The caramel cold brew latte was excellent with a balance of sweetness aroma and taste, with a very good price. I had an avocado toast, I believe is called the goat. It was very good. The young guy at the counter was friendly and courteous. The overall experience was enjoyable.

Google
Amazing Black owned business, delicious food and great service A big plus to their chicken sandwich as the green salsa they use is out of this world One concerned, way too much plastic and single use containers. I wanted to try their coffee but they only have to go cups. That is my only issue, this place is amazing. When I come back, I will be bringing my cup so I can try the coffee.

Google
Have made repeating visits to this cafe! Lots of people come for their breakfast/brunch dishes, but I love their coffee. Some of them are more adventurous featuring peanut butter, but my faves are surely their Salted Caramel and Vanilla ones. Kind reminder, their cup sizes are relatively big compared to typical coffee shops; hence I mostly go for their small. Unlike the cup size, the venue is quite small. Nonetheless, that actually doesn't really trouble me as much as the fact that sitting for awhile inside always leaves me with food/kitchen scent (IYKYK). Don't get me wrong, they do serve luscious breakfast and brunch menus, so if the scents don't bother you, ALL GOOD! This place is constantly busy throughout the day, but it's pretty outstanding that they always manage to get the orders ready speedy enough even including the foods.

Google
I had the pleasure of stopping into this awesome neighborhood cafe. When I entered the cafe I was greeted. The menu has breakfast and lunch options and separate menu for hot and cold drinks. They had fresh pastries available for purchase. This a cozy trendy cafe with great eats and drinks. They do accept NFC payments as well as debit card and credit card payments. I enjoyed my tea in an adorable pink and white cup. My breakfast bite supreme was delicious. I was served a proper portion of food and food for the price listed. There is outside setting with umbrellas for shade. This is a good place to work on your laptop. Looking for quick bite? They had it and ready for you in minutes. You can order ahead via their website. There is street parking at the meters. This is a wheelchair accessible cafe. Sit near the window and people watch or the high chairs. Fur babies are welcome outside.

Google
Went here today for lunch and coffee. Great staff. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We got coffees and food. I got the Tiger latte with coconut and chocolate. Was really very good. My wife got the Scarlett chai latte. Loved it. Spicy chicken wrap was great as well. Would definitely order it again. The music inside was a bit on the loud side, but overall really enjoyed this cafe and will be back

Google
New favorite cafe! Super friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and reasonably priced food and drinks. Got the break of day breakfast burrito and cinnamon toast crunch latte and both were delicious. Support your local Black-owned businesses!

Google
I went a couple of hours after they opened, and it was busy with a line outside the door and teeming with students and other customers. Didn't wait long to order or receive food. There was available seating outside, but not inside. I loved the items I ordered. My only gripe was that the shrimp and grits were the consistency of soup, but the flavor was there. Will return to try other menu items.

Google
Found this place on DoorDash for a quick lunch on Sunday. How much do we love it? We ordered three times in a week! Food is tastier than some of the fancy southern restaurants we have been to. I also love the store vibe and they have outdoor dining seats with sunbrella. Price was great and no surcharge on DD either! BTW, I believe they are known for their coffee and will try that next time when we dine there. Must-try: shrimp & grits, gumbo, & rich girl.

Yelp
A staple coffee shop that has great food and drink options. I got the bite supreme croissant and loved it, as well as the lucky charm latte (iced). Smaller coffee shop, with some seating inside and out. Usually pretty busy, but the service was fast. Nice place to get some work done and enjoy a bite.

Yelp
Always a wholesome time, I always leave with a food coma and the coffee is delicious. Everyone I've interacted with here has been a cool kiddo, amazing service.

Yelp
When you are at work and have not eaten breakfast, it can be difficult to have a strong start to the day. I needed something to provide that boost to help me start the day off strong. I ordered a Tiger Island Latte, which contained chocolate, coconut, chai, and espresso. I also ordered the Break of Day Burrito, which had scrambled eggs, bacon, soyrizo, hash browns, sharp cheddar, fresh jalapeños, and green onion served with a side of salsa. That first sip you take of something so refreshing and uplifting along with that first bite you take from a very hearty meal is truly amazing. I then took a few more sips and bites, and believe it or not, I was so ready for the day. I finished the beverage and left the rest of the burrito for later in the day, which was a smart decision since it gave me even more energy on the drive home. Every now and then, I order from here and am never disappointed.

Yelp
I stopped by here in the AM before work after ordering over the phone while on my way. The employees are honestly great, helpful and positive energy despite a busy crowd. My burrito was so hot, pretty big and very delicious. The seasonal veggies and the eggs blended well together and I'd def go back and get this. It was like under $10:) I order matcha latte and it was very disgusting. I do have a high standard for my matcha but that truly was not it. The barista offered to make me an iced Matcha Tea in hopes of a better taste but that was bad too. The matcha tasted like mornings was mixed with it tbh and i don't understand why. Overall, if you love matcha that is closer to authentic Japanese preparation rather than the more westernized version, order something else as I am sure it'll be a lot better considering they did have a crowd. Definitely try the burritos too
google avatar

Yelp
I had a vanilla latte. It was delicious. The time I went it was rush-hour for the school kids. It was crowded, but they were very friendly and apologetic so it made your wait seamless.

Yelp
This small cafe/breakfast spot is tucked among many businesses on Robertson Blvd, but it serves all-day breakfast and decent coffee to boot. It's also black-owned, which is evident through their enticing shrimp and grits and other Southern-style creations. I ordered ahead and went to pick up my food/drink: despite the cafe being absolutely packed, the worker was super nice and took the time to check on my order. Much appreciated! I opted for the Green Dragon Latte, which was matcha, vanilla, and my milk of choice, soy milk. It was a bit too sweet for me, but a tasty drink nonetheless. I also got the Bollywood burrito (with tofu): the flavors were good (reminded me of a samosa), but it was a bit dry and the ingredients were falling out of the tortilla, making for a messy eat. Not the best burrito I've had, but not bad. Overall, a cute little local-owned business worth checking out for the vibes and food/drink!

Yelp
I ordered the Bite Supreme Croissant, and it is a good solid breakfast sandwich. I love the cheddar crisp, it adds this delicious slightly burnt cheesy flavor and the bacon is very crispy (just the way I like it). My only small complaint is that I ordered through DoorDash and the sandwich came squished.

Yelp
I think I found my new favorite spot for a coffee based drinks in LA! Undergrind has so many options that I was having the hardest time choosing what to get, I even studied the menu beforehand! I ended up getting an iced vanilla bean latte and it was SO GOOD. My friend got the Emerald City and it was tasty as well. For the food, I'd say it's nothing to write home about and it does take a while to get but that's okay. The all American breakfast burrito was lackluster but my friend did love her East chop salad and the pancakes. I ended up getting an iced London fog latte to go and I'm so glad I did, I'll be dreaming about it forever.
google avatar

Dennis T.

Yelp
Decent coffee spot and the prices are pretty good. I got a cold brew and the veggie wrap. About $9 for the wrap and +$2 if you want to add avocado. Service is good and everyone seemed friendly. It was fairly busy when we visited and the food and coffee still came out quickly. Having said all that, it's a good neighborhood spot but i wouldn't make a drive just to eat here.
google avatar

Tamara T.

Yelp
Was working in the area and stopped in for coffee. Went with the Lucky Charm latte and was sold! The coffee was super smooth and the marshmallow flavoring along with the little Lucky Charms marshmallows just took me back to being a kid. I ordered the French Lover's French Toast for sustenance and it was a solid breakfast. If you're on-the-go like I am, the French Lover's French toast is a great meal as it's easy to dip with your fingers, no utensils really needed. The bread they use is also top tier! I parked on the side street across from the mural and paid the meter for an hour. It's kind of small inside, but there's more seating on the side of the counter, but the seats facing the street are a nice way to de-compress.
google avatar

Jenna L.

Yelp
Been to this place so many times and I love their drinks! My favorite is the Tiger Island. I always get my drink to go since the space is small, but looks like recently they've broadened their food menu and seating area. Check it out if you're in the area!
google avatar

Bridgette R.

Yelp
The soy chorizo breakfast burrito was excellent and the salsa was even better! This was my first time trying the soy chorizo burrito and I'm a fan.
google avatar

Enrique M.

Yelp
This place is cute. They have a wide variety of food and drinks to choose from. I got the Salted Caramel Iced Latte today. Unfortunately I don't taste the salted or the caramel in my drink. My wife got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Iced Latte and that was very good! The service was great here. The staff was very friendly and one guy game out a couple times to wipe down tables and reorganize chairs. Solid 7/10 spot.

Yelp
I definitely discovered this spot through tik tok! I'm a huge fan of lucky charms, so when I heard there was a café spot in LA that served a latte that tasted like lucky charms, I just had to try it out! I live in NoHo, so this Cafe is a bit far from me. So I did visit on an early Saturday morning. The location this spot is located in is practically impossible to park in during a week day. But 9am on a weekend? Easy! You have to street park as there isn't a parking lot. The Cafe does have some indoor and outdoor seating but I could definitely see that filling up fast on a weekday or later in the day on the weekend. I tried out the lucky charm latte and the morning melt. The latte came with a small container of lucky charm marshmallows that you can add to your drink. Overall it definitely tasted like a bowl of lucky charms, but I couldn't see myself drinking this on a daily or weekly basis. However the morning melt?? So delicious! I wasn't evening planning on grabbing food, but saw they had a food menu and wanted to try something. It did take a bit for my food to come out but the melt was worth it. It had cheese, egg and tomatoes on it and they gave me chalula on the side. Perfection! Overall service was good and the vibe was welcoming. I would definitely love to bring friends here and try out their other drinks!

Yelp
5/5 for their food, service, and location. My friend recommended this place so we headed over here for lunch. It was delicious! I loved the ambience, food, and service. Food: I ordered the chicken banh mi and the scarlett rose latte. The portion for the chicken banh mi was generous! I loved the crunch on the bread and the marinade they use on the red onions. It's a sweet and tangy bite fused with the vegetables and chicken. Mmm, so delicious! The rose latte was also delightful too. It tasted definitely like a milk tea, which was refreshing after a workout. Would definitely order both of these again if I visit again. Service: All the employees there are super nice, laid back, and welcoming! No complaints. Location: Not too much of a line since we came during off-peak hours. You order food and seat yourself. There's a single unisex bathroom as well. There's street parking all around. I did not have any trouble finding parking. Overall, great cafe! Would definitely come back if i'm ever in the area.
google avatar

Samantha K.

Yelp
I got the cherry bomb latte and it was delicious. It was pretty busy (I came on the weekend) so not really any seating if we had wanted to stay and hang out. Definitely want to return to try some of their other lattes since they had a few fun options that looked good.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a local gem! Undergrind is such a cute cafe perfect to grab a coffee with a friend or get a work sesh in, with a nice outdoor seating area too. Their sandwiches are delish and I got their Cinnamon Toast Crunch Iced Latte and it was so sweet and yummy. My barista was amazing, I like my coffee abnormally sweet so I asked him to make it sweeter, and he was kind enough to just make me a brand new one just the way I like it! Can't wait to come back and try more of their items.
google avatar

Jailene G.

Yelp
Super busy but worth the wait! Tried the lucky charm latte and the dirty chai! Both delish
google avatar

Haley D.

Yelp
The croissant breakfast sandwich was delicious and came with a great sauce on the side. The Salted Caramel Latte is just the right amount of sweet that I can still enjoy the coffee flavor. Will definitely be coming back to try more of the breakfast foods and drinks!
google avatar

Gregory C.

Yelp
I love this place and it has great food. It's just so slow getting food orders, especially if you do the online order. ** please give Izzy a raise!! He's the only one that cared enough to go out of his way to figure out what the problem was and to get me my food that was delayed by others.
google avatar

Elaina E.

Yelp
Good flavors. Great atmosphere. BLM. Female-owned. Healthy and gourmet food for the masses.
google avatar

Chieko W.

Yelp
Ordered through Uber Eats...did not receive any utensils or napkins. A bit disappointing when you have shrimp and grits and have to hunt down utensils to eat it. Shrimp and grits was meh and bit soupy. The Bahn Mi (chicken) was on point! Sandwich was flavorful. Bread was nice.
google avatar

Hattie S.

Yelp
So far I've only had the chance to try the coffee, but I will 100% be returning to try the grub. It's smells HEAVENLY in here! Staff was sooo incredibly kind, and they sell little enamel pins. They also actually listen to you when you ask for a certain amount of sweetener 10/10. Starbucks Who??? YAYs: Salted caramel latte (half sweetner) Peanut butter latte (half sweetner/blended)
google avatar

Nicolette S.

Yelp
*disclaimer- only have door-dashed from Undergrind! Both times I have DoorDashed from Undergrind the food quality and service has been excellent. The prices are reasonable for LA, and I've always gotten my order fulfilled in a timely manner. This time I got the iced Green Dragon, which was a matcha latte. It was perfect sweetness and didn't taste powdery or artificial. I also love the cute stickers on every cup!
google avatar

Debbie N.

Yelp
Lovely cafe with wonderful coffee drinks and delicious food! Staff were so lovely and kind. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Alejandro B.

Yelp
I love this spot!!! So hard to order sometimes because everything I've had is so good and everything else sounds delicious!! I love being able to support smaller businesses like this and it's even better when the food, service and location is absolutely perfect! I only live a few blocks from here so it's a cool spot to go, get some food and either bring back home or eat outside at their shaded tables. All the employees here are always so friendly and are more than happy to give great recommendations. Don't forget to go around the corner and get a healthy smoothie from their Raw smoothie spot. Super good!
google avatar

Andre B.

Yelp
Nice coffee place like the atmosphere. I enjoyed my latte and that sign mocking Starbucks was golden.
google avatar

Shelby J.

Yelp
I really liked this place! The food was very tasty! There was sidewalk seating so we sat outside which was nice! Service was pretty good. We received our food timely. Definitely will go back to this place when in the area again! $$
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Unfortunately updating my review for this place. I was so excited to come back but my salad (named "east chop") was not how it was the first time. It was mostly cabbage filled, which last time I got it it was more of a garnish. Didn't come with any cilantro. I was given two different dressings when i ordered extra dressing, but the staff was very nice and noticed the mistake too. Although, the person I was with said the thanksgiving melt was the best sandwich they've ever had. So because of that & kind staff I'm rating it 4 stars, but based on my meal it would be 3.
google avatar

Brianna B.

Yelp
First time visited and I liked it! They have a large menu. I got the lucky charms latte and cali sandwich. The latte lacked flavor and was too milk heavy for my liking. The sandwich however was good! Service was good, took a bit to get our orders but I think it was because it was a little busy. Cute vibe too!
google avatar

Norma F.

Yelp
I find this place a bit overrated, but I love their Emerald City (Pistachio ) Latte. Prices are a bit high, and the staff isn't particularly friendly. I tried the Morning Melt sandwich, which was just average. Honestly, I don't cook much, and even I can make a better one! The pastries are the same story. It also took them half an hour to warm up my cheese danish--I think they might have forgotten my order
google avatar

S P.

Yelp
Cali sandwich and Cold brew for the win. One of the best cafe sandwiches I've ever had. Yum! Person at the counter was nice, music was good too, Jay Z was playing when I left. Not mad at all

Sam S.

Yelp
When you come into Undergrind you don't get the impression that it's some legendary LA cafe that has been pushed into mainstream media for its innovative and fancy products. It's a good and cute local cafe that serves the people of the neighborhood with necessities: coffee and small bites. The coffee is strong and solid, the sandwhich, I think California sandwich was massive and pretty good. One star off for quality + ratios of food, but for 16$ it was a great meal. Happy to come back again!
google avatar

Tara R.

Yelp
Come here every chance I get. The break of day burrito and filthy chai latte (I get it iced) never disappoint!!
google avatar

William H.

Yelp
I absolutely love this fabulously hip, friendly local cafe that serves an eccentric array of flavored coffees and teas, served in pink accented cups! The food menu has an incredibly diverse selection, and the portions are superbly generous.
google avatar

Victoria G.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee spot in Culver City. The employees were so nice here! My husband and I got a salted Carmel latte and lucky charm one they were delicious!!
google avatar

Yelp
Food, coffee and atmosphere is awesome. Keep it up team!. You all make coming here so welcome
google avatar

Meg T.

Yelp
This place was SO GOOD! I had tuna & hubby had a wrap, plus a pistachio latte bc I'm currently addicted to them. Everything was delicious. It was pretty quiet when we go there around 11:30 but was quite busy by the time we left. Easy street parking & super friendly staff. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Joshua G.

Yelp
Came in about 20 minutes before closing on a weekday, but the staff was totally professional and friendly. I only got an Americano with a splash of coconut milk, but it was good for what it is. Definitely liked the spooky and silly skeletons all about, very lighthearted and fun. Definitely worth making this place a stop, could be good for a low key daytime date or casual meeting.

Kat's I.

Yelp
Ordered over the phone on my way to work, girl on the phone was super sweet and helpful as it was my first time there so she gave me recommendations! Ended up getting the lucky charms latte and Cali sandwich. When I came in you could see it was super busy but the employees were still professional/polite. Loved the Halloween decorations, very cute! Now onto the food/drinks: Unfortunately the lucky charms latte was not it for me but I will admit im a bit of a coffee snob and it seems to be popular with others so YMMV. I just did not like it because I couldn't taste the lucky charms flavor at all and that wouldn't have been a problem but I just didn't like the taste of the coffee too strong for me / generic, didn't drink it. However, the sand which??? WOW this was incredible! I would definitely go back for the sandwich I ate the whole thing it was so yummy.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
OMG I LOVE that Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte! My husband and I fight over if it's better hot or cold...I say hot! the avocado toast is also a must. (I get mine without pepper flakes). I do not recommend breakfast burritos though. They're overpacked with undercooked hash browns : ( Every staff member here is very cool, patient and helpful. I once had a latte that didn't taste how it usually does. I felt bad to return it but they happily re-made it for me even though they were really busy. They were so nice about it, they didn't make me feel bad at all. I love the fun decor and enjoy dinning in when I have the time.

Yelp
Swanky coffee spot in Culver City, I heard a lot of good things about this spot so dropped by to check it out. The interior is small and cozy, and there are a few tables outside if there isn't enough seating inside. The baristas and cashiers are also very friendly and service is relatively quick. We ordered the French lover, XXX, and a bayou burrito and I gotta say the food was not great. The French toast was a bit bland and it said there was bread pudding but I didn't see nor taste any of it. The bayou burrito was decent, actually a solid serving of shrimp and the flavor was good as well. The XXX was.. probably one of the most disappointing things I've had, it's a huge burrito that's like 90% rice, and it just felt like I was eating two bowls of rice wrapped in a tortilla. The salsa they have here is also the mildest thing ever and there was nothing to save this burrito. I'd also say the coffee wasn't up to par from what I expected from a cafe, millcross was way more solid.
google avatar

Eric R.

Yelp
Normally, given the food experience here, I would be giving the restaurant three stars... However, the intangibles give them another star to make it for. Positives first, the restaurant is mega cute outside and inside. The staff is friendly and engaging. They have an outdoor seating area which is appreciated, although the traffic noise on Robertson is a pain in the butt. Also, the prices are quite reasonable. That's rare these days... The negatives really focus on the food. First, the sausage and gravy was good, but the problem was the biscuits were much too soft... Almost tasted like cake. Those biscuits need to be firm and crunchy. A bigger disappointment was the classic All-American burrito, the burrito was lacking in cheese and the meat inside was minced so fine that it was barely noticeable. A breakfast burrito needs to be packed full of cheese that is ooey gooey and meat chunks that I can taste. Also a little bit of grease can help with the dryness.

Yelp
This cafe is in a super cute neighborhood. My friends and I came here hungover and we needed some coffee and food. I decided to try their "Break of the Day Burrito," and it turned out to be a flavorful and satisfying choice. What made this burrito stand out was the unexpected addition of jalapeños, which added a delightful crunch and a kick of heat. The combination of ingredients in the burrito was well-balanced and the flavors blended together harmoniously, making for a mouthwatering breakfast option. The staff there was also very friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty fire vanilla latte and pistachio matcha latte! Wasn't able to try the food tho bc it was a 20min wait :') even though they were super busy, the people were super kind and patient! 9/10

Yelp
I don't need resolutions, I'm perfect already. Haha! Happy New Year! Undergrind Cafe is a relaxed neighborhood coffee shop preparing flavored lattes and creative breakfast and lunch in Culver City of LA. Indoor atmosphere was relaxing and space layout was a bit constraint with limited seating. However, they have a front outdoor patio with street view. I came here to grab a lunch. I was warmly greeted by a male staff. They have copious selection of food and drink items on their menu. After careful thought, I ordered a Veggie wrap and lemonade. The food was delightful and refreshing, respectively. Prices were fair for the area. Service was on point. Serving match the price. Overall, I had a good healthy lunch and pleasant order experience. I recommend this little coffee shop.

Alexandra B.

Yelp
The food (brekkie burrito) and vanilla iced latte is so delicious!! It's a very small space, so is hard to get a seat, usually it's a grab and go. Everyone is so kind, too!

Yelp
Went in for a quick bite and ordered the Spanish lovers burrito. Hands down best breakfast burrito I've had. Services was quick and easy and very welcoming
