Uncle Jack's Meat House

We were a group of seven and we were seated promptly. Our server, Shannon was excellent. I started with the biscuits and they were great. I also had the beet salad which I really enjoyed. My entree was the omelette and it was delicious. Some of the other entrees at our table were steak and eggs, corned beef hash, short ribs and a gigantic burger. Everyone was satisfied.

I found myself at Meat House on a Saturday night, very much looking forward to some food. It's a really nice place, everyone was friendly, and while we were seated right away (it was nearly empty), we waited way too long before anyone acknowledged us to take our order, and they were far from busy. That said, once ordered, everything did come very quickly. The food was good but not great, maybe a little overpriced. Maybe they just had an off night, I'd consider giving it a second chance.

This is an amazingly beautiful restaurant. It’s a very casual steak house offering many sandwich and burger options. I had a short rib sandwich special served with an onion ring inside and a jack’s steak sandwich. Both were very good. I though the short rib was a little better. Our appetizer was the in house smoked bacon which was very delicious.

We just there for for drinks and appetizers but ended up having a full meal the food and drinks from start to finish was fantastic!. Spoke with the Manager April Rose Lucas and gave her my compliments on the service and food. Eventually she came with the In House Hickory Smoked Bacon with Housemade Peanut Butter and a Chipotle Maple Glaze. It was Phenomenal! We had the Crab and Avocado Mini Tacos and Jack's Steak Sandwich. Both were excellent! BTW the Bacon was on the house. When visiting Uncle Jack's Meat House ask for the manager April, tell her we sent you and she will give something for you at your table.

An absolute MUST when in Astoria!!! Beautiful decor and great atmosphere. Such a unique place to dine. Service and staff- exceptional! The spare ribs and bacon were out of this world! Everything cooked to perfection. Make sure to check out the speakeasy downstairs! Such a cool vibe and the DJ was awesome. It tops off the whole experience!!! Can't wait to bring my family here! The place was simply spectacular. Could not have asked for more. The bacon with the syrup and peanut on the side was amazing. The mash potatoes was nice and buttery and smooth and tasted like cloud of brilliance. The lamb chops were so good I wanted to leave them on the plate after tasting the first one but I was not successful. The biscuits were butter soft and the maple butter made them heavenly. The french fries were mmmmmm mmmmmm good. The biscuit with the chicken was just magnificent. The staff was A one everyone was friendly and helpful to accomplish having a full belly full of amazingness. The drinks were amazing and helped with my digestion. The mock butcher shop in the middle of the restaurant reminded me where I was after every chew. I shall return. This is a MUST.....UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN

This was our first visit to Uncle Jack's Meat House and also happened to be the restaurant's first day offering brunch. While we planned to try this new spot anyway, the brand new brunch menu was a nice surprise! Our server Nicole was very personable and knowledgeable about the restaurant. We both had a delicious Bloody Mary that was perfectly spicy. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles served with bacon, fresh whipped cream, and warm maple syrup. I had my heart set on a burger and tried the Oooey Gooey Mooey Burger (bacon jam & blue cheese fondue) served with house made pickles and seasonal veggies and french fries. Delicious! We'll definitely be back to explore the lunch and dinner menus as well as to sample some of their many enticing cocktails. My only suggestion is to add the Chicken and Biscuit sandwich to the brunch menu. Update: Sloppy Jacks Sandwich & Chicken Biscuit Sandwich

This place is great. The service was amazing and the Manager is a great guy. Unfortunately, one of our 5 steaks wasn't cooked the way the person wanted but the wait staff and manager did right by us. Thank you again.
