"South Austin brewery and restaurant Uncle Billy’s is now closed on 1530 Barton Springs Road. Uncle Billy’s is moving to an undisclosed address in Dripping Springs, with a projected opening date sometime in early 2020. The Dripping Springs location will feature its production line of distilled spirits and canned cocktails, along with a tasting room serving Uncle Billy’s barbecue. However, it has no plans to brew beers in the new facility." - Nadia Chaudhury

"Barton Springs spot Uncle Billy’s Brewery is adding spirits to its lineup. The goal is to eventually become a brewery and distillery and make its own spirits that would be distilled from a local distillery yet to be named, but barreled and aged at the brewery. To help fund that, Uncle launched a crowdfunding campaign through MicroVentures, seeking to raise $1,000,000. Until it can do that, it has serving booze that it has been processing and adding flavors to already-distilled spirits. Uncle is working with a bourbon whiskey and vodka that are being used for cocktails." - Nadia Chaudhury

Only stopped here to have a beer and some snacks, but ended up finding a very relaxed place to hang out. The selection of sides is quite nice. The beer selection is small, but there are some great beers. The best part of this restuarant is the seating area and atmosphere. The indoor seating is cozy, and the outdoor seating is very inviting. This is a solid place to visit if you're walking to zilker or just in the general area.

Beer, good. Food, ok. We got a variety of meats, but the only good one was the turkey breast. Maybe we came at the off time for the brisket and pulled pork, but both were dry. But we still give them a 4-star because the beers are solid and the wait staff were awesome. Friendly, accommodating and customer focused business.

It's a laid back place, nice atmosphere, dog friendly. Extremely slow service, don't come here if you're in a hurry.. Good beer. Kind of overpriced, but that's Austin. Free parking. Spicy BBQ wings aren't spicy at all. My (very very small) Ceasar salad had more heat than both the wings and the Bloody Mary. It's fine, we'll probably be back.

This is one of my favorite go-to spots in Austin. Always a great experience. The food is amazing and comes out super fast. The drinks are outstanding. Theres nothing to not love about this Austin staple. Let Uncle Billies show you what it's like to have a real uncle.

We stopped in for a few drinks before lunch and had a good time. The Bloody Mary was very yummy, but small with no embellishments like others do. I can’t remember the name of my drink, but it has pineapple and a couple other liquors mixed in. I would like to try some of their beer flights the next time I come in.

I've been drinking their beer for a long time and I always love it! Their new seasonal stuff is also great - plus they're doing cocktails in a can and they're fantastic (especially lavender lemonade). They also have an awesome brunch (the sausage pancakes are my fave). I love coming here for BBQ too - the turkey and smoky beans are the best!!

Great place to listen to live music, drink great beer and eat delicious BBQ. One of the best set ups for enjoying music outside, even on a hot day. Smart design went into this place. AND they have great and included parking below the condos behind the place. So nice in this busy area. Staff were great. Stop in for some good times.

Good food, I tried the pulled pork with mac and cheese as a side. Enjoyed the sour gose beer. Was a bit disappointed with the dessert I ordered - peach cobbler - it was just peaches, juice and ice cream.
