The 19 Restaurants Worth Seeking Out in Little Havana

"Craft beer is easy to find in Little Havana at Union Beer Store. Check out the beer market, stay for a drink, and fill up a growler to take home on the way out. The menu features an extensive rotating tap list with everything from stouts to sours made locally by brewers like JW Wakefield and Funky Buddha Brewery, and other craft breweries around the country." - Amber Love Bond

The 19 Best Bars In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"If you love professional wrestling and beer, then this might be your favorite bar in Miami. But even if you aren’t a diehard fan of either, you’ll still probably find this Calle Ocho spot refreshing and surprising in a good way. While most bars in the area specialize in live music and mojitos, Union Beer is a great spot to sit down for a conversation with zero pressure to salsa. They have a great beer selection, a rotating lineup of some of Miami's best food pop-ups, free Pac-Man, and a constant stream of classic professional wrestling playing on the TVs so you can check out The Rock back when he still sported a Speedo. Bars and Nightlife in Miami

"Nothing goes better with an ice cold beer than watching WWF Summerslam ’91 on a 16-inch TV. At least, that’s the theory at this wrestling-themed Little Havana beer bar where a massive collection of South Florida’s best local beers is complemented by wrestling action figures, classic wrestling matches on TV, and bartenders who know way more about Ric Flair than any human being should." - MATADOR_NETWORK

The Best Things We Ate This Week - Miami - The Infatuation

"Shrimp, Cabbage, And White Miso Dumplings The era of the pop-up in Miami isn’t over yet, and this week I met an excellent new one: HaoChi Dumplings. They’re taking over Calle Ocho’s Union Beer Store Mon-Wed, serving a small menu of excellent things like charred snow peas and crispy chicken wings. But the dumplings are the main event. They serve three different types, but my favorite was the “Triangle,” with shrimp, cabbage, and white miso. You can watch the full experience on our Instagram ride-along." - Ryan Pfeffer, Carlos C Olaechea

Google
A good sortiment of craft beer both on draft and in their fridges. Fridges with cans and bottles to go as well. Great that you can pick your choices of Togo and have the staff store it in fridge until you close your tab. Excellent place to visit for anyone into craft beer.

Google
I found this bar as I searched "Best Sours in Miami" and this came up, they were NOT wrong. Super low-key, small and intimate bar with a fun Wrestle Mania theme and quirky decor that made this a very unique spot! I tried all of their sours and loved every.single.one!! The bartender was super nice and friendly, and only wished we could have stayed longer or discovered it sooner. We will definitely return, thanks for the awesome visit!!

Sam Keske

Google
Great little-store vibe. Trippy, Insta-worthy building exterior. High-quality, eclectic in-house food and pop-ups (think, toasted spicy broccoli on a recent trip). Not a big on-tap or canned beer selection, but they clearly curate it for quality, both locally and nationally. Also cool to see how many places do collaborations with Union.

Google
My very first bar on arriving in the United States for the very first time. What an absolutely awesome experience it was. Pop Up chef and food, and wonderful beer recommended by the owners. Highly recommended and would definitely visit again!

Google
Best Craft Beer Bar/Bottle Shop in Miami area! Friendly & Knowledgeable Staff. Great Prices. Great Inventory including local beers, hard to find beer, delicious Mead Schrams, Superstition! Great bottles/cans for onsite or to go, with additional taps of delicious craft beer. Overall a must visit!!!

Google
Loved it! Great beers on tap, and a great to go selection too! They have food available in the back of the store when the red light is on and the tacos were delicious. If you don't want that there is a pizza place next door you can get. Super fun bar if you are into old school wrestling and damn good craft beer. Highly recommended!!!

Google
A very cozy place to have a cold draft beer with several beer can selection from other brewery. As you may have noticed breweries are popping out everywhere but this location are dedicated to bring you good quality craft beer or local can beer. I recommend this location because of the friendly and passionate staffs who are willing to help.

Google
This place is really great and feels welcoming for anyone, if you want to watch a wrestling event, this is it. I gave 4 stars to the food just because they really don't serve food all the time but they are totally ok with you bringing your own, they're great like that.

Yelp
Great spot in the heart of Calle Ocho featuring a wide array of beers on tap. The night we visited there was a vegan food menu and although we aren't vegan we truly enjoyed the táquenos. They have two cozy sitting areas by the windows and it is great for people watching. They have free games available and that is always a fun time. I'd recommend stopping in for a cold one and a relaxed brewery experience.

Yelp
We stopped here for some beers after our Little Havana food tour. It was pretty empty but guessing it's not the vibe people are looking for on Calle Ocho probably. It was raining outside though and the beers and space were awesome! They didn't really make any of the beers there (I don't think), but rather poured drafts from cool breweries across the country. We used to live in Virginia and got a great passion fruit gose from Veil in Richmond. The chalkboard walls had names of a bunch of different breweries they've featured before and had a lot of Virginian beers! The woman behind the bar was very nice and let us sample a few tastes before committing to full pours. Only thing - we had a party of six and luckily it was empty so we were able to take up two seating spaces. Would be hard to have six people here when it's more packed.

Yelp
We love this spot! Kind of divey but such an amazing selection of beers. I love getting to look at the can art when I pick one. They also have beers on draft. Lots of games and different style seating with a big porch out back. It's in a great location on calle ocho where you can crawl around. This is one of our staples! The pizza next door is delicious also and they will bring your order right over. Always a great experience here!

Yelp
Pros: Great selection of beers, awesome music, immaculate vibe. They also service wine and there are options for bar snacks. Def my fav watering hole in the area. Cons: it's small and you have to pay for parking.
google avatar

Jane R.

Yelp
Service- the bartender was very kind and helpful in helping me pick the best choice. The beer choices amazing from many parts of the country. Ambiance- fun bar, great music, and cool vibe. A must stop if you're craving a beer in Little Havana.

Yelp
Impecable vibes, service, and beer. Everyone is there to drink and have a good time. Great spot to meet up with friends or have a beer before/after dinner.

Yelp
I love coming to Union. Perfect for a lazy Sunday when you just want good beer, great food and pristine vibes. Came today with a friend and tried the melon sour gose, which is absolutely delish. Definitely try it if you're a fan of sours, and even if you're not, it's actually not too tart and just the right amount of sweet. Since it was indeed a Sunday, the Haochi pop-up was there, so my friend and I shared the brisket noodles and the KFC Sammich (fried chicken sandwich with a spicy honey sauce and slaw on brioche). Both were insanely good and fresh. Although a bit of a steeper price tag, they were excellent for sharing and left us full. The vibe here is always so welcoming. You can tell they have their regulars and treat everyone like family. Very chill, not stuffy, but you still get amazing service. Today there was a vintage market in the back, so that was fun to check out, too. Overall, Union is a must-visit place in Miami and does an excellent job of making locals feel at home amidst all the touristy bullshit that has overtaken Little Havana. With that being said, they're located right on 8th Street, so parking can sometimes be tough, but if you drive a couple of blocks north, you'll eventually hit available street parking.
google avatar

Diego A.

Yelp
Great spot to chill, drink good beer, watch old school wrestling, and chat with friends. If your into stout beers, try out the 2nd Shift Liquid Spiritual Delight With Toasted Coconut. Great flavor. It's strong: 11.5%... so brace yourself and pace yourself. Also... the Angry Chair Gillian's red ale is great for flavor, but a refreshing beer.
google avatar

Yelp
Really good beer with a great atmosphere if you want to escape the tourists in Calle ocho. Being able to order Far Out Pizza as well is a great touch.
google avatar

Julio C.

Yelp
I visited this place earlier with a friend, and it was terrific. The site is very chill. I drank the Monkey Golden, and it was good. I left half because I was full of the food, which was delicious. The dumplings were great. The sauce is a little spicy and well cooked. They were soft and tasty. The bao bun was also terrific! I will be back for sure for the food!

Yelp
In the mood for a cold crisp beer? This is the place to have one! Its a small location with a huge heart! Folks behind the bar are professional & very friendly! Its a place which makes everyone feel welcomed! They offer a variety of craft beers both draft & cans. Don't be afraid of asking if you can have a taste of one on draft before committing to it! They are happy to do so. Get with the folks behind the bar, let them know what flavors you like & they can provide suggestions. There is no food at location, however no issue to bring in some. Many options near by including the new pizza joint called Far Out Pizza (which i have also reviewed recently) right next door. They have pizza, sandwiches, dips, wings oh so yummy! Many regulars visit Union & they are greeted by name! Once a month they host Trivia nite which is filled with great vibes & good times. Come on in & enjoy a cold one among friends!

Yelp
Amazing place. Great beers on tap, amazing atmosphere, I had a really good time here....

Yelp
Ohhh man I could write all day about this place but ima keep it simple . If you want a dive bar type of vibe with some good conversation and great craft beer this is the place to be . This family owned bar is a GEM in the little Havana section of Miami . You can come here any day of the week and find yourself sipping on a new flavor of beer or smoking on a cigar, it's a surprise every time, you'll never know what they have . Also they have a chef in the back like a legit chef! You wouldn't even know it! The food is a 10/10!

Jojo M.

Yelp
So today is me and my boyfriend's anniversary, he really loves these type of beers, and so we live kinda far from this place, but decided to take the hour drive cause on google it says they're open today regular hours, so we drive an entire hour up here to pay $10 for parking, just to walk up to a completely empty and closed business...a business that said NOWHERE they would be closed...we will 100% never attempt to make this drive again, because this company couldn't even let people know their holiday hours ... this pretty much ruined the day for us.

Yelp
Cool place smack dab on Calle Ocho! Came for the first time and yelp reviewers get $2.00 off their first pour! Thank you so much for supporting local yelped. We do appreciate the kind gesture. Jacob was here at the bar helping everyone with their perfect beer pours. If unsure on a selection. You can't go wrong on their own calibration with "JWB" J Wakefield "Jamin Blondes". Fantastic IPA. It's a northeastern style IPA w/ Citra and Columbus hops. Let me just make a small notation, I am not a fan of IPA's. But this one was great. Perfect pour and great taste. Not bitter and not sour. Meets your taste buds in the middle. They also have a great selection on eats also. Check my photo out to view their menu. Last beer we ordered was the Proof-Mango Wit (mango Belgian wit)

Yelp
What's to say about this place that hasn't already been said. It's a fantastic beer shop. My wife and I were visiting Miami, and I was jonesing for some good craft beer. After walking around Calle Ocho on a sunny day, I decided to pop into the store. I'm so glad I did. This place had a ton of rare craft beer in their to-go section. I scored some beers that had been on my wish list for quite some time. Unfortunately, the bar/taps weren't running just yet, but I'm glad I could snag some goodies to go. If I had another day in Miami, I definitely would've gone back.

Yelp
3 years and still going strong. I stand by my prior review and adding an additional star as Union is even better than when I first started coming. I love this place! Always has great beer selections and vibe for all beer lovers. And with the addition of El Jardín, an outside seating area to enjoy your favorite brews, they've definitely stepped up their game.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Cool Comfy bar, they have wide variety of specialty craft beer, dope selection, welcoming staff and some wines as well. A friend recommended me this spot right on historic Calle Ocho. Thoroughly enjoyed the vibe and special release beers that they bring in from what I learned just about every week. Plenty of food spots neighboring the location in case you get the munchies after downing a couple of delicious brews. Be sure to ask for Enrique(bartender)....and tip of course. He's legit.
google avatar

Vanessa J.

Yelp
Moved in here a few years ago. Not sure why people keep walking in and out and ordering beer from my bar. But they're pretty nice so I haven't complained to the landlord yet. A+
google avatar

Josette S.

Yelp
Ok first off what's not to love about this place. I know right now we can't enjoy it to the fullest, but when it was fully open, this spot was a ton of fun! Plus hello the beer selection! Now when I go, it just for pickup, but still everyone there is not only friendly but fun to talk to! I love that they do cafecito time at 3:16pm and have Estevey as the face of the place LOL. Follow them on IG and you'll see what I'm talking about. Now let's talk beer. There hasn't been a single thing I've had there that has ever disappointed me. Shout out to David who always gives me the best suggestions! Like legit everything I get there has been great! The cool thing about a beer store is you get to discover new beers you might not have had the chance to check out elsewhere. Well bottom line is I love Union! I can't wait till this pandemic ends and I can hit up the place like normal.
google avatar

Karla C.

Yelp
Vibes never lie. This place is nestled in the now busy Calle 8 strip in Miami and let me tell you I'm so so so happy this place didn't close down due to the pandemic. You can almost miss it because it's small and dim lit but when you do step through the doors it's like you're teleported to another city. The wrestling memorabilia, Shawn of the dead on repeat and a fridge stocked with unique beers. What more do you want for a bros night out in the town? Food! And ladies and gentleman they have that too. The owners are always super attentive and have a great selection on tap. Locals and tourist alike, rejoice for this is the place you come to unite.
google avatar

Luis G.

Yelp
A gem in the heart of Calle Ocho Popped in with my boy after chillin at Bar Nancy for a while and immediately went for the Ultimate MK3 machine to see how far I could get on a free game lol. This is a legit neighborhood spot.. beer bar, store and taco spot in one. Small but comfortable, laid back vibe. A spot to come post up with A1's and beer aficionados. Bring your old skool WWF threads and pound a few!
google avatar

Kristina T.

Yelp
This place is great! Right in the middle of Calle Ocho and with a amazing selection of beer, I'm so glad we ended up here. I'm only in town for a month, and will definitely be back - the wrestling decor, excellent bartender and stellar people watching, to say nothing of a menu that includes a beer called "Sexual Manatee", how could I stay away?
google avatar

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
*pre covid review* My bf and I got to come here right before covid happened and we had a great time. We arrived pretty late at night but it was still lively. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple beers. As we were sitting I noticed that they had some shirts and pins so I asked about them and the staff was so helpful. They went completely out of their way to find a shirt in my size which I really appreciated. The bar is also like wrestling themed which I thought was cool and they also had a collab beer with one of my favorite breweries called Mikerphone so that was cool. Highly recommend coming here!
google avatar

Virginia S.

Yelp
Union Beer Store is one of those places that feels like it's been there forever. It's great selection of local craft beer, walls decorated with posters of breweries and beer caps... all snuggled in the heart of calle 8, Miami surrounded by Cuban restaurants... I believe you have a winner here. It's clientele is local beer enthusiasts and what not who appreciate the art of fine brewing. Great vibes and no bs here. This is a place where you come to drink beer, relax and have good conversation amongst friends. Prices are reasonable for Miami but you really can't put a price on good beer. I will definitely come back here.
google avatar

Tara H.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem within Little Havana. We came here because we saw a sign outside that said "good beer". When we walked into the store, there were a wide variety of hard to find beers and seltzers. They also have beer on draft. I would highly recommend Union Beer Store to other beer lovers.
google avatar

Adry G.

Yelp
Truly a gem in the middle of Calle Ocho. Great beer selection and they even have small bites from the pop up restaurant in the back (When I went on Wednesday they had Dumplings). Ample seating was available and the guy working the bar actually had his mask on the whole time which I appreciated (other places the workers have it hanging from their nose =/). The guy was very nice and made sure to check up on me and my +1 throughout the night. They also have a few bottles for sale for people that like to take some goodies home! Will be back for sure.
google avatar

Frederick D.

Yelp
We came to Cale Ocho to check out this bar on a rainy afternoon as we were parched. The tend was very friendly and let us try our favorite styles. Nicole got an IPA from Jupiter and I had a stout, not my favorite but it was nice. We had the front window sitting near the entrance and could look out while the babe played. We ordered tacos and guacamole from the kitchen, which is not part of the bar but occupies the same premises. They specialize in tacos so we tried their pork belly and carnitas which was very tasty. There was definitely an underground feel here and we were riding that wave. Check it out if you are near.

Yelp
Finally I can get pastelitos and craft beer, hold on, GOOD craft beer, in 8th Street. No, I am not looking for hookers, sorry, only good food, good beer, culture, ice cream (what?), and a voodoo doll. Sorry, no voodoo doll either. I have been to the Union a few times, when it has been packed and sweaty, and when it has been decent, meaning you can seat at the bar, talk, and pay attention to the screens. Eh, if you didn't know, the Union regularly plays WWF "fights" on their screens. I know this is a craft beer review, but the WWF blew my mind. What a freaking show! I swear I want that channel! Anyway, this place has great beer, I don't want to take away anything from the breweries, and other bars, but the Union is got a going on. Plus, this is not only a bar, it is also a store with a bunch of beer to go. Man, this is heaven. About the food, they have a menu that is being worked on, or not, but you can also order food from the surrounding restaurants. Beer is good, music is good, TV screens are on fire, to go options are good, location is prime, really, what are you waiting for? One thing though, between you and me, don't bring any d*cks...
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
I really liked this place! The bar tender was super nice! He let us sample as many as we wanted, told us which ones were similar and let us try those too! I always go go ipas. I chose one that was from Jupiter, Florida. Fred got a stout, it was good too. We ordered two tacos, guacamole and chips. Apparently they specialize in tacos. They were good! It is kinda a hole in the wall feel which I like. They had some old school games like Uno and the boxing guys. It was a really nice place to stop for a micro brew!
google avatar

Alexa C.

Yelp
The perfect little craft beer spot for those yeast aficionados who take pride in a good brew. You'll find the everyday beer alongside some rare bottles. The Miami beer scene has progressively taken a new approach to what beer is, how it's sold, and most importantly the ambience it attracts. Some might consider it a bar but if you stroll the displays- it's tough not to leave with a brew or two to add to your collection. Nestled in the arts district of Calle Ocho, this place follows the spunky vibe relevant to this part of Miami. It's about time Little Havana got into the craft beer scene & im glad they did it with style. It's a perfect spot for locals and tourists alike. Parking is tricky because it's Calle Ocho but just feed your meter and take a nice stroll. I love this area & I love this place. Cheers !
google avatar

Nicole P.

Yelp
Great spot! Friendly service, good beer. Little place not for big crowds but it's definitely a place for a good beer with a friend. Plus you can order food from a different place that's on the side and they bring it to you. Happy hour till 8pm on a couple draft beers! Totally worth it
google avatar

Ambar C.

Yelp
Awesome new craft beer bar/store in the little Havana neighborhood. This is exactly what we needed in this area. They have an amazing selection of draft beers as well as tons of cans an bottles. The place is small but really nice. Industrial type decor with some artistic touches. Spacious bar and cute seating area by the windows. Staff is really friendly and welcoming. They have a couple of arcade machines and t.v. 's for your entertainment. Looking forward to making lots of memories at this place.
google avatar

SPIKE M.

Yelp
Excellent Craft Beer establishment right in the heart of Calle Ocho. Wide selection of drafts, keeping it fresh by heavily favoring local breweries . Also several coolers full of hard to find bottles from around the country. Friendly and knowledge staff. The decor has the perfect vibe for a bar that servers discriminating beer. Just a hint of a Sports Bar. I love their super duty coasters! Sweet spot to chill Great place to cool off after a night of Salsa dancing.

Yelp
Union Beer Store, you get my 800th review. Once upon a time, there was a South of Fifth beer bar known as Abraxas Lounge, and I would go there almost every weekend; it was a home away from home. Abraxas closed, and times changed - I don't really have the time or the will to spend every Friday or Saturday night in a beer bar anymore. The unique circumstances of the time, the people I met, none of that can be replicated. However, when I do go out for a beer, I want that same sense of camaraderie, and of course, I want a compelling beer list that'll keep me engaged/interested. Enter Union. It's become my go-to. The guys behind the bar are mostly old school beer aficionados like me - they know their stuff, and always treat me like a valued customer. The vibe inside is that of a chill, low-key bar with a pro wrestling fetish. Go and see for yourself. It's a fun place right in the heart of the fun neighborhood of little Havana. All of this is great, but if the beer didn't keep me interested, I wouldn't go that often. Union brings the fire. The tap list is stocked with several local options, often including excellent selections from Civil Society, J Wakefield, Bangin Banjo, as well as choice options from the Tampa area like Angry Chair and 7venth Sun. Rounding out the list are stellar options cherry picked from hot breweries around the country. That's just on tap, don't forget to check out the coolers for great bottles and cans available for on-site consumption or to go. I've been to some beer bars worldwide, and Union legitimately qualifies as one of my favorites anywhere. It's the real deal!
google avatar

Veronica P.

Yelp
The bartenders are very nice and accommodating. A good variety of beers on tap as well as options available in cans out of a self-service fridge. They also have house wine. We went for a Proof burger pop-up and the burger was just as I remembered!
google avatar

Kristy L.

Yelp
Super cool spot in Little Havana! My husband and I went after the Heat game to top off the fun night for a beer. They have a variety of canned options and a good amount of draft options as well. [they currently have $2 off your first draft beer with check in ;) ] I tried a Civil beer and my husband had two new beers and we enjoyed them. The bartenders were very attentive and accommodating. The space itself is pretty small, so it can get quite crowded but hey what's wrong with making new friends at the bad?

ColumbiaRiver P.

Yelp
Amazing beer selection and great service! The beer selection was top notch having Whales from local breweries and ones from all over the US. Couldn't ask for anything more.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is awesome. Great vibe, great staff, great craft beer selection and BEST OF ALL is the taco place in the back. Pop in and order a round of beers with your friends, order one of every taco (yes...I am pushing you to do this because THEY ARE THAT GOOD), and play some old school games. If you are bored, love beer, tacos, and games... COME ON OVER. It does not disappoint. **They also have some wine for those of you none beer drinkers**
google avatar

Paul C.

Yelp
1st time going last night and it was awesome. Love all the wrestling decor and beer selection was great. If you like sour beer their selection is great. Will be going back multiple times
google avatar

Devorah L.

Yelp
I wish I had found this place sooner. Great beer and good vibe. A little hipsterish without being pretentious, so not actually hipster, just hip? We came after a tap takeover so all the beers were on the creative side, but there are plenty of bottled beers in the back to choose from if nothing on tap perks your interest. And of course don't forget the tacos in the back! When my boyfriend told me there were tacos in the back I thought it was going to just be a slim menu from me to choose from. Instead there were 6-7 taco varieties, quesadillas, burritos, and chips and dip. I just tried one taco and it was great. I definitely will be back. I used the yelp check in for 2 dollars off my draught beer which was nice. This place is definitely worth checking out and is a good option if you are visiting calle ocho but don't actually want cuban food. The next time I'm craving tacos, someone remind me to go here and not waste my time somewhere else.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Union we love you!!! We can not be in Calle Ocho without visiting you. Such a great selection of beer and with a the cherry on top a window that sells Tacos and Tattoo "el Punto". Their servers are great, friendly, nice and funny they are also very helpful with beer suggestions. This place is a small bar with lots and lots of craft beer. If you love craft beer please visit the Union while in Calle8!!

Yelp
We just spent an amazing days in little Havana. This bar was Friendly and Unique. Great people, mellow vibe, beer with integrity. Thank you from Jodi & Shakea upstairs
google avatar

Mindy L.

Yelp
We were looking for a craft beer and we were able to find one right on calle ocho. You walk in and it's a bit dark but they carry a good selection of craft beers. You can get one from the draft list or go to the refrigerator and select a bottle there. Once you select your chosen beer, you will then head to the counter because the bartender has to open it for you. All the bottle beers in the refrigerator have prices right on them. The bartenders were friendly and have great suggestions in selecting a beer. They also have a menu with a few selections of munchies. The beer and the atmosphere was great. Would definitely come back and grab a beer.

Yelp
I'm not from Miami, but this little beer store/bar packs a lot in with their lineup of taps and cooler space. Bartender/manager has great local knowledge and obviously loves his job, so makes any visit even more enjoyable with his enthusiasm. Parking might be hard to come by, as is typical with this busy commercial street in Little Havannah, but if you go over two blocks, you'll be in business. Do yourself a favor and order the specially-made Slammin' Bones juicy, hazy IPA from J Wakefield. With 20 taps you better be able to find something to suit your fancy; I was impressed with the variety of styles with a mix of the larger more national brands and Florida favorites. If you don't have time to get around to all the local craft breweries around Miami, visit here and call it a win.

Yelp
Great beer, great service... I love that Little Havana has a place like this! Great to come here after a movie to discuss and have a cold one!

Yelp
Let's just be real here for a second. Union Beer Store rules. I went here on a whim with a friend of mine from home. We love beer and we really enjoy geeky beers and this place looked like it was loaded with it. Quickly we were able to see tons of Miami local beers on tap, then we walked to the giant refrigerators and half of the bar functions as a packaged good store! You'll find beers from faraway, craft beer, and many stouts since most Floridians don't bother drinking that stuff. We were chilling and having a good time watching TV, which included one TV solely dedicated to WWE. I don't get it but I love it anyway. Union Beer Store is very clean and the service at the bar was so excellent that I stopped in here twice in one day. If you are looking for a great place for a drink on Calle Ocho, head on to Union Beer Store. The owners keep a fridge full of rare and geeky beers, if you are lucky enough they will share some with you since they're top notch. 10/10 have done again will do again.

Yelp
Decided to check out Union Beer Store on a Sunday afternoon. Took advantage of the Yelp Check-In Offer and ended up trying three different beers, two on draft and one from the display fridge. Quality Union Beer Store is the newest addition to the burgeoning Miami beer scene. Located in Little Havana, Union Beer Store is a bar focused on serving up a mix of quality local brews and special limited beers from across the country. At this time they do not have food offerings, but they have a small snack menu in the works. They also permit you to bring in outside food for the time being. While hanging out at the bar I made my way through several IPA offerings starting with a delicious speciality brew from JWB called Slammin' Bones and ending with an equally as impressive beer from Civil Society called Fresh. No matter your taste, as long as you enjoy beers you will find something to enjoy either on the menu or in the displays. Quantity Hard to complain about solid pours of cold delicious beers. Value Even with such a large variety the beer prices are still very reasonable. Draft prices range from around $7 to $9. Ambiance Union Beer Store is located on Calle Ocho, right in the heart of Little Havana. It is a bar that hides in plain sight. From its general appearance as an decrepit old building to an awning missing a name and then a neon sign that merely says Yo Calle Ocho, you may walk right past it without a second glance. However, inside you find a very cool yet very simple bar. Aside from a few neon signs, a whale painting on the wall, and a toilet, everything else is really focused on the beer. The left side has the long bar with tons of taps and a large sign listing the beers available on draft. There are a few small tables on the right, some arcade games, and then five or six large refrigerators packed with beer. Above the bar they had two televisions both showing old wrestling events. This was really the only disappointing thing to me, as they don't seem to have interest in showing live sporting events aside from major games. Often I find myself using a game as an excuse to head to the bar, but knowing it probably won't be on here would be a deterrent for me. But even if the game is not on, the music was solid and everyone was friendly. Crowd Even on an early Sunday afternoon there was a steady flow of people checking out this new spot. The location right on the main stretch of Calle Ocho definitely helps and so does the connection to Kush. The crowd was beer lovers and everyone who stopped in seemed to want to talk about recent drinks they tried and new releases from nearby breweries. Service The bartender was excellent and had a ton of knowledge about each and every beer I tried. He made sure to let me taste everything before committing and let me know all about the concept and what the future plans are for things like adding food and events. It is definitely a bar where you can expect to have a friendly and informative conversation about beer. Parking When visiting this area I always choose to park a few blocks south in the residential area. Street parking on most of the roads are free and you don't have to worry about the chaos of parallel parking on Calle Ocho itself. Extra I am always excited when new bars open that put the focus on beer. Union Beer Store is a bar that really fills a need in the Little Havana area. The beer selection is excellent and the prices are more than reasonable. I look forward to a return visit when the food menu gets going and I do hope they reconsider showing live sports as that is my only real issue with the spot. Union Beer Store is definitely a place worth a visit for any beer lover or anyone who is trying to become one.

Yelp
Wow, Look no further. You will love this small spot where you can pick up beer to go, which is found at the back left hand side. Or you can sit down and enjoy a couple of IPA's or your preference based on their rotation. Love the selection from J Wakefeild. The staff are amazing guys, very attentive and friendly. The bar is decorated with alot of wrestling stuff. They also have different vendors serving up some good eats. Last night was my first time here. They had trivia night which is done every other Wednesday. I have not experienced a bar quiet like this one. It was a blast and I will definitely back.

Yelp
We stumbled on this place while cruisin' through Little Havana. Our bartender was awesome and we had some good micro-brew chat. Their beer selection was great and it was a fun, little place to drink, talk, and experience the local vibe.
