Unoriginal Noodles

We love beef noodles, of the Singapore and Hong-Kong varieties. So we were sceptical about beef noodles served in Brooklyn; after all, this borough is not known for Chinese food. But, we were pleasantly surprised. The taste, apparently the owner-chef's own concoction, didn't let us down. Its flavour was rather unique, spicy yet tasting like what any good beef noodle soup worth its salt (and pepper?) should. Other orders also did not disappoint. The lady boss, chef's mum, was friendly and chatty, further making our dining experience more enjoyable. Worth a 2nd and 3rd and .... visits.

If you're a local of South Slope, you might stumble on this hidden gem, kind of a humble but trendy storefront randomly on 6th ave, just a few blocks away from Greenwood Cemetery. It tends to only be discovered by those in the neighborhood because it's in this crux, but it's slowly getting noticed by those in Park Slope proper and by folks visiting after events in Windsor Terrace and in the cemetery. This all goes to say, I'm really lucky I walked in. It immediately became a staple in my restaurant rotation, as it's easily the best Ramen I think I've had ever, at least since living in New York. I can't stop ordering the chicken ramen, which comes with a generous portion of perfectly roasted chicken leg in a rich duck broth. I'm obsessed with it, dream about it, and crave it no matter the weather. The plating and subtle touches in the service elevate everything. You should go and chat with the owner/head chef, whose career (ask him!) is infamous, especially if you're familiar with the favorite restaurants of NYCers. Drink selection, esp. for sake is wonderful too. Hope more people discover it. Try the chicken ramen! And if you're vegetarian, try the tofu app!

Delicious ramen and great atmosphere! Definitely returning for more soon. We enjoyed chatting with the friendly staff as well.

This is exactly the place I’ve been waiting to open in the park slope/ south slope area. Duck wings are excellent. Sweet spicy and crispy. Ramen is great, more of a clear broth but with good flavor. Would definitely visit again.

Really excited to try this place as we live close by. The atmosphere and the service was great. Ahmad helped me with placing a to-go order and he was very nice and attentive. Unfortunately, the food itself was pretty bland. We felt like the broth had no flavor which then leads to the egg and the pork lacking flavor too. Maybe we just got it on an off night and can try to go back again

Came with two friends & now we all want to be regulars. Great appetizers (the tofu was a standout) and vegetarian ramen was a lovely cold weather bowl. The ube sweet potato ginger crème brûlée though? Perfect ending 🤤

I absolutely love this place! The food is incredibly delicious, and the servers are so friendly and welcoming. The mochi fried tofu is hands down the best tofu dish I've ever had—I literally dream about it! The ramen is fantastic, and their chocolate cake is the perfect cherry on top of an amazing meal. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for quality ingredients, great dining experience at a fair price, look no further. My partner and I had been wanting to try this place, and we were instantly blown away by the unique combination of authenticity and creativity. We tried the Taiwanese beef noodle soup and the chicken ramen. The broth and noodles complemented each other so well. The meat, combined with other toppings, created a solid feast. Malcom, the owner, and Ahmed, the waiter, made the space warm and welcoming. They treated us with a mochi fried tofu appetizer, which is beyond delicious (the texture of mochi and tofu creates such an pleasant contrast, and the sauce is so good that we keep dipping the noddles in it after we finished the mochi tofu). We greatly appreciate the efforts they put into uploading their high standards (their broth is made from high-quality organic ingredients sourced from upstate). We feel very grateful to have such a quality place in our neighborhood. Highly recommend checking out this spot for a great dinning experience.

I only have had their Spicy Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup but it was AWESOME. Noodles were a perfect consistency and the broth was wonderful - spicy for sure but not overpowering. I was underwhelmed by one of their rice beer cans, but next time I'll try a cocktail instead. It's a neighborhood vibe: there may be people on dates and there may be kids with their parents. Service was friendly, and there seemed to be a bunch of regulars. Definitely give this place a try after a winter walk through Green-Wood!

Really loved the decode and vibe of this place. The food was so good! The chicken ramen was out of this world and the spicy lotus pickles were really tasty. Even though there was a little hold up with our order the staff was kind and helpful. Really happy to have it in the neighborhood and looking forward to returning.

Amazing new spot in the neighborhood. We did takeout tonight but will be back for a visit soon! The spicy beef noodle soup has a bit of a kick and plenty of meat. Lots of chicken in the chicken ramen as well. Both dishes had high quality noodles and robust broths. Delicious flavor and textures!

Went for the 1st time and the seafood Raman was delicious! You can really taste the fresh ingredients. The staff was super friendly, and the owner, Malcolm, just moved to the neighborhood. Definitely worth a visit!
