Quirky pizza spot in the west village! Pizza was okay, great selection but didn’t hit the mark for me in terms of the right ratio of cheese and sauce. I did love they had a lot of seasonings you could add. The garlic knot was too doughy and tasted stale

My wife and I visited this place on the secret food tour with our guide, Nicky. We each got a slice of their Duchess Pizza, (named for the lesbian bar that stood st the location previously.) It was a cheese pizza with colorful rings of sauce circling it it ramped up the spice before dying into a mild sweetness. It's one of the top 3 pizzas I've ever tasted. Highly highly recommend it. Also, the history of the place and their ties to the LGBTQIA+ community are inspiring. It's colorful, gaudy in the best way and an experience to itself. I would happily go back and try their other pizza flavors.

This is the worst pizza shop in the entire West Village and probably New York City. The quality of the pizza is lacking at best. I often hear people saying that they get sick from it. I can attest that I’ve gotten sick from it on occasion as well. They’re too good to go so sorry they give garlic knots instead of pizza slices. The staff are rudeand don’t even know how to serve pizza. Just look at how disgusting these pizza slices are in this picture that I’ve put up. Yuck. There are 10 pizza shops within a five block radius that are 10 times better than this place go to any of them, but not this one.

After the 4th of July fireworks, we were looking for a spot to grab a bite and stumbled upon Two Boots Pizza. Despite the crowds, we decided to wait it out, and I'm so glad we did! The service was top-notch, and the pizza was absolutely delicious. The wait was well worth it. I highly recommend Two Boots Pizza to anyone in the area. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. Don't be discouraged by the crowds - it's a testament to how good this place is!"

Best pizza we had in NYC! Smaller more townie vibe. Pizza was delicious and affordable, and we loved the garlic knots too! Staff was very friendly and you could tell they genuinely just cared about the quality of their food. Definitely stop by here if you’re checking out the Friends’ apartment, Carrie Bradshaw’s Brownstone, or Cornelia St!

The place was great!!! The pizza was amazing, i really really loved it!! We payed around 24$ for 4 slices and 3 coke's so great price for a lunch! The guy who took our order was nice and it took around 15 mins to get our food, other vice it was all great! Will defenetly be back!!

A slice like no other slice, because it is vegan. They have several vegan pizza options and they were all fantastic. We tried a slice of the three they had available, plus the house salad is a good size, with fresh veggies and dressing. The service is quick with no frills. The restaurant is on the former sight of a lesbian bar called The Duchess, which they honor in a pizza. A fun atmosphere.

Went here again on Monday, January 20, 2025, and bought this lousy slice of semi-burnt pizza in which I couldn't taste the sauce or cheese? At $3.81 I felt robbed. The place sucks Big Time.

This is a nice little place for a slice. The knots and chicken étouffée were tasty as well. We sat inside to escape the heat. The staff were friendly.

This is an old family fave for decades since it was at the old location. The pizza has a unique flavor and a hit of spice. My favorites are their normal cheese and cleopatra jones. Service is always pleasant (order at the counter). Not too many places to sit but we always manage to get a table. Ambiance is colorful and fun.

I did a little self-guided pizza tour of the West Village on a Friday in February when it was 51° and Two Boots Pizza was my fourth stop. I ordered The Duchess Slice (sweet Italian sausage, roasted garlic, oregano plus a rainbow of jalapeno, basil & sweet red pepper pestos on a white pie) because obviously I was in the West Village. This place has about 12 tables and is decorated in fun colors. I thought this was a great slice. I'm usually not a sausage person but I thought the crumbly sausage had a nice flavor. I loved the jalapeno and sweet red pepper pestos. I thought the section with the basil pesto was too oily. The crust was perfect and held up to all the toppings. This was a different and enjoyable slice. I'm in!

Used to frequent this spot in echo park LA Missed it so much. It's the real deal. Very nice customer service and great pizza. Love the bird and hot knot. Felt like sharing after I finished. Yummy

Just when you think you know who has the best pizza in NYC. A new stop surprises you. This was a stop on a food tour. It ended up being one of my favorite stops. We tried the Duchess. It was equally beautiful and delicious. I'm still trying to guess what DLL the rings of flavor were!! I promise stop here , get a slice or a whole pizza- and sit outside and people watch! Delicious!

I love this location. Cool couches and comfortable :) a store friendly and good vibe. Average price $5- unique pizza menus. Although it's not a restaurant after we ordered the cashier brought our orders to the seats. One bathroom is at the restaurant. Outlet sets up maybe you can work here. It's right next to W4st station. I'll def come back here again. I've attached photos. Note: many homeless is around the street at night time.

- Open pretty late on Friday and wknds - Pizza is on pricier end but very good topping and cheese to flour ratio - Would come back, highly recommend - Toppings are more traditional whereas with something like irregular pizza, you are opting for more unique toppings / styles

Primarily pizza by the slice with some cool twists on classics. We got the duchess, pepperoni, and the newman. Duchess sounded fantastic as it's their house pizza, comes with multiple pestos, italian sausage - super colorful and a good flavor but quite garlicky for me. The pepperoni was great, classic done well. Lots of little pepperoni slices and not greasy either. The Newman was my favorite despite being a white pizza. The cheese here was amazing and really made up for the lack of any tomato sauce given how flavorful it was and the soppresotta was great too. Would be happy to get it again, service was quick, prices good, pizzas delicious.

It's a cozy pizza shop since it's much smaller than the East Village location. The slices are a 10/10 per usual.

Had the bayou beast slice ($4.95) which is a spicy typical slice with shrimp and sausage. Basically jambalaya pizza. The only drawback was the crust had flaky bits like Domino's crust. I really like this place for its Cajun twists. I tried the Newman, but the white pizza was sickeningly heavy. I liked the crust of this better than that of the bayou beast. It was chewier and a little sweet. The bayou beast with this crust would be nearly perfect pizza. We split a hot knot which is a garlic knot with jalapeño pesto sauce. The sauce was doably spicy and the bread was warm, soft, and dense. Great bread, underwhelming toppings.

If you're looking for run-of-the-mill NY dollar pizza slices, this is NOT the place! However, if you're looking for intentionally made gourmet pizza slices with a Southern twist that are dietary friendly, then this is the place for you! Came to Two Boots on a whim and I'm so happy that I did! It was busy for a Wednesday evening but that didn't limit the options available. I got two slices that I cannot remember the name of (see pictures) but they were savory, delicious and full of flavor. I had to stop myself from getting more. The service was great! Even if a slice wasn't on display (typical pepperoni slice) they had some in the oven ready to come out. The service person that night was exceptionally friendly which made the experience even better. The ambiance inside is was cute and has a Louisiana Mardi Gras feel which I thought was cute and a contrast from what you get from all the typical corner pizza spots available in the city. I would definitely and will visit this place again.

Good toppings but there's a lack of tomato sauce in their pizza. This lack of sauce detracts from the flavor.

I love Two Boots but the bottom of our pizza was burnt on all 4 different slices and it was super dry. The guy behind the line was rude at best. The bathroom was dirty and the hand dryer was broken so there's that. Get it together.

We had a reservation near by but had some time to kill so we thought we'd get in here for a snack of pizza. The place was brightly lit and fun looking but it was VERY dirty and they were out of napkins. We ordered a few slices to try and they didn't have any cheese pizza left. So they gave us a vegan slice instead. What? I mean I appreciate that for the Vegans out there but ick I wanted real cheese! And they pretty much yelled at us like soup nazi when they told us they had no cheese pizza and we had to re think of what we wanted instead. Sadly we went out and saw a number of actually good pizza places around the corner and were mad at ourselves for not looking before stopping in.

*** 4.5 stars *** The "West Village" slice at 2 am after leaving Marie's Crisis was everything I needed and more. $5 for a slice is definitely on the pricier side but we are still only talking about $5 here. Perfectly warm, thin, crispy but not too crispy and delicious.

I enjoyed not only my pizza ( The Duchess ) but also the fascinating artsy environment!! it's great for everyone they have gluten-free and vegan options. I was skeptical about all the flavors on my pizza but it was not as overwhelming as i thought. it was super yummy and I would come again. Is great for a group or even solo guest, not mention the descent customer service. they were also playing bops!!

[dine-in] I think their pizzas vary in terms of thickness, so it's kind of a lottery when you try a different one. Fun flavors, very vegetarian and vegan friendly. Bayou Beast - personal favorite, very thin The duchness - fun but wouldn't order again, it was a little thicker than I'd like. The spicy pesto is SO good though Pepperoni - too greasy Bombini - pass They gave waves of being very busy, but the line moves fast. Staff is friendly. There's a bathroom

We stopped at Two Boots during a "secret" food tour and I'm so glad we did! I only got to try a slice of The Duchess, where every bite had a different flavor explosion because of the layered sauces. They had yummy looking garlic knots on display that I would definitely get next time. The place is also really great vibe! Can't wait to make this a regular stop next trip to NYC

As I spend more and more time in New York, I realize how weird and unreliable pizza reviews tend to be. Two Boots is as good as it gets with an adventurous and varied menu with slices priced just under five dollars. I've now tried five different types and I have to say that the Bird and the Duchess are going to be perennial favorites. The Bird is pretty much the best execution of hot/chicken pizza that I've ever had.

Fabulous corner location and superb service. I ordered a slice of plain cheese pizza and one garlic knot and both were incredibly fresh, tasty, and satisfying. I think it was like $6. Definitely worth stopping in for quick eats. The ambiance is fun and interior brightly lit. The seating was comfy and the place was clean. Friendly staff to boot.

Great thin crispy slices of beautiful pizzas! Just like the colorful artwork inside this wonderful place, you're gonna want to order another slice of thier delicious pizza here ! This place makes the most fantastic artisanal pizza around. It was a joy to devour it and check out the cool artwork inside.

This is not two boots anymore and the pizza is awful. I definitely would not come back here or recommend when there are plenty of other options in the city for great pizza.

It was not until a friend visiting from out of town pointed out that Two Boots was a mash up of Italian and NOLA flavas, (get it? The two boots of each respective geography?) even though I've been savoring the slices for years. Shrimp pizza is a must. Slices are fresh w a crispy crust even late night. I'd put this place on a nyc pizza tour any-day.

Looks like a cozy & interesting restaurant which is what drew me in. Crazy wild LGBTQ decor. Pretty empty place. Got a slice of the duchess and 3 garlic knots. My very wonderful husband loved the garlic knots, they were so fresh and soft and doughy. They also came w/ a big container of delicious red sauce. Best part of the meal. I liked the duchess pizza w/ swirls of pesto and other random sauces and sliced garlic and sausage. Many vegan pizza options that looked great too. The vegan pepperoni looked odd to us. I'm only giving this a 4 star review because it ain't joes pizza!

This place has really good NY pizza! Two boots pizza has multiple locations and I am sure all are good! Visited the location at West Village last weekend and loved their GF create your own pizza! PS: They also do vegan pizza y'all!

Outstanding service, amazing food with fabulous vegan and gluten free options. Only a few seats so plan to take it to go, but right next to Bryant park so great opportunity to enjoy. So delicious, highly recommend.

I had a slice each of the vegan Clio and the super vegan pizzas. I love all of the creative toppings, and while you could definitely tell that the pizza was vegan, it still tasted great. The restaurant has a vibrant, colorful aesthetic. Worth a visit!

Can't go wrong with Two Boots, and the fact that they're open super late on Fridays and Saturdays is a major plus. The people that work there are really nice too even though they're working late. And the pizza is always great--I've only had their vegan pizza, but theirs is some of the best in the city. Something about the crust and the flavor combinations. Nothing like it!

HORRIBLE customer service nasty attitude. i don't care if the pizza is good or not. do not come here

My partner and I found ourselves at Two Boots searching for vegan food after working up an appetite during a fun night out dancing at the Stonewall Inn. There were not one but THREE vegan pizza options tho choose from. While they're apparently known for The Marsha, a vegan slice featuring a rainbow of pestos, we ended up getting the Vegan Cleo and V for Vegan because they had more veggies on them. The Cleo was vegan sausage, roasted peppers, red onions & Daiya non-dairy cheese. V for Vegan was a colorful mix of artichokes, red onions, shiitake mushrooms, sweet red pepper pesto, basil pesto & Daiya non-dairy cheese. This was our first taste of New York City pizza and it did NOT disappoint. If we had more than a couple days and a smaller list of other places to try, we'd have come back for more. Not just drunk food--Two Boots pizza would be great any time of day.

I have been a fan of Two Boots since the day they opened their first store on Avenue A. I haven't had the pizza at all this year, whereas I used to go 5 times a week. There's no consistency any longer. Each time I go to the West Village location, the pizza does not look appetizing, nor does it, in any way, resemble how their pizza used to look. The person at the register is the most unfriendly guy that shouldn't be working the front of the house. If I want to enjoy Two Boots again, and I do because it is, by far, my favorite pizza, I'll need to go to another location. Do better... UPDATE: The business owner is thanking me for my loyalty? Two Boots has been my go to in NYC for years. Got my favorite Bayou Beast, gotta love spicy sausage & crawfish on your pizza. Also got the CBGB also delicious. We inhaled both! Always worth the stop there for a yummy slice!

Two Boots Pizza has some of the best casual vegan pizza in the city! I do wish they offered more vegan pizza by the slice, as they typically only carry about three different slices in store, but luckily they offer pizzas of all sizes, including a personal "10, and they allow you to do 1/2 and 1/2 even on the small pizzas-score! They are most popular vegan pizza seems to be the V for Vegan, and I do agree that it is quite delicious. My personal favorite is the Vegan Meet the Meats (think meat lovers): vegan pepperoni, sausage, and chicken...and to make it even more impressive, vegan ricotta! It truly is heaven in a slice and could fool any carnivore. I love the number of vegan options, ranging from a variety of mock meats, vegetables, and cheeses. Two Boots is definitely the place for some bomb vegan pizza!

Pretty good by the slice pizza! I found the pesto pizza to be just ok but the other slice was delicious, super crispy and great flavor. I'd go again for sure. Plus they have several vegan options. It was expensive though. Overall 3.5

Visited this restaurant in 2017 and now here I am in 2023 begging my husband to plan us a day trip to NY just so I can have more pizza from this place again lol :D The vegan pizza was unreal...soooo good! Definitely the best vegan pizza I've ever had Also, so thankful for the red door because that was the only way I was able to identify the restaurant (aside from declaring they have some of the best pizzas lol).

Worst pizza I've ever had in my life. Threw it out after a bite I took comfort in knowing the money went to a good cause. Crust was like a cracker, cheese was thick, oily, gummy, flavorless. Whole thing felt old and Drake even though he told me it was fresh, I'm "used" to vegan pizza and am Not picky at all, but this was truly a dumpster pizza. Their canned beverages are also not cold. Restaurant is neat I guess... Go to Zazzy for a true and delicious slice of vegan pizza.

Love love love Two Boots! I come in for the Bayou Beast every chance I get. Sausage, shrimp, jalapeños--what more could you want? Except you ALSO get a cornmeal crust!

Get your taste buds ready, because this pizzeria is sure to drive them insane! Combining the best of two topographically boot-like regions, the state of Louisiana and the country of Italy, you get exactly what you think you are getting, a hit of Italian and Cajun cuisine all in one slice. I got their plain slice (as a baseline) and their famed Duchess slice to see how their specialty slice pans out. The plain slice definitely is good balance on cheese to tomato, crispy crust, but has some good oregano to balance out the basics of a basic slice. It is a solid slice and is worth getting again. The oregano makes the pizza not just a food coma on a plate. The Duchess slice however, does the opposite of all of what I wrote above, on steroids. Each sauce raises your taste buds one extra level of urgency. The spicy sausage only adds more fuel to the fire. I noticed some onions on there too, but it was not all too aromatic with onions. It just was a taste bud extravaganza that left my taste buds scrambling for help when this slice was finished. So is this the best New York slice? No. But would I come here again for more pizza? Yes.

Literally got into line with another person and they wouldn't let me have a slice of pizza but the guy who got in line in front of me by one Second to get a slice was able to get one. Very rude and discriminatory. Don't go here if you enjoy prejudice.

Wow, just wow. The pizza here is amazingly delicious and I just can't get enough of it. I ordered a giant pizza with half supreme and half seafood. The seafood was provided in generous portions of shrimp and was very fresh. Honestly, I'm shocked at how good this place is, even though I've never heard of anything talking about Two Boots Pizza. Definitely give this place a try if you're a pizza lover. It will definitely be on my list of go-to pizza shops going forward.

Two Boots is fantastic. I've been to this and the East Village location, and both are spectacular. I'm wild about the crust, it's thin and made with cornmeal. They have so many inventive options, including MORE THAN ONE vegan option. It's always so hard to decide which slices to get (I always get two, but have been tempted to get a third on more than one occasion). The most recent time we also ordered garlic knots which were really good, although I still prefer the pizza. The decor is funky and fun and you could spend 30 minutes just staring at everything on the walls to take it all in. It had rained in the morning of my most recent visit and so the few tables outside were wet (no umbrellas, boo). We were reluctant to eat inside but it wasn't crowded, so we took a table further away from others and didn't linger). The servers are always really friendly and make good suggestions and are happy to chat. They're also very good at enforcing mask wearing.

Two boots was always delicious and reliable when I lived here years ago. On a visit back to the city I was thrilled to stumble upon one and discover that it is indeed still flavorful and delicious even at 12 am. I had great service too!

I love this pizza. Well, mostly the Larry Tate which is AMAZING. I actually don't think it's that pricey for the quality and the adorable atmosphere of this place which has very Pee Wee's Playhouse vibes. Also it's an extremely clean pizzaria with a working restroom. You can't get that at a $1 pizza joint (which I also love for different reasons). Employees are friendly and patient.

Now this pizza was everything. It was the meat lover's dream. The crust was just the correct crisp and taste. It was not toó saucy. The garlic knots were to die for. And the entree salad was great. The staff was friendly and the service was great despite the circumstances.
