I can’t remember why I pinned this restaurant on Maps but decided to head nonetheless.
The restaurant seems acclaimed by the locals as many Vietnamese eat there. Moreover, there were different posters claiming a Michelin Star recognition.
We were placed on a table, side by side to allow other people to sit in front.
As for the food it was really good. There is just one dish: Bun Cha that they almost automatically serve you when you sit.
Bun Cha is basically a broth with meatballs inside. What made the difference with this one is that the meat is grilled and the broth was then infused with the grilled flavor. They also bring you a platter with lettuces leaves and other vegetables alongside rice noodles that you have to add into the main bowl. As for condiments, everything is on the table.
The only downside of this restaurant is the service. I felt a bit pressed when in the restaurant. We were like forced to take a drink with our dish (the price is not high, it’s 15k but it’s the principle). Also, we ordered nems as well but as other tourists that sat on the same table we weren’t really considered unlike the locals.
I understand that as tourists we might be quite intrusive or unfamiliar with the Vietnamese culture but looking around I felt that this discomfort might have been shared by others.
