Where to Eat Balkan Food in London | Eater London

"This food-stall found on Brick Lane at the weekend features hearty Albanian meals, from okra and leek stews to traditional spinach pite. The father-son owned spot cannot be missed among the many stalls, as they sport multiple red flags with double-headed eagles. As suggested by the name, there are some Italian-style pasta dishes also on the menu." - Kaltrina Bylykbashi

Ok. This is a tough one to review. It’s a great food hall. Vibrant with lots of options and not too busy. I just think we made the wrong chose of food stall. The sprouts were incredible and I’d order them again, the chicken pieces had way too much batter, I don’t think some of them had much chicken at all. Also one of my chicken portions definitely had other meat in it (lamb i think), which I know would put some people off. I’d go back to the market to try other food, but wouldn’t recommend this stall. It was just called ‘Singapore Food’. It doesn’t have a name or a way to rate it individually. A lot of the stalls offer samples and we were too British to accept them… but we wish we had before choosing. Go prepared to be confident, take the samples and then you’ll probably only need to order a small portion anyway 😆

I stumbled upon Brick Lane Food Hall by complete chance while walking around London on February 14, and I’m so glad I did! I had no plans, just a hungry stomach, and the incredible aromas coming from the stalls were simply irresistible. The atmosphere was lively, with so many food options to choose from. I couldn’t resist trying the dumplings, and they were absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Whether you’re exploring the area or just looking for a great place to grab a bite, this food hall is a must-visit. If you’re nearby, do yourself a favor and try something—you won’t regret it!

Nice place to take a break from shopping and try out some street food. Stalls give out free samples to get you hooked in. I had a very nice portion of Singaporean (I think?) food. Would recommend - but your experience may vary depending on what you get!

Great place to try out varieties of food and to bring your friends and family. Most stores give free samples that will help you decide what food you should come back to and buy. Recommend the rice burger with Zen Musibi get either the curry katsu rice burger or the spicy chicken katsu. They also sell good rice balls. Another stall is the Lithuanian dishes, really like the mixed beef and chicken rice with sour cream (sorry forgot to take photos). Try the Sugar cane juice with Juice city, its taste so natural tied the strawberry and lime and pineapple, they were really good. There are other varieties of drink as well like matcha soda, thai milk tea in other stalls that I recommend.

Visited Brick Lane in East London after many years. The area has developed which was brilliant to see. This food hall was amazing! If you are a foodie you will love it. So many independent stalls with home cooked food from around the world at very affordable prices. Refreshing to see the majority of stall holders provided halal food and it was clearly marked on their stalls. Less than £10 for a main meal with a decent portion size. Senegalese, Ethiopian, Singaporean, Korean, Chinese, Indian, Lithuanian just to name a few. Indian chai stalls were delicious and the cold Matcha tea was lovely. Freshly pressed sugar came juice. Great to watch how it is made, almost like a ritual. Lots of vintage clothing shops and music shops selling vinyl records which are having a revival. Can't beat a good LP! Happy trip down memory lane :) Give this food hall a try and the surrounding areas of Brick Lane leading into Bangla Town. Lots of Begali food shops with delicious savouries and sweets.
