London’s New Restaurant Openings

"Hotel restaurants get a bad rep, but we were fans of this chef's last spot—Aqua Kyoto—so have high hopes for Uba, which will be taking over the kitchen at Hart Shoreditch Hotel. The pan-Asian menu is separated into sashimi, sushi, robata, and teppanyaki dishes, plus dim sum, ramen, hirata buns, and tacos. There’s also matcha tiramisu for dessert. Dined at this stunning Pan-Asian restaurant and was immediately struck by the elegant decor, absolutely perfect and ideal for a special night out. The ambience was refined, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout. Every dish we tried was delicious and beautifully presented. My only wish? Slightly larger portions to match the richness of the experience. Still, it was a memorable meal in a truly gorgeous setting. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to enjoy elevated Asian cuisine in a stylish atmosphere.

I enjoyed a private dining experience for my sisters birthday here in May. The food was incredibly delicious, the service was fabulous and the private dining room is beautiful and perfect for a group of 12. Destiny and Luca were particularly amazing, Destiny kept our drinks flowing and was overall so friendly and inviting. She is a great asset to the team! The only thing that would make private dining at UBA better would be if you could control the music in the room, that was the only thing that took away from our experience. It was my second time dining here and I’ll definitely be back!

We had such a great experience, would highly recommend the Korean chicken, tempura prawns and mixed leaf salad! The service was absolutely perfect Nari was our server, he was so welcoming, professional and even took the time to talk us through the menu which I really appreciated

Overall I get what they’re trying to do, the decor and atmosphere was great, the service team was fantastic, very timely and offered great suggestions. However portion sizes of the food missed the mark for me, especially at the price points, the chicken and prawn dim sum was lovely but besides that rest of the dishes I had weren’t as memorable. I think they should’ve gone a little bit more casual in pricing/dish selection taking into account the location.

We visited between lunch and dinner time so there were a lot of tables free and we didn't need a reservation. However before we were taken to our table, they took our name and phone number but never mentioned why they needed it. The interior of the restaurant is very nice and open. The food itself is really nice and presented well. However the portions is a little on the smaller side for the price. We ordered 2 small plates and 1 large plate and 1 lemonade and it was about £31 per person. I wouldn't say I was full but ok

Ambience was lovely and staff were attentive and pleasant to me and my two friends. Food was generally okay but a bit pricey for the portions being served. The big plates weren’t big in comparison to the small plates. I’d recommend small plates however the lamb ‘big’ plate was yummy. Favourite dish - lychee, jasmine & raspberry, crème brûlée, calpis ice cream Least favourite - scallop kusiyaki, truffle yuzu butter ponzu, umeboshi sesame Price - £50 - £65 pp with service charge

Very nice vibe inside and food is very good. We had the baby chicken, broccoli, chicken bao bun, prawn dumplings and beef tacos and they were all amazing. Defo recommend. Thank you to our waiter Nari who was very friendly and helpful :)

Very well decorated!! Love the lighting and the music, makes the dining experience so much warmer! But on top of that , the food is so yummy! The Korean friend chicken is super tasty and a great portion is served. The salmon is very nicely seasoned. The waiters answered any quieres I had about regarding the food, and made my stay super comfortable. Thanks for the stay, I would definitely recommend⭐️⭐️
