This gives the skin side of the fillet an unforgettable fragrance and flavour. The owner-chef’s primary focus in purchasing unagi is not where it is from but how good the quality is. You must arrive before 9:30 AM to join the queue for signing up for lunch reservations. Each session lasts an hour, and they usually accommodate around 10 customers. The food was exceptionally delicious, and I personally visited this restaurant twice whenever I return to Osaka. The unagi is freshly slaughtered and grilled right in front of you, resulting in a perfectly cooked dish with a crispy exterior and a soft interior, complemented by the natural sweetness of the eel. Highly recommend!!!

Not much far from the station. The resteraunt can serve up to 10 people at a times. So in the morning around 9.30 am they put a paper in front of the store, and you sign up for the time you want to eat 11.00,12.00,13.00,14.00 When the time come, come in front of the store and wait for the staff to call your name. I go on weekday and it is not full, even if you dont come early to sign up for queue, you can walk in. (There is other customer who come walk in while i eating) There is english menu. The staffs is kind. The unagi is delicious. The price is reasonable. You can see the staff cook the fresh unagi from start (Ps. you can not take the kitchen photo)

One of the best places in Osaka to try Kansai-style unagi, where the unagi is grilled all the way. Shop opens at 11am but they will leave a list with time slots at each hour for sitting. There are 9 seats per sitting in total. I arrived at 10.15am and managed to secure the 11am slot. Unagi is filleted and grilled in front of you. Unagi was beautiful grilled and with crispy skin. English menu is available. Unfortunately, this shop is in serious need of equipment upgrade for their cooking hood. The smokiness from the grilled enveloped the entire room and would stink your clothes.

Incredible eel from this gem of a 10 seater prepared in front of our eyes. Best to go there around 9.30am and put your name down for one of the four daily services (11am through 2pm). Arigatou!!

Got there at around 11:30am and was able to squeeze into a time slot at 2pm. The restaurant has only 10 counter seatings, and can only accommodate that many diners on a hourly basis. Had the 特上 set, and the Kansai style unagi was grilled to perfection with a blend of the homemade tare and the natural taste of the eel. Having a front row seat of the master chef butchering and grilling the unagi was defiantly another highlight of the experience.

Although it is my most expensive meal of my trip, but it deserved. It is very delicious! I arrived around 10am and signed up. I am very lucky, because I signed last two seats🥰 This is my first time to see chef cook eel. Restaurant is small, everyone sit in front of of kitchen and enjoy this cooking show. Eel is crispy and yummy. My friend and me enjoy this meal a lots, thank you so much🥰 If next time I come to Osaka again, I will come to have lunch again😋

Worst staff attitude ever in Japan. I fully understand and respect no-photography policies in certain restaurants. However, the signage indicating this rule was only placed in front of certain seats, and there was no such sign visible from where I was seated. Consequently, I was unaware of the restriction when I raised my phone to take a picture of the kitchen area. A staff member then shouted "No! No!" at me in a very rude and abrupt way, causing significant embarrassment. Like seriously? For a strict rule like this to be followed, it needs to be clearly and obviously communicated to all customers, not just those in specific locations. Otherwise you can't blame people for not knowing. While the food itself was ok, the staff's attitude and arrogance were truly unbearable and overshadowed any positives.

Reached there at 1030, still got 2 seats for 11 am, food and ambience is excellent. A must try when you visit osaka and love unagi!
