Customer service sucks. We went there today we ordered 4 cones and and icy. I had to ask were these kid scoops because they were ridiculously small. She said no. At $4.50 this is highway robbery. One kid got icy and did not like the taste. Blue raspberry. It did not taste good. So I asked if we xan change it because she didn't like it. We were told no. We had to pay 4.50 .. this is insane. We did pay again but would not return.

My husband bought a no sugar chocolate ice from this location ( he is diabetic). The proprietor did not have enough to fill an entire cup so he charged my husband a reduced rate. The product should have been thrown away. It was chunky as it presented as having been refrozen and had almost no taste . ( we ended up throwing it out). I will never go back to that location.

Customer service was terribly rude for no reason, especially the old balding guy. Ruined the whole experience. Walked away without buying anything. Been coming here for years and thanks to this guy I'm never coming back. Sucks.

I've been buying their ice cream since 2005. This used to be an after-school spot for a treat, and today (20yrs later) I make it a point to grab my all time favorite strawberry cheesecake cone whenever I'm in the area. I haven't tried their ices, but ice creams are all great. Cappuccino chunk is another favorite! This is a Brooklyn staple - highly recommend. Cash only.

What can I say, Uncle Louie G is the best brand icee in Brooklyn and probably the only brand to compete against Ralph's (shout out to Staten Island/Shaolin). While they have multiple locations I frequent the one in Mill Basin. The couple that runs this particular store front is very nice and always gets you what you want quickly and efficiently. I like the majority of their flavors especially the ones they put whole pieces of fruit inside (e.g. FDNY Cherry has pieces of cherry in it.) Get it while it's still hot outside they close up shop by the 1st or 2nd week of November and come with Cash because they don't accept card.

Rude and unsanitary conditions: While I was standing on line, I noticed that the peoprieter put his hand in his mouth. Before he served me I asked him if he was going to put on gloves. He responded 'Am I a surgeon'. I explained that it was yucky that he put his hand in his mouth, and I walked away. But when I was halfway down the block, another customer told me that the proprieter agreed to put on gloves. So I returned and ordered Italian ices. While I was waiting for my order, the other server (who I assume was his wife) lashed out at me, telling me that they are not required to wear gloves and that I could go somewhere else if I want servers to wear gloves. But I decided not to leave since my server had agreed to be gloved. He wore just one glove on the hand that went onto his mouth. As a result, neither of my hands nor my mouth plan to return there anytime soon. The ice was refreshing on this hot day, but maybe not worth the angst.

Was in the mood for something cold and refreshing. Decided to try the Italian ices here and it hit the spot. I got the Tropical Rainbow (mixture of passionfruit, mango and cherry flavors) and it was so satisfying, sweet without being too artificial tasting. Husband enjoyed the Pina Colada flavor, which came packing with a ton of coconut flavor complete with coconut flakes. Great spot to visit when coming here to Marine Park for a stroll. Looking forward to returning here to try more flavors!

We were in Brooklyn to visit a friend and wanted something cool since it was finally a nice summer day without any rain. Of course we ran to yelp to find a spot near a park and we came across Uncle Louie G. It's not the Ralph's that we are used to getting but not gonna lie we enjoyed our ices very much. The boyfriend got a combo of watermelon and honeydew and I got the tropical rainbow (watermelon, passion fruit, and mango). Oh man that tropical rainbow is me in a cup with all those tropical island flavors that puts you on a beach. It was actually my first time trying Uncle Louie G and it makes me sad I've been missing out all this time. The best part is it was right by Marine Park so you can take a nice walk while enjoying your ice, although bug spray is highly recommended in that area lol. If we are ever in that area again we will be sure to return. Just a tip that it's cash only!

My rating is mainly based on the icey alone.... its so good. Im a coconut addict and those little pieces inside of it omg Its a walk up window on a busy street. I had to actually drive up on the side walk a little to not hold up traffic. This place is a million times better than that spot on utica and ave H.

Great selection of ices and ice cream conveniently located across from marine park. Grab and go with your ice cream at the walk up window. Gave them four stars because the older Russian woman is inpatient and does not have customer service skills. I bought ice cream for my niece and at first I was not going to get anything. After tasting her ice cream I decided to order something and she responded "first you said you didn't want anything and now you wanna order something" and she was not joking at all.. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING TO ME. I'd rather go elsewhere than deal with her attitude

Their passion fruit italian ice is everything. Came here after lunch and I got a large cup of passion fruit italian ice. It reminded me of the Aloha Maid guava fruit juice and brought me back to my trip to Hawaii. It was under $5 and the perfect, light dessert after a full meal. So refreshing, I'd definitely go back to try some of their other flavors.

Can I say delicious delectable and scrumptious!!! I had the Killer Kiwi, Mucho Mango and Passonfruit! The Killer Kiwi was definitely killer!! I enjoy every scoop of it! The server was very friendly and I will definitely be back! They have an array of flavors!

The iced spumoni was delicious and the girl serving had a sweet smile So refreshing coming from a walk around Marine Park on a hot day. After I left I realized I saw her sweet smile. Why wasn't she wearing a face mask while serving my iced during this Pandemic? Maybe that's why the restaurant was rated 'B'?

Not worth it. Used to get jelly ring ice had 1 small small tiny piece in it. Should not call it jelly ring ice. I told the guy he says I'll look into it lmaooooo

Now I am not a connoisseur of Ice Cream, but like everyone else it is a nice treat on a Hot Summer Night and Uncle Louie G's seems to have a nice niche in the market. This location in Brooklyn seem steady with business at 8:30 PM a couple of Sunday's ago. I ordered a "Chocolate Dream" on a sugar cone. While it was tasty. At $3 for one scoop seem a little steep. While the taste was not over sweet or to chocolaty, it hit the spot. It also hit my pocket, but I was living large. I guess they make their own Ice Cream since I saw multiple locations in NYC. After I ordered my cone, I notice that they make shakes. Maybe that is the way to go. I will make sure I bring my Black Amex next time. Overall, this is a good location with lots of flavors. If you enjoy variety Uncle Louie G's may be your cup of tea or Ice Cream. I'm just a chocolate kind of guy. Sorry.

If you're in the neighborhood, stop by. I went during my trip to NYC and they're the nicest folks ever. I noticed that some people thought the Italian ice was too sweet, but you can always try before you buy. The ice cream is delish. Charming.

I stopped in during a lovely bike-ride on a gorgeous summertime evening. I mixed the Pistachio & Coconut Italian Ice. With each bite, I was reminded of the deliciousness before me. Growing up outside of Philadelphia, I'm constantly in search of the perfect "water ice" (as we used to call it.) Uncle Louie G's came pretty close. Swing by sometime and check it out.

I love Uncle Louie G so much!!! They have the best Italian Ice anywhere and there's so many flavors!! This is one of my favorite summer hangs, definitely visit and get the punch card, 10 punches and the next one is free! Theres so many Italian ice and ice cream flavors that it's not hard to fill it up :) Ps. I think it's cash only so bring cash

Gross beware! This place is super dirty!! Ceiling tiles are dirty and falling out. The floor is atrocious and also super black like it's never been washed. The ices are so so it's like they bought them from a cheap distributor. We got bubbly bubble gum ice tonight and it had a old water taste with barely any bubble gum. We also got root beer and it also tasted old. I def feel like they are selling expired ices. Go to Dolly's on Ave T your better off!!

I was searching for some ice cream after a big meal nearby. Google Maps suggested this place and I was so happy I decided to come here! The shop is ran by two amazing women and the ice cream is delicious, I am definitely coming back here!

The best Italian ice I've ever had. Coconut was perfect with actual coconut slivers. The cantaloupe was a touch sweet for my taste. Went to the truck yesterday and the store front today. Both excellent.

I decided to try the rainbow Italian ice a couple days ago at the Hoyt St. location to see how it fared against Ralph's Famous Italian Ices. I was sadly dissapointed. The flavors tasted very artificial, especially the red section of the rainbow ice. It reminded almost of cough syrup, just kind of gross. The white and blue sections were okay but overall, I did not enjoy eating Louie's ice as much as I had Ralph's ice. I may try a few other flavors but I think I will stick to just ordering their ice cream. Louie, you loose a star today buddy.

Good stuff, awesome variety, nice staff. They've got a punchcard loyalty card too. Stick to peanut butter cookies and cream, and the strawberry. If you're lucky, some some strawberry scoops are heavy on the frozen strawberry scoops

The ices are good, you probably should, give them a try. The service is nice, but the yelpers are right, they made Ralph's go bye-bye.

When I saw Louis G's opening up on the same block as Ralph's I was kinda peeved. Why out of all the blocks you could choose, in all of Williamsburg, would you choose this one? I attempted to boycott in the beginning, but found myself there one day as per suggestion from a friend who lives in Park Slope. As I anticipated the ices were DELICIOUS! They taste very clean and healthy compared to Ralph's. So I have devised a system: If I want simple ices (coconut, chocolate) I will go to ULG, but if I want tasty, sugary concoctions then I will go to Ralph's. The service here is fantastic with an exception to the younger staff (college/teens). The owners/brothers etc.. are fantastic.Talkative, Fun and just all around lovely. Last night, however, I had a teenager/college kid who got overwhelmed, gave me ice cream instead of ices and then blamed it on me (telling me I called it by the wrong name - board was in front of me, so nope, right name). She also told me she gave me an extra dollar ("but whatever")... well good bc ices are $2 and ice cream is $3. Ices...amazing Service.... generally great

If you've been to one Uncle Louie G's, you've been to them all. Great selection, great ice-cream, and a little bit on the price side. What makes this one stick out, and gives it 5 stars, is the service. Everybody there is insanely nice. It seems like they are all family - mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, cousins etc. and they treat you like you're part of them. They will literally shove samples down your throat - but in a nice way - and make sure to try them because all of the flavors are amazing, and they easily blow away Ralphs or Baskin Robins.

I had the cherry flavor ice cream which had real cherries in it very good ice cream ,super delicious and well worth it

The only place I go summer days and nights for ice. I always get passion fruit and mango.. the best!!!! Honestly I would go here during winter but sadly their closed during the winter.

Man, I JUST figured out that this is "Louie G" like "Luigi." Why don't they just say so!? That's a horse of a different color. I'd MUCH rather buy ice cream from Luigi than Louie G, wouldn't you? I've had Birthday Cake, PB Cookie Dough, and Mint Chocolate Chip and Birthday Cake was not only BLUE, but also my favorite in general. And it was BLUE.

There ain't no places better for ice cream then Uncle Louie G's at Graham Ave . As a huge ice cream junky I've been to numerous creameries and ice cream places everywhere , but this place has always been the best. I've been coming here almost every night for 2 years now and not going to stop any time soon. If you are like me and want to have all the best things at once, get Soprano Spumoni (Creamolata, Pistachio and Chocolate with nuts). It's just THAT GOOD! Uncle Louie is open in winter too, serving hot soups and chocolate. Tip: don't forget to say "Hi" to Mike, the owner of the establishment. He is often around, having chats with locals.

Absolutely AMAZING SERVICE. I'm super picky about ice cream and pizza and probably everything. The first flavor with vanilla and snickers was awesome and I combined it with chocolate fudge brownie. To die for. Come here first for the amazing welcoming staff and FIRST for the amazing ice cream. If you're from the city like me - good service is rare in NJ but this place has it.

Uncle Louie G's is my favorite local ice cream place. It's a quick place to grab a treat. The price is reasonable and the waffle cones are delicious! The best thing is that they have the stamp card for when after you purchase 10 you can get 1 for free. Who doesn't like free?! I highly recommend if you're in the east Williamsburg area.

Lots of flavors, but super nice workers are friendly with their samples so don't be afraid to ask! I'm an all-around-chocolate-forever-ice cream lover, but Uncle Louie is the exception with thee best fruity italian ices. They allow two flavors in a small, so get wiiiiiiiiild Oh, and don't forget to start a punch card (punch 10 and get a free scoop), because you'll fill it up within a month or two. Cash only, of course

The mango italian ice was perfectly sweet and the cashier was sooo nice! Decent prices and perfect for a sunny day! I will be back for the ice cream flavors.

Ice cream here is very good. All different kinds of flavors. Very creamy. I think they are the only game in town for this part of williamsburg.

How can you not give 5 stars to this place?!...variety and quality put together = obvious success. There are so many different ices flavors. The cherry has real cherries inside, the cantaloupe flavors is just right to the dot. So many more flavors to try. The ices are smooth, not too sweet. Since I tried this ices, I do not want to eat the ones from the street vendors, the difference in taste is like night and day. You can ask for a free sample taste before choosing the flavor you want to eat.

The owner is really nice. My friend and I were craving ice cream and we didn't have any cash, just debit cards and he gave us the ice cream for free! Will be coming back again :-)

The Short: Great pick to satisfy your sweets craving! One of the best summer fixes on a hot day. The Long: I would like to write a short disclaimer: Every time I have been here has been after playing frisbee on hot days in Prospect Park...so that might slightly skew my review. I haven't had a ton of Louie G's flavors but what I have had was pretty damn good. The mango ice was flavorful and refreshing. The piña colada had bits of coconut in it but the root beer ice flavor was only sub par. I can't wait to try some of the other flavors here! Also I have to plug the service. They'll let you try all the flavors if you dare give it a shot. 4 stars for the ices. Can't comment much on the ice-cream but I really really want to (in fact, I think I might have to head there now).

Like other reviewers, I initially planned on boycotting this Uncle Louie location. Moving in so close to Ralph's just seemed particularly lame. At some point my curiosity got the best of me, however, and the game was over. The deal breakers were: 1. A huge selection of delish ice creams that you can't find at Ralph's (pumpkin pie, Brooklyn cheesecake, birthday cake, etc etc) 2. Cardboard ice cream cups (rather than styrofoam) 3. Free toppings. C'mon! And they don't skimp -- ask for hot fudge, and they put it on the bottom AND the top of the ice cream. 4. A generally higher quality water ice. The fruit flavors are more realistic, the non-fruits have more flavor to them, and the consistency is significantly smoother (no ice chunks) 5. Some of the nicest, sweetest (presumably) owners you'll ever meet. To wit: the last time I went over there, the man who I believe runs the shop stopped me on the sidewalk to give me a bag of fresh baked bagels that his friend had delivered that morning! Fresh bagels! They make the neighborhood feel like home. Believe me, I've thought a lot about this and don't take the decision lightly. At the end of the summer, I can confidently say it's Uncle Louie's, no contest.

Very cheap! The quality is okay but I love that there is so many flavors to choose from. Go with the Italian Ice.

The ice cream was pretty tasty. The watermelon italian ice kind of tasted like watermelon flavored bubble gum.

Peanut Butter Cheesecake!!! I just tried it a few days ago and I'm still thinking about it. I managed to try something besides the freaky-looking but very delicious Birthday Cake flavor that has actual chunks of cake in it - cake that tastes like you just sliced it to serve, somehow not cake that tastes mushy like it's been in ice cream all day (which it has). The Pumpkin Pie ice cream is awesome too. If anything, skip the Strawberry Cheesecake. But pretty much everything else is a win.

Small shack with great variety of flavors! Great location! I don't got much to say about this place other than the fact that they are very generous with the portions here. I came here one cold afternoon and the gentleman that was working in there sure hooked us up! It's similar to Ralph's. Reason I came here was because Ralph's already closed for winter break. They give you a card. Buy any 10, and get 1 free which is pretty awesome.

I would be bound by my human descriptive abilities if I even fathomed doing justice the flavor of the birthday cake ice cream. There are small chunks of cake in the ice cream! They aren't mushy, like you might think, but perfect little treasures. Try this ice cream. The older gentleman and presumed owner is as gregarious as it gets. They offer Italian ices and ice cream here. Ralph's is up the street (literally less than one block away) so you can take your pick. Being new to the area, I assume I need to swear my allegiance to Uncle Louie G's or Ralph's at some point, and so far it's looking as though the former will reign supreme, but it's still a bit early to tell.

two of the best ice creams ive ever had: pumpkin pie (with a bits of graham cracker crust) and peanut butter cookie dough-superb! have only had one of the italian ices, black raspberry, and that was pretty awesome, too!

Holi Canol! Never had this Italian ice flavor before. Soo good! An interesting selection. Wassup Watermelon was so refreshing....

i am so glad i live two blocks from louie g's unlimited samples and the best italian ices and ice cream ive had in ny or bk and i've heard that you only get three samples at ralph's.. so i'll stick with louie g's plus every time i'm there i feel like i'm in the middle of a mafia meeting or movie set and the same guys/girls are always working and are always friendly. and since my roommates and i go for ice cream like every night, they now know us pretty much by name lastly, getting a regular sized ice cream or italian ice is $2 and it's always the perfect amount for any time of day. uncle louie g's is fo realz

After a trip out to Roberta's in Bushwick, my friend and I decided to take a little digestive walk back to the Bedford L-stop. We were already full from dinner, but when we passed Uncle Louie G's on that humid Tuesday night, we both knew that we were stopping. Our justification: it's Italian Ice, so it's light and it just melts, right?!? The young woman working at the counter was amazing! She was super friendly and patient while waiting on our indecisive selves to make a decision as to which flavor(s) we were going to get. She even helped us narrow down our decisions by informing us that we could get two flavors in the small ice, so naturally, that's what we did. We followed the employee's recommendation and tried the Coconut Ice, the Vanilla Chip Dip Ice, the Cannoli Ice, and the Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Ice. My friend really liked the Cannoli Ice because it had actual cannoli chunks in it. I liked the peanut butter one the best, but they were all good. The woman at the counter didn't lead us wrong. There was a constant flow of customers as we sat and ate our Italian Ice, so I take that as a good sign. Overall, it was a great experience, and at only $2 for a small Ice, it's a bargain. I could definitely see this place being a mecca as the humidity becomes even more unbearable during the hot summer months.

Bad ice cream, artificial manufactured stuff. Also the first four flavors I wanted were "Saturday" flavors, this was a Sunday.
