"This minimalist boutique hotel, with its elevated, Scandinavian vibe, was created by Hong Kong interior team, Design Systems. Outfitted from stem to stern in grey monochrome marble, concrete, and natural timber, it’s got an immaculately clean, refined appearance throughout, making it the sort of place you'll be pretty happy to call home: The bathrooms, decked with oxidized brass fixtures, are stocked with luxury products; the lighting is perfectly ambient at all times; and it’s well-located, too, with the MTR, Causeway Bay, Victoria Park, and Tai Hang all close-by. In fact, it’s so well-integrated into a happening (but not-too-happening) part of town that, along with its inviting yet no-frills atmosphere, it is the perfect place to stay for an authentic experience of the city without skimping on luxury."

"How did it strike you on arrival?Marked by black steel doors, the narrow entrance to TUVE is so moody and dark that entering feels like sneaking into a secret lair. The sparse decor—open concrete reception area, perforated metal wall, slivers of light—will feel cold to some, cool and futuristic to others. Nice. What’s the crowd like? The minimalist hotel draws minimalist travelers—most with a penchant for design. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. The 183-square-foot wood-paneled Comfort Rooms were way too small for our taste, so we upgraded. The stripped down and immaculate Premier Rooms start at about 325 square feet—not bad for Hong Kong. There’s very little furniture or adornment aside from a lounge chair and a concrete working desk. White accents and cement walls are brightened by natural light pouring in through a wall of windows. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?Each of the 64 rooms has a plush king-size mattress and luxury linens—we had no complaints in the bed department. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase?TUVE ups the minibar ante with gourmet snacks and beverages from around the world. It was hard to pass on the Sicilian almonds, Brouwerij de Molen beer, and Fever-Tree tonic water. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.A spa-grade walk-in shower, gray marble interiors and Le Labo bath amenities soothed the soul and the mind after a long day of exploring. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Free Wi-Fi is a given here. Travelers will also find a data-enabled “Handy” phone to use around town. Room service: Worth it?This boutique hotel doesn’t offer room service but a savvy concierge team will point you towards the best nearby restaurants and bars. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you. We’d recommend the atmospheric ground-floor restaurant called the Silver Room. It echoes the hotel's industrial aesthetic—plastic walls, white leather banquettes, marble tabletops—but the food is homey Italian pasta, seafood, and wine. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay?TUVE's minimalism isn't for everyone, but we found the pared-back aesthetic relaxing. Hong Kong's crowded streets and jackhammers can feel like an assault on the senses. The austere vibe here helped us unwind. Bottom line: worth it, and why?Travelers looking for a design-forward experience in an oft-overlooked neighborhood will love TUVE." - Kate Springer

TUVE (Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"As boutique hotels trend towards an eclectic, bohemian look, a place like TUVE stands out all the more. This is a minimalist, modernist dream, a study in concrete, stone, and metal, whose raw textures are, for a certain temperament, more welcoming than all the antiques in the world. There’s substantial luxury between these rough-edged walls — its luxe bathrooms are stocked with Le Labo products and the minibars are full of hard-to-get items. It’s hidden away in Tin Hau, in the Causeway Bay district, behind an anonymous façade, and the contrast between the busy neighborhood and the visual simplicity of its interiors is a stark one." - Tablet Hotels

Minimalistic modernism: Hong Kong's new fashion trend - SilverKris

"Tucked away in Tin Hau just off the retail hubbub of Causeway Bay, this unassuming, sign-free boutique hotel takes its inspiration from a series of photographs of a dreamy Swedish lake by Danish photographer Kim Høltermand. Communal areas echo the images’ misty, wintry landscapes and rock formations with finishes in stone, marble and brass, while the 66 minimalist rooms pair rough, grainy concrete and wood with moody, low lighting. The aesthetic is edgy yet comfortable: rooms are unusually spacious by Hong Kong standards and feature cloud-soft beds dressed in fine linen and vast white marble bathrooms, offering a contemporary, quietly dramatic stay." - SilverKris

First-time stay and pleasantly surprised! It was my first time staying in this area and at a boutique hotel, so I was initially skeptical. However, after reading many consistent positive reviews from previous guests, I decided to give it a try — and it turned out to be a wonderful stay! The reception staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and pleasant throughout. Although the breakfast area is located outside the hotel (a short walk away), the food and coffee were amazing. For a small boutique hotel at such a reasonable price, their service truly exceeded expectations. The room was bright, very clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The surrounding area is peaceful and less crowded since it’s within a residential neighborhood — a nice bonus for a quiet getaway. If the team continues to maintain their standards, this place is definitely a hidden gem worth considering!

We stayed at TUVE Hotel from 13–15 April 2025 and were pleasantly surprised by its sleek, minimalist vibe. The design is modern and calming, a refreshing escape from the city’s bustle.||The location is spot on—well connected by trams and buses to all the major attractions, yet quiet enough for a restful night. Our room was compact but smartly designed, with a generous bed (especially by Hong Kong standards!) and all the essentials we needed for a short stay. Couples will find it ideal, though families with kids might feel a bit squeezed.||The real highlight was the staff—friendly, attentive, and always eager to help with tips and directions. TUVE isn’t about flashy luxury, but it delivers style, comfort, and convenience in just the right measure. Perfect for a short city break if you love modern, minimalist spaces.

TUVE Hotel in Hong Kong is a design-driven boutique property that thrives on minimalism and atmosphere. Inspired by Scandinavian aesthetics, the interiors feature raw concrete, brushed metal, and subdued lighting, creating a moody yet calming environment. It feels more like inhabiting an art installation than a conventional hotel. Rooms are compact but meticulously designed, emphasizing texture and mood over ornament. Service is discreet and efficient, catering to independent travelers who value privacy. TUVE is not for those seeking luxury in the traditional sense—it appeals instead to design enthusiasts and creative minds who appreciate restraint and narrative. Staying here feels like stepping into a concept, where every detail tells a story.

Loved the stay at a super convenient location near Tin Hau station. Amazing artistic/modern vibe. Clean and comfortable rooms. Guest servicing was excellent, they were helpful and friendly. Got a great special deal, value for money, with complimentary minibar and gifts.. which I found on their website. Will come back for future business trips.

I have been coming to Hong Kong for many years and had stayed at TUVE for a couple times. We are not looking for something fancy or expensive but the design of the hotel really attracted us. We love the scent, music and lighting of the public areas, and the rooms are very spacious in my opinion. it's a place for you to have a good night sleep.

Our stay at TUVE hotel was magnificent. The modern design is exactly what we like, sober and very classy, with all the comfort you need without the superfluous. The area is also very nice with lots of nice restaurants and bars. It is well-connected to transport facilities that allow you to explore Hong Kong.

The staff was incredibly helpful with everything—from making restaurant reservations to checking us in several hours early.||The location is fantastic: a charming, local-feeling neighborhood that’s not touristy at all, yet super close to everything, including the subway. There are also plenty of great restaurants right on the same block.||The room is small but stylish and spotless. And most importantly, I’m a very sensitive sleeper—and it was wonderfully quiet (except for the thunder 😊).||Would definitely come back and truly recommend this place to anyone visiting!

A nice room, but don't forget to bring your toothbrush, paste and other stuff you need. A bit strange though that there was no handsoap at the washingtable, but bodylotion instead; so beware. Showergel and shampoo in the shower. Coffee and tea are available in the room. Also a fridge with some drinks, but enough space to store your own stuff. The bed is comfortable, not to hard and not to soft. Bathrobes & slippers available in the room. Hairdryer and safe. The room isn't that big, so not really to hang out for a long time, but if you out all day, it should be sufficient. The hotel is located close by the metro station and it's also worth it to walk through the park to Causeway Bay (20 to 30 minutes).

Yelp
My friend and I stayed at this hotel last December in the Tin Hau area. The location of the hotel was great, only a 5 min walk to the Tin Hau station. There were plenty of restaurants on the same street as the hotel as well as on nearby streets. Check in was on the 2nd floor and pretty quick. The hotel was new and had this gothic vibe to it. Our twin room was very clean and of moderate size, about 240 square feet. I liked how they gave us complimentary water bottles daily. I also liked the Aesop bath products that were in the bathroom. It was a nice touch. The beds were really comfortable as well. The only minus is that there was no gym/fitness center or swimming pool. I definitely would stay here again.

Yelp
Tuve hotel was an excellent stay. Service and staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Ricky and Winkie were exceptional and made our stay extra special. They booked and recommended several reservations at high end restaurants for us - including a 2 Michelin star restaurant on very short notice. The rooms are spacious and modern. Beds were comfortable and the hotel provided many amenities to make our stay comfortable (beverages, coffee, toiletries, even a smart phone). The aesthetics and umbeyonce of the lobby, rooms and hotel overall were very trendy and appealed to us as young adults. Highly recommend and would stay again.
