Upstate Stock

The store is cute with lots of merchandise to look at. The line gets long at peak periods but moves so fast and staff is friendly. Our first time there and I heard almost every order called out as campfire latte so wanted to try it. It was very different and my sister characterized the taste as smoked bacon, which I think is pretty accurate. Also reminiscent of some whiskey cocktails because of the Smokey bitter taste. I can see why some seeking something different would like it but it was too much for me and I couldn’t drink more than one sip. I also tried a sip of the mocha, which sounds like a much safer drink option but it was very bitter. If you’re into bolder coffees this could be great! I prefer the more gentle tastes.

Upstate Stock is a coffee shop located at 2 Berry Street, Brooklyn, NY 11249. They’re an industrial-chic outpost featuring espresso drinks and pastries, plus American-made home goods and gifts. We got lost and amazed at all the wonderful items for sale. It’s one great shop and the staff is friendly.

My big bro (he's a model) and I stopped in here to get some fuel before hitting the track, as these days no breakfast tops a black coffee and a croissant. Upon entering and getting caught in a flash flood of natural light, I realized Upstate Stock is like a specialty grocery store, trinket shop, Medmen, clothing store, and coffee shop all blended into one. Great vibe... rolling with Big Bro (model) he's just going to put you on some great spots. I got to the front of the coffee line, and noticed a pretzel croissant. I had never seen such a beautiful fusion of 2 seemingly contradictory pastries. This is the kind of innovation that makes me optimistic about the future of mankind. My only cause for hesitation was the pretzel croissant was a TANK, and I didn't want to be bogged down on the track as I needed to impress Big Bro. I left it up to the croissant gods and asked the barista "Is the Pretzel Croissant good?" She responded "Idk, I've never had it to be honest." Damn. I wanted any kind of reason to pull the trigger on it, but nonetheless, the croissant gods had spoken. As always, I got an iced americano and a butter croissant. Quality. Honestly this was a top 5 croissant I've had in the city, but it's not touching C&B over in Alphabet City. The clear #1 seed. When we were in line, one of the baristas asked if we wanted a free iced oat milk latte, as they had accidentally made an extra one. I thought that was so sweet, as usually baristas will just throw it out. A great touch.... Big bro said no though because it had too much sugar. Did I mention he is a model? On the way out, I almost bought a New Yorker puzzle but didn't want big bro to judge me and think I'm a dork. I think I need to be more comfortable being myself, but I'm really shy......... Delicious ceremonial grade matcha! The store is a real gem! Great for gifts and products to make you happy

Overwhelmingly awesome spot. I initially stopped in because I was looking for a spot to sit to get out of the rain and enjoy a hot cup of tea, but there isn't indoor seating here. So I skipped the beverage and decided to browse their amazing mercantile selection instead. This place has absolutely everything. I felt like I was in a store curated by Wes Anderson. As if anticipating a need I didn't even know I had, Upstate Stock had 10-minute incense matchsticks that I wish I would have bought in bulk instead of just buying one! I can't wait to go back and shop some more, as well as try some coffee to go

Best coffee in the neighborhood hands down. Their beans are locally sourced and they use great milk/milk alternatives which really make a difference. Their matcha has got to be some of the best in NYC as well. I love shopping here for myself and others because they put so much thought into their products-sustainably made and sourced. I always come here during the holidays for gifts too. Honestly obsessed with everything in this store. On top of that the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The owner is one of the most genuinely kind and caring people I've met (and his dog Buddah too :)). THANK YOU FOR EXISTING UPSTATE STOCK. WE LOVE YOU

Found this gem exploring the area and decided I wanted an evening coffee. The store is really nice and draws you in. Once you step inside your eyes are greeted with many quality products. It took me a moment to settle and focus on what I was looking at, but this wasn’t a bad or overwhelming sort of gaze. More enticing and thrilling to see so many cool things that one just wants to slow down and take it in. They had milk and eggs, some amazing sounding vegan products, to First Nation Peoples natural paints. Home goods and books. It really was a nice one stop shop that became more than just a coffee visit and saw some items to buy for great gifts. The coffee was fresh and tasted great to be near the end of day; so you know they care about every cup! And the staff was super kind and friendly to my partner and I. Fair prices all around the store and definitely is a shop you should stop in and support.

I love Upstate Stock!! This has been a favorite coffee meet-up place of mine since moving to NYC 5 years ago. Everyone at the shop is so lovely, you can tell there is so much care that goes into every intentional detail of their thoughtfully curated space, from the shop aesthetics to the staff, the brands they feature and the quality of the products they offer. I typically get an Oatmilk latte and it’s always exactly how I like it. Also the owner is so funny. I was glued to their stories when they were fighting for the city to put in a more protective barrier in front if the shop 👏🏼
