The Best Restaurants In Bentonville

"Go to Tusk & Trotter’s patio to spend an afternoon with a beer flight and an exorbitant amount of pork. Located right off the square, this pub serves a bacon-topped Bloody Mary, bacon-topped flatbreads, bacon tasting starters with bacon jam, and admittedly not much for vegetarians. We also like the burger, but make sure to specify how you want yours cooked (the default is very rare). As far as non-beer drinks go, there’s a decent selection of cocktails that get the job done on a hot day. " - ryan bernsten

Food tastes amazing....great flavors! Very creative drinks behind the bar...Joe took awesome care of me! The " Possum Pie" is a must try and it's big enough for 2! I also had the meatballs and my only complaint is that the vegetable portions were too small... especially for the price. Other than that, everything was awesome... I'll be back!

Google
I had seen your restaurant online on our way to Bentonville. Parked our car and accidentally found you as we meandered through the construction. I got the meatballs on a bed of risotto along with delicious greens. All was so delicious!!! Can’t find the meatballs on any online menus. So good want to replicate at home as we are from St. Louis. Five hours can be a long drive. Will recommend your place to anyone who will listen!

Came to Bentonville for work and wanted to try something local and different. The ostrich tartare was good but I think I had higher expectations. Worth a try though. The bison burger is probably one of the best things on the menu.

Google
Farm to table FRESH!! We started with the Pork Rinds!! Yum!! The spicy seasoning was perfect “spice”!! Fresh still “popping” as we ate them! I had a Mango Habanero Margarita!! Again, perfect spice!! For my entree, I had the Catfish Pastrami Reuben and Collard Greens as my side!! Delish!!

Google
Atmosphere and service were great. Though overall I found the food to be mostly a letdown. Started with the mini baked brie. I was expecting a hot melted cheese with a warm fruit spread over top. Instead what it was is a mildly warm cheese and cold fruit spread. It was good flavor but not what I expected. Bison burger was good with a nice fried egg. Bacon was a little let down not being of a strong smoked variety. The side of brocollini was very meager in my opinion. Only 3 pieces. Might be willing to try the brunch menu on a repeat visit instead of dinner.

Google
Visiting from out of town ; came here on a Saturday after a visit at the farmers market, so around brunch time. The restaurant was half full, so not too busy, although there were 2 large tables, service was a bit slower but we didn’t mind it too much. Food was delicious, we got a brunch burger with roasted potatoes. We tried the bloody mary flight, very neat idea! Overall, it just seemed like a typical brunch spot, food wise. I probably won’t remember the food as time passes but I’ll definitely remember the bloody mary flight, so if anyone is into trying different types, this would be a neat spot for you to check out!

Google
We went for brunch this weekend, and it was a great experience! The drink menu here is really cool - tons of specialty bourbon drinks, seasonal cocktails, etc. We started with the pork rinds and you can get 1/2 and 1/2 so we did spicy and garlic truffle parmersan. The spicy were by far our favorite, and they were so fresh they were still popping when they came to the table. The lemon soufflé pancakes are to die for, and the What Came First? with spicy chicken was delicious. Our server was super friendly and efficient, and she made great recommendations. The banana bread old fashioned was a definite hit! We enjoyed it so much that we came back that evening and sat at the bar for drinks before heading elsewhere for our dinner reservation. Absolutely make a reservation because they stay busy.

Google
Great place to dine! My husband and I are not from the area, however, we are SO glad we stopped here! Joseph was a great server! Very knowledgeable and did not steer us wrong with food options! We had the hot fried chicken sandwich and the burger. Both were 10/10! We didn't think it could get any better until Joseph recommended we try the Possum Pie! Such a divine dessert! We will be back.

Yelp
Food, Service, Ambiance, all combined for a great dining experience. It takes all to be an excellent dining experience any evening.

Yelp
Tusk and Trotter is AMAZING. I eat here pretty frequently; always incredible service, food, and vibes. They are so welcoming and have the best service out of any of the downtown bentonville restaurants. We were hit with a terrible storm/tornadoes and were without power - Tusk and Trotter opened their doors to the community and created a home away from home to enjoy dinner, drinks, and laughs in a safe space. Thank you for all that you do!

Yelp
A good lunch but a bit hectic; Food was excellent--service was stressed, scattered and slow (which, is apropos for downtown Bentonville right now). Waiter was sorry and cool and said he took something off the bill, only to be charged more than what the meal+tip total was for. My company is cool but that wasn't fun to explain to my comptroller dept. Hectic day?‍ Will likely come back when downtown Bentonville isn't one big construction cluster. Really great food every time. But the dining experience is usually iffy.

Yelp
Good food, but insane prices, so I won't be returning. Burger + dessert + drink was $45. Got pickup, so food's probably better inside. Tusk burger was great, and pickles were nice and thick. Trot On Over dessert was amazing - definitely worth $10. Cola mocktail was fine I guess - absolutely NOT worth $10. Just kinda tasted like watered-down coke. Would've rather gotten a regular soda.

Yelp
We had a real mixed bag of an experience here, so I'm going to essentially round up as they made things right in the end. We snagged a patio spot on a quiet Wednesday evening, and it was beautiful and we were ready to eat. The menu trends slightly higher in price than average, but there's a decent amount of options for most (to the vegetarians out there, I'd find somewhere else). We ordered, hung out, waited... waited.... became hangry... and eventually faded into the universal void of hangriness and fatigue. The table next to us also appeared to enter that silent, stressed out void as well. No idea how it took so long to get a couple burgers and fries out, but boy did it. Our server was having a rough night, and collided with a group taking pictures right by the door. He assured us it was almost out, but then another 10-15 min. went by. The manager came out and initially offered us some free dessert to take home which we weren't really in the mood for. Ultimately, then ended up comping our bills which I think was the right call. It was over an hour of just sitting there nursing a glass of water, and an overall unpleasant experience despite the cool vibes and beautiful night. The food was OK; I tried a bison burger and despite having a million ingredients (cheese, aioli, lettuce, tomato, etc) it was kind of flavorless. The garlic parmesan fries were okay, but room temperature by the time I got them. Nevertheless I put it down and it filled me up. I would explore another place next time in the area. Overall, it just didn't land for me but I appreciate the manager visiting our table and ultimately making it right.

Yelp
Came here on a slowish night and ordered a couple burgers. Our server must have been having a bad night because we waited 40 minutes for our food. I will still give them 4 stars because the manager came to our table to apologize and make things right. We sat outside, which was good for the most part, we were right next to the street so had to contend with passing cars.
google avatar

Yelp
The food here was great and they have generous portions. Definitely busting here when I return.

Yelp
When in Arkansas, you must get pork rinds. The space inside is huge and spacious. We came around 9 o'clock and were notified that the kitchen was about to close so we had to order soon. We were starving so we knew exactly what we wanted to order. I got the burger which was juicy and delicious.
google avatar

Kim T.

Yelp
We had great service and the food was really good. We were seated immediately and served fairly quick. Our waitress was friendly and the restaurant was clean and quiet enough to converse with each other.

Yelp
Catfish pastrami sandwich. Need I say more? Came here for a lunch visit with my team and enjoyed a nice sit down meal with some great vibes. There were so many unique items on the menu like pig ear nachos, pork rinds and Arkansas fritters. Lots to choose from and great for groups. I went with the catfish sandwich and a side salad. Both were great for a quick lunchtime meal knowing that I would have to go back and work the rest of the afternoon. But I kept thinking about coming back for dinner and happy hour. Alas maybe next time. I would definitely recommend trying Tusk and Trotter for great pub fare and an intimate meal. Service was good. Took a minute for our orders but don't let that stop you from seeking this place out. Worth visiting next time you are in Downtown Bentonville.

Yelp
The food was delicious. The ambiance was unique. The service was spot on. The location, left much to be desired. It was honestly more difficult finding parking in this small town than it is in Downtown Dallas. We were flummoxed. The current menu did not match the one currently on Yelp. Maybe an oversight. The beer selection was thin. I wanted to purchase a flight, but there were not enough varieties eligible for our pallet to fill an order. Maybe after Bentonville decides to invest in sidewalks and parking the situation will improve for the whole area. We had the Buffalo Burgers and the flat bread pizza. They were delicious.

Yelp
I've ate here before and always had a pretty decent experience. Food is a little heavy not many "light" options. But it's American bar style so to be expected. This most recent time my experience left me questioning if I will even come back, couple of my issues. 1. the biscuits were dry. 2. The server forgot to bring my coffee until I was almost fully done eating my meal and overall her serving skills left me exhausted (Stephanie). 3. They called the kids pancakes "soufflé pancakes" and they were flatter than a crêpe when I see the word "soufflé" I instantly think "fluffy" this was quite misleading. They need to update the menu to exclude the word "soufflé" because these are NOT soufflé. (that or make some fluffy pancakes). 4.The food prices are reasonable, but be warned some to the drinks cost as much as a meal so if you're ordering anything off menu be sure to ask the price.

Yelp
The burger and veggie Benedict were delicious brunch fare! Very fast and cheerful service, even at the height of Sunday brunch. The decor is cozy and welcoming.

Yelp
This place was pretty good and fantastic service by Vi. She was super helpful with recommendations and stayed on top of everything. The pan seared walleye my husband had was delicious and my pomme frites and flatbread were spectacular. We so love the drinks we got and they were strong!
google avatar

Ashley Q.

Yelp
The mushrooms on the Fun Guy flatbread were, I think, the best mushrooms I've ever tasted. Walnuts soaked in a whiskey are a little strange, but not as soggy as I would have thought they would be. I had the pork belly special. It seemed like the server was real concerned with my choice, they kindly described the dish to be sure I knew what I was ordering and was quick to check back after a couple bites. I was very happy with everything. I was pleasantly surprised there was no wait and we were served quickly.
google avatar

Mark W.

Yelp
Our waitress was great, she went by V. Loved her. She recommended the Walleye and wow it was amazing! Perfectly cooked and the sauce... wow! My wife raved about the Ponne Frits and they were delicious for sure. The wife had the flat bread (pizza) and was impressed as well. The margarita was ok, but the lavender spritz was great! I was a bit pricey, but all delicious.
google avatar

Leah S.

Yelp
The name is not false advertisement, this place sells every part of the pig possible. From pig ear skins to pork nachos, you can try it all. The menu has a variety of options, even some vegetarian choices, so you can make it work for anyone in your party. There is a solid happy hour you're there by 6. I enjoyed the charcuterie board to start, followed by the seasonal salad for dinner. The standout choice was the Possum Pie for dessert. If you like chocolate, save room for it!
google avatar

Ardis H.

Yelp
5 friend's enjoyed dinner at Tusk & Trotter. Overall a great experience. I had the veggie loaf with a side salad. Excellent! 3 friends ordered Arkansas fritters. Delicious with Great sauce! Plus they shared a basket of fries with Parmesan cheese. Very good, but salty. The 3th friend ordered truffle shuffle flatbread. She didn't like the under cooked cubes of bacon. Cranberry sage margaritas were tasty!
google avatar

Jacque F.

Yelp
The food was phenomenal. Egg was perfect. Chicken was crispy and moist. Waffle was something I had never experienced before. Great serving size. Our 1st time and I will go back.
google avatar

Mark R.

Yelp
Food wasn't great. Two of us ordered steak and one ordered the Walleye. Our server was generally nice but it took an hour to get our food after we ordered. I had high hopes for this place. But it ended up being overpriced for what we got. Which wasn't great.

Tony S.

Yelp
Stone fruit salad for $18 is a giant pile of argula with 3 razor thin slices of peach, 1 strawberry, and 3 blackberries. I thought it was a joke at first. One person in our party didn't get their food until everyone else was done. Was told they "dropped his chicken". No discount. The rest of the food was very mediocre and overpriced. One extra star for the bacon bloody Mary, which was quite good. Also, the peasant soup was pretty decent. Everyone else's food was bland. Wouldn't go back, much better options ver close.
google avatar

Alyssa H.

Yelp
Great little downtown eatery. We dined inside (bar side). It was an elevated noise level. Outdoor seating on the sidewalk! Great glass of Pinot noir. Hubs had the bison burger. Kiddos had the kids steak and fries, so nice for them to have an option that isn't frozen chicken nuggets! My burger was very well seasoned, fresh veg and the bun - NOM! Don't sleep on the parm, garlic & truffle fries - get the basket! Service was fab!
google avatar

H K.

Yelp
Great ambience. Ok food Service was lacking bordering on inattentive. Otherwise nothing significant to this place.

Yelp
Love this spot! I was recently visiting the area and was in need of a good meal and an ice cold craft beer. Ended up enjoying myself so much I brought a group with me for a second visit a few days later. During my first visit it was happy hour and I was served a giant portion of their fresh-fried pork rinds which came out sizzling. The truffle and parmesan topping made these without out a doubt the best pork rinds I've ever eaten. Only $3 during happy hour! I tried two local beers on draft and both were super solid. Unfortunately my bison burger came out a little dry, but was still quite tasty. Second time around I got their signature cheeseburger and it was perfectly cooked and delicious with the pimento cheese upgrade. The fresh-cut fries are some of the best I've eaten and also $3 on the HH menu. We also tried the chicken and waffles which come on carrot cake waffles and it was also worth ordering. Service was super friendly both times despite tending to a packed house. T&T isn't revolutionary, but fits the bill when seeking elevated pub food, nice staff and solid list of beers on tap.
google avatar

Yelp
Best brunch in Northwest Arkansas! It was our favorite brunch while we lived here and decided to come here with my family when visiting from KC. It was fantastic! I had the hot chicken & waffles and so glad I did. My family all enjoyed their food and drinks as well. Nice casual atmosphere and the servers are very helpful and professional.
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
Yummy pig ears. Delicious appetizers, good wine list. Noisy and maybe too cold (temperature) but service was on-point, attentive and the possum pie is wow and delicious.

DeAnn M.

Yelp
Enjoyed a delicious, inventive brunch at Tusk & Trotter. I selected the restaurant because I read about their award winning possum pie. It was excellent! The best possum pie I've ever had at a restaurant. Carrot cake waffles were great too! Server was friendly and attentive. What I loved the most, however, is the restaurant's supply chain transparency and their commitment to supporting local farmers and food businesses!
google avatar

Paul Yelp N.

Yelp
I will preface this review with my northern midwestern perspective on ribs is most likely more fall-off- the-bone tender than typical NWA expectations. No surprise to you the reader we got the ribs. Ribs had good smoked flavor and was not too fatty. However the texture was similar to a tender beef jerky. The other two of us had the chicken and waffles along with the lamb burger. Both were delicious. Service was good. Value was ok. As always with my reviews a 3 of 5 indicates I would give the restaurant another go.
google avatar

Emilio H.

Yelp
I visited Tusk and Trotter one evening for dinner while in Bentonville for dinner. I started with the truffle fries for an appetizer and it was amazing. I also had the ribeye steak with fries for my entree; it was just ok. I like to people watch, so I sat outside. I will be back for drinks and small bites.

Anthony P.

Yelp
Food was over priced and the chicken was undercooked. I stopped in for brunch and ordered the fried chicken with over easy egg on top. While the flavor was good the chicken was undercooked to the point it was difficult to bite into. Also ordered a very small bowl of fruit that cost $5.
google avatar

Fred S.

Yelp
Wonderful food, Evan better service. The food was prepared just as detailed on menu and our server could not have been more courageous and helpful
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
Had dinner at Tusk and Trotter while in Bentonville. We got there around 4:30, because they advertise a happy hour that starts at 4, but hey don't really open until 5. They let us in to sit at the bar, but I felt bad because they weren't really open. We grabbed some happy hour drinks, they were pretty good. At 5:30, we headed to a table for dinner. We ordered some pork rinds off the happy hour menu, and I had the steak and fries and my husband got the ribs. We didn't get our pork rinds initially, but when we asked about them, we got them right away. The pork rinds were delish! The steak and ribs were good. I was very excited about the sticky toffee, but it was not what I was expecting. I would try something else for dessert. Service was good. No complaints!
google avatar

Vanessa T.

Yelp
I got take out from here on a quick overnight for work. The ambiance (while I was only there briefly) was chill and quaint. They had a board that located where all the ingredients were from which I loved and it went down all the way to where the spices were purchased from. The fritters were better than I expected. Flavorful for sure but they did fall apart easily. The burger was good but the pimento cheese is what made it for me. The pork rinds - now those were fantastic and I wish I had gotten more of them. They should be an appetizer on their own! The only disappointment was the possum pie which was good but not what I was expecting. It was more of a pudding than a pie and while tasted I expected more texture to it. It was also huge. Actually this whole meal could have served two. I'd definitely go back and try some other things. I do wish there were some more simple items on the menu but overall was impressed.
google avatar

Katelyn M.

Yelp
Came for dinner for the first time for all of us. It was delicious. I personally got the bison burger and it was exactly how I like my burgers to be cooked, and the flavor was immaculate. I loved the atmosphere they created. All of the small details they brought into the restaurant shows the attention to detail all the way down to the water glasses. I would highly recommend coming here whether you are local or an out of town person coming in.
google avatar

Lee K.

Yelp
If you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything. Maybe that will not apply here in the future, let's all hope so. Really want this place to work out.
google avatar

Leslie J.

Yelp
I will say to start off that I know not every night is going to be a great night for a restaurant, and there are "off nights", but whew this really was a bad night. The Arkansas Fritters were good, and we did enjoy the remoulade, my only critique is that they should give a bigger portion of the sauce. When it comes to our entrees, both were so salty we couldn't even finish our meal. The tomato basil soup came with little grilled cheese squares, which sounds great, if the cheese was actually melted. The soup itself was so salty I couldn't even really taste anything else. My husband got the lamb patty melt that was also so salty he ate maybe a quarter of the sandwich. The fries that came with the sandwich were good, though, and surprisingly not over salty. The worst part of my meal had to have been the walleye. It didn't have alot of flavor, was dry, and I ended up getting a fish bone stuck in my throat. I understand that fish will have little bones, but this one was a real pain.. literally. The restaurant itself is in a great spot on the corner and has a few (maybe 3 or 4?) tables on the patio, which makes for a great spot when the weather is nice. I really only gave this review 3 stars because our server was very nice and was attentive. She made great recommendations for the wine paired with the food, I just wish we had a better experience with our meals.
google avatar

Whitney B.

Yelp
Had a great experience here. Food was excellent and the staff went above and beyond to make our kids comfortable and entertain them - would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Mags P.

Yelp
The place is great overall but it took an hour to get our food and when we got there the place was pretty empty. That said, the fries and bread appetizers were HUGE. The burger was great and the flatbread was ok. It was a cool location and we liked the atmosphere. Will be back and hopefully we will get our food faster next time.
google avatar

Nadine G.

Yelp
We are from RI and we're looking for a good place to eat while exploring Bentonville, and Tusk and Trotter did not disappoint. We had the pig ear nachos and truffle shuffle flatbread. Both were absolutely phenomenal, and good sizes. I had a blood Mary flight and instantly fell in love with the pizza flavor. The place had really cool artwork and a chill vibe for a Sunday afternoon. The bartender was awesome, super attentive. We are in Bentonville for two weeks and will definitely be back.

Scott B.

Yelp
Meatballs, Bison and regular burger and large salad were amazing. Possum desert and something called trot were also excellent.
google avatar

Hetal M.

Yelp
this was dinner on Saturday night and I had higher expectations based on how much the locals made a big deal of it. I had the turkey club and the flight of Caesars as my meal and I forget how filling Caesars are - it turned into a second meal for me. My sandwich was okay - I expected it to have a bit more of a balanced flavour - sometimes the jam stuck out more than the meat did and I would have preferred consistency with each bite. My colleagues ordered the ribs and said they were extremely dry and not enjoyable. Another colleague ordered the porkchop and he was pretty happy with his meal. If asked, I would describe this establishment as 'bar food'.

Mady L.

Yelp
Got lunch here recently and sat at the bar. Bartender was friendly and attentive and the food was really good! The Turkey Club was AMAZING and all the flavored cocktails were so fun and unique!

Eleonora L.

Yelp
Food was nasty. Doesn't seem clean at all Service was 50/50 some good servers and others less so.
google avatar

Tim A.

Yelp
The food was overall average. The fritters were quite bland without any flavor. The special meatballs were good, but the fish did not really pair well with mashed potatoes. The staff were nice, but it was very loud. Not very cozy. Tastier alternatives are nearby.
google avatar

James C.

Yelp
Had a super solid burger and a local pint. Service was top-notch. Both the server and manager knew we were from Washington state, both chatted us up, gave lots of recommendations.
google avatar

Jenna J.

Yelp
I tried Tusk & Trotter for the first time tonight. It was ok. To drink, I ordered the Bees Knees. It wasn't great and tasted mostly like cheap lemonade. Then, I was overcharged for it by $2. Grrr. I wouldn't order it again because it just wasn't very tasty. For food, I ordered the grilled chicken club with parmesan truffle fries. Pretty good. The fries would have been exceptional but they were barely warm. The sandwich had a good chunk of chicken that was fat and juicy and had a nice smokey flavor but overall, the sandwich needed more salt. Service was good. Maybe I'll be back but there are certainly better restaurants in Bentonville.

Larry S.

Yelp
Nice pub-like feel in downtown Bentonville. Ou waiter Joseph was very entertaining and made excellent suggestions. Great menu selections and a nice variety of local, domestic, and imported beers and wines. For lunch the six of us had Truffle Shuffle Flatbread, Catfish Pastrami Reuben, Burgers and Ozark Cobb Salad. Accompanied by several types of Pommes Frites with a variety of toppings. Excellent and different food much enjoyed by all. This is one of three places in Bentonville recommended to us by several locals and other restaurants. Seems to be a favorite with residents.
google avatar

Jason P.

Yelp
Good atmosphere. Great service. The charcuterie board was tasty Drinks are original and strong.

Yelp
My husband and I went for brunch on a Saturday. Best service that I have had in a restaurant in a long time. Zach is an amazing server! We had the Arkansas fritters which were delicious. I had a Bloody Mary flight and my husband had mimosas. I love variety so the flight is right up my alley and all were delicious but the bacon was the best. We will definitely go back again!
