Underground Pizza

First of all, service was great. Love the hustle of the people that work here. I got a cheese slide and a barbecue chicken slice. The cheese slice was good. Flavor was very decent. Slight above average from what you’d expect from a typical NYC pizza slice. Sauce could be more flavorful but I’m not complaining too much. Dough is lightly crispy and easy to eat. Barbecue chicken slice was the star of the show. Nothing on the slice was too overpowering and you get plenty of chicken for the slice and for $5, you’ll be very satisfied. All in all, a very nice place. Homey old school feel with great workers and pretty good pizza. Will be returning

Service was great and friendly. Was served quick. The pepperoni slice was amazing and if I was reviewing just from that then this would have been a 5/5 rating, however the buffalo chicken pizza I thought was a bit dry.

Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had!! The BBQ chicken was incredible and the bottled root beer— amazing!! Definitely would recommend! Shout out to Ben for his kindness and good recommendations!

Pizza by the slice and pan. Not sure what’s an authentic NY style pizza but it was good. We had a few different slices and most were tasty. The pepperoni was a little salty to our preference but still good. We also ordered the fettuccine chicken Alfredo which took quite some time to cook. Was a little disappointed as the pasta was still hard like it wasn’t cooked enough and the chicken breast was tasteless.

Great service, great pizza. Classic style set up in side. Timeless NYC feel. Brought the food to our table. Fair prices especially nowadays. You won’t regret going here for a slice or square.

NY Pizza at its best. Truly overachieving on great pizza. What would you expect from the owner who's been making pizza here for over 30 years. Just mouth watering goodness. We had a calzone and a slice of BBQ.... amazing Gave me some dough making tips as well.

I've been coming to this place since 1996 as a 16 year old. Best pizza and sauce in all of downtown Manhattan!! Same owners. They are excellent for large office parties or even your own personal parties. Their Chicken Parm is absolutely amazing. Real authentic and tasty mozzarella! You want the beat pizza in downtown, go here. There's a reason I've been going here this long. And I lived in the Bronx near Arthur Ave my nearly my whole life where great pizza is!

My wife posted review and I wanted to add… first my daughter will not eat anything with out ranch dressing so I just looked it up pizza Shop after we got off ferry and call to see if they had some before we walked there… the owner answered and said they did… when we got there the pies looked great. But the best part was the owner and staff… as we ate our lunch I watched them interact with customers and was impressed!! They are the example of cool people.. I’m a pizza guy and have eat at all famous and top rated pizza in NYC… great slice and if ya want to see how people should be treated then go there.. clean bathrooms and plenty of seats…
