House-brewed beers, pub fare, pool, darts & shuffleboard

"For a divey pool hall, Twain's in Decatur has shockingly good food and a nice variety of beer without losing its easy-goingness only a well-worn spot can exude. In addition to selling Miller products and the like, they also brew their own beer. And along with typical wings and chicken tenders, there are a bunch of good, fancier options sprinkled through the menu, like figs and chevre or smoked meatloaf worth interrupting your pool game for. Come the next time you want to play a game—Twain's has shuffleboard, darts, and foosball, too—and eat food that's better than what's available at the average place where pool balls regularly clink together. Food Rundown Smoked Wings Try the lime pepper flavor. It’s not blasphemy. It’s a fun citrus twist on ATL’s favorite spice. It’s weird that a divey pub has this on the menu, but you should absolutely opt in. photo credit: Juli Horsford Orion All of Twain's burgers are tasty but this is one of our favorites. The patty is thick and jazzed up with bitter arugula, a sweet tomato jam, crunchy red onions, and a chunk of brie. Mac and Cheese This is a side that you could just order as your full meal. The large elbow noodles swim in creamy sauce and the top is broiled, adding a nice char to the melted cheese on top. Smoked Meatloaf The smoked part of this dish should really be in all caps because it has such a delicious sweet char on the exterior. Paired with mashed potatoes and green beans mixed with mushrooms and onions, this dish makes you forget you’re at a dive bar. photo credit: Juli Horsford" - Juli Horsford

"A Decatur brewpub hesitant to begin alcohol delivery because third-party platforms (ChowNow, DoorDash) will not guarantee drivers are at least 21 years old; Department of Revenue rules require delivery drivers to be 21+ and deem delivery an act taken by the retailer, making the business legally responsible for ensuring compliance when using outside couriers." - Austin L. "A Decatur brewpub and billiard hall that expanded outdoor seating for patio dining and continues takeout and delivery; dine-in orders are placed at the counter with staff bringing food and drinks to tables, and strict social distancing and mask requirements are in place." - Eater Staff
