Whenever I visit Ocean City I always have to eat at Uncle Bill’s. Great restaurant for a hearty breakfast. The servers and hosts are always very friendly and welcoming. They really know their breakfasts and don’t overcook their omelets like most diners do. The pancakes are fluffy and light and the atmosphere is bright and cheerful. I recommend Uncle Bill’s

This was an enjoyable breakfast spot with lots of options! Personally I got the stuffed French toast and it was good especially with the cinnamon butter. It was a lot though and the choice of bread was not my favorite with the whole wheat taste. I got a side of home fries which were really good. Someone in my group got the loaded home fries which was packed with flavor and amazing even to share. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The corned beef was salty and tasted almost raw. Our server was friendly and service was quick. I don’t usually enjoy hot brewed coffee but this was good! I loved the feel of the restaurant and the coffee mugs were very cute. I would recommend if you’re in the OC area. There is parking (not many spots), although there is street parking.

The Mrs. and I decided to take a drive down to Ocean City to give Uncle Bill's Pancake House a try, and we were not disappointed. The service was prompt and our food was served quickly. We ordered the cream chipped beef over home fries which was the best I've ever had. We split the stuffed french toast and that was very yummy. Definitely recommend to stop in for breakfast or lunch.

Uncle Bills is one of those traditions everyone should try. From Ocean City New Jersey to Cape May you can find an Uncle Bills. No matter which location you choose you can rest assured that you will get friendly service, fluffy buttermilk pancakes, expertly cooked sides and fresh coffee. I am not privy to their pancake recipe but they obviously have it down pat. My blueberry stack was light, fluffy and evenly studded with fresh blueberries. They take great care and obviously pride in the food they serve which is why during the summer season there is always a wait for seating. I showed up in November early in the AM to avoid the rush but as I was leaving the crowds started to arrive. If you trust my reviews you will give them a try next time you want an awesome start to your day. My thanks to the ladies at the front desk for the food pictures. I was so intent on digging into my food I forgot to take pictures of it. The kind woman I spoke to was nice enough to go into the kitchen and take a couple for me. Try them once and you'll want to add them to your summer dining memories.

We were not super excited about this place. It was good but we have had better. Yes, it's a pancake house, but no, we didn't order pancakes. We ordered the scrambled eggs with home fries, bacon, and white toast. Our food was delivered by the time we both returned from the bathroom one at a time. This tells me the food is pre-cooked, and that explains why the eggs were not so hot or cooked well done like I asked. The potatoes looked good but again was not hot. The bacon was good. Parking was terrible but what do you expect when you go to the beach.

Pancakes looked great!!! BUT My Western Omelette was absolutely terrible. They made a shiny flat crepe surface out of all egg, put super finely chopped green peppers and ham in the middle of it and rolled it up like a crepe and called it a Western Omelette. It did not look appetizing at all, served with square flat potato hash. No cheese to be found in this dish. I had to ask if I got what I ordered and was told if I wanted cheese I would have had to ordered that separately. It did not feel like I ate food, but more like a plastic wrap with some filling spilling out.

The staff here are wonderful and the food was good however the pricing is kinda nuts. $4 for a 16oz apple juice? $3+ for an 8oz milk? They pretty much take advantage of the consumer because who will sit down and not order a beverage with their breakfast.

Uncle Bill’s is always a must when you’re in OCNJ! I’ve been dining here since I was a little girl, and the food never disappoints. I love the pumpkin pancakes, or the dollar pancakes. Their customer service is always wonderful, and the wait is always worth it. Trust me!

Take out was piping hot, friendly service and quality food! Would 100% recommend. Yelp wants me to write more so here is more.

The new system of sitting people is amazing. You see someone outside, they take your name, and provide you with an estimated wait time. Then they call you and you use the two side doors to enter. The old entrance is now the exit. Someone greets you and shows you the table. What an amazing seating system. No more confusion, no more crowding around. Great job! I just wanted to update the new seating system. Food, coffee, and service was great as always.

This classic brunch spot was one of the only spots open on New Year's Day! There was a 20 minute wait but we got seated before that. They are very professional with taking names down. I got some eggs, potatoes and rye toast. It hit the spot and fulfilled my hunger. Some reviews mention it is crowded and the booths are small. I would agree, as someone who is a bit on the taller side, but I think without winter coats, it works! I think the place is just trying to optimize real estate.

15m wait time to get in, food took a while but eventually came and was ok, Service was nice and didn't talk too much, and the area I sat in was very charming. Was very crowded at the time, a little pricey for 5 people, but would come again next year.

Good food and fast service. We have been to Uncle Bill's a few times and each time we have left happy. There are breakfast and lunch options with a few daily specials thrown in. The blueberry pancakes are a personal favorite and the serving size is huge. Additionally they have many egg options and sandwiches. The staff is friendly and happy to offer suggestions. Things to note: -credit cards accepted (pay at counter) -open for breakfast and lunch -during the summer time expect long lines -free Wi-Fi

I lowered from 4 stars because I was being generous at first. Then the owner chastised me for "disrespecting" his waitress, who laughed about flies on our table. Returned in 2024 and was very unimpressed. No longer a "must visit".

I have been indulging in Uncle Bill's for a good 30 years! I absolutely love their food - the pancakes are exceptional, and the service is always wonderful. Lastly, the restaurant is always clean - even the bathrooms! I'm updating my review today because of pricing. For two people, our bill was $48 and change. That is way too high in my opinion (we skipped lunch to offset ~ we were too full anyway!). I got pumpkin (yay - year-round item!) pancakes with a side (1) scrambled egg. Joey got some special breakfast combo and a grilled cheese (he's a big dude!). We got two coffees (they were just okay), and an apple juice too. When I saw the bill and saw that those three beverages were $10.50, I wanted to spit! Wawa coffees each for a bigger size (I usually do the 20 oz) are only a touch over $2. A glass of apple juice . . . I've no clue - maybe $2? Nice markup for Bill's! Lesson learned - don't order rip off meh coffee or juices (unless you share). I will not fall for that again! Still and all - I absolutely love Uncle Bill's!

Amazing experience! Restaurant has a diner/homey feel and offers a lot of seating. The staff is super friendly, our server Melissa was fantastic! So sweet! Service was fast and food delicious. Buttermilk pancakes sooo delicious, scrambled eggs perfectly cooked and fluffy, bacon perfectly crisp yet not over cooked! I had the dollar delight, husband had scrambled egg whites, Turkey sausage and toast which he really enjoyed.

Overall rating: 3.5-4.0 stars out of 5 stars ! Lowered due somewhat cramped space sitting in the booth for tall people vice the open table seating. Seven(7) locations down the south New Jersey shore. Visit Day/Time: 8:00 am on a Sunday 11/05/2023. First time visit. Wait for table time: No waiting. Open all year from 7am to 2 pm. Ambience: Designed for families. Clean, bright and open area. Separate side room for overflow(s). Menu Selections: Basically ALL breakfast items, something for everyone. Prices: Somewhat pricey for just breakfast. Refer to menu below for details. Almost ANY South Jersey Diner would have a better price, but not the selection available here. Food ordered and served: Pancakes and waffles. Well presented and great taste. Overall excellent food. But a bit cheap on the butter. Service: Efficient. Friendly. Best bets: Boardwalk Special $13.25 Issues: "I WANNA SEE STEAM".....the same issue as with MOST ALL breakfast restaurants, the food is NEVER hot when it gets to your table (i.e. the butter does not melt much). Parking is somewhat limited. Street parking available. Avoids: Any weekend day after 8:30 am between Memorial Day and Labor Day when kids are out of school, otherwise expect a lengthy wait outside and therefore avoid rainy mornings. NOTE: Just far too many "SHOOBIE'S" (a.k.a. Tourists) invade the Jersey Shore and cause wide spread overcrowding and long waits for anything. Would we go back? Yes Reason(s) to go there: This place is an family INSTITUTION(S) down the Jersey shore for many, many years.

Oh WOW That Stuffed French Toast is ridic! The Kelly's Favorite is also awesome....great Hollandaise Everything we had was great......from the Potatoes and Toast to the Eggs and Omelets. It was all buttered and crisp and fluffy and hot and creamy and smooth! Lots of staff running around and everyone was great

does Uncle Bill's serve sea gull eggs?! I ordered eggs over this morning and I couldn't believe how small they were. Can chickens really lay eggs that small?? I doubt it!! Therefore since we're at the Jersey shore I can only conclude Uncle Bill serves sea gull eggs. ps. they were very tasty

Visiting off season is risky since my usual breakfast spot is closed on a Tuesday. So here we are, forced to make difficult breakfast choices. First impression: bright and cheerful dining areas and very friendly staff. I can see how it can get quite noisy when it is with so many tables. Food was delicious and was well portioned for the price. I'm happy to return again.

Always tasty.. Sometimes I add more spice. Pizza is a solid. Sandwiches are always delicious.. not a big fan of the desserts but I'm told they are decent.

Uncle Bill's is great not only for the quality and quantity of the food but for the speed of the service and its consistency. Busy season, off season, you always get fantastic breakfast fair with pleasant service. The only down side is that i am not the only one who appreciates this restaurant and you will see a decent line come summer weekends. It moves but if waiting is not your thing, you best come early on a weekday. Saw some negative comments about prices. relative to other breakfast venues, UB remains extremely reasonable though i appreciate prices have gone up everywhere. Very grateful to enjoy breakfast here a few times each year with family and friends

Uncle Bills is the best breakfast in Ocean City. Everything was delicious. I love the family run vibes.

Stuffed French toast that's the review. Do it. You won't regret it. Absolutely love coming to the shore and having the stuffed French toast as a treat with coffee. It's absolutely perfect not too sweet and if you're still worried be sure to share with someone but trust me it's always a great order Love the staff always sweet and considerate. Ambiance is a basic diner and they have adorable merch for sale.

This is the only place to get pancakes-there's nothing else out there like Uncle Bills!

Hubby and I stopped in this morning after staying a night in OC NJ. Great, clean and cute restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive. I ordered the cheese omelette w/ bacon, potatoes and toast as well as an order of 6 silver dollars. Everything was delicious and the portions were enough for 2 people. My husband ordered the scrapple, eggs and pancake meal. The scrapple was hard on the outside (like he ordered) and the pancakes are big. I would recommend stopping in as it is a great experience with tasty food. The restaurant is also family friendly and reasonably priced.

Food - total disaster, even for a diner. You're better off stopping at your local mc Donald's than coming to this place. Service- wasn't bad but quite slow. Also, not very helpful with recommendations.

I have been coming to OC for 31 years and have always seen but never stood in the lines at Uncle Bills Pancake House...UNTIL TODAY! On a weekday in May, there was no line so we decided to see what this place was all about! When we entered, I noticed that there is an obvious attention to cleanliness. You have no idea how important that is to me! We were able to get seated right away and the service was wonderful. In looking through the menu, I had a HARD time deciding what to order. I thought I would do the right thing and just ordered oatmeal. That was just dumb! Don't get me wrong, the oatmeal is top tasting however, watching the pancakes walk by to other tables, I just had to supplement my oatmeal and bacon with the #9 Apple Pancakes! I couldn't get the warm apples folded into 3 pancakes, topped with butter and sprinkled with cinnamon off of my mind! So much food, such good food but every calorie was worth every bite! I did take half of the pancakes home to snack on for lunch! So, so, so good!

Pretty much your classic brunch spot. Open until 2pm and very busy consistently. Menu pretty expansive for breakfast items I thought. Pleased to see Habbersett Scrapple on the menu The prices were a little high for the serving size but the service was good. Like I said, pretty run-of-the-mill place for beach breakfast. A few benches outside for sitting and waiting as well. Blueberry Waffle: 4/5 I liked the waffle, wish it was a little bigger or there were two of them because it's pretty thin but cooked well Side of grapefruit: $4 for a side of grapefruit slices but unfortunately my grapefruit was not very good which was a bummer. "French Pancakes": 3/5 They were good, but there was an overwhelming egg flavor that is not typical of crêpes that was unexpected. Strawberry preserves were average.

I ate a late breakfast at Uncle Bill's a couple days ago. I had an egg sandwich with bacon as my meat of choice. It was good. Maybe next time I will try the pancakes.

We went late so the home fries, under the delicious chip beef were not fresh. Everyone else loved their breakfast. Such a consistently good breakfast joint. The place is clean and the service is great. We love it here!

A family tradition for us to stop by at Uncle Bills to kick off our Shore trip. Delicious pancakes that I cannot replicate at home! Love the family atmosphere too.

Four years since my review and Uncle Bill's is still crushing it! A "don't miss" breakfast stop in Ocean City.

I have been going here for 15+ years and they have had consistent food EVERY time. Tremendous service, the kindest employees, and even better delicious food. The #1 is my go to and classic. I can never stray away from the original pancakes because you know exactly what you're getting and how good it is going to be. Maybe one day i'll mix up my oder !

Blueberry pancakes I had here over the summer were best ever!!! Scrambled eggs and sausage it came with really good also! Waitress very good esp considering every table was occupied. Great atmosphere, really like this place

Was looking forward to having breakfast here. But it did not live up to the hype that I heard about. I got french toast with cinnamon apples on top. The apples were less then warm and not taste and far too much over with the small pieces of French toast. The home fries were very good though. The Friendly and very helpful staff makes up for the bland food

It was fine. The hype exceeded reality. Nothing special. Service was slower than most places.

Updated 8/20 My family and I visited Uncle Bill's again and my origjnal reivew remains the same! My son was obsessed with the chocolate pancakes and the rest of our breakfast was awesome just like last year! Even though we could have easily chosen another venue for breakfast we decided that Uncle Bill's will be part of our annual Cape May getaway going forward! I also wanted to mention our hostess, Shea, who went out of her way to make sure our table was taken care of like we were VIPs. See you next year!!

Had breakfast here with my brother on our recent vacation and it was one of the best meals of the week! Our server was amazing and did not steer us wrong with her recommendations. Based on her suggestions, I ordered the Farmer's Omelette. It was PERFECTLY cooked - light and fluffy layers of egg, and the perfect amount of filling. The toast was perfectly buttered to the corners (it's the little things!) and the home fries were hot and delicious. My brother opted for the stuffed french toast (again, based on our lovely server's recommendation), and it did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked and delicious with a smear of cinnamon butter. We split a short stack of blueberry pancakes which were truly the best I have ever had. They were light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweet ripe blueberries. My brother made a second trip for breakfast with a few other members of our party who also had a delightful experience. I would not miss Uncle Bill's for breakfast the next time I'm in town!

We take a bi-annual family vaca and ALWAYS have breakfast at Uncle Bill's Pancake House! This year was no exception ... our crew was 14 with little ones as young as 3 and as old as 70. The service, as always, was outstanding; the food was delicious; and the prices were good. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Pancake House for a group of any size, but especially for our large extended family!

Finally made it back to Uncle Bill's. Post season and rainy out but still worth it. Had never been to the Ocean City location and it did not disappoint. Cute little space that was bright and beachy. I got their potato pancakes and my sister had an omelette. So much yum. Potato pancakes were big, nicely onion seasoned, and not very greasy. Bacon was the side and done right. Can't wait to go back.... when it gets a little warmer.

This place is slower than thick molasses. The wife and I went here for lunch and we got seated quickly, but then it became real slow after that. It took about 10 minutes for a waitress to acknowledge us, and another 15 to get our drinks we ordered. After we ordered, it took over 20 minutes. They supposedly didn't put any corn muffins in the oven for my wife's entree, so we had to wait because of their screw up. Eventually we got our food after waiting a fortnight. The banana bread french toast was delicious at least. Shame this place takes forever. I might 2nd guess going back here.

We were a party of six and were so happy to see they were able to accommodate us and still be able to have us socially distant from other patrons. Their dining room was perfectly spaced to accompany large and small groups and signage made everyone aware of their mask policy. Covid Safety -Check Their food and service was OUTSTANDING!! Our orders ranged from seasonal pancake specials to typical omelets and each one of our entrees was amazing!

This place is a classic. Super bright and clean, the staff is very polite and the food is fresh and delicious. Like everything now it's not cheap but if you're going to breakfast you'll like it here. Will be very busy in the summer so plan appropriately.

Family of 5 for breakfast with coffee and fresh squeezed juice. $120 with tip. A bit pricey for breakfast but you have to go to Uncle Bills for breakfast when you're in OCNJ. Quick service very family friendly. Kids love the take-home kids cups

Not sure what all of the hype is. Food was "ok". Waffles were flat and floppy. Tasted like run of the mill waffles. They were still connected together from the press. Eggs were a little over cooked. I asked for dippy, no shaky whites. I had very little dippy. Pork roll was very salty. I do not think it was Taylor brand. Dollar pancakes were run of the mill pancakes. $45 (not including tip) for 3 people to eat run of the mill food!!! Guess I am not in Pennsylvania anymore. Uncle Bill must be a rich dude sitting and overlooking his empire of pancake houses. Will not be back.. there are much better places that charge less. I would have rather went back to Augie's omelet place. Food is 10xs better... cost more, but better food.
