"This is the place where young couples go in Islington to furnish their East London homes with high-end, contemporary and modern classics created by the likes of Le Corbusier, Hans Wegner, Robin Day, and many, many more. The shop has recently expanded, but the floor is still just the tip of the iceberg. Make a point to inquire about their other stock. "

I just had to leave a review for the outstanding service from Mia. It’s not often you walk into a furniture shop and think, I absolutely have to write a review — but then, it’s not often you receive care like this. I bought a beautiful, delicate ex-display lamp — hand-blown glass, and by any standards, pretty pricey. The transaction was done over the phone, and I travelled quite a way to collect it. Mia had gone to the trouble of finding the original box and told me she’d wrapped it carefully for the journey home. But it was only when I unpacked it that the full extent of her thoughtfulness became clear. She had dismantled the lamp gently and wrapped each individual piece with such care — adding extra bubble wrap, labelling everything clearly, and reinforcing the original packaging. It had clearly taken time and attention. It made me smile — seeing that care, reassembling the lamp, and feeling glad that someone had bothered. That’s rare these days. Not only do they have beautiful things in stock but also, their staff are clearly amazing. I’d buy from twentytwentyone again in a heartbeat, thanks to Mia. She’s a credit to the business.

After salivating over their newsletters and Instagram posts it was delightful to be able to see their stock in person. The curation was so satisfying, definitely one of the best homewares and furniture shops in London.

Lovely shop, but I'd have liked to have seen a greater selection of furniture and interior things rather than lots of bits and pieces like soaps along the back of the shop. Friendly lady who helped me out with some questions I had.

Best customer service I’ve ever experienced! I purchased a Carl Hansen dining table, but when it arrived, I noticed a slit on the underside corner. They replaced the table, but the replacement also had the same issue—this happened three times. By the third replacement, I was exhausted, but the team went above and beyond to resolve the problem, finally providing a perfect table. Throughout the process, their communication was excellent, and they were genuinely committed to solving the issue. I’m so glad I bought the table from them, and I’ll be purchasing everything from themfrom now on. Great experience! Thank you.

Went into the lovely Islington showroom. Molly was very helpful and we followed up with an order for 4 chairs a few days later. We were kept informed of expected delivery date and they arrived on time in perfect condition. Thank you

Great shop, but the woman at the till was extremely rude and passive aggressive. After we paid for our items, she still wouldn’t trust us and asked for our passports, cards, and other details. I love the shop, but that kind of attitude doesn’t make for a welcoming experience, makes you not want to go back. Train your staff.

We've bought a number of pieces from TwentyTwentyOne over the years - tables, chairs, lights and gifts - and have had great service. When we refurbished our home the first place we went was TwentyTwentyOne. They were incredibly accomodating as we looked for, tried out, and bought furnishings and fixtures. The picture below shows the chairs and lights (Hay Result chairs and Danese Itka lights). The range and selection are excellent as is the service. Entirley recommended.

My experience of twentytwentyone is very good indeed. I finally found a quality chair and footstool through them, enjoying very much the opportunity to actually sit in a chair to find out if it works for me. Add to this a lot of help and support from the very well informed staff (a special thanks to the great member of staff who helped me!) and I can only wish all shops were like twentytwentyone. My chair and footstool just arrived and I’m very pleased! I’ll be back! 😉

Yelp
No stars if I could choose that The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. My items were inadequately packed for shipping and were broken or damaged Replacing the broken items took months and they even sent the replacement to the wrong address I ended up out of pocket trying to get the package rerouted because they were incompetent They cannot handle international orders.

Yelp
Oooh there are so, so many pretty things in this shop! Some of it is just very expensive...and not that necessary...but there are also some really lovely items that are *possibly* worth paying a few extra pounds for. My husband and I popped in here to look at their "string" shelves. There aren't many places in London that stock them, so it was good to see it all set up. The staff were really sweet and helpful, and even gave us a string catalogue while we work out what colours will suit our flat... I really like mid-century and Scandinavian-esque designs...and while I'd prefer to get hold of vintage pieces...shops like twentytwentyone at least give me the option of ordering exactly what we'd like. Now we just have to save up enough cash to actually buy it all. Eep.

Yelp
A lot of the stuff in Twenty Twenty One would look out of place in the average home. Although there are a lot of pretty and unique designs, I've never once felt my life lacking because I didn't have a neon orange vase shaped like one of the falling bricks in Tetris. Twenty Twenty One takes no prisoners in its drive to promote contemporary design. Nonetheless there are a few items in Twenty Twenty One which the more average soul might be interested in. I bought a small purse from here which was purple with red dots and very sweet. A few lamps and ornaments also caught my eye. Anything much larger than this however, was completely out of budget. Even the wooden duck in the window was £120. I would say that Twenty Twenty One is the perfect shop if you are a young, rich couple looking to deck out your first home in all the best designs. While there are a few items for the rest of us, this shop is likely to leave you feeling poor and uncool.

Yelp
Twentytwentyone is one of the best companies around for furniture and home accessories, this is the smaller of their two shops but is still somewhere you should definitely if you're in the area. The compact size of this boutique means it moreso stocks their smaller accessories and less furniture, but you can still place orders for any of their range (although the main shop isn't far away - see additional review). You will find things here that you would struggle to find in the rest of London, and it's a great place for presents if you know someone who's into their product design. It's not cheap, but it's not surprising as they sell some of the best contemporary and classic design in the world.

Yelp
This shop was once called, I believe, something like 'Twentieth century design'. With the millenium behind us, the name had to change, but the emphasis is still on design, and the shop is full of well-designed objects, with a small collection of books on design. To tag the shop as 'Gadgets' would be an underrating - upmarket gifts or homeware would be nearer the mark. There are also a few pieces of furniture - Eames, Wegner etc - but the company has a much larger showroom in River Street (off Amwell Street) for furniture. I have always found both shops a pleasure to visit.

Yelp
I don't know why this shop is called 'twentytwentyone' - if anyone does know, drop me a line. It's actually number 274, located right next to a coffee shop, a fire station and an ugly petrol station. You feel refreshed walking in here and will feel your body appreciating the break away from the busy Upper Street. It's like walking into a tranquil spa - the walls are painted bright white, the space is lit well and there is minimal laid out to see. And although I love walking into places crammed to the ceiling full of exciting hidden treasures, it was actually quite a relief walking around 'twentytwentyone'. If I had to label this shop into any category, I think I would put in under 'Gadget Shops' - there are utensils, oven gloves and equipment for the home but most objects are mechanical in some way. This doesn't mean the colours in this shop are grey and dull - quite the opposite in fact - when I went the main colours were red, blue, yellow and green. As I walked in I was greeted by a kind lady who told me if I needed any help I mustn't hesitate to ask. As I've mentioned in other reviews, I'm a bit of a sucker for helpful staff (is that wrong?). Nevertheless, I didn't actually spend that long in this shop - it's small and as I said, there's not that much there to look at. But worth a nosey-around if you're passing by.

Yelp
I once loved this shop and over the years have purchased a substantial amount of items at considerable cost. I just wanted to say that I will never ever buy another item from them. I advise you to go to the likes of Heals, the Conran shop, Design Museum, Skandium and so on for your items. Tried to buy presents for Christmas with sterling cash and it was rejected. I waited over fifteen minutes for four workers in the shop to decide whether they would take my money. I've never felt so belittled. This is 2016 and sterling cash is sterling cash whether it comes from Northern Ireland or Scotland. Twenty Twenty One how dare you make me feel like I'm not good enough for your shop. I will take my custom to London's other design shops where the customer service is better and they take my money as if it is UK sterling. Very unprofessional set of workers with no manager in shop at the time to hold their hand. My review really should have zero stars. BEWARE!!!
