Google
I came across this cozy corner coffee shop after hosting an Open House in the area, and now I find myself driving there all the time for the most delicious iced latte with caramel sauce and Himalayan salt. Next, I’ll be trying their signature shaken espresso—it's a lovely spot, totally worth the short drive, and I’m so jealous of everyone who lives in the area!

Google
This is such a great little neighborhood cafe! It’s got a cozy vibe inside with comfortable seating, and the outdoor space wraps around the corner, which makes it a perfect spot for people-watching or catching some sun. I’ve worked remotely from here a few times, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The food is fresh and delicious, and the drinks are solid too, definitely a good spot to ease into your morning, especially when friends are visiting from out of town. That said, the service can be a little slow, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re in a hurry or trying to catch the train, it’s more of a take-your-time, enjoy-the-morning kind of place. One cool bonus: they have a printing station that’s super convenient and has saved me in a pinch more than once! The reason for four stars instead of five is that they don’t carry whole milk, and never have, as far as I know. I prefer my espresso drinks with whole milk, so I often end up walking a bit farther to other cafes that do carry it. I don't come here that often because of this- if they ever added it to the menu, I would easily be a regular and this would be a five-star spot for me!

Google
Great neighborhood coffee shop and cafe with in house roasting. There's two outdoor patios and a very cozy interior. Menu is long enough to have variety but not so long as to be overwhelming. We got a bagel sandwich, a scone, drip coffee and one of their two specialty drinks. The sandwich and scone were fantastic. The scone especially was one of the best I've ever had. The coffee could have been a bit better, it wasn't bad but any means but stacked against the other shops we've been to it came up a bit lacking. Definitely would come back again for the scone alone

Google
Got two breakfast sandwiches and 2 coffees both being very good! It is a little pricier compared to most places, but definitely a nice place to come and do work.

Google
Really nice cafe in but if a more quiet. Residential part of town. It has plenty of space with indoor and outdoor seating. Good range of options from decaf to chai to full strength etc. I ordered a decaf iced latte with oat milk. Their bean roast is quite strong and in the darker side. The coffee taste cut through the sweet Oatly oat milk which I liked lots, but if you're a sweet coffee drinker then be warned. Wifi is great. It is a little cold in some areas indoors but manageable. They close early which is a bit annoying (at 3pm). The staff is all pretty much queer for those that care. They also have some pastries and stuff. I'd recommend if looking for a new code spot in town. Would improve with let prices. Was $6.75 for a 12oz latte. And extended hours. While it was slow when I went so I understand only keeping doors open when busy but would be nice to have until at least 5:30p end of working day to stay. And spicier, less sweet chai like Dollop.

We were lucky to have AMAZING weather while we were visiting and enjoyed sitting outside for a proper coffee! Fast & friendly service plus delicious food choices! We’ll be back again soon.

We are staying at an air bnb ln Lakeview, and found this nearby. A very delightful experience that made us feel at home. We had a latte and flat white, and two scones. Enjoyed the chill vibe, on a blistering hot day. A perfect start to our day exploring Chicago!

Yelp
Great place to go for a quick breakfast. Got the veggie everything bagel, maple scone, & Shakerato. Great service and delicious food. Will be coming back!

Yelp
Overpriced :/ Why am I paying nine dollars for a latte that tastes burnt? Inside is cute tho

Yelp
This local coffee shop has a lot of character inside it. From the vintage furniture in the back, to the expansive menu up front. I love how you can get pumpkin spice and maple syrup in your coffee, even during the summer months. The pastries & sandwiches look amazing. All the workers are amazing and they explain items very well. Who knew this great place would be nestled into a quiet street corner? I highly recommend trying this place out if you're in the area, as it's one of the only ones I know that serves a 24oz iced coffee. Huge plus for me!

Yelp
Sometimes I'll open Yelp to try and find a coffee shop when I'm out and about, and Two Hearted Queen has popped up more than once on that search but I hadn't made it here yet. When leaving story time at the Lincoln Belmont CPL branch a few days ago this was one of the closest so I headed over. It's in a great neighborhood in Roscoe Village--in fact, when I got there I realized it was across the street from a townhome complex where we almost bought a place several years ago. The building where THQ now exists used to be a dry cleaner. Anyway, I stopped in and picked up a couple drinks to go: one Queen of the Night and a chai latte. I understand the Queen of the NIght was excellent; it was described to me as unusually complex for a mocha. This particular drink includes coconut flavoring and is garnished with salt and peppercorn, so I can totally see "complex" as a good descriptor for it. My drink was okay. It said that it included ginger flavoring or something but I didn't detect that (for me a little ginger can go a long way, so I expected to taste it). Though it said something about spices on the menu description, my receipt said something about no spices so... maybe they left that stuff out? I didn't ask for that, though, so if they did that's disappointing. The inside of the shop is not terribly large, though they do have counter seating for a few seats and then there are several tables further back in the cafe. They also have an outside seating area with as many or more tables as inside, I think. They have a Print Here station which I've seen at a few coffee shops lately and undoubtedly is really useful (I know my printer doesn't work and I don't have the energy to figure out why, so it would be handy for me!). They have free wifi as well. I love the theme. It feels whimsical to me, and though I'm not sure they had Alice in Wonderland in mind at all that's what it evokes for me. Two Hearted Queen is a corner coffee shop in a very dense neighborhood, so they don't have dedicated parking. What you'll find here is street parking, but it's not paid parking and much of it is restricted; I think that those restrictions are 6pm - 6am. However, I saw a woman preparing tickets so I didn't trust that I was reading it correctly and left where I originally was planning to park. Luckily for me on the Racine side of the street right in front of the shop which made it very easy for me to get in and out with a car seat and a couple drinks. The coffee gods were looking out for me! My biggest hesitation about THQ is that it's REALLY expensive. I don't think I've ever paid that much for a coffee or chai before. My chai was about $7.50 before tea, and the mocha was a bit higher but under $8. They were larges, but that's a 16 oz I think. Though even if it was 20 oz, I'd have thought it was pretty outrageous and much higher than some of the other coffee shops around. A bagel with cream cheese is nearly $7, that's insanity!! If I had been sitting down I'd have fallen out of my seat for sure. I might return to Two Hearted Queen if someone else is buying, but the cost will probably steer me to another place.

Yelp
Overall it's a cute place, but just a little overpriced for what you're getting. The Breakfast Bagel was $13 without meat added. It tasted pretty good, but pretty small and not incredibly filling. Probably should've gotten it without the hot giardiniera since it was a little spicy for me. The small chai was only 8oz and almost $6 and was just a boxed chai. I did love that almond and oat milk weren't extra $ though! I'm also a little bit of a tap water snob and theirs was not very good.

Yelp
I am a coffeeholic, have been to many coffee places in search of good coffee and this place probably has the best lattes. I had an oat milk latte and it was absolutely amazing. We had to get a ride to this place since it's not close enough to walk to and it was worth the cost of the ride. I would definitely recommend trying this place and then you can walk around the town which has many good restaurants and shops.

Yelp
Since everyone raved about this place, I had to check it out myself and honestly thought it was just ok. First of all, the customer service is incredible. Everyone is very nice and sweet. I got there around noon and almost all the tables were taken but i grabbed one open one. It's a chill place to work or get things done. The latte was good but I couldn't taste any cookie butter flavoring I requested. The scone was just ok as well- a bit on the dry side but I appreciate it being served warm. All this was about $12 which is a bit pricey but I love supporting local. There's also free wifi which is a plus.

Layla A.

Yelp
Hello everyone. I am feeling like a cold hearted person this morning. This establishment is unorganized, lazy and careless. We got up to order and the lady who took our order said "what do you want?" what kind of customer service is that? Another girl was literally drawing crowns and hearts on cups instead of attending to the increasingly long line which at this point, was out the front door. Are these people five? Why are we drawing hearts and crowns on cups which by the WAY we did not receive on our cups. Our coffee was UNDRINKABLE and EXPENSIVE. If I wanted horrible coffee I would have stopped my local 7/11. If you think this is customer service? You're dead wrong. Train your staff to make better decisions and hire a manager to whip this place into shape. I will NEVER be returning. I payed $40 for the worst experience of my life.

Yelp
As much as I want to support a coffee shop nested within the neighborhood I've tried three times now. Each time I bought a cappuccino for myself and a latte for my partner and after a tip it comes out to $20+. The coffee is good, staff is nice, and the location is great. Every time I try I'm just mind-blown when I see the total, I can't justify it.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best neighborhood coffee shops you will find! They have the friendliest employees who are always excited to see you. The Iced Queen is one of my favorite coffee drinks I've had--you can't go wrong with any of the flavors. The blueberry vanilla scone is UNREAL. I would eat one every day if I could! Definitely stop into Two Hearted Queen if you get the chance. They are the best!
google avatar

Alison Y.

Yelp
Awesome neighborhood coffee joint. I enjoy a smooth coffee that's not too sweet and this meets the spot. I tried Queen of the Night which is a mocha latte with dash of pepper and salt which takes this to the next level. The last couple sips were a little intense as the pepper sank to the bottom but the entire experience was excellent and unparalleled to other places I've been. Prices are a tad high so this is an occasional indulgence. Will definitely be back and try out their homemade pastries. They also have a cute outdoor area for those looking to have a coffee date or enjoy the coffee alfresco!

Yelp
Great spot in lakeview with delicious scones and fabulous interior vibes. To quote my boyfriend "their lattes do not fuck around." Highly recommend everyone checkout this spot!

Yelp
Lived less than a block away for 4 years and periodically want to "give it another try". I tried again today: out of coffee at noon. So my $6+ Americano was the recommended concession. It tasted burnt, acidic, and bland. I tried for the first time to work in the space. Great atmosphere visually however acoustically very loud, staff yelling across the shop to one another with little to no regard for the patrons. I'm happy to pay a premium for great coffee but unfortunately the Two Hearted Queen disappointed yet again. There's a Dark Matter location close by that is worth the extra walk.

Yelp
Amazing scones and great coffee in a cute neighborhood shop--what more could you want! Let me just start off by saying that I am not a scones person. They're just too dry and boring for me usually, but all of the reviews rave about the blueberry scones here, so I knew I had to try it. Now that I've established that I don't just like any old scone, trust me when I tell you that these scones are different. They are crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside and have the most wonderful blueberry flavor permeating through the whole pastry. I could eat a dozen of these bad boys (and if I had the money to drop $50 on scones, I would)!! The coffee deserves just as much praise. I got a dirty chai, and it was absolutely scrumptious. Perfectly sweet with a good amount of spice. The espresso is smooth and well balanced. A very well done drink! The only downside to this place is the price. I get that things are just more expensive these days and that you pay a premium for quality, but my dirty chai was almost $10. Honestly, maybe that's a good thing--if it were cheaper, I'd be tempted to come back every day, maybe multiple times a day. At this price point, I'll save it for my weekly coffee shop visits.

Yelp
Grabbed breakfast and coffees from here 2 days in a row. Just takeout and my friend picked it up for us. There was no delays and the pickup was quick. I thought the coffee was decent. I just had a plain black coffee but I think I'd add some type of flavoring next time as there was just something a little different about the taste that I wasn't used to in a black coffee. The bagel sandwiches were AMAZING!! I had the breakfast king (both days because it was that good) which includes an egg, choice of meat (I got bacon), and cheese with extra toppings (your choice of mayo or sriracha aioli or mayo, mustard, spinach or lettuce, tomato, pickled onions, and hot giardiniera). I picked the sriracha aioli and remove the giardiniera, on a sesame bagel. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again! The sandwich was around $10 while the plain black 12oz coffee was about $3. So a little on the pricier side but I would still recommend checking this place out! I'd like to go back and sit down for a morning here.

Yelp
Closed? Looks like not permanent, but went today, a Tuesday, at 330pm and it was all closed up. I hope it's not permanent and I can stop by again soon!

Jen S.

Yelp
A neighborhood staple that I'm glad is back open after COVID restrictions and a prolonged renovation closure. Drinks: Their regular coffee is some of my favorite in the area. Their espresso drinks are a bit hit or miss for me, especially at the price point, although they are very good when they are on point. Space: The renovation expanded the space and refreshed the look, although took away some of the coziness in my opinion. They used to have a great patio (even pre-COVID) which hasn't come back yet. Overall, I love having this place close by, but hope the ever increasing price point (necessary for the business, I know), prolonged closure, and lack of patio doesn't result in the neighborhood turning elsewhere.
google avatar

Andrea A.

Yelp
Coffee is terrific but the cracked pepper scone is probably the best scone I've ever had. I'm still dreaming about it 3 weeks later. The crunch on the outside and deliciously warm inside are simply perfect.
google avatar

Yelp
Two Hearted Queen, I just love ya! If you haven't visited this neighborhood coffee shop for your caffeine kick, you're missing out. Two Hearted Queen has all the elements you ask for in your local coffee shop: actually good coffee, friendly staff, and a warm, cozy ambiance. Sadly, the inside is still closed due to covid. I'm so excited for the day they open it up again and I'm able to get some work done in the sitting area. It reminds me of a cozy living room filled with small tables to sit, mismatched couches and lounge chairs, and funky art on the colorful walls. They even have a printing station which is handy! Pre covid, they use to have a game in place where you pulled from a deck of cards and if you pulled the queen of hearts your drink was free! My go to in the warmer months is the iced queen, the signature drink here (for good reason!). It's a shaken iced latte, dark or white chocolate, espresso, choice of milk, dash of coconut milk, ice- shaken, strained, chilled. YUM. Smooth and not overly sweet. You can tell they know what they're doing when it comes to coffee. Another must: the blueberry scone. This is the best scone I've ever had in my life and that's all I have to say about it. Get it!
google avatar

Tammy G.

Yelp
I had a blueberry scone it was delicious! The service was excellent friendly staff and love the atmosphere! I just had the house coffee it was good.
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
The baristas are a fun crew. Cute outside area. The place is pricey. I will probably only ever get an americano and a bakery item from here. I will be back though! :)

Libby R.

Yelp
First time going: the staff was very nice and helpful. The latte was a little sweeter than I was use to but had a great flavor. There is plenty of room to sit or work and it didn't seem too loud when we were there.

Blanca C.

Yelp
It's a cute place to work from, however their latte ($8) was not worth it. The wait was about 10 minutes. Only 3 other people were there. I am still surprised it was $8.72...
google avatar

Yelp
I really like the Two Hearted Queen! It's a fun non-Starbucks spot that offers great drinks, sweets, and some seriously tasty breakfast sandwiches! It's only a couple blocks from me which is an added bonus! It's tucked in a little residential area so it's pretty quiet, too, which is great. The selling point for me with the Two Hearted Queen is that they have a lovely front patio in the summertime with large picnic tables and umbrellas. It's a great chill spot to get some work done where I also bring my dog to hang out. I actually have never sat inside but heard they have a spacious seating area there, as well. They have a fun trick at the register where you can pick a card out of a deck and if you get the queen of hearts (duh!) you get 1/2 off your drink! I actually got it once and was very excited. Easily more excited than the staff... Speaking of, the folks behind the (coffee) bar aren't the most enthusiastic bunch of coffee shop folks I've ever come across. The lack of friendliness and the high prices (I once paid $5 for an iced tea... what?) are what keep me from giving this spot 5 stars. I also haven't been back in a while because of these 2 things. But it's still nice to have it close by and this is a good reminder to give it another shot.

Sean H.

Yelp
The atmosphere is good but overall everything is just too expensive. I live nearby and wanted this to be a go-to but it's egregiously priced so, like many other neighbors, just go to any of the 3 other top-tier coffee shops nearby. Sometimes the staff isn't too friendly either.
google avatar

Lisa Z.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I always pick up from two hearted queen every Saturday morning. It's a solid coffee shop that the locals in the area enjoy. It's usually pretty easy to just order online and pick up without wait, but today, we had to wait around 25 minutes more than our listed pickup time... so something to just be aware of when you're ordering around peak hours (11 AM ish) and when the weather is nice. Typically we go around 10 AM. This place has the BEST scones I have ever had. They're not dry at all which is an issue I find with a lot of scones. They're also not too rich/sweet. All of the flavors are good. My favorites are blueberry vanilla and the maple and pepper. Bagels and coffee are very good as well. Nothing you can go wrong with here!
google avatar

Riley C.

Yelp
They are open with reduced hours and offering curbside pick up during the COVID19 closures. *They recommend ordering ahead online. An eclectic coffee shop nestled inside a neighborhood. There is a lot of seating that stretches around the space. Though people seem to settle in and stay for a while, so if there isn't a space it might be a wait. They are good for a grab and go, but nice to sit and wait. They had fresh loose leaf teas to choose from and do not give too much to make the tea bitter.
google avatar

Madison S.

Yelp
The aesthetic in this place is so freaking cute ! So many seating options and a couple couches . The staff is super friendly!!! Would come back just to get greeted by the staff. I got a caramel latte - it was so good !!! Flavored so well and especially when you hit the bottom and got all the leftover goods. Also , the vanilla blueberrry scone was also PHENOMENAL - it didn't even need to be warmed and it was still moist when I came in at 4 PM. I'll definitely be back !

Cailey F.

Yelp
Excellent coffee but this place is unbelievably overpriced. $7 for a latte and $13 for a bagel sandwhich.... I do not think I can ever go here again due to these prices unless I find a $50 on the ground and want breakfast.
google avatar

Anna G.

Yelp
Doing pre-ordered carry-out only during the pandemic, these guys still have the best drinks and scones around. We didn't know about the ordering rules, but we stepped back outside, placed our orders and scooped them up a few minutes later. I loved this place before the pandemic as it had many cozy nooks and crannies to curl up with a book, so I'm glad to see they're still doing their thing. Stop by if you're in the area and don't hesitate to add a scone to your order. They're amazing!
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Aesthetic and quality coffee are the two things I look for in a coffee shop, and Two Hearted Queen definitely hits the mark for both of those criteria. Very cozy coffee shop with a moderate amount of seating (it can get pretty full though so you may not always be able to find a seat with a table). I've been here a few times at different times of the day and haven't really had a problem with seating, though. The specialty drinks like the Queen of the Night are pretty delicious! The baristas are all really friendly and helpful, too. Also, there's a fun little game you can play after placing your order where you draw a card from a deck and if it's the queen of hearts, you'll get half off your order and a $2 coupon on your purchase next visit. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area!
google avatar

Andy S.

Yelp
Premium bagel sandwiches at a premium price. I've only had the chance to experience this establishment during covid, which means I was unable to enjoy what looks to be a cute cafe ambience while I eat my food. Their bagel sandwiches are 10$+, and most of them do not include a protein. The ingredients are high quality and the food is well made but it's hard not to compare the quantity and quality of food to other fast casual restaurants in the area. Ordering and payment are h fled through their website. You do receive a text notification when the order is ready for pickup, but today I spied the food through the window and was able to bike home before I received a notification that the food was ready. I'll be back for coffee and a breakfast sandwich once the pandemic passes to enjoy the dining experience.
google avatar

Emily K.

Yelp
Great coffee, very friendly staff! Love the vibe and the outdoor seating is awesome in the summer. It's easy to pass by on the street and not notice it, but it's definitely worth checking it out!

Jake W.

Yelp
The manager Sully told me, "I don't want this to come up up again" when I asked for a regular amount of ice. She said, "I will show you the recipe to settle this once and for all." Previously I'd wondered why the volume seemed low. I just was getting "Easy ice." I love the coffee but don't need to be talked to like a manager yelling at an employee.
google avatar

Matt D.

Yelp
Wow! Wonderful latte and best scone I've ever tasted (cherry orange). Super friendly service! Only downside is that it's so busy/popular, there were no seats available... So I walked down the block a bit and enjoyed my breakfast sitting in front of someone's house. I ordered online, and my treats were ready when I arrived!
google avatar

Jenny B.

Yelp
My favorite study spot in Chicago - cozy hipster place that is perfect for catching up with friends or if you need a productive study day. There are comfortable tables and couches with plenty of outlets available. Also fantastic coffee and SCONES! The scones are bursting with flavor, I'm a fan of the cranberry/orange and the chai. When you pay, you get to pick a card from the deck and if you are lucky enough to draw the queen of hearts you get a discount!
google avatar

Meg T.

Yelp
Two Hearted Queen was super adorable. However we visited on a rainy day, which meant that there was a distinct lack of seating, with lots of people taking refuge out of the rain. There's a whole back area with a ton of quaint mismatched furniture, slightly like a playhouse or a lovingly decorated rec room. It was fun to just take a moment drink tea and relax. I will say that I would have liked to have seen more side tables even if they were smaller, and more unobtrusive. Because I did notice that a lot of customers had to utilize the squares to sit and were forced to set their drinks further away from themselves than normally they would. All in all, definitely a fun stop in Chicago.

Nancy R.

Yelp
The service was great and the coffee was definitely up there! Had their mocha queen latte!
google avatar

Ellen Y.

Yelp
I got the queen of hearts!! Lucky draw. The space is a little cramped, but they do the best they can with the space they have. Good coffee and tea selection. The drinks we got were lukewarm. As soon as we received the drinks, they were already lukewarm. They tasted good though! They're participating in yelp cafe week next week so be sure to check them out!
google avatar

Yazmin E.

Yelp
Went here for the first time last weekend and loved everything about it. The staff and owner were so sweet, helpful and knowledgeable. They made me a specialty drink and it was delicious, and they made sure I was satisfied with it. The outdoor seating was beautiful and a perfect place to enjoy a latte with a close friend. Having visited a different coffee business the previous day and getting rude service and subpar coffee really makes you appreciate local coffee shops like Two Hearted Queen. I can't wait to visit again! 10/10 recommend.
google avatar

Patrick B.

Yelp
The Two Hearted Queen is one of the most interesting coffee shops I have ever ventured into. The staff were kind and friendly. The space had a very chill, homey vibe to it - and it's a place I could spend hours working in, reading a book, or catching up with a small group of friends. I ordered a pourover - it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. There wasn't anything particularly interesting in terms of the overall flavor, and I was kind of expecting that when the barista said they typically shoot for medium roasts for their beans. There's also this really cool thing where they have you choose a card from a deck for the Queen of hearts after your purchase. If you get it, you get half off or something on your next order.
google avatar

Eva S.

Yelp
I've been here a handful of times and consistently love Two-Hearted Queen. The baristas are super chill and overall the place has vibes like you're in your best friend's living room; relaxed, in good company, happy, and right at home. THQ is located right at the corner of Roscoe & Racine, and I couldn't be happier that another café is in the 'hood. The other ones I like close by (aside from Sbux or Dunkin') are Asado on Irving Park or Lobe Pastry by the Paulina Brownline; I really hope other ones pop up at the Ashland/Irving Park and Lincoln intersections, especially on Ashland. After you place your order at THQ, you can choose a card from a deck on the counter. If you draw the Queen of Hearts, you can get a discount off your drink. If that card has already been drawn, they'll place a mini placard stating just that, and the deck will be placed off to the side. I've ordered the King Panini several times (ham, egg, cheese, sriracha aioli), the Ice Queen (iced latte with your flavor choice) and their caramel latté. All were excellent, and I really like their almond croissants and scones. They have eclectic furniture, perhaps salvaged from thrift stores around town, which gives their seating area a quirky mad-hatter feel (not unlike my own home!). That's probably why I love this place so much. THQ is a little oasis in the residential part of Southport Corridor. They have wifi, cozy indoor seating, plenty of outdoor bench seating, food & drink. I come here to work on my laptop, meet up with friends, or grab a drink to-go. Good vibes and good coffee, all around, all the time.

Yelp
This coffee shop is very quaint and comfortable. There is a lot of seating, which is great. I ordered the Queen Of All Hearts and I was pretty indifferent about it. It wasn't bad, but it was too salty for my taste. The noise level is also pretty high, so if you want to focus and get work done, this might not be the place to go. The baristas were all very friendly, and they served my drink to me at my table. All in all, 4/5.

Yelp
I've looking forward to trying this place for a while and they were better than expected. I think the photos of the inside are outdated because it is much smaller than the photos make it seem but still very quaint and cozy. Located in a very prideful neighborhood they have lots of info on fun events in the area. The staff was very nice and helpful and I love the decor. I got the queen of the night and it was awesome. They also have tea, Italian soda, and smoothies.

Yelp
Inconspicuous, adorable, and vibrant are words I'd use to describe Two Hearted Queen. After inhaling a large lunch around the corner, my friend and I were in desperate need of caffeine one afternoon last week. I noticed the little word "coffeehouse" under a huge sign for a cleaner's while driving past Roscoe Street, so we pulled over to fulfill our coffee dreams. I'd bought lunch so coffee was on my friend, and right before she paid the barista handed my friend a deck of cards. At Two Hearted Queen, if you miraculously choose the Queen of Hearts from the deck on the counter, you get half off your entire purchase! Who doesn't love a bit of charm?! My friend didn't pick the winning card, but the game was fun, anyway. We grabbed our cups of coffee, which were given to us in glass mugs, in true local coffee shop fashion when you say you're staying. When we entered the sitting area, I was blown away by how much space was tucked away back there! There were colorfully painted walls, a ton of bookshelves, tables, couches, and armchairs. There was a printer, a community bulletin board, and a bathroom. A lot of art was scattered throughout, too. The baristas walked through every once in awhile to check on people and pick up dirty dishes. I'm very rarely UNimpressed with my coffee shop orders, because I usually get a cup of black coffee (that way I can really decide whether or not the coffee is good!) and a snack. Two Hearted Queen's coffee has a unique taste -- almost chocolatey -- which was a nice little touch to my usual coffee experience. I'd been wanting to visit Two Hearted Queen for quite awhile, and I was really impressed with the amount of space and the way it looked inside, the staff, and of course, the way the coffee tasted. Try it out!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I are absolute suckers for cozy corner bakeries with pricey coffee and pastries. This shop is absolutely worth it! Great coffee and delicious bagel sandwiches.

Yelp
"Two Hearted Queen" coffeehouse is hidden on the corner of Racine and Roscoe. Once you're here, the warm, homey atmosphere will shut your poker face! Hubby and I came over before the Star Wars premier. Apparent Yelpers have given THQ a stellar review, "wholeheartedly," so I really wanted to find out why this place was this awesome. I went with the choice which Whitney Houston would concur, "Queen of the Night." This drink features mocha, a hint of Himalayan sea salt, and peppercorn. At first, I thought this caffeinated beverage contained cayenne pepper since I have had something else similar to this. Nevertheless, it tasted more smooth without the signature "punch" cayenne pepper would render. As I was finishing it up, I detected the presence of salt. Yes, I felt like a self-proclaimed queen after my coffee therapy. Hubby commented that his matcha latte was stronger than what he anticipated. Well, this was how real tea should be. In terms of the ambiance, there are a variation of seating available, comfy couch, working-friendly two-person table and chairs, and a small round table for the mother-daughter pair. Prices for their coffee are the reflection of the neighborhood: slightly elevated ($9 and some change for 2, 16oz. signature drinks), but I would say THQ was a great discovery. The location isn't awfully far from the Wrigley Field, just in case you aren't too fond of the commercial coffee shop on Clark.

Yelp
Popped in for a visit and was not disappointed. Excellent tap coffee(all beans regardless of origin are medium roasted) with one free refill. Plenty of organic specialty lattes and mochas. Local artists have their fare prominently displayed alongside a hodge lodge collection of furniture with plenty of character. Certainly a plus in my book. I am uncertain why the place is rated one dollar sign. It's 4 bucks for a cup of tap coffee before tip with one refill. That's certainly worth of two dollar signs in my book.

Yelp
A nice place - but too many (loud) little kids running and screeching around while the "Karen-moms" were oblivious within their little chat groups. Three battleship-size strollers took up entirely too much room and impeded customer traffic. Learned they are opening a second location somewhere. It will be interesting to see what it's like and what neighborhood it will be in.
