Atmosphere wasn’t bad at all but the bartenders, you definitely have to check your receipts and bank statements. Initially I was charged $140 for 6 shots, high as hell for some shots but I did it anyways while having a good time, no biggie. Check my bank statement 2 days later and I was charged $280!?? For some shots??? I don’t know wtf they got going on but I advise to play it safe when buying drinks here! Definitely scamming!

This used to be my favorite club!! Tonight we experienced multiple horrible events. The main issue I have with this club is the security: There was a man in a mask harassing women and the security did NOTHING about it. When I say harassing, I mean touching, staring, licking, etc; while being told multiple times to step away. During this time, security was present and watching the situation play out. This man was allowed to stay in the club the whole night and continued to harass people. Screaming matches broke out over this masked man; yet security did nothing, once again. From what we saw, he was never asked to leave the premises. Second, the drinks are absolute highway robbery. I understand that it is a weekend and that drinks are expensive. However, when I am paying $20 dollars per drink, I expect it to NOT be watered down completely. I swear, when I took my first sip all I tasted was water. Third, what is the point of having multiple floors with multiple rooms that accommodate different music tastes??? IF ALL THE ROOMS PLAY THE SAME MUSIC???? I would love to hear back from someone in a position of power that could better explain the situations at hand. Thank you, and best regards!!!!!!!

Place has multiple floors. Drinks are pricey buy bartenders are great! Dance floors are small and easily crowded. We were told it depends on the night - but crowd was on the young-college side. Just FYI.

WARNING: REVIEW YOUR RECEIPT AT THIS PLACE. Please review your receipts and transactions at this place and their other locations. Per the receipt you are able to adjust your tip which I did since I provided the bartender a large cash tip on 3 drinks. They still added automatic gratuity despite the statement on the receipt stating YOU can adjust it. I reached out to them many times but no one has gotten back to me. I filed fraud on my credit card and filed a complaint with FTC and BBB. It's a shame that they take advantage of people not looking at their receipts and credit card statements. KEEP YOUR RECIEPTS and review them if visiting this place.

We arranged a tables weeks in advance, showed up and were asked to wait 20 minutes for them to get our table ready. We got to the table we specially ordered on the floor plan and they sold it to someone else 30 minutes after we sat down. We were moved (we’re still waiting for bottles an hour into getting to the club at this point). The bottles finally come out 15 minutes later without the mixers we’ve paid extra for which don’t come out for over an hour (we had to flag down 3 different people to text our bottle waitress.) DO NOT GET A SECTION HERE!!

Been going here for 3-4 years but the past 3 times I went I had the worst encounters. The bartenders are rude especially the asian one. I usually pay no mind to the bartenders because I go to have fun not argue with stuck up bartenders but last week was my last straw I went with some friends and the The head of security was completely rude at the entrance, the owner is nice but I don't think he understands customer service yes you run a club but no need for your workers to have nasty attitudes and horrible energy. I'm very disappointed and unfortunately will not be going there ever again.

Paid for 2 green tea shots and wasn't given an itemized reciept so I couldnt see how much each shot was. Came out to 35 dollars for some watered down shots. The next morning I'm being charged for 41 dollars?!? I'm gonna be disputing this with my bank for fraudulent charges. Disgusting and criminal behavior on their end.

The ambiance is three floors. This is more a 2020’s rage club. Very spacious, but could use a good stand inside for the drunk and hungry. However around each corner is an Alice in Wonderland post race rage spot. Decorum is red velvet meets manic tequila and vibes. Now the 1 star is because there isn’t food, but there is raging music. If you like open air space make your way to the second floor outside. Ladies usually can find plenty of bachelors look to get or already buying bottle service. Now for the moment of pause for the fellas, hookah can only be purchased at tables. If you try to buy hookah at the bar it’s a $100 dollar minimum spend at the bar. The hip hop music floor smells like blazed lush lush Maui wowed kush w/ a hint of hood lavender. There’s plenty of single ladies that come to party, but it’s best to get here earlier around 10:30pm to establish a solid vibe and presence. Vibes and how you feel depends on the level of drinks and what you came for. Management runs a tight ship. Come early pay $10, come for 4th quarter during the 1:30am-3am time frame and the price is $20. Safety here is 4 stars, fights don’t get very far, so both ladies and guys are kept safe. Bartenders indoors need you speak up louder for your drinks. Outside on the patio it’s easier to order drinks if you just use your iPhone note pad. Specify the type of alcohol you want, vodka= Tito’s, Whiskey= Jack. Hookah at a table will take 5-10 minutes, anywhere else takes about 10-20 minutes for delivery (make sure you’re slightly tipsy to enjoy the buzz when it arrives). Girl to guy ratio is about 4 1/2 girls per every guy, if you’re a guy don’t come with more than 2 guy friends.if you’re a girl you’ll be fine. Remember everything is about the group you come with. There’s better seating inside, if your outside you’re standing up. All things considered it is a 3.5/5 star spot with better vibes the earlier you come. Gentlemen come f inancially prepared, ladies less clothing is more free alcohol. ✍🏽🚀🥂

The door ladies are rude and yell at the people that are paying to go in. Yall need to remember that you are still dealing with customers and customer service is important. Don't yell at people because they ask questions. Don't scream and say "get out of my line" when someone asks a question. This was my first time there and I'm definitely NEVER coming back to this place and apparently is an on going issue with racism, homophobia, transphobia... yall need to train your people better before yall lose all of your customers! Also, wear uniform so we know that you work there. Those rude ladies screaming "give me $20 so you can go in or get out of my line seems shady when I have no clue if they even work there.

Twelve After Twelve is a multi-level, music-centric lounge. After going up the stairs, there was a colorful floral wall with a neon sign that said "Once Upon a Time" and clock. I liked how the ceilings were decorated with origami cranes and birdcage lights. The female bartenders were dressed for receiving tips. The bar was packed. I liked how the venue had music and a laser show. With our event wristbands, my friends and I had $4 Shamrock Shots. They were pre-mixed and tasted like green apple. You couldn't taste the alcohol.

I do not care if it's new years, if you have a line out the wazoo, you do NOT- I repeat, you do NOT- send a male employee into the women's restroom to "speed" them up. To quote your employee, "Go piss and get OUT." This was my first of many qualms of the night. Mind you, I paid a $40 general admission fee to bring in the new year at this bar. If you are considering spending a new years here, don't. Shame on this establishment. I have never been here before and I will never be returning.

Great vibe, lots of fun, solid DJs, atleast on Saturday when I went, and three floors to enjoy yourself on with multiple rooms, each with their own thing going and pretty solid sound systems. There were couches/benches along the sides if needed, though they were mostly being used to place coats. The decor was quite fun and the staff was great throughout. The entrance was a bit confusing/unstructured as there were two makeshift lines for the cover to get a band and then a third separate line to enter after getting the band and showing ID. Drinks were decent but definitely a bit pricey, not unexpected though. Would definitely recommend!

The vibes here are pretty good! It was packed but the different areas made it manageable. Each area has its own vibe and music, which is great. The drinks are expensive and there's a cover, but I think this place is great after a good pre-game.

This place did us WRONG. My friend was aggresively dragged out when she was practically sober. Some girl was way too drunk sitting on the couch and then she got up and left. My friend sat on the couch shortly after and they mistook my friend for that girl, and kicked us out. Even after explaining to them that we were fine and it wasn't her almost passed out on the couch. After spending so much money at this place. We will NEVER go back. So wrong.

DO NOT GO. My friends and I had our phones stolen. When I went to the apple store the salespeople said "were you at 12 after 12". They had 4 other women come in reporting stolen phones as well. The staff steal phones, turn them off immediately and then sell them on the black market. AVOID at all costs.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Commits credit card fraud! I purchased 8 cans of beer here and left a $10 tip ($10 tip to hand me an unopened beer) and authorized a total charge of $99. So yes, I paid $100 for 8 cans of beers and that makes me a moron but this venue really went ahead and charged my credit card $199. When I disputed the charge with my credit card company, 12 after 12 somehow came up with the random charge of $109 as the alleged "correct" charge and refused to provide an accounting of this figure. I tried to call and resolve but the call goes to a mailbox. I had to text and when I asked for an itemized receipt from the unknown text number they didn't respond. I told them I was going to file a complaint for unlawful practices then I get a response that I'm "threatening" them and they wont respond. Please only pay cash here!

The staff here are absolutely amazing. I never knew this place existed since 18th St Lounge closed, but I am happy to see this re-vamped space. the sound system is DOPE and you can experience both EDM and Hip Hop/Top 40 in the same space. I absolutely hate Top 40 but there is something for everyone here, and the decor is beautiful. Will be back, but mostly for the awesome security staff that made this BIPOC woman feel safe, comfortable and most of all WELCOMED!

Typical "doing the bare minimum" DC vibe. Drinks are a ripoff right off the bat. $15+ a water cup of booze. Staff prefer to talk to each other and their friends than help you out. If you're there for a DJ, it'll be fun if you don't mind mixed smoke and a lack of proper ventilation. The sound system sounds pretty good though.

Attempted to wait in line to go into this bar. There were two lines one to the left of the door and one to the right. My friends and I thought the one on the right was the correct line and tried to get in. Got yelled at by the Staff who was extremely rude. They threatened me and got in my face telling me if I was still there by the time they got back from checking someone else's bag they would "beat me to the ground". James and the other security person were completely unprofessional and should not be doing that job if they are going to send out threats like that. Threats like that especially to a female can cause a lawsuit that will ruin a business.

Had a good night here. The decor and energy was great. Taking a star for overpriced drinks. What the hell are you charging a cover for if you're charging that much for drinks.

Do not go here, last night my friend had her phone stolen and about 3 other women had their phones/wallets stolen as well. Security is incredibly rude, disrespectful, and openly aggressive. They instigated fights with my friends both entering and leaving the establishment and don't seem to understand how to teach people with descent respect. Shady stuff going on there. Save yourself the trouble and don't go.

This place SUCKS. My phone was stolen. I searched on the ground to make sure I hadnt dropped it before alerting staff. When I alerted staff they just rolled their eyes and told me to check the bar. Weirdly, when I threw a toy styrofoam light on the floor, that got their attention. One staff member yelled at me to pick it up and then chased me out of the club. ALSO the bar sucked. One bartender would only serve people after they scanned his cash app barcode from his phone. He was super drunk and kept moving around (making it hard to scan). When I finally did get him to serve me, he charged me $70 for 4 green tea shots.

This spot used to be known as the famous 18th street lounge that closed but it's great to see that despite a name change it's original appeal and classic decor still remains intact. The place features multiple levels and an outdoor patio area with a retractable roof as the location is filled with sofas and comfy chairs giving you the the warm cozy feeling of being in your own living room. On this particular Wednesday I popped in and was pleasantly surprised as I was just in time for the live band performance which was a mashup of R&B classics ranging from old school to more modern hits. There's several bars in each of the connected rooms which is great for eliminating the wait and longs lines that come from only having a single bar and bartender. Drinks are priced around $14 and up which is typically standard for the area. Overall this place is spacious, provides a great vibe and scenery with a diverse group of patrons, and is perfect for an intimate date night or simply a night on the town with friends so I highly recommend checking it out.

I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism, knavery, and disregard for patrons as I did at this place. I was here in October and my phone (as well as several others') was stolen. I alerted staff and security of a potential phone thief, in which they replied, "We know." The staff and security were obviously aware that phones and belongings were being stolen and refused to assist in any way; it's almost as if they were trying to cover something up. Weird behavior. There are so many other places in DC to go for a night out - I recommend choosing somewhere besides Twelve After Twelve. Unless you want your stuff taken, of course!

Don't get me wrong I had a fun time here, but that's because I'm a fun person. $20 drinks on a Saturday night but read your receipt because gratuity is auto included. My friend was dj'ing and had a fun set, I like the retracting roof outside. Scantily clad servers are an eyeful but it doesn't do anything to elevate the atmosphere. Security was chill. I had my iPhone stolen right before we left around 1:20am so BE CAREFUL!

12after12 was actually really good! Music was nice. The staff was lit right with us . What get me was it was $30 to get in and then an hour after if that went up to $50 to get in. Drinks was good but $15 for a green tea shot. $15?? Bump they head. But other than that it was fun and great experience.

Lost phone, told bartender it was tracking behind the bar. She denied it being there until I sounded lost alarm and she grabbed it from where the bottles are. Otherwise a pretty sick bar, just hold onto that phone, the patrons have sticky fingers.

No soap. When I asked the bartenders for soap or hand sanitizer they didn't even have it. Dirty hands making my drinks? Disgusting

Never have toilet paper lol but great vibe. Love to come after 10:30 to start the party come at 12 to be the party. Love it always. Wish there was more house. But again worst part is there is never toilet paper. Checked the men's bathroom too lol

Latin Saturday nights are always a fun vibe! My friends and I always have a great time and never leave disappointed. The bartender Lou is attentive, quick and fun!

This place is the worst and their security staff needs to go. I had actually left there last night and was standing on the sidewalk, not in their line. The woman with an iPad yelled at us to move away because weren't going to get in. I said fine, we just left, we aren't trying to go in. She kept yelling, to the point we told her look, this is a public sidewalk. We aren't going anywhere, we are waiting for someone. Apparently the bouncer took issue with that as "disrespectful" and immediately came and put his hands on both our shoulders and threatened us. When told him to stop touching both of us, his threats got worse. I said look, it's a sidewalk, I have a right to be here, if you want to cause a scene fine, call the cops I'm happy to talk to them, and to go back to his area and I will stay in mine, he was not happy. Again, this was not in an area they hold a line--it was near the tree box. One of my friends tried to move the bouncers hand off his shoulder and then all of the security ran up on us and pushed us. Nobody was trying to fight. I had my up hands up in the air, seeing what was happening, to make clear I wasn't starting anything. Yet one of the security people ran towards me and grabbed my throat. All because they put hands on us first, on the sidewalk, when we weren't causing any trouble and and weren't even in their line nor trying to go in. And after it all happened, they went up to people in the line who had video and told them to delete it. Scumbags on a power trip. Don't go there.

i'd give 0 stars if i could. some of the staff were really cool and nice but the ones that weren't..... awful. really one of the worst experiences i've had at a bar ever and easily THE WORST BAR EXPERIENCE IN DC. one staff member in particular went out of their way to alienate me from my group of friends outside the entrance and spew rude and demeaning things to me until the point i was alone and in tears on the street. really embarrassing and horrible experience that just got worse as the night went on. there are soooo many bars literally on the same block that are far better. don't waste your time or money here!!

Don't come to this club if you value your phone, wallet, or physical safety. Last weekend alone, over 40 phones and wallets were stolen from this bar (mine included), and staff did nothing to prevent this or to try and fix it afterwards. Myself and 20ish others were talking to security, asking them to search people leaving or at least close the bar and they did not, even when they knew there was a group of people in the bar stealing things from their customers. Only after the police came (4 officers) did they start to cooperate, but that was hours later and it was too late. This happened on Saturday night, but we quickly learned that the same thing had happened the night prior and the club did nothing to warn patrons or to prevent it from happening again. One of the bouncers also shoved me out of the bar when I was trying to get answers and ask for help. Neither you nor your belongings will be safe in this club.

I attended a ticketed private event for queer women at Twelve After Twelve in one of the upper floor rooms with a few friends. The event was supposed to go from 10pm until 2am. At midnight, security stopped checking for wrist bands and a large number of presumably straight men started to funnel in. This is when the space stopped feeling safe for us as queer women. We repeatedly had men invading our personal space. No women should have to deal with men behaving this way, but it really shouldn't be a problem at a private queer event. This event was hosted by a group that had contracted with Twelve After Twelve. After security started letting men in, an event organizer spoke to a manager to resolve the issue. I found his behavior very disturbing. He was screaming in her face and was overall very aggressive. I can think of no circumstances that would make they way he treated her acceptable. The whole thing made me and my friends very uncomfortable and we ultimately decided to leave early.

I haven't been to this place in a very long time like 8 years and I went last night on 2/12/22 to celebrate a friends birthday. The place is still beautiful and I had a great time with friends however. The bar tender on the middle floor in the front of the venue not the back was very rude the drinks were not good. After I asked for a bourbon and coke, the drink was almost all coke and I politely asked for more bourbon and he sarcastically asked me if I wanted a manager. I only wanted more bourbon because the drink was mostly coke that's all. He took my cup poured the bourbon put it back down and started conversation quickly elsewhere. I have a feeling that he had a problem with African/ African American descent. I don't pull the race card but after talking to other people there they felt the same way! Because he so easily asked to hand me over to a manager and almost refused to redo or add to my drink I must assume the manager had to be similar to him or agreeable. I will not tolerate or stand for this! I am not young and white I am a black professional that only wants to have a good time not be treated like I don't matter and I speak for all!
