LA’s New Restaurant Openings - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Silver Lake has a new sports bar that plays women’s sports games on every screen. Untamed Spirits has taken over the former Trophy Wife space, pouring tequila cocktails flavored with things like tamarind, soursop, or serrano chiles, and serving beer-friendly foods like wings, tacos, and kimchi fried rice with gochujang butter." - cathy park

Went here on a weekday during happy hour to watch the sparks game. They also had soccer going on. We sat outside, nice patio and dog friendly. They have 2 bathrooms with courtesy feminine products (bless their souls). Drinks were good, strong. Lots of flavor options for margaritas. The passion fruit one is spicy! I got the appetizer brisket quesadilla and chips/salsa. Definitely shareable size!

Google
Such a wonderful place! My first visit was for the women's Euro finals, and the atmosphere couldn't have been better. Even though the place was packed, the staff were incredibly patient, efficient, organized, and kind. The food was excellent too! I've also had lovely interactions with them via social media. I can't wait to return!

Came here about 2 weeks ago for some drinks and ended up ordering some food very delicious by the way!! props to the cook David. Great place overall.

Google
Food was great and they had on a bunch of different sports. Loved the vibe! I had trouble finding the entrance at first, but you just have to walk up the incline then you’ll see the door

Google
amazing vibes! very friendly and the whole community showed up for the storm vs fever game. Extremely dog friendly! and so many cute dogs! the guy who complained about dogs barking at a dog friendly bar should’ve just gone to a no pet bar.

Google
Came in to pregame a Sparks game with a friend which was perfect because there were multiple east coast games going on before we had to head downtown for the Sparks. Staff was super friendly and attentive the decor was nice, simple and warm. it’s the first time that I’ve walked into a sports bar that felt like home, like it was made for people like me and full of people like me. Very glad this place exists - wish I lived closer so I could catch more games with friends here. Got to meet the owner toward the end - they were super friendly and open, just like the overall vibe.

Yelp
The best service with the coolest owners, this place will feed your belly with good food and strong drinks! Cheers!

Yelp
I drive from Orange County for Untamed Spirits like it's a long-distance relationship but honestly, so worth it. It's a women's sports bar, which gives it such a fun atmosphere to be in and the fried chicken taco is unreal. The aguachiles? Spicy little flavor bombs that live rent-free in my head. What really makes this place stand out is the customer service. You can tell the owners put so much love and hard work into this spot. They're always around making sure everyone's taken care of and having a good time. It's the kind of place you walk into once and already know you'll be back. Big thanks to the entire team for creating a place that's easy to love and hard to leave!

Yelp
A really nice sports bar with great food! Lots of TVs and a nice indoor bar area plus a large outdoor patio. Very dog friendly too. I've been to a few of the women's sports bars out there and this is so far my favorite! We went to watch the Indiana Fever game and they had on several other WNBA games plus the Dodgers game. I got the breakfast quesadilla which was crispy and delicious. My girlfriend got the asada hash which was also really good. A great mix of atmosphere, sports, and delicious food. Will be back!

Yelp
Untamed Spirits is my new favorite spot in town! Having taken over the old Trophy Wife location in May and hard launching in June, I have no complaints (well, except for parking but that's LA). We've been here a few times over the course of the launch and watched the development of the space and menu. Management is very warm and open to feedback. Service is excellent! Tara was our server for brunch 2x and she is a rockstar. At the grand opening, she was getting plates out so quickly despite the rush. The vibe varies on where you're sitting and whether or not a big game is on. Perfect place to catch soccer, basketball, or men's baseball this summer. Patio is calmer with tons of seating and very dog and family friendly. At the grand opening, we ordered the brisket omelet, chicken sando (comes with an egg- nice touch), and my new favorite caesar salad which was plated beautifully. To drink, we had a lychee martini, seasonal Pride 75, and pitcher of cider. Looking forward to working our way through the menu!

Yelp
LA really lucked out with Untamed Spirits. This place is *exactly* what the people envision when all chant in unison that ~we want a Women's Sports Bar~ There's ample indoor/outdoor seating including spaces to lounge, women's sports playing on every screen (THANK YOU), and tons of diverse food options. I personally went with the vegan avocado tacos, which were absolutely delish, and the portion size was perfect. They had multiple white claw flavors to choose from, which was a nice surprise! Service was also surprisingly fast and so so friendly! I cannot emphasize enough how stellar it is to have a Women's Sports Bar that is exactly what it says it is, a sports bar that sincerely and actually plays women's sports. Untamed Spirits is absolutely worth the drive from Long Beach, we'll absolutely be back for ACFC away games.

Yelp
Perfect place to watch sports - especially women sports! Went in for Taco Tuesday and had delicious tacos and a passion fruit margarita. I also couldn't resist their Angel City Pink Drink! Lots of TVs and indoor seating, along with an outdoor patio. Will definitely come back and catch more games here!
google avatar

Yelp
"LA city's first home for women's sports" definitely does not live up to that. As a sports fan I've been to several locations where they play live games, and I've never been rushed out like they did here..and we were rushed out so that they can show reality TV instead. The service was not great and I understand that its still fairly new, but even some people who came to watch the reality TV show ended up leaving and went home instead due to the lack of service. Hope they get better, but I definitely won't be back to see it.

Yelp
Really great space - very spacious with plenty of outdoor seating. The staff are friendly.

Yelp
This bar just recently opened up and I love the relaxed environment, everyone was enjoying their time and it felt safe. Plus, it's a sports bar first and foremost and I love that they're showing women's sports. All the bartenders and waiters are so nice and inviting, especially Valeria who accommodated my cousin and I when we got our orders mixed up. Most importantly, the drinks were strong but not too strong and they didn't overcharge.
google avatar

Barndi K.

Yelp
Surprisingly large menu and large outside patio (with no TV) for a sports bar. Good for mixed company of people who are and are not interested in watching a game. BIG primary TV centered around one area w several smaller ones by it and a row of TVs across the back of the long bar offers plenty of TV watching. Happy hour specials (daily?) and everything from pizza to tacos to salads offer lots of options for all dietary needs. Would even recommend even if you aren't going to watch a game bc of the outdoor patio. Parking can be limited and tricky on the steep incline.

Yelp
I heard a lot about this place on the news and came here to watch the NBA finals. Parking can be a little challenging in this area but the bar is really nice. It's much cleaner than a typical sports bar. It's awesome that they show women's sports plus other popular games on 17 tv screens. There's a solid food and drink menu with good cocktails too. I only had the fries (which were perfectly crispy on the outside and delicious) but everyone else really liked the food. Elevated food and drink options but still well priced and approachable. Really friendly owners, welcoming vibe to all. This place was packed for the NBA finals but sounds like it's been busy since they launched which is amazing. The patio area is huge and comfy and the inside seating is nice too.

Yelp
Okay I'm writing this review as a lesbian who loves women's sports, who was really excited to hear about a women's sports bar in LA. Yesss, let's go Sparks, Angel City, etc!! My review is meant to help the owners improve, and I really hope they do, as my friends and I want to support this bar, but we were disappointed in our experience. Here we go: About 10 of my friends and I decided to travel to Untamed Spirits to watch the Sparks game on a Sunday. It was everyone's first time. When we walk in, it's not even on the channel of the game. There is only the Dodgers game and men's soccer playing on all of the screens. Not one women's sports game in sight. Even though there were tons of wnba games on that day. Huh!? I ask the server to please turn on the Sparks game on 3 TVs that our tables were next to. She came back and said she could only turn it on 2, because someone got angry at her for trying to change the Dodger game. I looked around but couldn't see anyone watching it. In any case, this is LA. You can go to literally any bar and watch the Dodgers. Isn't this supposed to be the first ever women's sports bar!? That's what we thought it was marketed as. And they just got a room full of lesbians arrived to watch the WNBA content on that day. The volume wasn't even paired to the Sparks game after it was turned on. There was 0 decor on the walls to indicate that it was a women's sports bar. Where are the sports paraphernalia for WNBA, NWSL, PWHL, etc?? Flags?? Team tshirts?? Nothing. By walking in you would literally never tell they supported women's sports, the decor was plain cookie cutter, random bar. They also only had 1 server working the entire room so ordering and getting food and drinks took a long time, so I imagine they're still figuring out staffing. After the game we played cornhole outside - a fun perk! But the game was set up right where they store the trash so the smell was so disgusting and so potent the entire time that we couldn't play long. There was also a meat cutter on the floor next to the game?? Felt weird and unsanitary. We want to support you guys!! But the experience we had was quite disappointing. Hoping they improve and it becomes what we want it to be - and awesome hang out to watch women's sports!! Update: I can't respond to the comment below from the owner, so I am just editing my post to respond: Hello owner! Thanks for responding. However you are saying there were "no live games" is a weird thing to say. It was July 5, 2025 and there were at least 2 WNBA games on that day. I'm glad you found my review useful but weird to assume you know what day I came and say that there were no live games on!? Lol. I literally said we "came for the Sparks game." Man, that response was kinda disappointing too!

Yelp
We had such a great time at Trophy Wife in Silver Lake! We went to watch the Mexico vs. Canada match, and the energy in the place was incredible. A huge shoutout to our server, Kayla--she's hands down one of the best. From the moment we walked in, she made us feel so welcome and taken care of. We've been to Trophy Wife plenty of times, and she always delivers amazing service. Even with a packed house, she somehow manages to be super attentive and genuinely friendly, which makes all the difference.

Yelp
The food is fantastic. Service not the best, but the food more than makes up for it. That's the headline, read on if you wish. This is one of the coolest neighborhood restaurants I've found in all of Los Angeles. It's like being in someone's awesome private garden backyard. I instantly loved it! What a great atmosphere! It's nice and open with plenty of various types of indoor and outdoor seating. I went there for happy hour which starts at 4:00PM, and my friend and I arrived just a little after 4:00PM and there were just a couple of other people there. We sat for quite a while and nobody ever came to our table. My friend had to go to the bar and get some menus for us. I won't go on and on, but that's how the service was. You'd get your drink and your food but they really didn't come to check if everything was OK. My ice tea was never refilled. Had to ask for the tab, etc. However, the food is super good. Well worth what was lacking in service. I had a Margarita Pizza on the happy hour menu. It was paper thin and it was perfect!! Wow factor and thumbs-up emojis inserted here! Take note, they have Pizza Wednesday...any pizza $10. Guess whose coming back for that deal? haha!!! We also had a chicken quesadilla on the happy hour menu. It was also terrific...jam-packed with chicken and goodness. Big yes to that one, too. There are also some big screen TVs in case you want to go there and watch a game. Definitely bookmark this place!

George Y.

Yelp
Fantastic food and awesome vibes. Price is totally reasonable and delicious. Can't wait to see more of it. We had the chicken quesadilla and breakfast burrito as well as the passion fruit margarita and sour sop margarita. Recommend trying their taco specials as the price can't be beat!

Yelp
What an incredible new addition to the neighborhood!!! We needed a womens bar and we finally got it! The owners are amazing, the food is great and the ambiance is perfect! Go here!
google avatar

Jenna N.

Yelp
Man, it was nice while it lasted. Went on Wednesday for the pizza night and it was closed with a sign saying it's been taken over by new management. This place changes hands faster than any place I've ever seen. Their taco Tuesday and Wednesday pizza was amazing so I hope they plan to keep those the way it was. Service was always subpar and very much sports bar level - slow and impersonal - but the food made up for it.

Yelp
Finally, a relaxing, spacious bar in the neighborhood! I live down the hill from this place, and stopped by after work with some friends to check out this spot we'd seen on Insta that was advertising itself as a pro- women's sports bar. While I'm not a huge sports fan, my friends love watching b-ball & soccer, so we caught two different games playing simultaneously on the big screens. It was taco tuesday, so we had some yummy tacos & drinks that were very filling and we were able to have conversations without shouting, which is a huge plus about this place; unlike many other bars in Los Feliz, it's not insanely loud that you have to scream in order to talk. Def coming back for happy hour next & to try their margarita specials!
google avatar

JV V.

Yelp
I know it's a terrible name it kept me away from it for months till all my friends started telling me how amazing this place is. 1. The chef st this place is absolutely a pro! 2. One of the best pizza in LA 3. Tuesday tacos are insane and very experimental favors 4. Huge patio 5. Smoke friendly 6. The entire crew is extremely friendly and helpful 7. Bartenders extremely good Great for families

Yelp
So, I've been coming here for a couple years now (Trophy Wife) and have always appreciated the welcoming atmosphere. I come for events that that now friends put on and just enjoy how comfortable the space outside is. The food is quality, my only complaint is the loss of the incredible pizza from the menu by the new owners (Untamed Spirits). I'm super happy that the new owners seem very inclusive and stoked to have that be even more a thing. Just...you know...pizza
google avatar

Alysha S.

Yelp
Untamed Spirits is an important location! It's really affirming for the bar to essentially say that you can both be a woman and really want to watch the NBA Finals.
google avatar

Aurora B.

Yelp
Very cute bar! Ample seating both indoor and outdoor. Nice happy hour menu with ample drink options, and a few apps to go along with the drinks. Very clean bathrooms, always a plus. And love a bar dedicated to women's sports! Would definitely go again
google avatar

Marjorie U.

Yelp
I love their tacos! The Short Rib taco is hands down my favorite so delicious and packed with flavor. Plus, the prices are just right! I did find the margarita could use a little work, but that won't stop me from returning for those amazing tacos. Next time, I'm excited to give their quesadillas a try!
google avatar

Catherine M.

Yelp
Finally came back for the pizza and it was so good for $10 dollars. They also have a happy hour for drinks on top of it so overall another great experience. We came on the earlier side so it wasn't too busy and the pizza came out quick.

Carmen W.

Yelp
This is the old Trophy Wife bar turned Untamed Spirits. Everything's been upgraded and curated to perfection! I love the casual indoor outdoor experience, and the great atmosphere to watch sport...I'm officially a regular!
google avatar

Sabrina D.

Yelp
I came at 6pm on a Wednesday to take an advantage of the $10 pizza! Service was great my waitress was helpful, good vibes. The inside has loud music playing so we opted for the chill outdoor patio & it was cute but note you get bit up by mosquitos during the summer!! I got bit 6 times and my boyfriend once. I had to move inside. Food was good that's it. Brisket quesadilla was packed which I loved but if you ever had Hello Fresh, it was giving that lol 5/10. Pepperoni pizza was 6.5/10 & Benno 6/10 they were edible but really just nothing special I wouldn't pay full price for these ($18). If you want to give it a try come on a Wednesday for the deal. Overall experience 6/10 I wanted to love it, it just wasn't worth it and I don't think I'd come back. The overall price I paid for what I got is the only reason I'm not mad at it.
google avatar

Alicia R.

Yelp
We had the best time tonight thanks to Kayla and crew. We called ahead and got a reservation in front of two tvs so we could watch Copa America and WNBA (at the same time) and she was so hospitable, she even turned on the sound for the WNBA game. The pizza was good, we loved the nachos, and my favorite was the draft cider. They have happy hour, high and low top tables + indoor/outdoor options. We also found street parking straight away.
google avatar

KC M.

Yelp
Stopped by for a drink during happy hour. My friend lives within walking distance so we decided to try it and we were very happy with the decision we made! The outdoor seating is a great catch. There's multilple spaces for just a couple people or a large group both indoors and out. There's also great sun coverage so you won't be baking out there. The happy hour offers decent deals like $7 well drinks. Today when I went (Wednesday 06/26) they had a $10 pizza special and it looks like they have some other deals throughout the week. The taco Tuesday deals look pretty good so I'll have to try it out. We just had a drink and sat and enjoyed the ambiance so I can't say too much outside of that. The waitress was very nice! Through some casual conversation we learned it was her first day but I wouldn't have known as she was pretty attentive even as it was getting busier and I think she was the only waitress until what seemed like a hostess arrived. So I applaud her for getting all the tables indoors and out on her own whilst still keeping up. I will be back this week and will add more to the review on the food.

Yelp
Its our first time to try that place Oh my we had a bad experience, we order our food but ofcourse our wine came first but were waiting an hour for our food that we ORDERs did not come yet, we were surprise because the couple in front of us came first the order, but our order did not come yet so we asked the Guy wer is our order? So she asked the lady who took our orders And this irresponsible lady, did not give our orders to the chef. She forgot. we waited an hour. So We just decided to leave and this lady brought the check to pay our wine bill, She did not even say Sorry to us, huh i was so MAD i hope this lady will pay attention to her job. or else u will lose a customers. Im just so excited but really bad experience she messed up our night.

Yelp
Came here with some friends for a quick dinner and happy hour. We opted to sit on the patio which was fun and festive. The inside also seemed cool with a lot of TVs if you are into watching sports. They were playing a lot of throwback hits, mainly Justin Timberlake (not great but we'll give them a pass for this one). The service here was awesome. The server was super attentive and friendly. We ended up ordering a pitcher of margaritas which was a great deal at $37. I had the burger which was pretty juicy and the fries were standard bar fries. Not overly crispy and not soggy and seasoned well. My friend got the brisket tacos which she raved about. Another person in our party got the chicken sandwich which was also pretty good. Overall, a pretty great spot. We just missed happy hour, but down to come another time to check that out. Also would be down to try their brunch deal!

Nicole R.

Yelp
The food was just ok. Was really excited to try a new place that could potentially be a weekly go to. The service was confusing. We had multiple servers and after our food was delivered it was oddly difficult to flag someone down. Toward the the middle of the meal there we found a hair in the food which ruined the appetite and added to the experience. Even after notifying the staff nothing was said or done for any customer reassurance.
google avatar

Jerry K.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The chicken wings were absolutely delicious. The chips with guacamole was perfect and the tacos were absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable friendly. The server was super attentive and owner Anate came up to say hello. She did a great job setting the place up the plants the location of the TVs, the freedom to hang out, I would recommend it to any couple that's looking for a date night or anybody looking to watch a game. And they are dog friendly which means a lot to us.
google avatar

Greg T.

Yelp
As a 9ers fan I am always looking for a sports bar to watch my team. This one popped up so of course I had to check it out. Location is awesome but parking is rough. The hills aren't the easiest to park on but once you find a spot the location is convenient. The patio and bar are very nice and clean and the servers are super attentive. Food and drinks were decent as well. Ordered the chicken breakfast sandwich, it's was small but every tasty. I'll be back to try more things on the menu and watch games.
google avatar

Kansas G.

Yelp
Anat is so sweet! This has been our spot for the World Series. Pizza is amazing (unbelievable for LA!) and everyone is so friendly. Their fries are also AMAZING! Half indoor, half outdoor, so lots of fresh air and such a nice patio day & night
google avatar

Suzanne R.

Yelp
Phenomenal food, service... sincerely unique. Everything about this place was five stars. We came, we saw, we'll be back. We saw Joni Mitchell Saturday night at the Hollywood Bowl. We embraced Trophy Wife for a bottomless mimosa Sunday brunch to watch NFL sports based on a yelp review. The perfect crescendo to a phenomenal experience. I'm encouraging Trophy Wife to sell some "merch"... I'd buy it... and wear it proudly! Nice job, Trophy Wife team!
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
A lovely atmosphere and space! They let us play a specific video for our own comedy show premiere and could not have been more accommodating with making that happen. I will continue to come back with friends and colleagues for various events and occasions. Strong recommend!
google avatar

Steven H.

Yelp
I almost dreamt of this day, trophy wife returning. And it has. Same original owner and same kitchen staff. Inflation made prices go up but that's fine because I'm tired of the rotation. Glad she's back!!
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
Have been coming to Trophy Wife for years and has always been a great spot for laidback happy hour, dinner with friends and football Sundays -- happy to now recommend them also as an event space! I hosted 30 friends in the white party tent and can't say enough about how awesome it was. The redesign is stunning, and the semi-private area is so spacious and comfy. So grateful for the personalized attention from friendly staff and bartenders, and the owner made everything SO easy! Love the new pizza. We'll definitely be back soon!

Meta M.

Yelp
The outdoor space is filled w comfortable seating, and natural sunlight. I liked the food and guests all seemed to really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Menu has enough to satisfy various tastes. We came during an open mic on a Sunday so lots of laughs filled the air.

Yelp
Let me tell you a story of a beaten down fanbase. A fanbase so desperate for a winning team that when they finally found it, they also found friends and community in a most unlikely place. For roughly a season and a half, Hyperion Public was the home on game day for Detroit Lions fans. Friends and memories were made but at the most inopportune time, Hyperion Public shut down, a mere 48 hours before the biggest game in Lions franchise history. As Lions fans, we scrambled to find another bar that could accommodate a raucous, respectful crowd of mostly Michiganders calling bars all over NE LA for a spot and came up short. So on Saturday, a mere 12 working hours before the game on Sunday, I called Trophy Wife and asked, "do you think you could accommodate us?" Their response? "Absolutely! Just get here early!" And we did. The game was ultimately not how we wanted it to end, but the staff at Trophy Wife stepped up beautifully for what had to have been one of their busiest Sundays in a long time. The owner found me early on and gave me her cell number saying to please not hesitate to text or call her when the new season starts so that they can do even better. Trophy Wife's set up is great for game day. They feature a TON of TVs and their indoor/outdoor set up is simply awesome. The food was great and considering just how busy they were, seemed to come in a reasonable amount of time. So from this sad Lions fan the day after the big game, I just want to say THANK YOU to Trophy Wife for stepping up and helping us Lions fans find a place to come and cheer on our team.
google avatar

Austin C.

Yelp
The food is amazing. From the pizza to the tacos! The brisket mango tacos are amazing. 4 of those tacos and a strawberry/mango marg is the way to go! The staff is also amazing! Very attentive. Can't go wrong with the vibe of the place, everyone is very happy to serve and be there!
google avatar

Rose B.

Yelp
Excellent sports bar. Great patio for mingling (even on cold nights). The staff there is all super friendly and are always hustling. Their fries are bomb! And they can accommodate some gluten-free requests (protein style burger). 10/10 would recommend!

Anthony B.

Yelp
Nice after-work date night spot. The staff is very friendly and the food and drinks are a must try. Definitely will come again!

Yelp
We had some free time before our comedy show started so we decided to head over to Trophy wife bar and have a couple drinks. This was my first time visiting trophy wife bar. As soon as we walked in, I really liked the set up they have going on with the outdoor patio and the open area indoor seating / bar seating. I decided to try some of their finger food and went with their tuna tar tar and a homemade hummus. I really recommend both of these items. They were both delicious, especially the hummus it had this mushroom jelly in the middle that paired perfectly with the pita bread and hummus. Service was quick, and the waiter was super friendly, which was very much appreciated. I would definitely stop by again if I'm ever in the area. This is a really chill spot to come hang out with friends.

Carl M.

Yelp
When Trophy Wife on Saturday with my lady and was treated like second hand citizen. The sever was so bad the like we was evening there. We never got our order people came after was treated better then us. MY recommendation don't go there on a Saturday. It would been ok only if the banter apologize forget our order. instead she just put the bill on the desk and walked away with evening No apologies. Need get better help.

Cristy Z.

Yelp
Tj, who bartends, was the sweetest and most welcoming bartender I have seen here in L.A! She really makes you feel like family! For all you transports, it's a home away from home! The other staff has also been welcoming, putting the outdoor heaters on and making sure we are comfortable! This bar is great !

Yelp
LA Living we literally spend this entire day out and about. We had a comedy show to attend to that night and we wanted to grab a little Scooby snack before going to the show. We were in the Los Feliz Area and my HONEY stays finding new places to try we ended up here at Trophy Wife Bar. As soon as you walk in they have a beautiful rustic patio. I fell in love with everything. So many beautiful plants and the decorative lights and everything that they have made me feel so comfortable. As you come in the restaurant you choose where to sit. The server approached us very quickly and took our order immediately. We ended up trying to a few things from the menu and I immediately gave them 10 stars. I ordered the Tuna Tar and my husband chose the Hummus and Pita Bread. My husband's cousin ordered some Hot wings and steak tacos. Everything was absolutely delicious, everything tasted fresh and they had a variety of items I will be going back to try. The location is very good close to where we live. I definitely recommend it, if in Los Feliz you have to check out this cute little place.
