On the Grid : Twig

"Twig specializes in lovingly assembled little terrariums filled with living plants and figurines. Pick up one their pre-made mini moss worlds, or let them teach you how to make your own, filled with air plants, succulents and, of course, twigs. The self-contained glass orbs and jars make unique gifts, and the Twig staff can also replace florists at weddings and events with custom terrariums and moss displays. The shop itself is packed with greenery, centered around an entire moss-covered tree." - Hyperakt

Twig'm - Review - NOHO - New York - The Infatuation

"At Twig’m, a bright yellow stall in the open-air Bowery Market (which also houses Ramen by Rā), you can get Korean fried chicken with your choice of sweet and spicy glaze, or soy garlic, for $15. A combo of the two types will run you $18. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

I've been on the hunt for a new Korean fried chicken spot, and this is it! Tucked away in a cozy little corner, this gem offers both takeout and dine-in! And if you choose to stay, you might just end up chatting with the chef himself (who's just as amazing as the food). The sauce? Sweet, spicy, savory, chef’s kiss. It instantly reminded me of the flavors you'd get at home in Korea! So comforting and nostalgic. There’s something genuinely charming about the place. It’s unpretentious, friendly, and full of soul. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or hanging out for a chat, it’s the kind of spot that sticks with you. Already counting down the days until I come back. Love it, love it, LOVE IT! Amazing Korean fried chicken, tuna-mayo rice balls & TOP customer service!!!! They welcomed us from the start and helped us with chosing from the menu!!! Their pickled radish and sauces are home made!! Definitely will come back to visit next time I’m in NYC!

Had been craving some authentic Korean fried chicken since my last visit there, and I think this right here is it!! The folks working the booth were kind and gave me some fish cake soup while I waited as well. I will certainly be back again (and again, and again) soon!

My family, who hates sweets, had a big regret today. The seasoned chicken was not too sweet and delicious. My kids got mad because I bought only a small amount. It was delicious and crispy even when it cooled down. It was so delicious that I think it will become a famous place. Snowman rice cake Gangjung is the best!! We will definitely go back~ Please open a store in Long Island!! This price is absolutely not expensive for this taste and quantity. Think about the prices these days. 사장님 대박 기원할게요!! 너무 맛있어요!!

I had the Korean Padak and It was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They have other styles I love too such as the sweet and spicy!! If you love spice but need a little help it’s the perfect kick (but not too spicy to ruin your meal). The chef was so kind and told me he made everything himself from the sauces to the radishes (If you love korean chicken you know the radish it the MOST important part) I heard they’re expanding their menu so Im excited to come back and try😍

Found this gem by accident. Just opened. The boneless bite size wings are delicious—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of spice. We tried the “half and half” with Soy Garlic and Sweet and Spicy. The owners are super friendly as well. Will definitely stop by again.

Yelp
Instagram lead me here and for once the place lived up to the hype. I've returned a few times for their rice balls, which, to be frank, are addictive. I hadn't had much Korean food before this, aside from ramen, and had no idea how much the spice level would build. Definitely get one of their milki drinks or have dairy available at home. Also you will smell like sweet sweet garlic for a couple days. It's a tiny place with seating for 3-4 people, and they make everything to order. It's fun to sit and chat with the workers/learn more about the food as they go. I'd love to gatekeep this place but the food really is that good. GO before it's overrun.

Yelp
The staff was so friendly and engaging when I was asking questions about the different dishes. The classic Korean Fried Chicken was prepared right in front of me. I got the half and half, so half soy garlic and half sweet and spicy. Both were so good, especially right from the pan. The ambiance is also super nice, as its tucked right inside off a busy street. Perfect for a nice spot to hangout when its chilly outside!

Yelp
Solid korean fried chicken! I went with a friend who doesn't really like fried chicken but she liked twig'm sweet and spicy fried chicken. It's fun to watch the chef fry and season the chicken fresh after taking your order. It takes about 7-8min to receive the order and i think it's worth the wait considering each order is fulfilled fresh. The service was great and the ambience was great too. Will come back again!

Yelp
Second time's a charm ! We had tuna-mayo rice balls --DELICIOUS ! and more of the sweet and savory chicken, to take home to surprise the family with. Everyone was delighted and the food instantly disappeared ! I just LOVE Twig'm !! There are places that are always wonderful, this is one of them.

Yelp
The fried Korean chicken at Twig'm is made fresh and melt in your mouth delicious. It is a tiny storefront restaurant with four stools and a take-out window near NYU. It is a delightful spot for a study break (closes at 11:00 p.m.) or a fast lunch. Highly recommend!!
