Houston’s Best Coffee Shops | Eater Houston

"Aiming to be the Cheers of coffee shops, this come-as-you-are Midtown spot is perfect for meeting a new face, finishing work, or grabbing a serious cup of coffee. The owner, Soonkack Kook, is a coffee connoisseur and roaster who imports beans from around the world and roasts them in-house. The iced citrus Americano latte, inspired by his trip to the Korean island of Jeju-si, has become a recognizable signature not only for its citrus slush but also for the frozen bear made of coffee that sits on top, making sure the drink stays cold but not diluted." - Brianna Griff

The small, one-room cafe serves a small menu of espresso drinks, baked goods, and snacks, and it’s generally pretty full of folks hunched over a laptop. Un Caffe has quickly become one of our favorite coffee spots! We absolutely love their coffee and the warm, friendly service. We’ve been here a few times now, and every visit has been great. They also serve some delicious snacks and bakery items like empanadas and croissants, which are always fresh and tasty. The staff is super passionate about coffee and always happy to chat about it. We buy their Heavyweights blend for espresso at home, and it never disappoints. It’s a great place to get some work done in the mornings and unwind with a glass of wine in the evenings. We also heard they offer coffee classes at night and would love to attend one soon!

I was in Midtown and had the opportunity to check this place out. It’s one the highest rated coffee shops in the area, so I was very curious. From the beginning, the atmosphere felt cozy. There’s plenty of seating available, with one important note—If you go on a weekday, you’ll probably find *a lot* of remote workers and students with their laptops. It didn’t annoy me personally, but consider this if you’re looking for a calmer space. The service was really good. I can’t remember the barista’s name, but he even offered me water while I was waiting for my order to be ready. This is definitely the kind of place where you can befriend the baristas and have a nice conversation. As for the food and drinks, I got a flat white and a Mexican empanada. I must say it was a very good flat white, not the best I’ve tried, but it was worth the price. As for the empanada, I know it will be a little unfair since I’ve lived in Mexico, but of course there’s no point of comparison. It was okay, though. Overall, I recommend this coffee shop if you’re in Midtown and want to try good coffee for a fair price point. I will definitely visit again for the stellar service!

Great vibe with warm lighting and a cozy atmosphere. Un cafe offers a wide variety of drinks and snacks, making it a perfect spot to hang out or get work done. It’s always buzzing with students, giving it a lively and energetic feel. They roast their own coffee, and the quality really shows in every cup. Highly recommend!

Google
Been seeing on Tiktok for a while and today i got a chance to try Un Caffè. This coffee shop is located in Milam street, so it’s lil bit tricky to find a parking. I was lucky enough to park in the lot right next to the shop, which was very small and not many spots so be aware. The decoration is very aesthetic, instagram worthy. Only 2 baristas were working at time. Not too friendly but not mean either lol. I ordered Vanilla cloud latte, Matcha latte with oat milk and Almond Croissant. The croissant was really good, flaky and it’s huge. Tbh i was disappointed in the latte because i personally hate sour coffee, and this one tasted completely sour. Idk what kind of roast they used (like blond roast maybe), or because of the shots were sitting out for so long after pouring, it tasted super acidic and i didnt even taste the vanilla. I tried the matcha and it’s aight. Matcha wasn’t that strong, only tasted the oat milk. I’m not a matcha person anw, but because last time i had a very good one from eso popup, i wanted to give matcha a chance but unfortunately, this matcha didn’t satisfy my matcha expectation.

Had a good time coming here during my visit. They actually had a GOOD cup of drip coffee. The chicken tinga empanada was well worth it and the salsa complimented it well. I felt comfortable hanging out and the shop has a lot of character. Bonus, the baristas were kind! Vegan food options also available.

Google
Un Cafe is a cozy spot with great coffee. The flat white is smooth and well-balanced — definitely one of the better ones I’ve had. I also tried the peanut butter creama, and it was deliciously creamy. The espresso pairs perfectly with the peanut butter flavor, making it a unique and satisfying treat.

Google
This was a really neat cafe as we notice the owner of the cafe engaging with customers, conversations about coffee recommendation, all the while DJing (yes DJing) live at this shop! We stayed and dined in a little longer just to listen to music. Their coffee is really strong which is great. I tried an iced Einspanner, which has gained a lot of popularity recently. It was very sweet, not preferable my favorite, but I could tell their expresso was delicious and strong. Hope to come back and try another hot coffee drink sometime!

Google
So glad I found this place after a disappointing matcha elsewhere — total matcha redemption! The space is cute, modern, and welcoming, with super friendly staff. I loved that the matcha is unsweetened by default, and the barista went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. I ordered an iced matcha latte with a splash of their house-made honey lavender syrup — absolutely delicious. Smooth, not too sweet, and full of real matcha flavor. A must-visit for any matcha lover in Houston!

Yelp
Stopped by Un Caffe after hot yoga because it's always a good idea. Been here once and I wanted to try it out again as my first experience here was somewhat a serious meeting. Plenty of seating is available. They also have a bar with purse hooks so that was a plus. Saturday morning was not too busy - they were pretty fast making my order. I like that the ambiance was urban. They have wine all over too and quite like city library feels so it was cool. They have parking available adjacent to the caffe. I orderer a hot caramel latte and an almond croissant. Since i wanted to eat in, my latte was served in a ceramic cup. I asked for my croissant to go so they heated it up and boxed it up. The coffee presentation was sooooooo pretty with a leaf art in it. My croissant was delicious as well!!! I loved my alone experience here and definitely will be back again!

Yelp
Cute cafe with chill vibes. I went to Un Caffe on a Sunday morning and it was wildly busy. Not a lot of seating inside, but everyone was friendly and sharing tables. Very fast and friendly service and there are restrooms for customers in the back. I love the attention to decor in the place and the openness of the interior design. There is some street parking nearby. Not sure if whole milk and lavender were the wrong choice for my matcha latte, but I did not taste any matcha at all. The matcha latte tasted like milk with a hint of lavender. Color of the matcha was vibrant and I love that they didn't mix of the matcha and milk when it was served... creates this aesthetic divide. Price was reasonable (±$6) for it. Also no recycling? Curious about their pastries and would be down to try them next time I come.

Yelp
Has a good variety of coffee choices. Service was fast! I didn't wait longer than 5 minutes. The parking and seating situation is a little hard. There is a private parking lot across the street so it makes it alittle better. I like that there are outlets all over the place, but the place only fits around 15-20 people.

Yelp
Im a little peeved because my first review was epic but something glitched and my review disappeared. My birthday weekend ended with the most amazing cup of coffee at Un Caffe! I had been wanting to try this place ever since I heard the buzz, but it's nestled in the heart of midtown across the street from High Fashion Home and it's the first little shop in a small strip center perfect for those who live in the area and can bike or walk there, but a long trek if you're from the burbs! Met the most friendly barista, Brendan, who made us the most amazing Einspanner and Matcha Einspanner coffees. Imagine sipping tiramisu in a cup with the creamiest whipped dollup of yummy goodness. I got to meet the owner, Soonkack Kook, and he was super friendly as well! It was refreshing to see his passion for creating craft coffee drinks! Be on the lookout for new coffee drinks to hit their menu. They also offer fun events open to the public that they announce on their Instagram page. Secret menu items and events are on their IG page. I love that the owner has infused his culture and passion into one amazing coffee shop. They have baked goods + empanadas...don't worry, even though they close at 6pm it's the perfect place to open a bottle of vino and share it with friends with their amazing wine selection. They source most of not all their eats from Love Croissants and other local vendors, so not sure if anything is made in house! Mostly, I'd just stick to ordering coffee here! parking is limited: a gravel lot next to their shop, a parking garage across the street, and a few spots right in front...

Yelp
Pretty trendy spot! Super busy, your typical college vibe coffee shop, lots of students. Coffee was pretty good! Service was decent, took orders up front and received orders fairly quickly. We ordered the matcha with honey lavender, and a PSL. For what it's worth; it's pretty good. Check this place out! Till then let's sip!

Yelp
I've heard nothing but great things about to place so decided to check it out on a Sunday morning. Parking is a bit difficult to find - they have a small parking lot to the side for about 10 cars, or front street parking (maybe 5 spots). There is a garage across the street but not sure that is available for Un Caffe customers! It was pretty busy on a Sunday morning with all single tables taken but a few larger table spots available. Bar stool seats were available, which were great because you can watch the baristas do their magic! I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. The matcha flavor did not come thru strong enough, I think they needed to use a bit more matcha. Not sure what oat milk they use but it wasn't the creamy oat milk I was used to. These are just personal preferences though. My husband ordered a latte and it was really good! I will definitely stick to their coffee next time. We spoke with one of the baristas and she was super friendly and answered all our questions. She was definitely knowledgeable and did not hesitate to share. Definitely will come back if we're in the area to get some of their other drinks and baked goods next time!

Yelp
Service was great. The place was very chill with ample seating. A lot of young people studying. Coffee was okay.

Yelp
I don't have class until 1 pm on Tuesdays so I went to Un Caffe to grind and be productive for once. My friend recommended their matcha einspanner and I really liked those when I had them back in Dallas. We came when they first opened so our drinks came out very fast. The matcha einspanner was good but when you've tried the matcha einspanner from coffee u in Frisco, it's hard to find one that beats it. This one is a little more bland and lacking in sugar, but they have sweetener packets that you can add. I still liked the drink overall. They play very good music here that you can easily vibe and study to. The only thing bad about this place is that they really blast their AC so it gets cold very fast.
google avatar

Carissa C.

Yelp
Love the vibes here! I first went to Un Caffe for a pop-up, but today I wanted to really try them out. I had an iced latte with rose lavender syrup and pistachio milk, something that's totally out of my "usual order" of an almond milk latte and I really enjoyed it! I also had a vegan kolache which hit the spot, although I'm not vegan. They have some high quality items all set in a very naturally lit, chill coffee shop. The staff was very easy to talk to and there is a small parking lot beside the store. Will definitely return when in the midtown area!

Yelp
I loved the matcha einspanner! It was a perfect blend of bitter matcha and sweet cream, enough for my sweet tooth I went on a Friday morning and it was packed! The baristas were super efficient in getting everyone's order out though. There's a bit of parallel parking in the front and a gravel parking lot on the left side. This is my second time coming and won't be my last!
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday around 3 pm and the place was packed! There's more seating than I had expected, and my friend and I were able to snatch a table once we ordered. I got the einspanner, which seems to be one of their unique drinks, and it was delicious!! I've never had an einspanner before though, so I have nothing to compare it to but the cream on top tasted just like tiramisu cream --fluffy and delicious. I googled how to drink this properly, and apparently you shouldn't mix it and just drink with a straw to get both the cream and the espresso in one sip. They also offer an ube and matcha einspanner, so I'll definitely try one of those next time. I came to study, and while there were plenty of outlets embedded in the seats, the place can get loud, so if you're someone who prefers a more quiet cafe experience, this may be a bit too much. The parking situation probably was the most stressful for me. There's only a few parallel parking spots in front of the shop to park, but there is surrounding street parking available to park at your own risk.

Yelp
I have been eyeing this place for quite some time but since one of my girls drove all the way over to see me, I had to try this place out! Cute little coffee shop and can get quite pack for a Saturday morning. Parallel parking in the front and a small, pea-gravel parking lot on the side. The parking lot was a tad wet as Houston just dealt with a storm (it actually broke a bunch of business buildings glass windows down in downtown). But no worries, business as usual at Un Caffe. Einspanner is a sweet, coffee dessert with heavy whipping cream on top. Berry espresso, iced is an acquired taste so be aware. This drink is strictly for those who enjoy espresso and used to it. I personally enjoy it as it has a bold, dark espresso taste, as dark as my soul, with a hint of berry for an ever so slightly sweet. Anyways, getting the very last almond croissant to balance the darkness was heaven. Almond croissant was nicely flakey yet a nutty sweetness to start off my day right.
google avatar

Jasmin G.

Yelp
It's a cute coffee shop with a very small parking lot next to it. The coffee is delicious and the empanadas were so freaking good, especially the chorizo queso one! Definitely recommend trying this place out.

Natasha M.

Yelp
Love this place! Great coffee, great interior for studying. Bring a jacket though as it can get pretty cold.
google avatar

Jeffrey C.

Yelp
Small and bustling coffee shop across from Hi-Fashion Homes is this little coffee shop that can! The empanadas are awesome as well as the Einspanner, which is a half and half with a shot of mocha or matcha or ube coffee. It was really delicious and I'm coming back for more! Even though it was busy the barista, Brenden was super helpful with suggestions and very communicative during our first visit.
google avatar

Kulsoom A.

Yelp
I honestly do not understand why people recommend this place? The experience was terrible. The place was busy and several guests were in line with NO acknowledgement from the staff, who were not too busy to joke and talk amongst themselves, but busy enough to ignore new customers. Coffee was also terrible, for my taste.

Yelp
Whilst looking for a place to meet with my mentee, I came across Un Caffe. I have never been, nor had I even an iota of an idea that it existed here, but I have parked outside of it to go to Woosters many a time. Imagine my surprise when I found out that inside the dusty looking building was a bomb coffee joint. They have a dirt lot next to the building, or street parking. I do not believe the meters actually work, and if they do I didn't pay for it. I was there for over an hour with no issues. The place has good seating. They have wall seating with stools, private tables, and community tables. I went on a Tuesday and easily found a spot, wasn't too busy. It's got average noise levels, so don't expect a library atmosphere. Wifi was solid. Ample amounts of power outlets available. I ordered the Einspänner. This lusciously frothy and velvety drink is a little more dense, but packed with flavor. A very nice sipper if you're trying to drink slow, be it amidst a conversation, or just taking your time and savoring the flavah. Highly recommend. Twas my first. The staff were chatty, knowledgeable, very courteous, and pretty quick considering the quality of the drink. I will definitely come back, and recommend. Don't take my word for it? Check out some of the other reviews from our esteemed yelp community. They know what's up :)

Yelp
I stumbled across this cafe while shopping in the area. Beautiful coffee shops with variety of different choices in drinks and food. The workers are extremely friendly and welcoming. I'm a huge fan of their Mushroom Poblano empanada and coffee einspanner. Their coffee is strong. The ube einspanner was super underwhelming. It wasn't strong in any flavor, it was tasteless. I've got it twice already too, the second time hoping it was just an error the first time. The baby croissants are so cute :-). Overall I'll be coming back to try their other drinks!
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
We got the Einspanner iced ($6.50). It tasted like a fancy dessert! The whipped heavy cream is delicious, and it pairs well with the bitter coffee. This reminds me of tiramisu in a drink form! The natural lighting in this shop is exquisite! There are huge windows in the front of the store and elevated window pane in the middle of the store that acts like a sunlight lamp. there are books decorating the walls, on topics ranging from coffee, Korean, and food. The tables seem to be made from repurposed black wooden doors. There is a small gravel parking lot on the side of the store. The barista was friendly and fast.
google avatar

Yelp
This was a great place to try different types of coffee, including an einspanner. The coffees are on the pricier side but are a delicious indulgent treat
google avatar

Allie H.

Yelp
This place is adorable and gives off cozy vibes! Came here for a coffee to go. They have a decent amount of seats but it seems like it gets busy! Our coffees came out very quickly tho and the baristas were super nice. Had the iced berry espresso- for me this was a bit too strong but I think mixed with some milk I would have really enjoyed this. Although this drink wasn't my thing I can def see how people enjoy it! The vanilla latte was amazing- perfectly sweet and creamy, this was fantastic! Overall this is a great place to check out!
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
So quiet on a Friday morning! I wish I was a millionaire so I could get like four drinks but today, I settle for a matcha einspanner. Delish! Perfect balance on unsweet matcha and sweet cream
google avatar

Jamila H.

Yelp
When ever I'm in the neighborhood this cafe is a great option for work and a quick coffee! The staff are always so kind! Parking is kind of hidden, park next to the building so you do not have to park across the street!!

Yelp
Cafe Sundays! Been had this spot booked marked for a bit and glad I was finally able to try it. Sunday mornings were quite busy and almost all of the seats were taken, including the bar area. I got the honey lavender iced latte. It could've been more heavier on the lavender side, a bit milky for my liking. Also got a butter croissant and that was super flaky and buttery, great when heated up. They also sold croffles and it was bit over done for me. A little too hard and not much of that chewy texture. They didn't really have a spot to grab napkins or utensils. Found ourselves reaching over the bar area and having to request it. Parking - street parking right in front of the cafe (free on Sundays).
google avatar

Caim S.

Yelp
Visited: 7/2/24 | Spent: $6.17 -- After drinking a caramel latte, I had all the energy I needed to power through a late workday. The baristas were welcoming and suggestive when I wasn't sure what I wanted to order (I'm acquiring a taste for coffee). The latte was well-balanced between sweet and stimulating. The plentiful outlets and streams of generous natural light made for a great work-from-home space. I got lucky with street parking (free). Merchandise is available for purchase, as is natural wines and other bakery snacks! I was curious about the events they host to I subscribed to their newsletter! The walls are full with coffee handbooks and other eye catching decor. I'll most likely return based on the friendly service alone, but would be sure to ask for less ice and more caramel next time.
google avatar

Yelp
Last time parking was limited so I haven't had a chance to come, but today I was able to and got a spot in front of the cafe. The sign isn't really visible but I just assumed looking at Google Maps. I got a honey oat latte. They don't have almond milk; only oat or pistachio milk. the latte was good. Perfect amount of sweetness and coffee. The cafe itself is clean and spacious. Friendly service and cute small decor. I forgot to bring my AirPods but it wasn't an issue bc I really like their playlist - such a vibe! oh, and the coffee bar seating is awesome since tables can be close to other people. They have fast and reliable wifi. It tends to get busy and a bit loud but it didnt really bother me. I get easily irritated with loud noise so. Overall I do recommend this place and as long as parking is decent I can see myself coming back.

Yelp
Nestled in the downtown/midtown area, this cozy coffee spot boasts a few small tables and two communal ones for sharing. As you step in, the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee welcomes you--a treat in itself, in my opinion. Opting for something different, I ordered the Citrus Iced Americano. The drink arrived beautifully presented, topped with a frozen bear that slowly infused its flavor into the beverage as it melted--an intriguing touch. The ambiance was warm, and everyone, especially the owner, was incredibly friendly. Engaging in conversation with the owner revealed fascinating insights about him. After spending a couple of hours chatting with my friend who recommended this place, the owner kindly offered us test drinks, seeking our opinion. It's interactions like these that would make me want to return.

Yelp
TLDR - coffee shop with good vibes and great coffee. Also has wine. Get the Einspanner. Been to Un caffe a few times now and I can honestly say that it's one of my favorite coffee shops in town. They're relatively new, but they've hit the ground running. The parking situation could be intimidating, but there's plenty of street parking and also a small parking lot next to the shop. As you walk in, you'll notice the modern feel and minimalist menu on the wall. There's plenty of table seating if you want to get work done or you can also sit at the bar. Other than coffee, they have wine available for purchase. As far as coffee, Ive had the Einspanner and it's very good. Its become my new favorite coffee drink. I think this is the only place in Houston that offer it, and quite frankly Ive never heard of it before. It originated in Vienna and it's basically an espresso drink with a special whip cream, and trust me it's good! So if you're in search of a great coffee spot, come check Un out and maybe it'll also be your new favorite!
google avatar

Denisse C.

Yelp
It's a vibe- coffee is kind of bitter and my shots were burnt. Empanadas were good but $10 each. A lot of people were in there with laptops and the baristas were friendly.
google avatar

Ky D.

Yelp
What I had: Ube Einspänner: Basically a hot espresso topped with cool whipped cream. Was recommended this item and had to order slightly off-menu but would recommend if you're a fan of ube. The ube flavor was surprisingly fresh and the whipped cream itself was not overly sweet but provided a nice creaminess to it. The cafe itself is slightly hidden, I'll admit I've passed this place many times and didn't know it was a coffee shop much less open. Service was pretty decent, the barista was very friendly in explaining and drinks were made fairly quick. The ambiance inside is a lot more spacious than you would think, a good spot to get some work done or hang around. You could tell they care about the quality of their coffee beans which I can respect. Only downside is parking isn't the greatest and is a little awkward to discover unless you already know about it.
google avatar

Yelp
Swanky caffe. Affogato we delicious along with Cortado. the pick me up I needed for the day. They also roast their beans in house. They have wine & beer options for purchase as well. Great ambiance and the service was superb.

Yelp
Cute little coffee house. We were meeting friends we haven't seen and used this as the meeting place. Nice selection of drinks, I went with the citrus iced americano, she said it was a popular drink. At first I wasn't sure, but as the slushee part started to melt, the flavor of citrus with the drink really was pretty good. There's a good amount of tables and a mix of people that were there which is always a welcoming feel. Definitely give it a try if you're a coffee person or enjoy this type of atmosphere.

Yelp
SO YUM!!! Both the eispanner and the matcha eispanner were delicious and so aesthetic! The foam was sweet, fluffy, and so delicious and it mixed so well with the drinks. The matcha itself was sweet so with the foam it tasted like ice cream! The atmosphere was also super open and I loved the natural lighting and decor. I would definitely come back!!

Yelp
I went to South Korea last year and was in awe of all the different coffee shops and cafes the country had to offer. Each one had its own cute aesthetic and interior. I was really spoiled while abroad. When I came back to the States, I was really disappointed by the lack of similar coffee shops. Un Caffe is THE Korean-inspired coffee shop that is so reminiscent of my time. It's interior is well thought out with small details. I typically order the iced caramel latte. It is definitely not on the super sweet side, but not on the bitter side either. It's a very good in between, which is especially good for a morning coffee. Their croissants are also top tier. Each bite is so perfectly crispy and melts in your mouth. Would recommend the almond or chocolate croissant to any goer. I typically try to go here before work, when it's just opening, and depending on the hour, there may be a line or no seats. The staff always tries to do their best and are always in an upbeat attitude. They also host various events/workshops which I want to sign up for soon. Expect to see me soon.

Yelp
I was recommended to check out this coffee shop from a friend. I came on a Monday morning. There is a small gravel parking lot that's available for parking. Otherwise, use street parking. Loved the vibe of this coffee shop. There are some tables with seating and a bar to sit at. I decided to try a bag of their coffee beans and went with their 'Heavy Weights' selection. A free coffee is included with the purchase of their beans. I got a latte with pistachio milk which had their perfect blend of milk and coffee. Great way to start my morning!

Yelp
This is one of the newest coffee shops in the Midtown area. It's been featured on a lot of TikTok accounts which is probably why it's already super popular. There's plenty of bar seating and tables available. If you're looking to study here, they have a lot of outlets. It does get pretty loud with people talking and the music so you'll have to keep that in mind. The owner and the rest of the staff are super nice and helpful. I decided to be adventurous and try the citrus iced americano. It comes with a cute little frozen bear floating at the top! I can tell that the espresso tasted really good and not too bitter but the citrus slushy threw me off. If there was less slushy I may have like it more. My friend ordered the iced vanilla cloud which was more my speed. When I come back, I'll likely order that instead. Definitely worth checking out for some great coffee, though.

Yelp
Saturday morning was crowded and chaotic. There are large community tables and a bar, all filled with ppl studying. This is also what I came to do, so couldn't be mad at that. The wait to order was too long. The flat white was solid. Food, on the other hand, was pretty bad- the mini croissant was warm and cold in different spots. The vegan kolache was awful, thick and cold. I took it home to reheat and it was still bad. Two word review: to-go.

Yelp
Nice staff but this was truly the worst iced coffee I've ever had in Houston I got the iced vanilla cloud, the coffee tasted somehow both bitter and a bit sour, just completely off My friend got an iced chai with a shot of espresso, the chai was okay but the espresso had a strange after taste The inside is incredibly loud, seating is a few tables and the bar, the place was packed on a Saturday morning. Maybe I just came on an off day but I wouldn't recommend

Yelp
I love finding new coffee shops to try and review. Un caffe was another favorite added to my long running list. I got the iced lavender latte- my fav of course and it did not disappoint! My sister got the iced chai latte and it was good just slightly watered down. My other sister got a hot chocolate and really appreciated the design they made. The interior was really cute and good for studying! However, there are only 2 big tables, and the rest are all small.

Yelp
The coffee here is great! I had it a couple times and it seems barista dependent on how smooth it is, but overall is good. Nice chill vibes and easy parking in the lot right by it. There's wifi, but it's not the fastest.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop that does eispanner well. Decent amount of seating and the coffee want too sweet. They sell coffee beans there too. Overall great place to catch up with friends, work, or grab coffee on the go.

Yelp
A fierce and worthy competitor in the Houston coffee scene. Come here for some incredible espresso, drip, batch, or cold brew - it's all excellent. All around, this place has got it going on. The atmosphere is light and a little nerdy, with baristas who are always willing to talk shop. And the parking isn't bad. They even have $5 wine glasses of wine. Un Caffe roast their own coffee so you can pick up a bag yourself if needed. We've done this a few times and have been pleased with the quality. There are some things about the roast that can do with some improving but honestly it's a different feel that what is already available on the market, and I commend them for that. We love coming here and will be back, many times over.

Yelp
Un Caffe has become an integral part of my daily routine! I discovered this coffee shop while exploring the city with a friend who was new to town, and since our first visit, we haven't ventured anywhere else. Initially a Starbucks enthusiast, I was pleasantly surprised by the specialty coffee offerings at Un Caffe. Unlike the typical sugary-sweet iced lattes, the coffee here offers a different experience. My weekly rotation includes favorites like cappuccinos, cortados, citrus iced americanos, and espresso tonics. Among them, their Citrus Iced Americano stands out as a refreshing choice, especially on warmer days. Pro tip: Allow the ice to melt a bit and mix it before sipping for the best flavor. While the Espresso Tonic might not be listed on the menu, it's a must-try for anyone who enjoys the combination of sparkling water and coffee. Though it may take some getting used to, it's become my go-to drink. And now, onto the best part. Beyond the exceptional coffee, the community at Un Caffe sets it apart from any other coffee shop in town. I find myself drawn here frequently because of the diverse range of people you encounter. There's something special about walking into a place and being greeted by the aroma of freshly roasted coffee, warm smiles, and friendly faces. If you haven't experienced it yet, I highly recommend visiting this shop a few times. I guarantee you'll meet some of the friendliest people, engage in great conversations, and expand your coffee palate to flavors you never knew existed.

Yelp
Un Caffe is a local coffee shop in Houston. It is located in midtown and offers a variety of drinks, food, and events! The inside is had bar seating and tables, as well. It is somewhat spacious and is a very welcoming environment. I really like their interior and signage. Regarding their drinks, I got the vanilla cloud, the einspanner, and the caramel latte. The vanilla cloud is like a cold brew with foam on top and was smooth and light. The einspanner was more acidic and bitter and had a dollop of cream on top. The caramel latte was one of the best I had in Houston! It was not too overly sweet and was just right. I got the chocolate croissant, almond croissant, and mini lemon scone. The croissants were delicious! My favorite was the chocolate one. It was super light and crispy, and my parents really enjoyed the almond one. Their drinks and coffee are more on the affordable side compared to other coffee shops, as well. There is some parallel parking, and there is also a parking garage right across the street. Overall, I really enjoyed the ambiance at Un Caffe and their drinks and croissants, as well. I saw that they had a board with all the upcoming local events and latte art classes, too, and I think this is a great and would definitely come back!

Yelp
A lovely Korean-owned coffee spot with unique drinks and flavors - their coffee is quite good, but nothing absolutely blew me away. Cute aesthetic and a good place to study.

Yelp
This coffee place is located in midtown, and the parking is limited as expected. The entry area sign is clean and minimal. Inside there are a lot of small tables and long tables. Went on a work day mid morning to pick up some of their drinks, and their tables were taken up by entrepreneurs and remote employees for the looks of it. Their long counter bar had seats but did not look inviting because it just looked messy and very busy. Very cluttered. If you are looking for a cute coffee place, this is not instagram worthy for pictures. They did deliver on their coffee. Ice cloud, affogato, cortado, and matcha drinks were alright. Their coffee did not have the harsh acidity of typical coffee. The temperatures were also pleasant and drinkable instantly. One of my coworkers tried their pastries, and did not recommend. Place isn't convenient to frequent unless you are in the area, and are in walking distance.

Yelp
Un Caffe is an aesthetically pleasing, Korean owned coffee shop in midtown. With its chill hip hop vibes in the background, and roasting equipment on site, they serve some of the best coffee I've had in Houston. While I'm by no means a coffee snob, I do appreciate a quality cup of coffee or shot of espresso. They have a variety of coffee equipment, gadgets, scales, grinders, etc. all to make a precise, perfect, cup of joe. Their signature drinks seem to be their iced vanilla cloud, berry espresso iced, and citrus iced americanos which I saw multiple people order. This particular visit I tried their honey lavender latte w/ pistachio milk. The honey lavender syrup they use is made in house, and wasn't too sweet. The floral notes of the lavender paired really well with their in house roasted espresso. Midtown is lucky to have gotten this nice of a coffee shop. Un Caffe is a great coffee shop to study at or get some work done. Plenty of tables/outlets for sure. I will definitely become a regular here, enjoy!

Yelp
I'm going to have to come few more times to see what the hype is about this place. Decent menu. Good to see they roast their own beans They do have enough seating for a slow day.. it will definitely be difficult to find a seat if you come on a weekend. Parking - there's a garage across the street that seems to be free (just don't leave it overnight) Bathroom .. very tight space and doesn't feel clean at all Wifi is great! No lag even if the cafe is full. pswrd btw is : coffeelove Music here is kind of on the loud side but its not obnoxious. I couldn't give it 5 stars on my first visit. I don't see what makes this place uniquely korean type vibes.. I guess its the fact that they sell korean snacks and put korean books as decoration?

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday morning and they were very busy with no seating. They have a lot of seats available but they were all filled. I thought the both einspanner and citrus americano were too acidic or sour for my personal preference but the presentation was cute. A lot of people seem to study here. Street parking available.
