Detroit’s Best Vegetarian and Vegan Restaurants, 2025 | Eater Detroit

"This Dearborn spot is a refuge for vegans who just want to bite into a juicy, fast food-style burger. Choose from items biscuits and gravy, fried “chicken” sandwiches, and vegan Philly cheesesteak. The menu is available for dine-in as well as delivery and carryout. Local food writer and faithful vegan, Randiah Camille Green, swears by the eatery’s chili cheese fries, which, according to a recent Year in Eater survey, she had to do a double take to make sure they were meat-free. “It’s that good,” she says." - Eater Staff

I found out that the ‘meat’ is all made from pea protein. My Chick’n patty was delicious. The flavor and texture were excellent (I don’t normally eat meat substitutes, but was curious to try a lunch spot with vegan options.) My friend got the burger and said it was delicious. Fries were hot and crispy. Options available for vegan, dairy-free and gluten free. (I would recommend you ask your own questions regarding gluten free - not sure if this is suitable for celiac.) Will be back to try the Oreo Shake.

Google
Great food, great service, friendly staff. This place does not disappoint. They really know how to make Great Burgers 🍔 🙌🏿 So far, I've had the Mushroom Melt and the Smoky Sweet BBQ, and they both were great. Brought my son both times, and he love it so much, he wanted to write this review: "I would love to work here. l would recommend your family to come over here"

Google
Good food and service. Public parking lot behind the restaurant, during peak hrs good luck with that. Other parking options with 2-3 blocks were less crowded. Dining space is small and chairs aren’t comfy. You can place order on self-serve screens or with cashier. Fries and sauces are delicious.

Google
Good food!!! I had the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Sandwich. It was mighty tasty! It had a great texture and flavor. It was also nice that it was made with pea protein instead of just being a big slab of soy.

Google
I ate the fries before I remembered to take a picture. But this food was AMAZING! I honestly just typed in “vegetarian friendly food near me” on Google and Unburger was one of the first results to come back. I am so glad it did. The fries were seasoned to perfection and the sandwich was top tier. I got the Chicken Bacon Sandwich and not only was it extremely flavorful it was huge I could only eat half in one sitting. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Traveled 2 & 1/2 hrs. Well worth it. Food was delicious. Had a double cheeseburger and a cheese fry, and strawberry shake, and kumbucha too!! All amazing!! Wish we had good vegan food like this in Ohio!!

Google
Updated: Came back for a 2nd time because my husband can't eat anywhere he has a dairy allergy. My husband likes the Orginal and Smokey sweet burger I personally can't eat here tho Portions are way too big for me, it doesn't reheat well. Too much spice, Cajun like seasoning for people with gut issues and gastritis. Super expensive.

Google
I called ahead of time about their gluten free options and they have a dedicated fryer for their fries. I had their loaded fries and tried kombucha for the first time. It was so delicious, and reasonably priced.

Yelp
As a vegan, I'm always looking for a spot to try. This had many choices and I thought it was good. I did try a salad which was worthwhile. I also had the mushroom burger - again solid. There was a lot of staff milling around, and the person at the register did not seem to know the menu very well so I felt a little lost as to what I should order. But the food I ended up with was good.

Yelp
The upgrades to the place are nice, it's brighter and open now. Y'all hit a home run with the food, the chicken sandwich before all the changes was good, this new one....... it's on a whole nother level of dopeness. Would have gave you 5 stars, you get a ding for the price doe. This is burger & fries just without meat & dairy. Bring that price down and I'd come all the time.

Yelp
Was really excited to try this place out. We ordered over $100 worth of food ...Couple of things were a turn off though. - Burgers are really messy and literally falling apart before you start to eat it - The mushroom melt burger was way too salty - I was super excited to try the hippie hash because of the brussels sprouts but the two that we ordered had 90% potatoes - for a burger place they really need to invest in a condiment dispenser instead of having to ask them to give you multiple packets of ketchup and mustard which they seem to do begrudgingly. - Overpriced in my opinion. - The strawberry milkshake we ordered looked like a vanilla shake, and it tasted more like a sweet shake, no strawberry flavor anywhere to be found. It's so obvious they paying for fake reviews around the web, many one and done reviewers. It was a half an hour drive to get to this place so we definitely will not be coming back .

Yelp
I bookmarked Unburger Grill as an option for eats on my birthday getaway to Detroit. I chose it because of it being close to Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) at the time, plus there were quality pictures shared via yelp that put me at ease to visit. Prior to even visiting, I took a liking to the Chipotle Black Bean Burger. However, while ordering on the kiosk machine that sat by the door my interest went from ordering the Chipotle Black Bean Burger, to ordering the Chick'n Strips Box instead. Typical me, tehehe. My order was completed within a reasonable timeframe, plus I had enough time to dine-in being that I did not have to go out of my way to visit. While dining in, I enjoyed the majority of the music played in the background, specifically Ariana Grande - Into You, and Lana Del Rey - Summertime Sadness, which are two of my favorite songs. The french fries were good, with a unique taste similar to Andy Capp's hot fries. As a whole I enjoyed the Chick'n Strips Box; the texture of the chicken strips were different compared to any other plant-based version that I have had. They were certainly not the best chicken strips I have had, and not the worst. All in all, I had a good ordering experience with Unburger. And as mentioned, I enjoyed my meal and would surely order from again during any of my ventures back to Detroit. Atmosphere: 4 | Service: 5 | Food: 4 Recommendations: Sloppy Chopped BBQ Chick'n, The Unoriginal, The Classic, Smoky Sweet Barbecue, Chipotle Black Bean, Maple Mustard Chick'n, Chick'n Strips Box, Handful Fries, Loaded Nachos, or Loaded Chili. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

Yelp
We ordered via DoorDash and were not disappointed. The restaurant accepted the order straight away and it was delivered long before the time promised. Everything was properly packaged, hot, and the bag was stapled shut (which we always appreciate). We ordered the chili cheese fries and the sloppy chopped BBQ chik'n sandwich. The fries were a large portion smothered with chili and cheese - they cheese has a slight sweetness to it and a nice consistency. The chili with beans is pretty good. The sloppy chopped BBQ chik'n sandwich was really great when you get a little bit everything in one bite! The slaw is SO good! It provided the perfect crunch that was needed on this sandwich. Can't wait to try a few more things in the menu.

Yelp
The buffalo ranch chickn is SO GOOD and I'm so glad I tried the cheese fries. I'd never know it wasn't dairy cheese. Smooth, rich, creamy, savory, everything you want in a cheese sauce. Fries are perfect - fresh and seasoned. Now, I love a chicken sandwich, and this one is up there with some of my favorites, and no animals had to be killed for me to eat it! Everything about it is just so good - texture of the patty, sauces, the yummy sweet pickles, perfect toasted soft bun...it's just awesome. I love this place and am so glad to live nearby.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this vegan restaurant that also advertised gluten-free buns since I follow a plant-based diet and have gluten sensitivity. Unfortunately, my experience was not as good as I had expected. During my last visit, I received a burnt bun, an overly salty burger, and stale fries. I was disappointed with my meal, and I hate leaving negative reviews for businesses like this because I understand how limited vegan options can be. After my visit, I contacted the restaurant and spoke to a representative whose name I unfortunately forgot. They informed me that the buns come frozen, which may have contributed to the burn marks. While I understand that, I still feel like I wasted my $22 on a meal that I could have easily prepared at home. This is one of the reasons why I don't eat out often. On a positive note, the restaurant's interior was clean, and the cashier was busy wiping down surfaces. I appreciated the unique stools that rotated, but the food ultimately fell short of my expectations. I may consider dining in next time instead of getting takeout in the hopes that the food will be better.

Yelp
Amazing vibe when you walk in (clean and bright) the Maple Mustard "Chicken" is my GO TO (Don't forget to grab a Kombucha

Yelp
So this was partially my fault for not reading the reviews to see if it's a vegan/plant based food/restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly, the place was not busy when I was there. This was this my type of food, not at all so I don't have much to measure it at all.

Yelp
I stopped in today to check out the updated restaurant. How vibrant! I really like the new layout and flow. I ordered on their slick new website. Ordering was easy, quick, and ready before the quoted time. The other bonus was that I received a text when my order was ready, so no guess work on if your food has been ready or is nowhere near done. The workers were friendly and organized, and Chef Oliver was there front and center, just like always! So glad to see him again. I ordered the nacho supreme and it's amazing. I added some hot sauce to punch it up a notch, but really, they're tasty without hot sauce too! The supreme includes the ultimate "meat" which is always the right choice. The nachos get soggy under all of the tasty toppings, but that's what happens, and it's not a huge drawback. The portion size is worth it, and this could easily be shared. I can't wait to come back and try the pad Thai burger. That sounds amazing. Full disclosure, I also ordered the potato salad but that's for work lunch tomorrow. I'll update once I try it.

Yelp
it's official -- my (likely) last review as an Elite Yelper after 10 years. hey, i had a good run, and i had a lot of great food. anywho... the last few years has seen restaurants all over shuttering. yet, somehow, unburger's remained open (and actually saw a recent remodel), and more surprising, i had never tried their food... until today. i ordered the unoriginal (added bacon), nashville hot, and chili cheese fries. with tip, i wound up spending $51 on a binge takeout meal for myself. so, is unburger cheap? from the surface, no. but shit, in 2023... what is? i ate the nashville hot first. i had seen some people claim that they thought the "chicken" was mushy, but i didn't get that at all. this very much had the texture of a chicken sandwich as far as i remember them. the real highlight of the sandwich was the freshly fried crispy breading though. the hot sauce itself just wasn't very spicy to me, and neither were the pickles. i was also hoping the pickles would be a little sweet and spicy to cut some of that saltiness. all-in-all pretty tasty, but a bit one note. the unoriginal is rightfully unburger's best-selling burger. it's very much a big mac knock off in ideation, but i found it tasted more like burger king's version of one, largely because their housemade burger patties have BK's sort of flavor ... they're delicious. the burger is also massive compared to the chicken sandwich. the bacon i added didn't add a whole lot of flavor other than a mild smokiness. it reminds me of lightlife's bacon with a bit more oomph. like the nashville, i found this ... a little on the salty side. i was surprised (well, disappointed) that the mac sauce seemed completely lacking of sweetness for some reason. the chili cheese fries were an obvious add to my order for $9. i considered nacho fries, but i was confused as to why they were $14. the portion was great, with the fries nice and crispy. oh hell yeah. the cheese sauce here is really top-tier -- probably the best i've had from a restaurant. the chili is tasty too, and in the best way possible, it reminded me of the slurry that comes out of the machine at 7-11. basically... get it. i very nearly gave five stars, but everything had the same issue: salt. like i get that it's gourmet fast food, but the salt levels were a tick too high. that with the fact there's no accenting sweetness in the mac sauce and the nashville hot was nashville mild is why i'm figuring a 4/5. with that said, i wouldn't hesitate to say unburger is easily one of the best vegan restaurants in michigan.

Yelp
The loaded bbq chicken fries were great and, being a vegetarian of 7years now, I loved the faux chicken. I can't wait to try the sandwiches (Nashville chkn) and other items on the menu. My meal got better with every bite! I called in my order so I could pay cash on pickup & everything went smoothly. I'll definitely be back and am mad at myself for taking so long to try this place new fav vegetarian spot

Yelp
We came here trying to find a quick bite and the food was pretty good. The burger was flavorful but extremely messy. My favorite was the kombucha though.

Yelp
The food was everything I was hoping for and better. I most definitely will be back. The hippie hash was great as was the garlic mushroom burger. The staff was friendly and it was quick. If you are wanting to transition to a vegan lifestyle this is a great place to add to your list.

Yelp
This is my first visit since the renovation and revamped menu! Man this week Place is absolutely immaculate! The service is fast and friendly! The food is STILL incredible!

Yelp
Went to Unburger before my flight. I picked this one over another restaurant a few doors down that ha vegan options. I really come here for the vegan milkshakes! Too bad when I was there- I was told they no longer make them Any who I got the bbq burger , cheese fries, and a brownie. You can choose between 3 burger Patties: chickpea, black bean, or in-house "meat". I picked the house made meat. It taste like beyond meat and something else. I don't like the taste/smell of beyond meat, so I was not a fan of the patty. Everything else on the burger was amazing- the sauce, fries onions, and the bun The fries were very good & not enough - I wanted more! The cheese sauce was sooooooo good! The service was amazing and the space was clean. There's a ton of parking behind the restaurants and plenty of outdoor seating. Give it a try when you're in the area
google avatar

Yelp
Every city deserves an Unburger. Not only does its vegan food go toe for toe with its animal-based equivalents, but I would also argue many of the dishes available are hands down better than the meat or dairy versions you know and love. And beyond the flavors and prep, they do a great job in presenting the food in the familiar, almost cartoon-level way you expect fast-food to look, which makes it VERY easy to pass off to those unaware of your health-conscious intent. I HIGHLY recommend the chocolate & peanut butter tart/pie/dessert. Holy crap, it's incredible.
google avatar

Yelp
Really solid customer service and even better food! Need to come back and try all other menu items

Yelp
Love Unburger grill for vegans ! Does seem greasier than Unburger when Chris was there. Chris created for cancer diagnosis. This was lost now a days of less grease on food

Emily H.

Yelp
I would love to give more stars but the price point of this place is way out of the park for, let's be honest, a fast food place. The food did taste great. They no longer have the chicken tender meal, instead have chicken nuggets. But $9 for 8 nuggets is astronomical, especially since it was for my toddler. And then the side of fries is extra. Total cost for two burgers, one side fries, one order chicken nuggets, just under $50. And that was before any tip. Sorry, but at that high cost this is why there are so many people claiming eating vegan is too expensive. Either lower the prices or include fries with the burgers.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Amazing food and staff! Get the side chili and dump it on your fries if you get the combo. Soooo good. Nashville hot sandwich and Unoriginal burger were so good! Kids who are not vegan loved the chicken nuggets, burgers and Oreo shakes. Buffalo sauce is amazing on the fries. Very helpful staff I'm giving us recommendations.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely delicious vegan food. My favorite is the Nacho Supreme, but the burgers and fries are excellent as well. I crave this place regularly.
google avatar

Trinity S.

Yelp
we drove from kind of far to one here based on the fact that their menu had GLUTEN FREE labels and options available. we ordered two burgers and prompted for the gluten free bun. after ordering we went to the counter to just double check our burgers would be gluten free, not just the buns. the employee nodded his head and said yes those two will be gluten free yes. after getting our order I wanted to double check with the cook who gave us the order and she said " just the bun " and she would have to take off 3 of the things to make it gluten free. what kind of establishment labels their food gluten free when it's not and their employees have no idea apparently . I am glad I double checked otherwise I would have been sick for days. extremely unprofessional and sloppy on their part.

Cary H.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! We drove 30 mins to try Unburger and it DID NOT disappoint. I love that they make their own patties and serve Neu Kombucha (local business) on tap.

Yelp
Amazing food amazing service. Good location. Beautiful window view to eat food for lunch My favorite place to go for lunch

Amina J.

Yelp
OMG, you won't believe how scrumptious and fresh the food is at this place! The service is top-notch, and the prices are totally worth it. I'm already counting down the days until I can go back. I had the garlic mushroom burger, fries, and lavender lemonade kombucha , and let me tell you, it was beyond delicious!

Shawana S.

Yelp
Very friendly and the food is always delicious! I hope they stretch their DoorDash range to 20 miles one day
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious vegan burger. Can't even tell it's vegan. Their ranch is sublime. I need them to finish their renovations to get my fix! Pricey but worth it. Especially if you're going to pay the same amount elsewhere. Get a good quality burger from great staff. I'm always greeted and I really like the staff there!

Yelp
We have been meaning to try Unburger since they opened but we aren't nearby and somehow circumstances were never conducive. Alas. Alas for all the time wasted. Because we finally got there this weekend. And wow. This is easily one of Michigan's best vegan restaurants. We love a vegan restaurant that is less chia seeds and quinoa and more burgers and comfort food. We love a restaurant that serves food everybody wants to eat, but just so happens to be vegan. Because here's the thing - vegans will of course eat at a vegan restaurant, but omnivores won't unless the food is already food they like. This place hits right in that sweet spot, where we all can find something enticing and delicious. The menu has a good variety of items and flavors, but not so many items that the flavors suffer. The prices are all really reasonable, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. This place is located in downtown west Dearborn right on Michigan Avenue with parking right behind the building. And they have a little outdoor patio area outside the back door if you don't want to dine in. There is also online ordering through their website that works well. The restaurant itself was clean. We did not check out the restrooms, though. There were two entrances and I don't believe I saw any wheelchair impediments so the building should be accessible. Also the staff were friendly and the service was excellent. We tried a couple of burgers (different styles and patties) and some sides. Everything was delicious. The cheese sauce for the chili cheese fries was amazing. The burgers were superb. Even the regular fries were exceptional - ideal texture, spiced really well. We fully intend on visiting again for some outdoor dining while the weather holds.

Yelp
I hate to say it but the quality of the food has tremendously changed since the "Rebrand"... idk if it's the new employees or new food vendors. But as a vegan whose been coming here for 4+ years I'm not happy. And they took my fav sausage off the menu. What a bummer. I hope they get it together soon.

Indigo B.

Yelp
My family is vegan and we have been coming to Unburger for a few years now. In the past it was a 5-star slam dunk and we actually got dinner from there 1-2x a week. With the new menu combined with the prices, it's down to 3 stars. Things I still like about Unburger: fries are still the best ever, they now have nondairy softserve ice cream, and it's the only 100% vegan restaurant in the neighborhood so I feel obligated to support them. Things I do not like: Prices have increased DRAMATICALLY--nearly doubled. As recently as March, burger prices ranged from $8-16 depending on complexity/patty choice, they came with a side of chips and you could upgrade to fries for $1 extra. But now, burgers start at $13 and don't come with anything - you can add a very small side of fries ("handful" on the menu) for another $4. So if you want their most basic burger (no cheese and no toppings except ketchup and mustard basically) and fries, it's $17 minimum. The burger size is comparable to McDonalds now also whereas they used to be large steakhouse style burgers (which I would be fine paying more for honestly--but these new ones are just not enough food to justify the price tag in my opinion). Side sauces for dipping fries (etc) are also a whopping $1.50 for about 2 tbsp. Like, even a side of mayo to put on your burger. They also seem to have changed their ranch recipe... it used to be the best and now it's gross. They also no longer have avocado on their menu in any capacity. thus, no guac with the nachos, nor can it be added to burgers. I feel like during the whole "we are closed for renovations!" thing, the owner actually sold the restaurant, or had some outside investors who forced through all these changes. If something HAD to give in order for the restaurant to stay open, fine, I get it--that's why I will continue to get food here occasionally, to support Chef Chris. If the prices had increased but the menu remained the same, honestly I probably would still give it 5 stars, because I get that the cost of living is rising dramatically and I want the employees to earn a fair wage as well... But the new food is just not worth the new price in my opinion.

Haneef M.

Yelp
Title: Disappointing Experience at Unburger I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at Unburger was so disheartening that I felt I needed to share. After hearing some buzz about this place, I decided to give it a try. I support the idea of vegan options, but what I don't support is poor customer service. I ordered my meal with specific preferences, but when I received my order, it was incorrect. Mistakes happen, but it's the response to those mistakes that matter. Instead of an apology or a quick fix, the cashier just shrugged and said, "Well, I repeated the order back to you." That's not a solution, that's deflecting responsibility. There was no effort made to rectify the situation. I had expected so much more from a place that's supposed to be forward-thinking. Unfortunately, I left with a wrong order, no resolution, and a bad taste in my mouth that had nothing to do with the food. A disappointing venture that I won't be eager to repeat.

Yelp
Unbelievably great food. In the top five best burgers I've ever had, probably even top three. Extensive menu where everything is so good makes it easy to find something you want. The atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is so friendly and accommodating! The ONLY downside is that it's quite pricey. Everything is pricey these days, but this is even beyond the normal inflation craze. Honestly, it's so good and was such a positive experience I'm not even upset by it. We just won't be able to go very often du to the price. We will be back though as often as our wallets will allow. :)
google avatar

Sidney S.

Yelp
Awesome spot for vegetarians and meat eaters alike! Staff was kind and very helpful when deciding on what to get off the extensive menu. I have been a vegetarian for a long time and this is one of the best veggie burgers I've ever had. All of the sides we tried were wonderful as well the outdoor seating was great, and our order came out very fast.

Yelp
This is my first visit since the renovation. Loving the updated look and the food remains absolutely delicious. The staff is super friendly and the food is served quickly and is presented well. Definitely worth a stop!
google avatar

Emily G.

Yelp
While the owner is nice and is obviously passionate about his restaurant, the food is not worth the price. I got the nachos- the chips were way too salty and a lot of them weren't covered in the toppings. The chili was good though.

Laurel N.

Yelp
Super polite staff. Clean. My nachos were a bit soggy on top but when I found crispy ones toward the bottom I was happier with my meal. Hubby got bbq bacon Unburger and felt it was pretty good. If you're reading this you should try it.

Nazmiye Y.

Yelp
Incredibly kind owner, great staff, and amazing food. Their fries are very popular in my family.

Yelp
OMG! I'm not a vegetarian but I do like a good black bean burger and Unburgers is outstanding! I loved the sautéed mushrooms and onions, the grilled bun and the fries were delish. I will definitely be back to try one of their "chicken" sandwiches. If you have room you owe it to yourself to try the brownie - it was decadent.
google avatar

Adrienne A.

Yelp
Although I'm not a vegan, I love the concept of Unburger Grill, and particularly appreciate that it brings a welcome option for local vegans and variety to the Dearborn restaurant scene. For my inaugural visit, I tried the bbq jackfruit sandwich and a side of fries. The bbq jackfruit sandwich was huge and the bun was quality. I think it could have used more flavor and texture - maybe some onion strings, "cheese," and more or spicier bbq sauce. It was a decent sandwich on its own but I've had a tastier version before elsewhere, so this is just a recommendation to the restaurant to kick it up a notch. The fries were outstanding, plentiful, and crispy and with the skin - a real bargain for only $1 additional. Sadly, I was busy and hungry on the day I picked this up and forgot to take photos.

Yelp
A great vegan find! We were a tad disappointed that the breakfast we saw on Instagram wasn't on the menu, but once we got our food we didn't care. Delicious! The fish had great texture and the batter was delicious. The Caribbean patty was really flavorful, too!
google avatar

Ashley G.

Yelp
My cousin picked this place for her birthday and we tried it today! So delicious! From both a vegetarian and meat eater we give this place 5 stars.

Ellen B.

Yelp
If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I fly into Detroit to visit family in Toledo a couple times a year. I stopped here on whim last time I was in town because I was craving a vegan burger. It was a little out of the way but Oh. My. God. Is it worth it. I've eaten many vegan burgers in my life and none come close to this. I literally looked forward to coming here for months until I was in town again and planned my day around coming to get this burger. The patties are obviously made from scratch. You can actually taste the veggies inside and they are packed full with beans. Everything is perfectly seasoned and there's a perfect amount of cheese and toppings. Even the buns are delicious. I also met the owner and he is the nicest person who seems to genuinely love what he does. Pay them a visit please!!!

Kelly P.

Yelp
Awesome to have a vegan restaurant in Dearborn! I went yesterday and had the mac style burger and slaw. The burger was tasty and huge! The slaw was more like guacamole with some cabbage thrown on - tasty, but not what I was expecting. I think it'd be better as a burger topping than as a side dish. There's a wonderful, huge space out back to eat.

Nick S.

Yelp
Food was amazing and service was great! The ambiance was very neutral, I guess as expected for this type of joint

The perfect place for indulgent vegetarian meals that won't leave you feeling horrible after eating them! As a mostly pescatarian, I am so stoked about this place!! Pros: lots of variety, great customizability, friendly employees that answered many questions for me, fantastic taste, nice location right on Michigan Ave., a very cute outdoor seating area behind the restaurant Cons: no cons! :) The vegan cheese on my fries were phenomenal!! I can't wait to be back!

Yelp
Gee, is this an unburger like 7-Up was the uncola? On our way to the Henry Ford, I saw this spot and made a mental note to look it up on Yelp. Buoyed by the positive reviews, Jamie W. and I decided to stop for lunch on our way to Henry and Clara Ford's manse, Fair Lane. It was a two-Ford day, and we were initially worried about patronizing a fast food joint. But the difference is that the menu is purely vegan (photo: http://bit.ly/32PjCLN). Now would it be a healthier version of a Shake Shack? Well, our aspirations were not so gloriously gluttonous, and it sure wasn't as greasy. We just dove right into the menu. Jamie decided to go for the $6.50 Bun Free Basic Style with a Spicy Chickpea Zucchini Patty and added a vegan mac n' cheese on the side (photo: http://bit.ly/33QKcFp). Mine was also bun-free, the $7.75 Mushroom Swiss Style with the Black Bean Portobello Patty (photo: http://bit.ly/2qX1Gle). Seriously delicious and probably among the better vegan burgers I've had, I mean vegan unburgers. FOOD - 4 stars...vegan burgers that actually satisfy AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...just like any other fast food spot but much cleaner without the smell of grease SERVICE - 3.5 stars...courteous enough TOTAL - 4 stars...not untasty RELATED - Exploring Detroit? Yelp
I love vegan spots! You get to see real creativity and skill as chefs create familiar dishes without animal products. The burger was amazing! The cheesecake only fair mainly because it was super salty. The cheese was perfect! We also loved the fries! Nice owner/manager. I wish him the best and hope he eventually has a chain across America!

Yelp
First time visiting from the moment we walked in staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining some menu items. We ordered a mushroom garlic burger, fries, nachos everything was really good even my picky eaters enjoyed. Will definitely visit again.

Yelp
So many great vegan sandwich options! All of the house made veggie burger patties are delicious! Don't skip it just because you're not vegan, everything tastes wonderful!
