This was my first time at Unregular Pizza because I had been going to Mighties in the lower level of the Essex Market building. Mighties is now closed, as all of the businesses in the lower level have been asked to vacate the space downstairs.
Initially, I was skeptical about how orders are filled at Unregular Pizza, but, once I sat at the counter and received the slices I'd order, I understood their system. It seemed logical.
The pizza was good.
As I was eating, I took notice of the diligence of the Unregular Pizza staff member. In fact, he was the only one working behind the counter, and he was doing every task possible. He was preparing pizza, serving customers, tidying up, and more.
At one point, I concluded that he is probably the hardest working food professional in New York.
The receipt, dated March 28, 2024, and time-stamped at 1:18 pm, said his name is Carlos.
