Ugly Donuts and Corn Dogs in Forest Hills is a great spot to hang out and grab some unique Korean-inspired corn dogs. I tried the Dynamite, which was described as spicy, and it definitely had a kick! But it wasn't overwhelmingly hot; it had a nice sweetness to it as well. Their corn dogs are definitely bigger than your average corn dog, so you feel like you're getting your money's worth. Plus, they have a huge selection of drinks and desserts to choose from, making it a perfect place for a treat.

The donut was so delicious! I got it delivered as a little Thanksgiving treat and it came in no time and was so good! Sweet but not too sweet and the cream is perfection! I got the strawberry cream donut and it’s not disappoint! Been wanting to try this place for a while and so happy I did! Definitely will be back to get a corn dog and try other flavors of donuts!

One of my daughter’s bucket list items before traveling internationally for school was to have an ugly donut before she leaves. For some reason, she loves this donut. Raves about every time she has it. She doesn’t even like sweets or anything with a filling but some how makes an exception for ugly donut. As soon as she woke up this morning she ventured out to buy her last ugly donut for the next 4 months and in her ugly donut world, a major catastrophe occurs. The CREDIT CARD READER IS NOT WORKING. Yes, except how she sent me the text. Of course, with teenagers nowadays relying solely on Apple Pay, she couldn’t get her donut. This did not deter her from her morning donut adventure so she went home to get cash. She comes cash and of course the apply pay is working now on the credit card machine. Upset that she had to walk home but happy she was about to get her donut, she purchased a donut and brought it home. Of course, when expectations are high disappointment is also high. The next texts were “why did the donut shrink” and my answer was “inflation” and “why is there only sugar on one side of the donut” and my answer again was “inflation”. I honestly could not answer her disappointment or questions. But all I know is I had a very disappointed kod who was looking forward to her ugly donut. I ordered at kiosk and I received cold doughnuts… the dough was terrible. It was not fresh at all.

The environment is FANTASTIC. They have a place where you can sit and eat, beautiful decorations on the walls, and a special area where you and your friends/family can take pictures. The customer service was great, and the staff was very friendly food was amazing the corndogs especially. I would 100 percent come back.

Cute little place with great boba tea and delicious donuts. I haven't tried the corn dogs yet, but they also look amazing. One of the unique things about this place is their specialized whipped cream dipping sauce for their donuts. The donuts have the consistency of fried dough, which I think is a plus!

Checked out this new neighborhood spot that serves Korean street food: rice corn dogs and twisted donuts. The interior has a cute aesthetic with artwork and neon sign. I came for the corn dogs. They have several different options you can try. I went with the mozza mix with beef sausage and mozzarella cheese. I added the crispy potato topping. They have several sauce options. I chose spicy mayo and asked the staff to recommend another one to me. They said the cheddar cheese sauce pairs well with what I ordered. They have a few chairs outside. I sat outside and several people stopped to ask me about what I was eating. They then went inside to order one for themselves. The corn dog was really tasty. The mix of flavors was interesting. I love sauces, but with so much going on, plain old ketchup probably would have been fine. Overall, it was good and I would probably go back and try a different corn dog and their donuts. Not too pretty to look at, but amazing donuts that keep me coming back for more. My go to at this point are -Blueberry cream cheese -Nutella w/ banana -Dulce de leche -Cookies and cream. I always bring it as a gift when I visit my Forest Hill friends, and now they go every week.

Been passing by this place often on Austin Street, Forest Hills, but this was my first time going in to do some exploring. I like how the menu is digital yet simple...in other words I'd leveraged the machine to place my order and of course I'd ordered their ugly corn dog with Cheetos - topped with cheddar cheese sauce and blended hot cheetos...wow!...I was sold... I was surprised how tasty yet filling this spicy flavorful ugly corn dog was...I'm always excited when it comes to tasting Korean treats...yummy!!! The staff members were cool as heck and were generous with giving more sauce if needed. Haha! This was a cute spot to relax and have a quick bite; but I did the take out...I look forward to visit again and taste their ugly donuts...

TLDR: Great Korean hot dogs but even better donuts! Pretty standard NYC pricing ($15 for one original k-dog and one donut). Very clean and inviting ambiance inside! Get the Nutella and banana donut and thank me later... I've had k-dogs in Chinatown and they are very comparable! The service was quick and easy - using kiosks instead of cashier service. This location is super cute and conveniently in forest hills (an area I recently discovered but now love!) 10/10 will be back again! Oh what a tremendous crunch that batter gives to the dog! The additional toppings elevate it to yet another level. Absolutely addicting and cannot wait to return. On street parking and no public restrooms.

The food and drinks are really good. I tried the original ugdog and mozza ugdog with a strawberry ade. The only downside is that this location is kind of small so it gets crowded quickly. They also have a machine where you could order your food and drinks

The scallion cream cheese donut was absolutely amazing, and I'd return just for the donut. It also came with a choice of cream, which was light and fluffy. Although I love black sesame, I should have picked a different cream flavor because the savory scallion flavor was way too good to be paired with something sweeter. For the price, the hot dogs/Ugdogs were pretty small. However, they were made on the spot and you can choose from a variety of sauces and toppings to customize your order. The staff was nice when I found a spotted lanternfly on me while sitting down (not the restaurant's fault because those bugs are menaces).

The donuts might be called Ugly, they aren't, but they are very tasty. One of these days I'll try a Corn Dog.

This place is really good in my opinion. I have ordered doughnuts from this place on 2 separate occasions. The first time I ordered I got a BOGO original doughnut through the Uber Eats. They had some deals available and I figured I'd try it out. The doughnut was delicious and reminded me of and churro (I got it with the cinnamon and sugar topping). The second time I went to this place they also had a BOGO through Uber Eats and I ordered the doughnut with blueberries in it. This was rather amazing, too! What it comes down to is that they make the food right after you order so it is always going to be hot and fresh. Both times I had the doughnuts I loved them. I realized that the prices in store were much cheaper than the prices through food delivery and ordering sights so this somewhat offset the BOGO deal. I will come back and try some of their more savory selections in the future.

This is the third time I've been here and it's gotten much better. The first few times I ordered it took them forever to fill my order. You order off a kiosk and pay with credit or debit card. If you want to pay cash you need to order and go to the counter. The people are friendly enough but in the beginning were too slow. Today I ordered and received my milk cream donut in less than ten minutes. The shop is small but there are a few tables but you're better off ordering for takeout unless it's really empty. Now I've had their fresh donuts before and they are hot, crispy and chewy since I think they use glutinous flour to make them. Today I had the milk cream donut. It is not hot otherwise the cream would melt. The cream is thick, rich, and milky. The donut is crispy on the outside with sugar sprinkled on top and chewy on the inside. It wasn't too sweet (which is the highest compliment from an Asian). It was over $5 but it's pretty filling. If they can keep up this level of service I'd definitely be back more often.

There's no way to express how truly delicious their ugly donuts are! The texture and flavor are unmatched! I've always ordered through ubereats, but recently went in to order in person and saw that they make each donut fresh on the spot!! Unreal!! It was very clean inside and the ordering process was easy. The donuts and the creams are so so good. One of my favorite donuts to get when I get a craving! Highlyyy recommend! They've expanded their menu and I really need to try everything! So excited!

My children love this place. The corn dogs are like no other. They are a must try! The ugly donuts are also great. Let's not forget everything is made to order and piping hot. The overall store is very clean and organized. It's a hit for kids and adults.

Started going to ugly donuts last year and the filled donuts were amazing. Now a year later, the filled donuts are a 3rd of the original size for the same price. Will no longer recommend this place to anyone.

I always get the sausage corn dogs with the sauces + potato. Please be patient as it is made to order.The staff is super friendly & always have great customer service. Sometimes it's a little packed & seats are limited but they package the order for takeout so well & safe, no worries!! 10/10 recommend!!

Donuts were a 10/10. They were made fresh to order and the you got the option to customize the donut. Store was small with a few table and chairs available to sit and enjoy the treats. They also had an array of drinks and corn dogs. Didn't not get a chance to try anything else but the donuts but I imagine the other items are good.

I had an absolute blast at Ugly Donuts & Corn Dogs! This place takes comfort food to the next level with its creative twist on corn dogs and donuts. The corn dogs are crispy perfection on the outside, with a gooey, melty cheese center that's pure bliss. The donuts are freshly made with top-notch ingredients, making them an irresistible treat. To top it off, their fruit refreshers and milkshakes add the perfect sweet touch to your meal. It's the perfect place to indulge, and I can't wait for my next visit!

Went on a run to Forest Hill...and stopped for a Korean Hot Dog - don't judge me. There are two machines to place an order so a bit of a wait because it does get busy. They make your dog on the spot so it takes some time too. I love that they have a good selection of sauces to put on the dog. I didn't get a cheese pull on mine but nevertheless it was delicious. Will be back to try the ugly donuts!

The best street food Korean corn dogs I've ever had!! I can't even put in words on how delicious their corn dogs and FRESH doughnuts that are made right in front of your eyes are. I've had corn dogs at so many different places and this place is IT. You can choose your different toppings and get different sauces. Their drinks are also so good and they have such a great variety too. Everyone who works there is so sweet and welcoming. You can also sit inside to eat too. I will continue going here until I've tried everything on their menu + more. I'm craving for another one as I type this.

I really REALLY wanted to love Ugly Donuts and Corn Dogs. Unfortunately it was just a miss for us, with a 10+ minute wait for a single donut. I understand the food is made to order, but we were the only customers in there for quite some time and there were three employees. One has to have ample time and patience to dine here!

What a cute concept. Just the way I like to snack. Hot dog with all kinds of toppings. I felt like a dessert so I got the Dulce con Leche donut. Umm delicious see the pictures... come visit at least once.... I'm sure you'll be back.... I will.

Ordered for pick up. Went after 20 minutes to pick up and still wasn't ready. Waited inside the place an extra 15 minutes. The place was not so busy. Really was hoping that the wait would be worth it but the donuts weren't so good. All you taste is grease not worth the hype.

I'm so happy that my boyfriend indulged me on trying this newer place out. Our corn dogs were delicious and the donuts were hot and yummy. Tiny place but we found seating both times. There are other shops on the same street but we agreed this one was best.

The ordering system needs some UX help; we ran into issues adding items to our menu. But overall, I like the concept as that reduces the amount of human error when placing an order. There was a very long line to order and the ticketing system doesn't update (you'll just have to wait for them to call your number). I got the original corn dog with panko topping. It was really good--super crispy on the outside and a juicy hot dog on the inside. It really didn't need any additional sauce. But the sauces they offered were good -- sweet chili and spicy mayo. I also got one regular donut with sugar and one blueberry donut with sugar. The flavor tastes like zeppoles, but with granulated sugar. It was piping hot when we got it. I like the regular donut and didn't find the blueberry one that interesting.

I must say the donuts looked harder than it was but was so soft on the inside. we got the blueberry donut and ordered 2 drinks. There is a kiosk machine where you place your order and wait to be called with your number. They also offer a variety of hotdogs. It's a new spot but i definitely think i would come here again to try out some more "ugnuts" (ugly donuts) haha. Location has some seating but not large. They also have a spot in back with a sign to take pictures.

I brought a friend from Spain who was visiting the United States for the first time here and her world (and mine) was rocked. Our minds were blown. It was the meteor that hit the dinosaurs kind of imploding. I've had the cheese dog from here in flushing months ago and LOVED it but THOSE UDOGS. WHAT. I was sleeping on them. It was a crime to not have ordered them before. The blueberry one was JUICY AND CRISPY AND WARM AND SO GOOD. The blueberry flavor really came out and the way the dough tore OOF you just have to witness it with your own eyes. It was amazing on its own but paired with the whipped cream I ascended to heaven. I actually legit turned my nose up at the whipped cream at first because I was like why am I gonna pay a dollar for whipped cream lol but one of the employees was generous enough to offer it to us complimentary upon hearing that my friend had visited from so far and yeah well I will be getting whipped cream the next time I come. Let me just say that the hospitality was top tier and as someone hosting my friend and trying to treat her to the best New York has to offer I was overjoyed by the generosity of this spot and how they took care of us. Back to the food though. Every bite my friend took of the cheese dog she said she was in heaven and it was so good. I am in concurrence with that 1000000%. I gotta say (and I've said it before on my review of the flushing location) this spot has THE BEST sauces out of all the cheese dog spots I've tried in New York (I think I've had four different places now). So good. Love them. I do wish there was a spot where we could put them onto our own cheese dogs instead of having an employee do it because it takes more time than you would expect and does hold up the line. Also some people are indecisive (my friend definitely was lol and it definitely held up a few people from ordering). And then there's me on the other hand who is embarrassed by just how many sauces she's going to put on her cheese dog and would rather not be judged for it. I mean yes everyone here is clearly VERY NICE but stilllllll. The scallion udog really had a scallion fragrance so you could tell it was legit. It was very delicately flavored. I would've preferred a stronger scallion taste but that's just me. It was still incredible and I loved it but definitely was outshined by the blueberry one. Anyways I'm so glad this spot opened up not too far from my place because I'm gonna be here all the time now. Get ready to be sick of me! I have an entire menu to eat through!

Delicious corn dogs with very good bubble teas. I like that they have great sauce choices to put on their corn dogs.

The wait was a bit long for a snack, but they are made to order. We got a bunch of donuts as an afternoon snack. They're a cross between donut, beignet and churro...? The texture is good, a little chewy and crispy on top. They have a self-order kiosk and when I visited they directed customers to order there. I'm not sure if they would let people who are tech challenged / want to pay cash to order at the counter. There were at least 5 staff members when I visited, but some looked like they were just learning the ropes.

Grand Opening was Friday, April 22, 2022. I passed it on Saturday morning (Day Two) so I stopped by to pick up some lunch on my way home. You have to stop by an order kiosk to place your order and then wait until your number is called to pick up the completed order. The ordering process was pretty easy. There was a gentleman that was there to help you out if you needed assistance. I ordered 2 corn dogs (plain half mozzarella cheese and hot dog and another with potatoes added on top) and asked for sugar to be added as a coating. I also got 4 blueberry ugly donuts and also asked for sugar coating. The sugar coatings are free of charge. It took about 10 minutes for the order from beginning to end. Workers were still being trained. Workers were nice and courteous. I ate the food after 10 minutes and there was still a good cheese pull! This is a good sign and gave me hope that it will be a good food experience. Then we found out that the half and half corn dogs were actually quarter-quarter which was a nice surprise! You get cheese then hot dog then cheese again and hot dog. I've always felt that this would be a good idea instead of actually eating the cheese first and followed by the hot dog. It's nice that you get to enjoy it twice!!! The crust is nice and crunchy and not overly doughy. So I liked it. The ugly donuts were also a good choice They were on the chewy side - what I would imagine mochi donuts are like. Sorry I'm not Mochi fan so I would not be able to give a better comparison. All I can say is that I liked it and would suggest trying it. I just had some today, the day after, and it was still good. Didn't need to be heated or anything to soften it. All said, I am glad it is another addition to the Forest Hills food scene and a good tasty one to come back to. I wish them success.

I must admit, I wasn't expecting to like a rice based "corn"dog as much as I do the corn, but it was pretty tasty. I got a plain covering on a hotdog with cheddar and it was absolutely delicious.

This place has decent food but we found a hair embedded into our donut after eating half of it. I pulled it and it seemed like it was someone's long hair. Did not eat it after that. They were kind enough to give me a new one but at that point my appetite had already been lost and since I ate half of the first one before finding the hair I didn't fight them on that and just took the replacement. Also, their system is bugged and it looks like they just launch some cheap software on a Windows machine. The machine added the wrong item to my cart even though I distinctly remember ordering a different corndog. I guess I doesn't matter because I was charged correctly but the woman working the counter kept saying they never had a bug reported as if we were lying about the corndog flavor. Needless to say, I will never come back.

Despite the store name, these donuts are a great reminder of the age old lesson - it's what's on the inside the counts. The red bean filled donuts are game changing. With the cinnamon sugar, it's nice and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and most importantly, not too sweet. And there's no DAIRY. How is that even possible. Staff are super friendly. Everything is fresh and made to order, so I would suggest eating it as soon as possible. Also order online so it's ready when you get there.

Oh, Yeah! finally got to try out the shop's popular Ugly donuts and loved it. Got the Blueberry donut made to order (though the wait may be a bit long), came out hot and crispy on the outside with a soft mochi inside. Donut might have a distinctive name, but it was pure warm joy at every bite. Also, ordered a corn-dog with Mozz- with special dipping sauces on the side. Corn-dog was alright--didn't really stand out too much for me. I also purchased a Blueberry Lemon spritzer to finish off my snack attack- drink tasted good. Overall loved my Ugly donut. Ordering at the kiosk was easy and convenient. Wait time is a bit long, with no available parking in the area.

Been to a different location before, but this is our first time in Ugly Donuts - Forest Hills. Unlike their Jackson Heights branch, this place has comfortable seating, but no bathroom. It also has a nice ambiance to it, you can smell the donuts cooking as soon as you cross the threshold. The staff are courteous and nice too. For this visit, we ordered our favorite Jumbo Ugdog and a dozen ugly donuts plus tried their Brown Sugar Latte, and it wasn't a surprise how we inhaled the food on the car ride home. ‍ Bellies full, we have no complaints and will surely be back in the future.

I've always been a fan of Ugnuts! My first experience of Ugly Donuts was in Jackson Heights in 2021. After that, I've been a fan ever since. I really love the way the ugnuts are made. They're always made fresh. They're fluffy. And just so freaking good. For this visit, I had the white sugar coating instead of the cinnamon one. Based on how this location coated the white sugar on my order, I wasn't as impressed as I was with the cinnamon sugared ones I had before. Previously, the people who have coated my ugnuts put just the right amount, where it wasn't overwhelming... it was like a perfect slim coat of cinnamon sugar. For this visit, it felt like my ugnut was dunked into a whole bin of sugar, but inconsistently, to where there were spots without sugar on it. I'm being overcritical (I know). But nonetheless, I still enjoyed my ugnuts! I think my only true problem is that I would have liked the option to not have sugar on my corn dogs. I know it is possible and I should have just said something. But at the JH location, I was asked before so I assumed that I would be asked here too. But this time, they automatically sprinkled it on. I happened to be waiting for my order when I overheard a kid come to the counter to ask for his corn dog to be less sweet. Luckily, the employees working were very gracious and just re-made the kid a corn dog without coating it with sugar. Kudos to the staff who made time to do that because they were getting slammed with online orders and a large crowd came into the store too. I should have learned from the kid - it was then that I should have said what I preferred. Because I did not, I gave it a try anyways, and I really just didn't like sugar on it. I was able to scrape off the sugar when I got home. I ordered panko to be on it so unfortunately I had to scrape off the panko along with it. Another note for first time visitors: Be prepared to spend money. For 8 ugnuts, it is $20. I also ordered two corn dogs which brought my total to be around $35. That is pricey for snacks! But it truly is a treat yourself type of establishment. I'm always prepared to spend at least $30 when I decide to visit. Long story short: Definitely stop by and order yourself some treats. If you're running low on cash, then don't over indulge, simply your order. Lastly, if you don't like sugar on your corn dogs, make sure you say something!

Got the ugnut after finding out it was vegan (can't do cross contamination of meat and stuff). I got a scallion one with honey mustard on the side for less than three bucks which is a great price. It was hard in the outside and perfectly soft in the inside. Will go back for a quick snack!

Their scallion donut is phenomenal. If you like scallion pancake, you will love this donut! Their corn dog is good too, just like the ones from other corn dog places. They provide a good selection of sauce, I personally think spicy Mayo goes the best with the corn dog. I'll definitely be back for the scallion donut!

I came here to try some donuts and the blueberry ugly donut. Then I came back to try the classic American corn dog. The donuts were all made upon ordering, so it was a little over 30 minutes to wait, but they were delicious, soft, and piping hot. I didn't get to try their dips for the ugly donut so I can't comment on that. I do think that the regular donuts are more worth it than the ugly ones, which look smaller to me and have less filling. The cream cheese with red bean flavor was interesting. If you like red bean, you should order this flavor. The blueberry and strawberry flavors were safer flavors for the general public and I also liked them. The corn dog tasted like a hot dog with the relish on it. Like the donuts, it was piping hot and delicious. Ordering was seamless with the kiosk. You get a numbered receipt that the staff calls out and the next number on the queue is displayed on a screen. There are several seats as well so you can eat your donuts and corn dogs fresh.

Love the corn dog with panko and sweet chili sauce! It's crunchy on the outside and the mozzarella inside was soft and tasty. The red bean donut was okay. I love red bean but the filling was too little (not as much as how the photo shows in the menu haha). I also ordered a matcha bubble tea and it was really good, but it had way too much ice. Would have loved it to have more matcha. The interior was nice and it's a good place to hand out with friends. They have two kiosks to order food from and I love that it was so fast to order and see the photos for each item. I would come back for the corn dog!

Came here for a quick snack before the movies. They had a self service kiosk so it made the ordering process quick and efficient. Our order was ready in less than 10 min which was great. There is space to eat indoors but it's quite small so be mindful of that. Overall it was really tasty and we were full. Def will come back.

The girls that helped me tonight was very nice and helpful. The donuts was Sweet but not over powering which is a good thing if you love sweets like me. The corn dogs without a doubt are ABSOLUTELY DELISHH, but I will say that it's very hot inside the store itself and the waiting is always sooo long. This is mostly because there's always a lot of people ordering since the corn dogs are really good, but be prepared to wait about 15-20 minutes. I will say the corn dogs are worth the wait because they're absolutely delicious. The Nutella ugly donut is really good too!

Great dessert place in forest hills!! I got the strawberry cream cheese donut. Takes a little time for your order to be done but it's totally worth the wait. Comes out piping hot so be careful taking your first bite. But it's a soft delicious donut!!
