"Though it hasn’t always fostered the same notoriety as other Argyle restaurants, Uptown Pho serves a traditional bowl featuring eye round steak, flank, soft tendon, tripe, and beef meatballs that’s every bit as hearty and flavorful as those served by the big names in the area. Not to mention that its bo la lat, seasoned beef rolls wrapped in betel leafs, are things of beauty. Order online via Grubhub." - Naomi Waxman, Eater Staff

Came late Friday night close to closing. Super nice older employee/boss? Didn't rush us at all. The food was delicious as always! So happy they didn't just throw food together so they could get us out. The ingredients, especially bean sprouts, were still fresh! Love this place even more. Definitely my favorite place to eat around Argyle.

It was okay! I heard this place was good, and my favorite pho restaurant was closed so I decided to try Uptown Pho. The broth and meat weren't too flavorful, though they put in a lot of onions which gave the pho much needed flavor variety. I was also sick, so I really just needed a big bowl of soup--the portions are really generous, lots of soup and meat. Couldn't even finish it! That being said, I probably won't be coming back here for just pho.

Went for the first time last night with close friends and family. Really enjoyed the food. We tried many of the appetizers and they were all very good. I especially liked the spring rolls. Loved the Grilled pork, chop, shredded pork, pork skin and sunshine egg with steam rice. Looking forward to coming back soon.

I know sometimes it seems to me that many of the places in Argyle are the same, but uotown pho actually does seem better than the alternatives. The food is really tasty and very cheap especially the $5.00 Banh Mis which are served with super crispy bread and are very well sized. The pho is great as well as their steamed rice plated and vermicelli dishes too. The service is a tad slow sometimes and there is a lack of seating but only at peak peak eating times. Definitely worth going to.

Their vermicelli is amazing! I highly recommend the one with pork (the restraunt's favorite), it's cooked and seasoned perfectly! Their banh mi is yummy and big! This place offers food that's super delicious for a very cheap price (like $3-8, can't beat that). Their staff is nice and helpful. If you ask them their recommendation, they'll give you great advice based on what you like!

Went on a Wednesday around 7 PM, and five out of the six tables were occupied. Uptown Pho is BYOB, and their Pho Beef Noodle Soup contains cinnamon.

I’ve never left a review before but this place was too good not to. Some of the best Vietnamese food in Chicago. I’d highly recommend the banh mi with beef stew. SO GOOD. Also the service was perfect and the server was the nicest guy. Now stop reading this and go!

I had high expectations about this Pho place, the broth was like sweet clove tea, i asked xtra karge and i got tons of onion and 7 super very thin slices of meat (like deli slices) the fried rolls ,just look at the pictures, one was dry, kind of fried in a flat, the other like double fried and very little meat, the flavors of the sandwiches were good, but very poor on protein and paté, one was with chicken and seem just vegetables inside, just 3 super small pieces of pork in one sandwich.
