Stopped while visiting JC. Got myself a plain cheese slice and my son a pepperoni slice. They warmed them up and boxed it and we took it outside to eat. Had to sit at a bench since their outdoor seating was taken. They did have indoor seating however it was pretty warm inside so we just the nice summer breeze outdoors. I was skeptical since it is thin sliced pizza but let me tell you it was absolutely delicious. Both my son I ate our slices and left no crumbs literally. Perfect crunch, tasty sauce, and the cheese was so good! Plenty of pepperoni for my little guy to enjoy on his slice and he shared one with me and it was also good. Will come back!

Google
Stopped in for a quick bite. Loved the pepperoni slices. Great flavors and the crust had a crunch but was not dry. I recommend the garlic knots! Just enough garlic and the dough is soft and pillowy with just the right amount of crunch.

Google
I am simple. I get a variety of vegan options, I leave satisfied. As a Jersey native, I had been searching for good pizza for years since becoming a vegan. Too often the crust falls short or the cheese overpowers everything else. I first tried Two Boots at their East Village location around 2019. Happy to say it’s as good as I remember, and I have somewhere to go in JC when I get a craving for pizza. I would recommend the V for Vegan, it is my favorite by far.

Google
Came in here for a quick slice. Service was attentive. Place is colorful and different. Pizza was thin, crunchy and salty enough how I like it. I have no complaints. Would def stop by here again!

Google
Very unique pizza shop with good pizza and good vibes. I got a slice of their pepperoni pizza and I love the slight crunch it has. It’s thin just the way I like it. They also have a pretty pizza art piece on the wall when you first come in. Only $4 for good vibes and pizza.

Google
Pizzas have unique toppings and taste great! Recommend V for Vegan even if you’re not vegan

Google
I ordered Buckminister and Meet the meat. Both are freaking amazing. I personally like their fresh ingredient like garlic and green pepper, blends perfectly with melted cheese and tomato sauce. feels more like a restaurant dish than a fast pizza joint even it's a delivery order. recommend.

Google
It’s the spot to go to when in downtown Jersey City. Great pizza I personally recommend the Bayou Beast. Unfortunately the service is lackluster. This was not during peak hours either. My friend’s order was forgotten. My order was incomplete. I had to remind them. FYI, the small pizza is a personal pizza.

Yelp
Go to pizza spot in JC! They have a great variety of pizzas including veggie pizzas! My favorites are the Cleopatra Jones and the pepperoni. Love the crust and how thin the slices are here! The service is pretty quick and the server was extremely nice. Really casual spot to grab a slice on your way to the train or late night after a night out!

Yelp
Was in the mood for a simple cheese pizza and decided to stop in to Two Boots! I enjoy my visit each time i come. I dont know why but something about two boots reminds me of Jersey Shore pizza. The thin crust and slightly spicy tomato sauce. I just always enjoy the pizza. Staff is really nice at this location. Nice size dining area with the coolest artsy decor. Def worth the tough parking.

Yelp
I love Two Boots because their pizza is always good and they have great vegan options. This was my first time ordering from this location. The pizza wasn't as good and there was a hair on one of the slices as well which made me lose my appetite.. I was excited to find a location in NJ but was let down by my experience.

Yelp
The lady at the front, who took my order is unprofessional-- I was having a moment with my husband on "who should pay the bill" and I raced him to it, the lady taking my order raised her voice and sucked her teeth because she forgot to add our drinks. She later proceeded to make my Caesar salad and said "oh, sorry I added too much cheese. I don't think she likes her job. This place use to be amazing before you hired her!

Yelp
At the end of the day there are less individual slice options. The menu shows the full pie options that are available all day. The service was quick and the ambiance is very casual. The pizza was very good, but I noticed the pizza dough recipe makes it very flakey/messy to eat. Great place to go after partying in that area.

Yelp
I love two boots! I've always had a great experience with them either delivery (when I'm staying in town), pickup, or eating in. I typically get the Buckminster. It's fantastic! And the fact that they offer vegan versions of their pizzas is great since it means I can bring my vegan friends. The vibe is also something I enjoy about Two Boots. I drive all the way from Philly to go, so you know it must be good!

Yelp
This has been one of my favorite places to get pizza in jersey City. This place is a dream for people with food allergies/restrictions. My go to is always the V for Vegan or the Vegan night tripper with a gf crust. Back when I did eat gluten my absolute favorite choice was their grandma. You can order online and pick up as well. They have a points system that converts into rewards. I also love that you can just get a slice and this way you can try more flavors/toppings. I hope they start serving gf slices but I'm glad they at least have the option of ordering a pie. The service is always polite and quick. There is plenty of seating inside and the whole place has a quirky and chill vibe which makes it a great place to hang out with friends.

Yelp
Best vegan pizza. I'll just leave this here. Coming from a girl who has eaten ALOT of vegan pizza- this is it guys. I always crave this every weekend when i'm in JC- they even have a location in the city with even more vegan slice options. I always get the V for vegan and it does not disappoint. Sauce amazing, variety of veggies great, drizzle of pesto to die for!! Staff is always kind too. Only thing i will say is it is very pricey, $5 for a slice is definitely on the pricier end especially when a small pie is $12. Regardless, Ill be a forever customer!

Yelp
Rip off! Do yourself a favor and order from one of the other dozen local pizza places in JC. Pizza used to be great but the last 4 or 5 times I ordered from here it took well over an hour to get cold smushed pizza or the pizza never arrived at all! Then I had to call multiple times and got charged for pizza that never got to me!
google avatar

Karthik R.

Yelp
Their pizzas are tasty and there are usually multiple options to try if you go for a single slice. Their "grandma Bess" is a novel take on the classic casserole dish pie. However it can be a inconsistent, so try it again if you're not blown away. The ambiance is a little divey and the folks are nice.

Yelp
A thing I learned - never order anything else besides pizza from here. I was on the way home and wanted to pick up a pizza. Ordered a Cesar salad on the side to make it a bit more healthier. When I got home, the salad was the pinkest romaine I have ever seen. Parts were wilted. We contacted the Slice App about it and they told me they contacted Two Boots, and their response was "Our salads are made with the freshest lettuce and all salads are like that", even when we sent in pictures of the quality. Yeah, no, that was not the freshest lettuce. This was my mistake - and one I'll never make again. I think I'll stick to other pizza places in the area that can deliver solid sides as well.

Yelp
Very bad and unsanitary practices, handling food without the proper protection. The manager, I suppose, defend this practice by stating the employees washed their hands, however, I witness the staff not only not washing their hands, but wiping their hands on the dirty apron they are wearing. This saddens me as I've been a customer of this establishment since they opened. Be careful!

Yelp
I dislike walking into an empty restaurant at 1:15PM and you just ask that your slices of Pizza not be burnt and the person there folding boxes roll their eyes and give you attitude!
google avatar

Sama C.

Yelp
What happened Two Boots... Could have been better! Came in to grab a couple of slices. Noticed 2 fresh pies coming out so I asked the lady if I could have from the new pie. She made a snappy remark. The "fresh" pies were not fresh at all. They were made earlier and sitting aside, because when I got them they were COLD! And, when I placed my order they reheat the slices, which would make them warmer, but NOPE! Just look at the cheese and how it's not melted. FYI: Beat bet is to order a whole pie. This guarantees freshness.
google avatar

Yelp
Very good pizza with good portions on the slices. The service at the counter was good, along with the music play list. I wish the pizza didn't have the little things on the bottom of the pizza that make it so messy to eat, but it's not a deal breaker. I also wish there was parking in front of the restaurant. Either way, I will be back.

Yelp
Vegan Pizza mmmm *ends review* lol This pizza was tasty. It was two hours passed my lunch break and slowly approaching the magical hour of commuting time. I knew I'd need fuel of epic portion as my breakfast was pretty slim this day. So I went on Door Dash and ordered from this place. The service is VERY PROMPT like they arrived before I was expecting them to come. The pizza was picture perfect. Seasoned well, crust had a good flavor, fresh ingredients, and fair prices. This is certainly going to be put into my rotation of lunch orders. I've never seen this many vegan options at a pizza spot before. I'm glad I live far away.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I love going here for a treat. We always order the Buckminster pie and cajun garlic bread. We'll have to branch out and try other flavors eventually, but for now, we will continue ordering the Buckminster - it is so flavorful and really hits the spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Came with friends to Two Boots near the Grove Street Path station, and really enjoyed it here! They have several ready-made pizzas that you can order by the slice, or you can order the full pizzas. The slices are around $5 and quite large. I had the Buckminster and loved the generous layering of spinach and cheese. Thought the crust was pretty good too, not too dry. Besides the food, I especially liked the restaurant ambience both inside and out--the decor is vivid and bright, with a casual and relaxed atmosphere.

Yelp
Yummmm! As a born and raised girl from Jersey who moved to California, all I crave is some good pizza. This place drew me in with their sign outside "buy wine, get a slice of cheese pizza for free." What can get better than that? They heat up the slices for you so it's hot and toasty and their base crust is super crunchy. It's one of those toasted crunchy slices. Warning- it is SUPER hot when they serve it reheated. The top of my mouth is still suffering the consequences after the melted cheese burned the roof of my mouth.

Yelp
Delicious! There are very interesting topping combination and the quality was great. There is plenty of space for indoor and outdoor dining and the location is adjacent to many other businesses and restaurants. The pizza was hot and had great crust so it really hit the spot for our weeknight dinner.
google avatar

Erin G.

Yelp
Okay the pizza is great don't get me wrong.... But can I not be treated like a second class citizen who doesn't know the difference between a plain slice of pizza and a piece of gum stuck to the bottom of my shoe? Thanks
google avatar

Daniela H.

Yelp
Ordered to go a large sausage and pepperoni pizza. Huge huge 8 slices! Loaded with perfectly cooked toppings. Crust was little denser than a good New York pizza slice but overall very good. Hit the spot. Parking is a nightmare though, however, I was able to pull up near the McDonald's eventually and run in to grab my food.

Yelp
Fast, great taste, casual vibe, and decent price. Worth a stop in. Bayou Beast is a personal fave but they're all good - including Vegan and Gluten Free
google avatar

Yelp
I love this spot!! They are open super late and have some bomb ass pizza!! This is my favorite spot to go after a long night out! They never disappoint! I love their thick margarita slice! The best!!! This is a great fast eats spot! Service is great!
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely not as good as the Two Boots locations in the city. Pizza was fine but not drool worthy. I have dreams about Two Boots so I was disappointed in this location.
google avatar

Mony K.

Yelp
Takeout experience: Ordering was simple. Pickup was quick. The divine pizza had generous toppings and strong flavor. Crust is soft and crunchy, combing the best of both. Garlic knots was large...sauce was average. Can probably feed 1-2 people within this order. Good prices/value ratio. Would repeat.
google avatar

Wendy S.

Yelp
Pizza was COLD!! It wasn't even a delivery, I ate at the pizzeria. Literally was thrown in the oven for a few seconds. Never again

Akbar M.

Yelp
Total bullshit, the pizza was crooked and the cashier wanted to deceive us for money when he counted he took two or three bills, then said that he was missing, although I counted before him 5 times
google avatar

Jessie N.

Yelp
Got 4 slices: The Bird (2), The Newman (1), and Grandma Bess (1) The Bird was very good. A buffalo chicken pizza and I loved the green onion on there. The Newman I thought was way too salty, and Grandma Bess was so lackluster. The Grandma Bess tasted so dull. I've had other grandma pies and they were filled with flavor despite the simple ingredients. I was super disappointed. Very unique interior and very colorful which I love. The only reason why I would come back is just to get a slice of The Bird, other than that, I wouldn't go out of my way. Notes: Stop by the bookstore a few doors down

Yelp
I ordered again a few days ago and this time I got a small Animal Collective pizza and a Cleopatra Calzone. The pizza was pretty good (basically like a spinach artichoke dip on pizza), the calzone was not as good as the one I got last time and also the sausage in it had a strange grittiness. Overall still a lot better than many pizza places.

Yelp
Two Boots makes amazing, highly flavorful and great quality NYC style pizza while having their own unique approach. This is a true breath of fresh air in Hudson County where pizza basically runs the gamut from meh to outright horrendous. Everything here is great, very well made, large and flavorful. They actually have competent people working here too. When you ask for "well done" you actually get it, made spot on perfectly by an expert hand. The great cornmeal crust is a throw back to the days when many pizzerias in the five boros would dust the crust with semolina and it's just delicious. They have a wonderful crust recipe too. When ordered well done it ends up with a great bottom char, a very nice crumb with nothing burned on the top of the pie. Amazing texture too only achieved by the proper use of ingredients, high heat and quick time. They also deliver to Bayonne which is gonna be a life saver for me! I could not happier.

The Bear M.

Yelp
Thought it was OK, but nothing special. Good service and decent food. Nothing much more to add.
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
Highly recommend their gluten free crust, it's crispy and flavorful. Their buckminster on a gluten free crust is the perfect ratio of sauce, cheese, and basil. I do get a good coma after eating though.
google avatar

Dena H.

Yelp
This place is open late night so it was convenient to grab food after a night out. The indoor decoration is definitely a vibe. They had a promo if you purchase a beer or wine you get a free slice of cheese pizza. However, we ended up coming here after a night out and it's ridiculous we spent $9 for just two slices. That's more than $4 for a slice of pizza. And the pizza wasn't anything crazy either. Guess they target / take advantage of the late night crowd since it's next to the popular bars.
google avatar

Shenice B.

Yelp
I tried single slices of the classic white (The Meg), pepperoni, and another white sauce (The Larry Tate). I forgot to take pics but they were so good that I ended up ordering a large pepperoni to go (pictured). Service and ambiance was really nice.

Lindsey B.

Yelp
Don't send your customers pizza where all the toppings are sideways. You're better off just canceling the order.
google avatar

Christopher P.

Yelp
I've been a fan of two boots since their green which location, but it has gone downhill. Sauce and toppings were fine , but the crust tasted like cardboard . Pizza was 4.50 and the cocktail drinks to me were way overpriced and not worth the money. J would recommend skipping and go to another place in the area

Yelp
PROS 1. The Bayou Beast, The Bayou Beast, The Bayouuuuuu Beast!!! Oooooooweee! Whoever created this is a GENIUS. Lighlty Spiced Shrimp, Crawfish and Sausages. 2. Good Options for Wine. 3. Good other slices like VGBC, The Meg, Buckinmister, Gramma and Cleopatra. 4. Flavorful Meatball Parm Po Boy

Yelp
one of my favorite pizza store in JC. Almost visit them every week! It is also a nice place to hangout with friends

Yelp
coming here after getting out of the club or just a cool day out is always so nice! tried this Bayou Beast pizza and I LOVED it!! it was super fresh and not the flavor was not overwhelming or overpowering. i love the aesthetic in this place, its so colorful and lively as well as the staff. also the prices are incredible! go there with your friends after a night out and experience the vibe .

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick bite to eat, got the cheese pizza with drink deal. The rosé was tasty and the pizza was a good size!

Rachel L.

Yelp
Fun place to eat in downtown Jersey. Lots of variety of delicious pizzas from meat to vegetarian. Great prices and by the slice.
google avatar

Tony J.

Yelp
I had a small Super Newman, which came with capicola, soppressata, and crumbled Italian sausage. The crust had cornmeal at the bottom to make it crispy at the bottom, but the dough itself was average and didn't have the classic NYC bite to it, in combination with the cheese. There was a generous amount of toppings but they weren't laid out carefully, resulting in several slices stacked together in places with an overly salty taste. Some parts of the meat were not fresh.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Saturday evening to have some pizza. We ordered a medium Meg pizza - White pie with provolone, parmigiano, ricotta, mozzarella, roasted garlic, and oregano $17.50 I also tried to order garlic knots but they were out. We also ordered two bottles of their Boylan's soda that were served barely chilled without any cups or ice. We were dining in and wanted to sit outside but the tables were all filled so we took a table inside. The place was not very clean most all of the empty tables were covered with crumbs and I didn't see anyone cleaning up. While waiting for our order it was so loud with the employee behind the counter screaming out to take or pick up orders I could barely stand it. They called my name to pick up the pizza and by this time thankfully a table opened up outside so we relocated. Now the Pizza itself we enjoyed. The medium had 6 nice sized slices and it's supposed to serve 2-3 which is accurate because we had 2 slices each and brought 2 home. The pizza was nice and crisp with the cornmeal they use and the toppings went together perfectly. White pizza is one of my favorites and this definitely didn't disappoint. So I would definitely get this pizza again maybe just to go next time.

Yelp
I tried - night tripper pizza - white sauce with jalepeno pesto and sun dried tomato. This was pretty good and satisfied my pizza craving but I wish it had more kick to it. not pictured but garlic knots were pretty delicious They have tons of vegetarian/vegan options which is great. Good spot for quick pizza options!

Yelp
Great place to try something different! We entered this place because of its unique appearance and unique menu. Italian plus new Orleans cuisine? Never heard of that one unless it's a muffaletta! Upon entering the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had ordered the bayou beast, the bird, and a meat style deep dish slice. Right out the gate, the bayou beast blew my taste buds away, I LOVED the NOLA flavors on pizza (my favorite food) and it was definitely a treat to try something new! The other slices to me were kind of a let down compared to the bayou beast. My advice is come here open to trying unique dishes, because if you want a common slice of pizza, probably can get one a little better elsewhere.

Anurag M.

Yelp
I ordered a "EARTH MOTHER' pizza to on phone to pick-up. Instead I was given a a "CHEESE" pizza which i noticed on way back. Beware while picking the order at this place if ordered on phone..

Yelp
4$ for vegan pizza Got the Tony one Crispy and nondairy Satisfied my pizza craving and didn't feel bad after !! We went around close to midnight. 2nd time I went there was no Tony so I got the vegan pizza. It didn't taste as good as Tony, and super thin, couldn't even tell there was cheese. Great thing is there were seats enough for all of us and we got the pizza QUICK! It was around 11:30pm after dance prac. The bayou beast tasted so good (might need my lactose pills to get that one) One slice is around 400-500 calories depends which slice. So I might split one.

Yelp
Let me just say.....this is THE BEST PIZZA I've ever had!!!!!!! My friends kept raving about Two Boots so we ordered pizza from here for a bday party and we were instantly hooked! We ordered their plain and margarita pies. Pizzas are huge and packed with flavor! They also make vegan and gluten-free pizza which is a plus. Highly recommend!!! Pizza was so good we only had time to snap a photo of our leftovers! You've gotta check this place out!
