Omakase spot cause I heard they were open by workers of the tsukiji fish market so I came with no reservations and waited about 15 minutes because I requested to seat at the bar to watch the chefs do their magic. The chef wasn't chatty but I wasn't expecting him too I just watched the man work and feed me and before I knew it gone. Seasonal Omakase is the way to go!

I must say that the tuna was pretty good, although I'm not sure it was worth the $55 price tag. I could also be a bit biased because I keep comparing every sushi place to this other one sushi spot I really love (shout out to Senya!) Our party of 8 came in on a Friday night at around 7 for a birthday dinner. Most of us (including me), ordered the Uogashi Tuna Assortment (salad, miso soup, steamed egg custard, 2 p lean tuna, 2 p medium fatty tuna, 2 p fatty tuna, 2 p seared tuna, 2 p negitoro (toro and scallion)). I'm not saying that I didn't enjoy every single bite of my tuna, because I definitely did. I'm just saying that you can get similar quality tuna, without breaking the bank. Plus, the service was kind of slow so there's that too. Maybe all of these great reviews are mainly for the omakase experience.

Omakase was excellent. The fish practically melts in your mouth. I did expected some delicacy such as uni, scallop or clams. However there was none.

Walked by around 8pm on a Friday night and managed to snag seats at the bar. Was only allowed to select from the omakase options, but $75 for omakase in NYC is very reasonable. Dining at the sushi bar is a great experience, and the nigiri was fresh and what you would expect quality wise. Uni cocktail was beautifully presented! Only drawback was the washcloth - rather unsightly watching the same one get used for a variety of purposes (even though it was washed intermittently throughout the night).

I've been here a few times for brunch and it's always been a wonderful experience. The staff is so kind and attentive. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. My favorite thing to get is the sashimi set on the brunch menu. It gives you so much food for a great price. If you come for brunch, it's usually quiet, and you can sit at the sushi bar and talk with the chefs!

This is the omakase that worth every penny. Not just only fishes 🐠 are good and fresh also the service is excellent. Recommend!!! I attached the photos, the fishes, that I liked the most. You gonna discover the rest of omakase once you try.

I have to say I had high expectations coming here with all the great reviews, but was utilmately underwhelmed by both the experience and the food for their $95 omakase. I came with 5 other friends and we all thought the same. Firstly, I made reservations for 8 a week before for the sushi bar and the day before our reservation, they try to move us to a table. This was quite upsetting because who does omakase at a table? Part of the omakase experience is watching your chef prepare your food and handing it to you personally. 2 of our friend had to drop out so we can still sit at the sushi bar. So I didn't deduct a star for this because I like to judge the food and experience. So we go there and got seated at the sushi bar by the front corner where you can't see the sushi chef prepare your food. He's working 4 seats away and had to walk over to give us the sushi. Definitely the worst seat at the bar. So much for the experience. But I was still trying be positive and was looking forward to some great food. The first plate of sashimi was quite mediocre. Some piece didn't taste very fresh. Then came the 10 piece of sushi. None were very memorable and some felt like it was just defrosted. The temperature of the fish wasn't right and not very fresh. Overall definitely one of the worst omakase experience + food I ever had. Maybe we had a bad sushi chef because he seem a bit rushed and not as intricate as the other two sushi chefs working. Base on this experience I wouldn't recommend coming here for omakase unless you know which chef your getting. One of our friends told us to ask for Jun, but I didn't make the request since they already tried to move us to a table. Maybe he would be better. Either way they should not seat people at the front corner if they're doing omakase unless they plan to add a preparing table in front.

Elegant place with high quality sushi, sashimi and the best ikura uni rice! The weekend brunch is amazing! Lots of good food for reasonable price.
