opt for the dry-hopped golden lager, which is made with malt and hops produced by growers in Massachusetts. Availability: Turtle Swamp has outdoor seating available at its original Jamaica Plain location as well as at its beer garden in Roslindale, which also has indoor seating. Pickup from JP (walk in or preorder) and delivery (Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Dedham, Somerville) are also available. While four-packs and cases of All Ears are listed on the pickup and delivery order form, they were sold out as of press time. "Other than when they’re hosting something like Brazilian music jams or comedy series, Turtle Swamp in JP tends to be one of the quieter, chiller breweries in Boston. Hanging out on the patio in this converted garage feels like being at a friend’s backyard barbecue - except you’ll be eating Oath Pizza or Masshole Donuts from a food truck instead of a hot dog that has the wrinkled skin of a 92-year-old lifeguard. "Turtle Swamp is a brewery that was built in a former JP mechanic’s garage. The giant garage doors are still there, so you’ll have great natural light while you overlook a nice patio. There’s no food, but there are often food trucks, and the brewery regularly hosts fun things, like adult prom night.
